It was my first time kayaking, but there was a briefing beforehand, and since it was a two-person kayak, I mostly left the paddling to my husband and enjoyed gliding along the river. The guide was very knowledgeable and taught us various things about birds and plants, which was educational. Although it rained at times and there were many clouds, I was worried about the sunset, but there were no clouds on the horizon, so we were able to see the sun setting, which was a very moving experience. I think we were able to have an experience that is not easily found.
カヤックは初めてでしたが事前にレクチャーもあり、2人乗りだったのでほぼ主人に漕ぐのは任せて気持ちよく川面を進み楽しめました。
ガイドさんの知識も豊富で、鳥や植物等色々なことを教えて頂き勉強になりました。
途中雨が降ったり、雲が多めで心配だったサンセットも水平線のところには雲がなかったので、最後の沈むところは見ることができてとても感動的な時間でした。
なかなかできない体験をさせてもらえたと思います。

I searched for a tour that could take me to the northernmost part, which is difficult to access individually, and I applied for this one. It was great that we could efficiently cover the area.
Since the hotel I was staying at was far from the meeting point, I had called a taxi for the morning, but unfortunately, it was forgotten for my individual booking, and I almost missed it! I hurriedly called the contact number for assistance, and it turned out that I could catch up by taking a bus partway. I managed to make it just in time! I'm glad my family trip wasn't ruined. I'm grateful to the kind tour guide and driver!
Later, when I asked the tour guide, I learned that if I had requested directly from the tour company from the beginning, I could have specified a meeting point closer to my hotel.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the tour itself, but it seems that the raw fish lunch didn't sit well with me, and I felt a bit unwell afterward. Normally, I don't have such issues and am usually quite sturdy. That was a bit disappointing.
個人ではなかなか行きにくい最北部に行けるツアーを探してこちらを申込しました。効率的に回れて良かったです。
宿泊しているホテルが集合場所から離れていたので朝タクシーを呼んでいたのが、なんと個人のため忘れられて間に合わないという事態に！あわてて連絡先に電話して対応相談、通り道途中までバスで行けば合流できそうということで何とか間に合いました！家族旅行の計画が台無しにならず良かったです。親切な添乗員さんと運転手さんに感謝！
後で添乗員さんにきいたら、最初からツアー会社に直接依頼すれば、ホテルから近いその合流場所を指定することもできたみたいでした。
また、ツアーそのものは満足度高かったですが、生魚の昼食が体に合わなかったようで、その後ちょっと体調をくずしました。普段は余りそんなこともなく丈夫なはずなのに。それがちょっと残念でした。

My 4-year-old grandchild also participated. We had never done snorkeling before, but the staff took care of us the whole time, which made us feel safe. The weather was great that day, and we were able to fully enjoy the coral reefs. We took a lot of photos, and it became a wonderful memory. It was a safe and reassuring experience.

Since my friend was participating for the first time, I really wanted them to see the sea turtles, so we chose this tour, which has an attractive encounter rate. The location is about a 20-minute drive from the meeting point (shop), and they provide transportation. The explanation before moving was smooth, and we received a thorough briefing.
We were able to see many cute turtles, and the distance we were from them was the closest I've ever experienced. Of course, we couldn't touch them, but the sea turtles came close enough that it felt like our noses were almost touching, and they were incredibly adorable. They took many photos for us, and they were all shots we couldn't have taken ourselves, which made my friend very happy.
After snorkeling, a lady seemed to feel unwell, so we took a longer break in the car on the beach. The guide remained calm and handled the situation without rushing us. Since the only item we were advised to bring to the beach was a drink, I felt a bit cold while waiting. I think it would be good to bring a towel to wrap around yourself or a light cover-up that can get wet, especially as the weather gets colder after coming out of the sea. Also, if you're participating in the morning, a light breakfast might be a good idea.
During the transportation, we also received information about Miyako's gourmet spots, and we were able to enjoy the entire experience. Thank you, Tomita-san and Mayu-san!
一緒に参加した友人は初めてだったので、是非ともウミガメに会ってほしく、遭遇率が魅力的なこちらのツアーにお世話になりました。場所は集合場所(ショップ)から車で20分程の所で車で送迎してくれます。移動前の説明もスムーズで丁寧にレクチャーいただきました。
かわいいカメちゃんたちにたくさん会うかとができ、今までで1番の距離感でした。もちろん触れることはできませんが、ウミガメから近づいてきて、お互いの鼻先が触れそうなくらいの距離に感じるほどドアップでかわいかったです。写真もたくさん撮ってくださって、自分では撮れないような写真ばかりで友人も大喜びでした。
シュノーケリング後、ご婦人が気分が悪くなられたようで、ビーチの車内で少し長い休憩となりました。ガイドの方も焦らせることなく落ち着いた対応をしておられました。ビーチへの持参物は飲み物だけだったので待っている間に体が冷えてしまったのが少しつらかったです。
これからの季節は海から上がった後寒いと思いますので、包まれるタオルや濡れてもいい羽織物も持っていくとよいかも。あと、午前参加の場合は軽めの朝ごはんがいいかもですね。
移動中も宮古のグルメ情報など教えていただいたり、終始楽しく参加できました。とみたさん、まゆさん、ありがとうございました。

We participated as a group of four: two adults, one elementary school student, and one four-year-old. Joining this tour was definitely the right choice. We were able to borrow snorkeling gear and wetsuits for free. Fortunately, the weather was great, and we were able to see some very beautiful sights. Since it was the off-season in November, there were only us and one other couple participating that day. The staff included a veteran captain and a young man, both of whom were very helpful. They took many photos of us on the phantom island.
Although the kids had previously entered the water from the beach, this was their first time entering from a boat. We were worried, but they were attentive to the children's safety throughout the trip and stayed close by. Everyone was able to borrow wetsuits, so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about the cold.
大人2人と小学生 1名 4歳 1名の計 4人で参加しました。こちらのツアーに参加して正解でした。シュノーケルやウェットスーツまで無料で借りることができました。幸い天気にも恵まれ、とても美しい光景を見ることができました。11月のオフシーズンということもあってその日の参加はうちと もう1組のカップルのみ。スタッフさんはベテランらしきの船長さん1人と若い男性。2人ともとても良くしてくださいました。幻の島では写真をたくさん撮ってくださいました。
また、シュノーケルは、子供達はビーチからのエントリーをしたことはあるものの、ボートエントリーは初めて。心配していたのですか、終始子供の安全を気にかけて、そばにいてくださいました。
ウェットスーツも全員貸してもらえたので、寒さを気にせずに楽しむことが出来ました。

It was a small group of six people. Since we were moving as a group, I had to be a bit mindful of time-consuming adjustments to clothing. The path seemed straightforward enough that we wouldn't get lost, but it was nice to hear about points of interest that we might have overlooked without a guide. I was also happy that our guide took many photos for us.
In the end, we had to descend quickly due to the bus schedule (only on the trolley path), which was a bit tiring, but I think it was good to have someone lead us since missing the bus would have been more difficult.
Since it was nearly a 10-hour trek, I realized that building up physical strength is essential for the Jomon Sugi trekking.
6人の少人数のグループでした。グループでの行動なので、時間のかかる服の調整などは少し気を使いました。
道に迷うことはなさそうな道ではありましたが、ガイドさんなしだったらスルーしてしまいそうな見所も聞きながら行けたのはよかったです。写真もたくさん撮ってくれるガイドさんだったので嬉しかったです。
最後はバスの時間がありかなり速足での下山(トロッコ道のみ)となり少し疲れましたが、バスに乗れない方が大変なのでリードしてもらったのはよかったかなと思います。
10時間近くのトレッキングになるので、縄文杉トレッキングには体力作り必須だとよくわかりました。

- Want to quickly visit Kamikochi for solo travel or other trips
- Are anxious about driving to Kamikochi or have no means of transportation
- Want to avoid the hassle of transferring to buses or taxis
- Want to save their energy for exploring (especially since driving back can be tiring)
- Are staying in Nagano for resort work (definitely a great way to create memories!)
I checked the weather forecast and it looked fantastic, so I made a last-minute reservation two days prior (Hodaka Station/solo participant).
◎ Even though it was a last-minute reservation, I received a confirmation call the day before. The woman on the phone was very polite and made a great impression with her tone and choice of words. (She confirmed the meeting place and time, number of people, and what kind of vehicle would pick us up.)
On the day of the trip, I arrived at Hodaka Station 10 minutes early, and they were already waiting for me. Upon boarding, I was given a Kamikochi exploration map and a pamphlet. There were only three participants, including myself and an elderly couple, so we had a private taxi (Alpico Taxi). The driver was friendly and engaged in a lot of conversation, making the ride from Kamikochi to Hodaka Station enjoyable and quick.
We got off at Taisho Pond (around 9:50) and had two and a half hours to explore until the meeting time (around 12:30). *The times are just a guideline.
The driver kindly took notes and explained the meeting point, which was very helpful since I was in a hurry to understand it right away.
We strolled along the Azusa River course from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge. It felt great to walk along the riverbank. It was an unusually clear day with no clouds, and we could see the Hotaka mountain range clearly (see photos).
I was taking my time capturing the scenery with my camera, but I ended up dawdling too much and found myself needing to hurry to Kappa Bridge 30 minutes before the meeting time (laughs). I didn't have time to eat, so I bought and enjoyed a Kamikochi soft serve ice cream while walking (not the best manners, I know…). I also quickly checked out the souvenir shops before heading to the meeting point.
On the way back, I was supposed to get off at Hodaka Station, but the driver brought up the nearby Hodaka Shrine. When I mentioned I was planning to stop by on the way back, he kindly took me there!
● Advantages
- There is a wide range of pick-up and drop-off options from Omachi, Hodaka (Azumino), and Matsumoto stations and surrounding hotels.
- You avoid the hassle of transferring to the Kamikochi Line (buses or taxis), saving time on waiting and securing parking.
☆ I sat in the front seat of the private taxi, and when we entered Kamikochi, the driver waved to the security guard like he had a pass, so I joined in and waved too (laughs). It was fun! (laughs)
● Disadvantages
- There is a time limit, which could lead to mismanagement of time.

About 80-90% of the visitors were foreigners. There were significantly fewer tourists compared to the off-peak season.

Attire: Heattech, fleece-lined hoodie, down vest.
I worked up a sweat while walking, so it felt just right, but my hands and feet were cold. Most people were dressed for winter with down jackets, hand warmers, and scarves.
Wearing comfortable sneakers is perfectly fine.

天気予報を見て天気がすこぶる良さそうだったので2日前の直前予約（穂高駅/ひとり参加）
◎直前予約でしたが前日に予約の確認の電話があります。電話対応の女性の方のお声の雰囲気、言葉遣いなどがとても丁寧で好印象でした。（集合解散場所と時間、人数確認、どういった乗り物でお迎えにあがるかの内容です）
当日は10分前に穂高駅に着きましたがすでに待ってくださっておりました。乗車の際に上高地散策マップと上高地パンフレットを渡してくださりました。
参加者は自分とご年配のご夫婦の3名のみで貸切タクシー（アルピコタクシー）で運転手さんが気さくな方でたくさん会話をして下さったので上高地〜穂高駅間は退屈せずあっという間に到着
大正池にて降車（9:50頃）し、集合時間（12:30頃）までの2時間半の散策時間です。※時間はあくまでも目安です
集合場所に関しては運転手さんが丁寧にメモして説明してくださったので集合の際急いでいたのですぐに理解できて大変助かりました。
大正池〜河童橋までは梓川コースを散策
川岸を散策できるのでとっても気持ちよかったです。
この日はすごく珍しく雲一つない快晴でガスもなく穂高連峰もくっきり見れました※写真参照
自分はゆっくり散策しながらカメラで景色を撮ってましたが前半のんびりしすぎてウエストン碑辺りで集合時間の30分前になってしまい、河童橋まで早歩きする羽目に（笑）
食事する時間もなく上高地ソフトクリームを購入し食べ歩きしました（行儀悪いのですね…）
お土産屋さんも急ぎ足で見て集合場所へ
帰りは穂高駅下車予定でしたが、運転手さんが最寄りの穂高神社の話を切り出してくださりちょうど帰りに寄ろうと思っていたとお伝えしたら穂高神社まで送ってくださりました！！
●メリット
・大町、穂高（安曇野）、松本の駅や周辺ホテルの広範囲エリアの送迎がある。
・上高地線（バスやタクシー）への乗り継ぎの手間がないこと※待ち時間や駐車場の確保など手間は省けます。
☆今回貸切タクシーの助手席でしたが上高地に入る際に運転手さんが上高地の警備員さんに片手をあげて顔パスみたいな感じで通行しており一緒になって片手あげました（笑）それも楽しかっです（笑）
●デメリット
・時間制限があり時間配分に失敗する恐れがある

I was able to enjoy canoeing for a full two hours. The scenery was wonderful, and the instructor (Yuka) was very friendly, which made it easy to participate without any worries! Since the lower body tends to get wet, I recommend wearing a swimsuit or similar attire. Also, there aren't any changing facilities nearby, so it would be good to wear clothes that are easy to change into or to bring a large bath towel. Thank you very much for this experience!

My child couldn't swim alone and was at a level where they could play in the pool with a float, but the instructor taught us how to wear and use the equipment, and provided floats and goggles, making it easy for us to enjoy! The sea was clear, the weather was great, and we took many wonderful photos, which made me very satisfied! The changing room and restrooms were well-equipped, and they even provided shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and lotion, so I think we could use them without any issues for our outing afterward! 午後からで予約していたのですが事前にお電話くださり、小さなお子様がいるので午前中の方が波が穏やかだと思いますがどうされますか？というご提案もして下さりました。
子供は1人では泳げず、浮き輪使用でプールで遊べるレベルでしたがインストラクターの方が器具の装着や使い方を教えてくれたり、浮き輪やタコメガネ？を用意して下さっていたので無理なく楽しませてくださっていました！海もクリアな時期で気候もよく、素敵な写真もたくさん撮っていただき大満足です！
更衣室、お手洗いも完備され、シャンプー、トリートメント、ドライヤー、化粧水まで置いてくれていたのでその後のお出かけにも差し支えなく利用出来るかと思います！
また宮古島に来た際は利用したいアクティビティです！ありがとうございました！

We participated in this on our honeymoon! The guide was very friendly and approachable. It took about 30 minutes by car to reach the jungle, but along the way, he shared a lot of interesting facts and history about Ishigaki Island, which was very educational. The travel time felt like it flew by.
In the jungle, we were able to see various creatures like coconut crabs and hermit crabs. Many of them are not found in the Kanto region, so I was excited every time I spotted a new creature! It felt like I returned to my childhood and had a great time. We went with a family that had small children, and the guide was considerate of them, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves!
Finally, the guide also recommended a restaurant on Ishigaki Island, which impressed me with their hospitality.

Thank you for kindly answering our questions and accommodating us for photos at various spots. I had heard that November in Hokkaido starts to get cold, so I was prepared, wearing a down jacket, a Heattech shirt, Heattech tights, and windproof pants. During the walk, I was warm enough to even break a sweat. The autumn leaves were still plentiful, allowing us to feel both the autumn and the beginning of winter. The guide also informed us about how bears behave during this time, which made us feel safe while exploring. I would love to visit Shiretoko Goko again in a different season to see the rich nature throughout the year. Next time I come, I would like to request a star tour. Thank you very much for your help. I experienced stand-up paddleboarding for the first time at Kabira Bay. At 8:40 AM, my tour guide, Shinpei, arrived on time to pick me up at the ANA Continental Ishigaki Hotel. During the ride to the location, he kept the conversation lively with interesting topics about Ishigaki Island.
Once we arrived, I was grateful for the thorough instructions on how to operate and ride the paddleboard. The conditions at Kabira Bay that day were calm, and the water was clear and beautiful, which was truly moving. The weather was also perfect, with a refreshing breeze, and even when I fell into the water, it wasn't cold at all. I was so comfortable that I kept jumping into the water from the paddleboard—what a nice splash!
I had an amazing time and didn't want to leave. I wanted to paddleboard even more. I highly recommend this tour!

This was my first visit to Miyako Island. I wasn't sure what activities to do, but the fact that there was a 99% chance of seeing sea turtles was appealing, so I decided to participate. It was also my first time snorkeling, but the staff at Summer Resort Miyako Island taught me everything from scratch with great care, allowing me to snorkel without any worries. We were accompanied by a female staff member during our experience, and she took many beautiful photos for us, frequently checking in to see if we were okay. I think it's a very reassuring experience for women participating alone. We were lucky this time, as two sea turtles came close to us!! It was truly moving! After the experience, the female staff member, upon learning that it was our first visit to Miyako Island, wrote down recommendations for cafes and restaurants on a map and gave it to us! We participated as a family of six (with children aged 8, 9, and 10).
We had a dedicated instructor who made it easy for us, even as complete beginners! The children struggled a bit with the snorkeling, which required breathing through the mouth, but the instructor patiently taught them multiple times and provided encouragement in the water, so we were able to enjoy the experience without panicking. Even I, who am not a strong swimmer, was able to enjoy the experience while keeping an eye on the kids.
Being able to ride the boat, feed the fish, and see the beautiful ocean created wonderful memories, no matter how you look at it.
However, although the duration is stated to be about 2 hours, it seems like it might run over time, so it's best to allow some flexibility in your schedule afterward!

泳ぎの苦手な私自身も、子ども達を気にする余裕をもって体験できてます☆
船に乗れたこと、魚の餌やりができたこと、綺麗な海がみられたこと、どこを切り取っても素敵な思い出です(^^)
ただ、所要時間が2時間程度になってますが、なんだかんだ時間押すと思うので、後の予定には余裕を持った方がいいです！

The snorkeling point had crystal clear water, abundant coral and fish, and I was very satisfied to see sea turtles as well. The guide was kind and explained the points with currents in advance, which made me feel very secure. During the SUP tour, they guided us to points that were less affected by wind and waves, and although it was my first time on a SUP, I managed to enjoy it without falling off until the end. I booked three tours with this tour company, and I was grateful for their flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances.
1. Jomon Sugi
2. Shiratani Unsuikyo (Taiko Rock)
3. One-day bus tour
Initially, I had planned to do Shiratani on the last day, but since the weather looked like it was going to turn bad, they changed the schedule with the bus tour! Additionally, if I rented either of the first two, I could use it on both days without any extra charge.
The service was good even at a low price. If you're booking more than two tours, I think it's better to go with the same tour company.
The trekking tour depends on the guide.
⚫️ Jomon Sugi
The guide was very kind and considerate of everyone's pace! They also took time at the photo spots, which made for wonderful memories!!
⚫️ Shiratani Unsuikyo
The guide's service was the worst. While it was nice that they provided warm miso soup for lunch and shared a lot of knowledge, they were impatient and started guiding before everyone arrived, and they didn't allow time for customers to take photos. They took pictures with their own smartphone. At first, I appreciated it, but... the device was old, the images were grainy, and they only took one picture without checking the content! When I asked for another shot, they made a displeased face. Moreover, some pictures had me with my eyes closed, and honestly, it felt like the guide was just satisfying their own needs for photos.
This is not a place you can visit many times in your life. While it may be routine for the guide, participants have trained for months and invested both time and money to join. It's disappointing that the memory photos turned out poorly.
However, I was really glad that Jomon Sugi was not guided by this terrible guide.
こちらのツアー会社で3個のツアーを申し込みましたが、状況変化にも臨機応変に対応頂き、ありがたかったです。

当初、白谷を最終日にしていましたが、天気が悪くなりそうでしたので、バスツアーと日程を変えてくれました！またレンタルも①②どちらかのレンタルすれば両日追加料金なしで使用させてくれました。
低価格でもサービスは良かったです。
もし2個以上のツアーを申込むなら同じツアー会社のが良いと思います。
トレッキングツアーは、ガイドさんによると思います。
⚫️縄文杉
とても親切でみんなのペースを考えながら案内してくれました！また撮影ポイントでは時間を取ってくれてとても良い思い出になりました！！
⚫️白谷雲水峡
ガイドさんの対応が最悪でした。
ランチに暖かい味噌汁を提供してくれたり、知識が豊富で色んな案内をしてくれるのは良いのですが、せっかちな方で全員が到着する前に案内をはじめたり、お客さんの撮影時間を取ってくれなかったり。ご自身のスマホで撮影します。最初はありがたいと思いましたが…機種が古く画像が粗い＆1枚づつしか撮影せず中身も確認しない！もう1枚撮影して欲しいとお願いしたら嫌な顔をされました。しかも、目を閉じているものもあり、正直ガイドさんの自己満足な撮影です。
一生に何度も行ける場所ではありません。ガイドさんにとっては日常かもしれませんが、参加者は何ヶ月も前からトレッキングのトレーニングをして、お金も時間もかけて参加しています。思い出写真は残念でなりません。
ただ、縄文杉がこの最悪なガイドさんじゃなくて本当に良かったと思いました。
