I participated in a grand loop tour that covered all five lakes of Shiretoko. The guide provided enjoyable explanations about the forest, flora and fauna, and Shiretoko itself. Everything was new to me, and I found it very interesting, allowing me to explore the area thoroughly.

知床五湖を全て回る大ループツアーに参加しました。ガイドさんが森の事、動植物の事、知床の事等色々と楽しく説明して下さり、どれも初めて見ること聞くことばかりで、とても興味深く、散策する事が出来ました。

Cape Hedo, the northernmost point of Okinawa, felt grand in a different way when considering the strong beach image typically associated with Okinawa. The visit to the factory and store for Shikuwasa, which we stopped by for souvenirs, was interesting in another sense, and I think it was a nice choice for this tour.

沖縄最北端の辺戸岬はビーチのイメージが強い沖縄を考えるとある意味違った壮大さを感じました。お土産で立ち寄ったシークワーサー工場兼店舗はまた違った意味で面白くこのツアーのナイスチョイスだったと思います。

First of all, I would like to thank all the instructors for this experience. They provided guidance in a very polite and approachable manner, creating a friendly atmosphere throughout. Although we had a guided tour in the rain, I felt that they offered a unique enjoyment and appreciation of nature that can only be found here. Approaching 50 years old, I was able to encounter one of my dreams since elementary school: the Yaeyama mangrove butterfly in Iriomote Island! I was truly very satisfied.

On the day of our trip, we set off in the morning under cloudy skies, but after that, we hardly encountered any rain. The weather was pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold, with occasional gentle sunlight filtering through the trees. Mr. Manabe's guiding was meticulous and wonderful, clearly reflecting his deep love for this island, its nature, and its plants, as well as the pride he has taken in his work over the years. It was an experience that made me want to come back again.

当日は雨模様の中を朝に出発し、その後は殆ど雨に降られず、暑くもなく寒くもなく、薄い木漏れ日が時折さす心地の良い天候でした。マナベさんのガイドは、この島と自然と植物をこよなく愛し、誇りを持って長年やって来られた事がよくわかる、丁寧で素晴らしいものでした。また、来たいなと思わせてくれる体験になりました。

I'm not very good at swimming, but I felt safe and enjoyed myself because the guide closely monitored our group, and wearing a wetsuit helped me float well. We went snorkeling at three different locations, and I could choose from three types of lunch boxes. They also provided towels, making it really easy to have fun. They took a lot of photos, which became great memories. I highly recommend this tour.

泳ぐのが得意じゃないのですが、グループでガイドの方が良く監視してくれるのと、ウエットスーツ着用で身体が良く浮くの安心して楽しめました。3つの場所でシュノーケリングをして、お弁当も3種類から選べるし、タオルも貸してくださったので、本当に気軽に楽しめました。写真も沢山撮ってくれて、良い思い出になりました。このツアーはおすすめです。

The captain was very kind to welcome us aboard. As an avid sailor I love being on boats. His boat and docking area was fair and his condition of his boat safe but old. He provided life jackets and the ride started smoothly. For some reason he enjoyed doing circles and fast turns, which was problematic for our friend who is prone to seasickness. The skipper was kind enough to stop these maneuvers once we asked.
The shoreline is great, the skipper's explanations wonderful, but the biggest let down is that you cannot enter the cave. This is still clearly shown in the advertised pictures and never communicated to us until we were in board. The rules changed a while back but the skipper hasn’t changed his ads or his communication, which is a bit shady.
Regardless the ocean is wonderful and the scenery amazing— just temper your expectations of the docking and boat age.

The tour was filled with anxiety from start to finish. After being picked up at the hotel, we signed in at the office counter. We were instructed to wait nearby, but no one provided any guidance. Around us, foreign guests were happily choosing wetsuits with the staff, while we felt completely left out. A staff member happened to notice us and helped us select and change into our wetsuits. However, there was still no explanation about what to expect next, how long we would wait, or what we should do. Even when we wanted to ask questions, the staff seemed to be absent, making it difficult to get information. Suddenly, we were told by another staff member to get on the bus outside, so we just went along with it. Surrounded by foreign guests, we felt quite anxious.

Once on board, they did provide a brief explanation of how to snorkel. However, when it came time to enter the water, there was no instruction on how to get in or how to breathe; we were just expected to jump in. I had to figure out how to breathe through my mouth on my own. They took a couple of photos when we first entered the water, but after that, they focused solely on taking pictures of the fish, and we didn’t get many photos of ourselves. The underwater scenery was truly beautiful, and we even encountered a sea turtle. I think it’s worth trying at least once.

The environment was quite challenging for snorkeling beginners, and it seems better suited for those who are experienced or who don’t mind the staff's casual attitude. I wouldn’t recommend this tour for those looking for a more attentive and guided experience.

ずっと不安なまま進むツアーだった。
ホテルでピックアップしていただいた後、事務所のカウンターでサインをして受付。近くで待つよう指示されたが、誰も何も案内してくれない。周りでは外国の方々が外国のスタッフさんと和気藹々とウェットスーツを選んでおり、完全に置いて行かれている感。偶々通りかかったスタッフさんが私達の存在に気づき、何とかウェットスーツ選びと着替えを行った。その後も何も説明がなく、どこでどれくらい待つのか次に何をすれば良いのか何もわからない。聞きたくてもスタッフさんが何故かその辺に留まっておらず、聞けない。するとまた突然スタッフさんに外にあるバスに乗るよう言われ、とりあえず乗る。周りは外国の方だらけでとにかく不安。
乗船後は一応シュノーケリングのやり方は一通り説明してくれる。しかし実際に海に入る時には、入水方法や呼吸の仕方等何もレクチャーしてくれず、とりあえず海に入ってみる方式。何とか口呼吸の方法を自力でやってコツを掴むしかなった。写真は入水した時にとりあえず1、2枚程度撮ってくれたが、その後はずっと魚を撮っているだけで、私達の写真は特に撮ってはくれなかった。海の中は本当に綺麗で、ウミガメにも会えた。一度やってみる価値はあると思う。
終始シュノーケリング初心者には厳しい環境で、経験者、スタッフさんの陽気さや適当さが気にならない人向きだと思う。
丁寧に案内してくれるツアーを求めている人には、おすすめできない。

I participated in the Jomon Sugi tour.

I thought the guide was physically fit and managed the itinerary well. However, I felt there could be more creativity in supporting beginners or participants who may have concerns about their physical fitness.

For example, when a participant's shoelaces came undone, there was a reminder to be careful as they might come undone again, but it would have been reassuring for beginners if there had been a check on how to tie them or some simple advice.

Additionally, when the same participant asked, "Should I wear long sleeves?" or "Should I wear rain gear?", the responses were mainly "Please make your own judgment." While I believe the final decision should be made by the participants themselves, beginners often ask questions seeking guidance, so additional comments like "It might get colder ahead" or "This is what I think" would have been more helpful.

Yakushima and the Jomon Sugi route are courses that many first-time participants join. There is a significant gap in knowledge and experience between seasoned guides and beginners. Bridging that gap is also one of the important roles of a guide.

To prevent accidents and troubles, I feel that enhancing the information provided and the guidance offered, while respecting self-judgment, would make the tour more reassuring for beginners.

縄文杉ツアーに参加しました。

ガイドの方は体力があり、行程管理もしっかりされていたと思います。一方で、初心者や体力に不安のある参加者へのサポートについては、もう少し工夫の余地があるように感じました。

例えば、途中で靴紐がほどけた参加者がいた際、「またほどけるかもしれないので注意してください」という声かけはありましたが、結び方の確認や簡単なアドバイスがあると、初心者にはより安心感があったと思います。

また、同じ参加者から「長袖を着た方がよいですか」「レインウェアは着た方がよいですか」といった質問が出た際にも、「ご自身で判断してください」という回答が中心でした。最終判断は参加者自身が行うべきだと思いますが、初心者は判断材料を求めて質問している場合も多いため、「この先は気温が下がる可能性があります」「私はこう考えます」といった補足があると、より参考になったのではないかと思います。

屋久島や縄文杉ルートは、初めて参加する方も多いコースです。経験豊富なガイドと初心者との間には大きな知識や経験の差があります。その差を埋めることもガイドの重要な役割の一つではないでしょうか。

事故やトラブルを防ぐためにも、自己判断を尊重しながら、初心者が適切な判断を行えるような情報提供や声かけがさらに充実すると、より安心して参加できるツアーになると感じました。

The concept of walking on the natural land of Shiretoko with a guide (while ensuring safety and following the rules) is wonderful. (The participation was a short loop.) However, I felt disappointed by the repetition of the same content in the guide's explanations and the focus on time. I was hoping for a variety of interesting facts as much as possible...

知床の自然の大地をガイドさんと共（安全とルールを守りながら）に自身の足で歩くコンセプトは素晴らしい。（参加は小ループでした。）ただ、ガイドさんの説明内容において同じ内容の繰り返しや、時間ばかり気にしている様子は、残念に感じた。できれば、可能な限り様々なうんちくを期待していたので･･･。

Unfortunately, the waves were too high, so we couldn't go to the Pumpkin Cave, but we still had a great time snorkeling! The ocean was so beautiful, and I was amazed to see clownfish and many other fish! Our guide was kind and fun, making it a really wonderful memory! Next time, I want to take revenge on the Pumpkin Cave!

残念ながら波が高くてパンプキン鍾乳洞には行けませんでしたが、シュノーケリングだけでも十分楽しめました！海がとてもきれいで、カクレクマノミやたくさんの魚が見られて感動しました！ガイドさんも親切で楽しい方だったので、すごくいい思い出です！次回はパンプキン鍾乳洞リベンジしたいです！

There was fog, but the sea was clear and not murky 🥰 The instructors were kind and taught us gently, so I felt at ease 👍 I will definitely ask for your services again when I go to Okinawa 🤲

I heard that there are times when you can't see the coconut crabs, but I was able to find more than 10 of them while climbing trees (it's a shame I couldn't take proper photos). The sky was clear, and I was able to see the beautiful starry sky!

ヤシガニが見れない時もあるとのことでしたが、車のハンドル級（写真ちゃんと取れず残念）木登り中など10匹以上発見できました。
空も晴れており星空も綺麗に見ることが出来ました！

I tried stand-up paddleboarding for the first time! I was worried about whether I could even get on, but they kindly taught me how to operate the paddleboard and how to ride it. I was able to get the hang of it in just one hour! (I did fall into the sea twice, though... haha) I would love to use their services again when I visit Miyako Island!

初めてのサップをしました！
そもそも乗れるかから心配でしたが、最初に丁寧にサップの操作方法や乗り方を教えていただき、1時間で直ぐに上手に乗ることができました！（2回海水へ転落しましたが、、笑）
また宮古島に訪問した際もお世話になりたいと思います！！

I experienced this on June 6, 2026.

It was my first time in Miyako Island, and I thought the tour would be canceled due to the forecast of heavy rain and strong winds. While the pumpkin cave tour was indeed canceled, I was informed that the sea turtle snorkeling would still take place.

When I arrived, it was pouring rain, and I was really worried about whether we could actually go snorkeling. However, the local guide said that rainy days are actually better for the tour, so I decided to participate.

To be honest, I was unsure if it would be okay, but the underwater scenery was incredibly beautiful, and I was able to see many sea turtles and colorful tropical fish very clearly. The local guide's explanations were thorough and very helpful! It wasn't hot at all, and in fact, there was no glare from the sunlight on the water's surface, which made it even better!

初めての宮古島で、
その日は大雨、強風予報でツアーは中止になると思っていましだが、パンプキン鍾乳洞は中止になりましたがウミガメシュノーケリングはできるとのこと。
現地では大雨になり本当にできるのかと不安になりましたが現地ガイドさん曰く雨の日の方がいいとのこでツアーに参加。
正直大丈夫かと思っていましたが海の中はとても綺麗でたくさんのウミガメや熱帯魚もとても綺麗に見えました。
現地ガイドさんの説明も丁寧でとても良かった！
暑くもなく逆に海面の日光の照り返し等がなくとても良かったです！

I participated with a friend. It was my first time snorkeling, but the cheerful guide provided thorough explanations, allowing us to join in a fun and safe way. We were also able to swim close to sea turtles, which was a valuable experience. We got to take many wonderful photos and videos, and I'm really glad I participated!

友人と2人で参加。シュノーケルは、初めてでしたが、明るいガイドさんが、しっかりと説明してくださり、楽しく安心して参加できました(^^)
また、ウミガメとも近距離で一緒に泳ぐことができ、貴重な体験でした✨

I participated in mid-May. It was warm enough to be comfortable in short sleeves, and I was able to leisurely enjoy the beautiful emerald-colored Lake Kussharo in very pleasant weather!

５月中旬に参加しました。半袖でも十分な暑さでしたが、とても爽やかな天候の中、美しいエメラルド色の屈斜路湖をゆったりと楽しむことができました！

The day before, we received information about the meeting place and time, and gathered on-site. We were able to see a sea turtle just two minutes after entering the water! They adjusted the course and time according to our fitness levels, so we had a great time snorkeling!

前日に集合場所や時間など送ってもらい現地集合しました。
海に入って2分ほどですぐウミガメに会うことができました！
体力に合わせてコースや時間を決めてくれるので楽しくシュノーケリングできました！

In the water, the staff member asked us to wait a moment and showed us a pufferfish, saying it was not a good swimmer. We were completely captivated by its incredibly adorable appearance. Including that lucky encounter, there were many colorful fish, making it a wonderful memory. I was moved to see the Blue Cave with my own eyes, which I had only seen in pictures.

From the explanation of the equipment to being underwater and until the end, everything was explained thoroughly and enjoyably, so I had no worries at all. They took care of all the tedious preparations and clean-up, making it a luxurious experience that was easy to enjoy. Even when I was about to be swept away by the current during the underwater photography, the staff member quickly reached out to support me, allowing me to enjoy myself without any concerns. It was great that they provided skincare products like lotion and a hairdryer. I thought it would have been even better if the shower had warm water.

Thank you for taking so many wonderful photos and videos! I would love to experience this again!

と言って私たちに見せてくれました。
そのめちゃめちゃ愛くるしい姿に魅了されまくりでした。たまたま出会えたその子も含め、たくさんの色とりどりの魚がいて最高の思い出になりました。
写真で見ていた青の洞窟をこの目で見ることができ感動しました。

機材の説明から水中、終わりまで、丁寧に楽しく説明していただけたので不安は一切ありませんでした。
準備や片付けなど面倒なことは全てやっていただけて、手軽に楽しめる贅沢な経験でした。
水中写真撮影のとき水の流れに逆らえず流れそうになっても、すぐお兄さんが手を伸ばして支えてくれるので安心して楽しむことができました。
化粧水や乳液、ドライヤーも完備されてて、とても良かったです。
シャワーは温かいお湯が出たらさらに良かったなと思いました。

I'm glad I was able to visit Shiretoko Goko, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The explanations from the guide made the experience even more enjoyable.

知床五湖という世界遺産に登録されている場所に行けてよかったです。そしてガイドさんによる説明がありより一層楽しむことができました。

I have participated in various sea turtle tours, but this was the first time I was able to see so many sea turtles and clownfish up close, and it was truly moving!

I tend to get seasick easily, and I accidentally left my motion sickness medication at the hotel, but our guide Mana was very considerate of my condition and taught me how to cope when I felt nauseous, so I was able to enjoy the tour until the end.

There was no shower available, but they had plenty of warm water prepared, so I was able to wash off completely.

After the tour, I had no plans, but when Mana heard that, she recommended some great spots, so I was able to enjoy the rest of the day as well!

The duo of Taro and Mana really livened things up, and they took lots of photos and videos, making it a memorable and fun tour! Thank you very much.

今まで色んなウミガメに逢えるツアーに参加しましたが、こんなに間近で沢山のウミガメやニモが見れたのは初めてで感動しました！

波酔いしやすいタイプのに、酔い止め薬をホテルに忘れて来てしまいましたが、ガイドのマナちゃんが体調を気遣ってくれて、酔った時の対処法を教えてくれたので、最後まで楽しめました

シャワーはなかったですが、暖かいお水をたくさん用意してくれてたので、全身洗えました

ツアー後も、なにも予定がなかったですが、それを聞いたマナちゃんがオススメスポットを教えてくれたのでツアー後も1日楽しめました！

We are a senior couple, 70 and 62 years old. Following our trekking at Jomon Sugi the day before, we requested a private guide for the Shiratani Unsuikyo trekking tour as well. We had the same guide as the previous day. By the second day, we were familiar with each other, which allowed us to feel comfortable and trust him completely. The guide was considerate of our fatigue from the previous day and helped us enjoy the trek at a comfortable pace. I truly felt that having a private guide was the right choice. We were blessed with good weather and were able to fully enjoy the shimmering moss forest. The breathtaking view from Taiko Rock was moving! I couldn't help but exclaim. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

前日の縄文杉トレッキングに続き、白谷雲水峡トレッキングツアーでも貸し切りガイドをお願いしました。
前日と同じガイドさんに付いていただきました。
２日目とあって気心も知れており、安心してお任せすることができました。
ガイドさんは前日の疲れも気にかけてくださり、無理のないペースで心地よくトレッキングを楽しむことができました。
貸し切りにして本当によかったと思いました。
天候にも恵まれ、光り輝く苔の森を堪能することができました。
太鼓岩からの絶景には感動！思わず声が出ました。

Since we were an elderly couple aged 70 and 62, we requested a private guide so we could trek at our own pace. It turned out to be a great decision. We were blessed with good weather, and our guide was kind and attentive, providing clear explanations about the highlights along the way, including plants, rocks, and the sounds of birds. Meeting the Jomon Sugi was truly moving! We completed the entire trek safely and smoothly, making it an enjoyable and wonderful experience. Thank you very much.

７０歳と６２歳の高齢夫婦だったため、安心して自分たちのペースでトレッキングできるよう貸し切りガイドをお願いしました。
結果は大正解でした。
天候にも恵まれた上、ガイドさんは親切丁寧で、ペース配分はもちろん道中各所での見どころや草花、岩石、鳥の声に至るまでわかりやすく説明してくださいました。
縄文杉に出会えたときは感動でした！

In my 60s, I was worried about my physical stamina, but the guide was always attentive and walked at my pace. During the canoeing and trekking, they provided information about various plants and animals. I was particularly impressed by the sagari flower, which blooms at night and wilts by morning, floating by the waterside.

The waterfall was beautiful, and the water in the basin felt great. They allowed plenty of time for us to enjoy it, and the homemade bento we had there was exceptional.

They also took more photos than I had imagined. Families with children or those hesitant about strenuous trekking should definitely choose this option.

60代、体力にも自信がなく心配でしたが、ガイドさんが常に気にしてくれて、私のペースに合わせて歩いてくれました。カヌー、トレッキングの最中にも色々な動植物の案内をしてくれました。中でも夜咲いて朝までに散るさがり花が水辺に浮いてて感激。
滝は美しい、滝壺の水は気持ち良い、時間もたっぷり取ってくれて、そこで食べる手作り感満載のお弁当は格別でした。
写真も想像以上にたくさん撮ってくれていました。
子どもさん連れのご家族や、ハードなトレッキングに躊躇している方は、ぜひこのメニューを選んでください。

The guide was very friendly to the children, and we were able to enjoy ourselves with peace of mind! Meeting the sea turtles and Nemo was the best!

At first, I was a bit worried because the guide was somewhat older, but once the tour started, he turned out to be the best guide. He had a wide range of knowledge about Yakushima's history, nature, and recent events, along with a great sense of humor, making the tour very fulfilling. Additionally, when other tour participants were damaging nature to take photos, he didn't hesitate to firmly caution them, showing how much he truly cares about Yakushima's natural environment.

少々お年を召したガイドさんだったので最初は少し不安に思ったが、ツアーが始まるとその方は最高のガイドさんだった。
屋久島に歴史のこと、自然のこと、最近のことまで幅広い知識とユーモアがあり、ツアーとても充実したものだった。また、他のツアー客が写真を撮るために自然を壊す行為をしてしまっている時には躊躇せずにしっかりと注意をし、屋久島の自然をとても大切にしているのが伝わってきた。

In the morning, the snow-capped mountains were obscured by clouds, but when we arrived at Amida-ga-hara, signs of clear weather appeared, and the bright blue sky revealed a stunning range of white and green mountains, which was truly moving. Along the way, Mr. Otsuka, a specialist in physical sciences, provided an excellent explanation of the geography and history of Tateyama.

午前中は雲で雪山は見えず、阿弥陀が原についたら晴天の兆しがみえ、真っ青な空をパックに白と緑の山並みが出現し感動しました。
道中、大塚さんの理学の専門家の説明で、立山の地理、歴史が良くわかりました。

On the day of the trip, the sea was a bit rough and the wind was strong, so the visibility was just okay, but they thoroughly searched for the sea turtle spot, and we were able to see them beautifully! It was moving.

当日は海が少し荒れて風が強かったので、透明度はそこそこでしたがウミガメスポットを念入りに探していただき、見事見れました！感動です

I participated with my 7-year-old and 10-year-old daughters as a family. We were blessed with great weather, making it a comfortable day for hiking and climbing. Shiratani Unsuikyo is famous for being the forest from "Princess Mononoke," but we enjoyed wonderful views along the mountain paths as well. We fully enjoyed the great nature that Yakushima has to offer. The half-day tour is recommended for those who may not have much physical strength or for families with children. Next time, when the kids are older, I would like to challenge ourselves to reach Taiko Rock.

7歳と10歳の娘達と家族で参加しました。天気に恵まれ、快適なハイキング・山登り日和でした。白谷雲水峡はもののけ姫の森で有名ですが、途中の山道でも素晴らしい景色が堪能できました。屋久島らしい大自然を満喫しました。半日ツアーは体力に自信のない人や子連れの方にもオススメです。
次回は子供達が大きくなったら太鼓岩までチャレンジしたいと思います。

I had a great time participating in a two-day tour while being explained by the guide. Although I wasn't very confident in my physical stamina, the guide considered the pacing and made sure to chat with us so we wouldn't get too tired. I felt that the enjoyment of the tour really depends on the guide! I was very satisfied with the fun guides on both days.

ガイドさんに説明していただきながら楽しく2日間ツアーに参加できました。体力に自信がない中でしたが、ペース配分を考えてくださり、おしゃべりしながら疲れさせないようにと色々とご配慮いただけました。ガイドさんによっても結構楽しみ方が変わると思いました！2日間ともに楽しいガイドさんで大変満足できました。

I was looking forward to visiting the northern region since I had never been there before. It was mentioned that there would be an accompanying tour conductor instead of a guide. Even though it was a tour conductor, I felt that the explanations were a bit lacking. There was an announcement about the departure time before getting off the bus, but the guidance on where to go and what to do was not very clear. In some places, there were explanations provided. It seemed that the microphone wasn't working well, so it appeared that only the people in the front seats were getting the explanations...

北部は行ったことがなかったので楽しみにしていました。
ガイドさんではなく添乗員さんの同行とのこと。
添乗員さんとはいえ説明が少し足りないと思いました。
バスを降りる前に出発時間のアナウンスはあるのですが、どこで何をするのか分かりやすい案内ではなかった。
場所によっては説明してくれる所もあった。
マイクの声がとおらなくて前方の席の人には説明してたようですが…
