This was my first time in Ishigaki Island! Due to the flight schedule, I could only participate at night.

The starry sky was incredibly beautiful, and I was lucky enough to see shooting stars!!

I was also moved to see half of the coconut crab!

I was looking forward to the stargazing tour, but unfortunately, the weather was bad. Ishigaki was no good, and Iriomote Island was also no good. We weren't blessed with good weather, so once again, the stargazing was a miss.
As for the alternative jungle tour, it was quite good. I had seen the stationary coconut crabs during the day, but seeing the active ones at night was shocking. We also encountered a habu snake, which made for quite an adventure.
I also learned for the first time that firefly larvae glow.
Overall, I think it was good. I want to repeat it because I want to see the stars.

I participated alone. I came to Ishigaki for diving, but I thought I would try something different and joined this activity. In the end, I really felt that it was a good decision to participate. It was cloudy, so I couldn't see the starry sky, but I was able to see the sparkling night view of Ishigaki city and learn about various marine life! There were so many things I saw for the first time. There were fireflies, and I was surprised because it was my first time seeing such fireflies; it completely changed my previous image... The frogs were cute too!

結果、ほんとに参加して良かったと思いました。

I participated because I felt it would be a waste to end my solo trip by just going out for drinks at night. I thought it might be geared towards children, but I was able to hear various stories about Ishigaki and see some rare creatures. It was a pity that we couldn't see the stars due to the weather, but thanks to the bright and enthusiastic staff, it became a wonderful memory of my trip.

I have visited Ishigaki Island before, but this was my first time participating in the night safari. Unfortunately, it was drizzling, so we couldn't enjoy stargazing, but instead, we were taken to the beautiful night view at Banna Park! During the night safari, I was able to see many rare creatures unique to the Yaeyama Islands, such as coconut crabs, black-breasted leaf turtles, and Ryukyu scops owls. I was surprised to encounter so many of them. The guide was also cheerful and a great storyteller, making it a fun tour.

あいにく小雨が降っており、星空鑑賞はできませんでしたが、そのかわりバンナ公園の素敵な夜景に連れていっていただきました！

We were picked up at the hotel and taken to a stargazing spot. We went to a place that is usually not included in tours! There were absolutely no people around, and we were able to fully enjoy the stars filling the sky! After that, we went to the jungle and encountered several coconut crabs and a habu snake. We also had time to stargaze on the beach, enjoying the perfect situation while listening to the sound of the ocean. Our guide was very friendly, making the tour even more enjoyable.

I definitely wanted to see the starry sky when I came to Ishigaki Island, so I booked this tour. They picked me up from the hotel and we headed to the stargazing spot first. The guide, who was very knowledgeable about Ishigaki Island, took us to two locations. At first, there were a few clouds, but it gradually cleared up, and we could see a stunning starry sky and the Milky Way perfectly. The explanations about the constellations were also very enjoyable. After fully enjoying the starry sky by lying on our backs and taking photos, we headed into the jungle.

We were able to see rare turtles, precious hermit crabs, and really large bats, and the guide introduced us to many animals.

During the drive back, I was able to hear a lot about recommended places and Okinawa, making it a very satisfying tour.

It wasn't as immersive in nature as I expected from a night safari, but (well, the whole of Ishigaki is quite natural) I enjoyed the introduction of palm crabs, spiders, hermit crabs, and distinctive plants. The Ryukyu scops owl on the power lines was also a highlight.

As we were watching, the sky cleared up more and more, and the starry sky was incredibly clear, which was moving. The guides' love for Ishigaki and nature shone through, and even when things didn't go as planned, they surely found a way to keep the atmosphere lively.

ナイトサファリというほど大自然の中に突っ込むわけではなかったのが少し肩透かしだったけど、(まあ、石垣全体が自然多めなんだけど) ヤシガニ、クモ、オカヤドカリや特徴的な植物紹介も有り楽しめた。電線のリュウキュウコノハズクも。
鑑賞している間にどんどん晴れて来て星空がめちゃクリアだったのが感動的だった。ガイドさん達は石垣愛、自然愛がにじみ出ており、不発に終わった時も何とか盛り上げてくれるに違いない。

It was usually around 40 people, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were only 6 participants.

Since there were fewer people, we were able to use the space on the boat somewhat freely, ensuring sufficient social distancing, and thorough disinfection measures were in place.

All participants gathered early, which allowed for an earlier departure. With extra time, we were able to see the evening factory scenery, and in the end, we got close to the area near the Ferris wheel in Minato Mirai.

The night view of the factories was beautiful, and the breeze on the boat was pleasant, making for a very enjoyable time.

通常40人程度の事ですが、コロナ禍ということもあり6名の参加でした。

人数が少なかった為、船内をある程度自由に使うことができ、ソーシャルディスタンスも十分確保できており、消毒なども徹底されていました。

参加者全員が早めに集合した事もあり少し早めの出航、時間に余裕があった為、夕方の工場も見ることができ、最後はみなとみらいの観覧車付近まで、寄っていただけました。

工場夜景は美しく、船上でうける風も気持ちがいいもので大変楽しい時間を過ごさせて頂きました。

The tour began at the park entrance around sunset. We were first provided with insect repellent spray and flashlights, and since we wouldn't be entering any dangerous areas, it was fine to wear sandals, making it easy to participate in the tour without carrying anything.

Typically, this tour is very popular, with dozens of groups participating each day, but due to recent circumstances, there were only a few of us today. However, we didn't have to worry about crowding, and we were able to listen to the guide's stories at a leisurely pace, which made for a very valuable experience.

The content of the tour likely varies depending on the weather and season, but we observed various creatures while walking through the lush forest park, and then we went to an open area to stargaze. Time flew by, and even as two adults, we had plenty of fun.

On the day we participated, we were fortunate enough to see coconut crabs more than ten times after the rain. This was a tour I would love to join again when I visit Miyako Island next time. It was an experience that allowed me to take home wonderful memories, and I would recommend the night tour to family and friends, not just spending time at the beach.

日が沈んだ頃に公園入口に集合でツアーが始まりました。初めに虫除けスプレーと懐中電灯を貸して頂き、危険な場所には入らないので、サンダルでも大丈夫とのことで、手ぶらでも気軽にツアー参加できました。
例年は大変人気のツアーで一日に何十組も参加されるとのことですが、昨今の状況もあり本日は少数でのツアーとなりましたが、３密になることもなく、ガイドさんのお話もゆっくり聞けて、とても貴重な体験ができたと感じました。
ツアーの内容は自然相手のため、天候や季節によって変わると思いますが、生き物を観察しながら自然豊富な森の中の公園を抜け、その先の開けた場所で星空を観察し、あっという間に時間が過ぎ、大人２人でも十分に楽しめました。
特に参加した日は、雨上がりでヤシガニを１０回以上見ることができる幸運にも恵まれました。
次回宮古島を訪れた際にも、もう一度参加したいと思えるツアーでした。思い出話をお土産にできる体験ができ、ビーチで過ごすだけでなく、ナイトツアーも家族や友人にも勧めたいと思います。

I participated with my middle school and high school children. I was worried because a typhoon was coming, but instead of canceling, we postponed and took on the challenge! I'm really glad we didn't give up and participated. The guide was truly entertaining! I couldn't stop feeling excited! We found various creatures one after another! My daughter and son, who were initially reluctant due to their rebellious phase, were surprisingly thrilled! We got to see a starry sky with the Milky Way, and my troubled heart cleared up; it was truly a wonderful night. It might have been the most fun I've had on Ishigaki Island. I apologize for the trouble when my son rushed to the restroom due to a stomachache, but everyone was so warm-hearted, and I can't express how grateful I am for that night. I want to go again!

I was moved to encounter unique creatures like coconut crabs and habu snakes that can only be found on Iriomote Island. I was able to see several coconut crabs, and it felt like I wanted to see more. However, since they are not often seen on Ishigaki Island, I think it’s worth staying on Iriomote Island and participating in a night tour.

Kuri-chan, our guide, took us to some hidden spots, and we quickly saw a lot of coconut crabs. We were also able to find fireflies and snakes. I came to Ishigaki Island dreaming of a starry sky, but unfortunately, due to the mischief of the trade winds, my dream did not come true.

However, thanks to the thoughtful arrangements by the staff, I got to see the stars on the ground (the night view). ✨✨

By chance, a coconut crab appeared, and I took pictures with the beautiful pink sagaribana, being careful not to step on the hermit crabs scurrying about... I enjoyed the nighttime adventure on the island.

What impressed me the most was that after the tour, the staff thoroughly assisted me with planning the next day's tour, allowing me to have a wonderful experience! ❗

We participated with two children and four people in total. The night safari was an exciting adventure. The guides were very kind and supportive to the children, helping us find many creatures, and we encountered more animals than we expected. They provided detailed explanations about the creatures, Ishigaki Island, and the starry sky. It was nice to have a more intimate and private feel compared to larger tours. The starry sky and shooting stars were a lucky treat, and they also taught us about many constellations. We were even shown a beautiful night view, making it a memorable tour. The guide was very kind, and perhaps due to luck, we encountered a total of four coconut crabs, a habu snake, and various insects and frogs whose names I forgot. Once we got to the beach, it was truly a "starry sky"; we could even see which direction the Milky Way was in, and the Big Dipper was clearly visible. Everything was condensed into a short amount of time, so I highly recommend it for a short stay.

I participated in the night safari and stargazing. I honestly didn't have high expectations for the night safari, but thanks to our guide, Christian, who is a great person, we were able to see 5 or 6 coconut crabs! I can't believe we actually got to see them!

As for the stargazing, there were so many stars that I didn't even know where to look; it felt like I was being drawn in.

If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be that I wished there were blankets to lie on the sand while stargazing (even though it’s a beach, lying directly on the sand at night is a bit much...). I would also appreciate learning more about the constellations.

That said, I really enjoyed myself and would definitely like to participate again next time.

They provided thorough explanations regarding safety, and as long as you listen carefully to the guide, you can enjoy it without any issues.

I couldn't see many stars due to the bad weather, but I was able to see the coconut crab (endangered species) and the purple land hermit crab (natural monument). It was fun.
However, I was dissatisfied with the guide's level of knowledge. I didn't receive satisfactory answers to most of my questions. I felt that the staff clearly lacked knowledge about the creatures we could observe during the course.

At first, I was a bit anxious about participating alone, but the staff really enhanced the tour. I was able to see coconut crabs, flying foxes, hermit crabs, rhinoceros beetles, and a beautiful starry sky, making it a very enjoyable tour.

I thought it might have been better to join a tour during a different season. My parents were looking forward to the constellations, so even though we changed the date on short notice due to the weather, they responded quickly, and we were able to see a beautiful starry sky despite a few clouds.
