Unfortunately, we couldn't go trekking due to the bad weather, but instead, we were guided to the accessible areas of Shiratani Unsuikyo. It was about an hour of walking in the rain, but I was still able to experience Yakushima's nature with all my senses. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Yakushima's ecosystem and history, and I appreciated all the thoughtful gestures. I hope to come back someday and take on the trekking challenge with this tour again.

あいにくの荒天でトレッキングできなかったものの、代わりに白谷雲水峡の行けるところまで案内いただきました。
雨の中のおおよそ小一時間程度の散策でしたが、それでも屋久島の自然を五感で退官することができました。
屋久島の生態系や歴史に関する知識が大変豊富なガイドさんで、またいろいろとお気遣いいただき嬉しかったです。
またいつかこのツアーでトレッキングにリベンジしたいなと思います。

You receive a booklet of about seven tickets, and you hand them to the staff waiting at each point.

The staff on the boat to Iriomote Island, the bus driver, and the staff for the water buffalo cart were all very entertaining, making the tour even more enjoyable. It was great to smoothly and efficiently visit three islands in one day.

Since I couldn't choose the rental bicycle option with kids, I opted for the free walk. When we arrived at Yufu Island, there were about three rental bicycle wagons waiting, but only one company had children's bicycles available, so we managed to rent one. I think walking would be fine if it weren't hot, but in the summer, renting a bicycle seems like a better option.

7枚つづりくらいのチケットを渡されて、各ポイントで待っているスタッフさんにチケットを渡していくシステムです。

西表島の船のスタッフさん、バスの運転手さん、水牛車のスタッフさん、皆さんとても話が面白く、ツアーがさらに楽しいものになりました。3つの島を1日でスムーズに効率よく回ることができてとても良かったです。

子供がいるとレンタサイクル付きが選べなかったので、フリーウォークにしました。由布島に着くと3社くらいレンタサイクルのワゴンが待っていましたが、子供用自転車は1社だけ空きありでなんとか借りられました。暑くなければ歩いてもいいと思いますが、夏はレンタサイクルがいいかと思います。

I participated in a mangrove tour in the morning by canoe. Since the mangroves were on land during low tide, the afternoon when the mangrove forest is submerged in water might be better. The tour was enjoyable as they provided detailed information about the mangroves and the creatures living there! They also offer pick-up and drop-off at the port, making it a great option for a day trip from Ishigaki Island. Thank you, guide Ren-chan!

干潮でマングローブが陸地にあったので、マングローブ林が水に浸ってる午後がより良いかも。
マングローブや生息している生き物のお話しも詳しくしてくださり楽しいツアーでした！

I participated with my second-grade daughter and my family of three. We had a great time walking while listening to the extensive knowledge and explanations from our experienced guide, Mr. Chuma. I was worried that my daughter might give up halfway, but she followed Mr. Chuma and completed her first trekking adventure very bravely. The world of moss that spread out before us was truly like something out of a Studio Ghibli film, providing a rare and extraordinary experience that you can never have in the city. It seems that my daughter found it so memorable that she even decided to make it into a picture diary when we got home. We were really glad to join this tour, as Mr. Chuma took many photos with our smartphones, made sure to take breaks for safety, and even served us homemade tankan juice. Thank you, Mr. Chuma!

小学2年の娘と家族3人で参加しました。ベテラガイドの中馬さんの豊富な知識と解説を聞きながら楽しく歩きました。娘は途中で根をあげるかな？と心配もありましたが、中馬さんの後に続いてとても逞しく初めてのトレッキングを完遂しました。一面に広がる苔の世界は本当にもののけの世界観そのままで、都会では絶対に体験することのできない貴重な非日常体験が出来ました。娘は帰ってから絵日記にするほど印象深かい体験だったようです。　私たちのスマホで沢山の写真を撮ってくれたり、安全面にも配慮してこまめに休憩を挟んでくれたり、自家製のたんかんジュースをふるまってくれたりと、こちらのツアーに参加して本当に良かったです。中馬さんありがとうございました！

I visited Ishigaki Island for the first time this time. I had always wanted to go to Taketomi Island at least once. I was worried about the approaching typhoon in Japan, but since it was quite far away, the impact was minimal, and I was able to ride the water buffalo cart safely, which made me very satisfied. 今回初めて石垣島に行きました。竹富島は一度は行きたいと思っていました。台風が日本に近づいてきていてどうなるか心配していましたが、あまりに離れているので台風の影響も少なく無事に水牛車に乗車でき、大満足でした。また、ゆっくりしに訪れたいと思いました。ありがとうございました。

I was worried about the weather being unstable on the reservation date, but they contacted me and changed it to the next day, allowing me to see everything beautifully on the best day. It was just like the image I had seen in photos, and it felt like a planetarium; I was really moved. I'm so glad I did it!

Additionally, after the experience, they introduced me to many recommended shops in Miyako Island, and their service was excellent!

予約日が天気が安定しておらず心配していたら連絡くださり、翌日に変更してベストな日に綺麗な見ることができた。写真で見てたイメージのまんまを現地で見れてプラネタリウムみたいでとっても感動でした。やって本当によかったです！

I was made to ride a water buffalo by a staff member who couldn't play the sanshin, and I felt there was a significant difference in service compared to the customers riding the water buffaloes with other staff members who could play. It left me feeling unpleasant, so I won't be using this company in the future. (This was my second time.)

三線を演奏できないスタッフの水牛に乗らされたのですが、他の演奏できるスタッフの水牛に乗っているお客さんと比べてすごくサービスの差があるように感じた。嫌な気分がしたので今後はこちらの会社を利用しません。(今回2回目でした)

We participated as a family of four, and I was happy that they adjusted the pace while observing our needs. They also provided detailed explanations about the many plants and water in Yakushima, which was very educational.

家族4人で参加しましたが、様子を見ながら進むペースを調整してくださり、嬉しかったです。また屋久島のたくさんの植物や水の説明を詳しく説明して下さり、とても勉強になりました。

I heard that it would be a moon photo since it was close to a full moon, which was fine, but I really wanted to see the stars. Fortunately, the weather was great, and the stars were incredibly beautiful. I could even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. When I mentioned that I wanted something dreamy and couldn't decide on a pose, they took some very enchanting photos for me. They were really nice and also recommended great places to eat! Thanks to this tour, I was very satisfied from the first day of my solo trip! I would love to do it again. Highly recommended!

満月に近かったため月フォトになるって聞いてて、それはそれでよかったけどやっぱり星がいいなぁって思っていたら天気に恵まれてすごく綺麗な星でした。肉眼でも天の川が見れました。私がポーズを決めかねて幻想的なのがいいってアバウトに行ったらとても幻想的な写真を撮ってくれました。すごくいい方でおすすめの食事の場所も教えてくれました！1人旅の初日からこのツアーのおかげですごく満足できました！またお願いしたいです。おすすめです！

The hot, blazing sun and humidity left me exhausted, but the mangrove boat tour taught me many things I didn't know and was very interesting and enjoyable. While being leisurely transported on a water buffalo cart, I was captivated by the fun and delightful stories from the guide. The unique pace of the water buffalo, whether slow or fast, made for a truly enjoyable time. As for dealing with the humidity... I guess the only options are sunscreen and a parasol!

暑い暑い陽射しと蒸暑さで、ヘトヘトになりましたが　　マングローブ遊覧船は知らなかった事をたくさん教えていただきとても興味深く楽しかったです。水牛車でのんびり運ばれてる間、ガイドさん？の楽しく愉快なお話しに惹きつけられました。
水牛さんの個性的な　牛歩や早走りだったり本当に楽しい時間でした。蒸暑さ対策…日焼け止めや日傘で対抗するしか無いですね、

I used this service for a trip during summer vacation with my kindergartener and second grader. The hotel provided transportation, so it was easy to participate even without renting a car. There were various tours to explore the islands I wanted to visit, and I had a hard time deciding which one to choose. This time, I decided on a tour that included seeing mangroves and riding a boat to see the fish swimming. The ferry rides and the order of island visits were adjusted based on the sea conditions of the day, which made everything run smoothly. The mangrove cruise was quite hot because the weather was too nice. We enjoyed riding water buffalo and seeing fish in a glass-bottom boat. However, perhaps we were too ambitious with three islands, as my kindergartener ended up taking a nap during the glass-bottom boat viewing. My second grader really enjoyed the glass-bottom boat, getting excited about the corals, clownfish, and big fish.

夏休みの旅行に、年長と小2の子連れ旅行で利用しました。ホテルから送迎もあり、レンタカーを利用してなくても参加できるので気軽に参加できました。行ってみたい島を巡るツアーが色々あって、どのツアーにしようか悩みました。今回は、マングローブを見てみたいし、船に乗ったまで、泳ぐ魚が見られるツアーのある、こちらのツアーの利用を決めました。フェリーでの移動、島巡りの順番など、その日の海の状態で、日程を考えてくれているのでスムーズに進みました。マングローブ遊覧は、天気が良すぎて、あっつい。水牛に乗ったり、グラスボートで魚を見たり、楽しめました。ただ、3島巡りと欲張り過ぎたのか、年長の子は最後グラスボート鑑賞中、お昼寝タイムとなってしまいました。小2の子には、グラスボートは好評でサンゴやニモ、おっきな魚に興奮してました。

あっという間の時間でしたが、最高でした。
3島巡り離党ツアーにして本当に良かったです。
離島が満喫できました。

I visited Yakushima for the first time and signed up for the Jomon Sugi trekking tour on August 21. To put it simply, it was amazing! I had heard beforehand that we would be walking about 22 kilometers round trip in over 10 hours, so I was a bit anxious. However, the guide, Mr. Yazaki, and the wonderful people in my group made it a fantastic experience. Even though I participated alone, I was able to complete the trek without any issues.

By the way, I am a man in my 30s, and I enjoy outdoor activities like mountain climbing and hiking. I walk quite a bit both for work and in my personal life, so I think for anyone with a similar background, regardless of age or gender, the Jomon Sugi tour is relatively easy. It's just a long distance to walk. However, in my group, everyone except me was new to mountain climbing, yet they all managed to complete the trek without slowing down. This may depend on the guide's pacing and time management, but I believe it's perfectly fine for beginners.

As advice for those considering signing up, I found that there are many tour companies and guides in Yakushima, and it might be hard to decide which one to choose. Honestly, it's difficult to determine which company is reliable. Some guides are affiliated with companies, while others work independently. If the guide and the group you are with are good, the tour will naturally be enjoyable. So, there is definitely an element of luck involved!

Summer is the tourist season in Yakushima, so there are quite a few people participating in the Jomon Sugi tour. The number of restrooms along the way is limited, which can lead to long waits. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend taking it slow to enjoy photo spots on the way there. The guide explained this and maintained a relatively fast pace, overtaking other groups. Thanks to that, we reached Jomon Sugi before 11 AM. Since we went at a fast pace on the way there, we had plenty of time on the return trip to enjoy places we couldn't spend much time at earlier, as well as spots that were great for photos. We even had time to dip into a river and cool off, and the guide mentioned that we were able to visit better spots than other groups because we had that extra time.

We were able to descend around 4:30 PM. Since the tour requires everyone to be present before the bus can leave, you might have to wait a bit. However, the guides communicate with each other via walkie-talkies to manage the overall timing and pacing, so I don't think you'll have to wait excessively.

It rained a little along the way, but it was light, and I found it refreshing. I was truly fortunate to have such great members in my group. Thank you!

初めて屋久島を訪れ、8/21に縄文杉トレッキングツアーを申し込みました。
結論から言うと、最高でした！事前情報で、10時間以上かけて往復約22キロの行程を一日で歩くと聞いていたので、少々不安でしたが、当日担当してくれたガイドの矢崎さんを始め、一緒のグループの方たちが素晴らしい方々でしたので、一人で参加しましたが、何の不自由もなく無事終えることができました。
ちなみに私は30代男性で、山登りやハイキング等のアウトドアが趣味で、普段から仕事でもプライベートでも結構歩いているので、そういう方であれば、老若男女問わず、縄文杉ツアーは比較的難易度は低いと思います。ただただ歩く距離が長いというだけですね。ですが、今回同行したグループ内には、私以外は山登り等が初めての方々でしたが、皆ペースを落とすことなく、無事完歩できているので、ガイドさんの時間・ペース配分にもよるのでしょうが、経験者ではなくても全然問題ないと思います。
あと、これから申し込まれる方へのアドバイスというか、体験して思ったこととして、屋久島には数多くのツアー会社やガイドさんがいらっしゃって、どこにしたらいいか迷うかもしれませんが、この会社だから当たり・外れだというのは正直見極めるのは難しいです。ガイドさんも会社に所属している人もいれば、個人事業主として会社から委託を受けてやっている人もいますので。当日担当してくれるガイドさんと同じグループの方たちが良ければ、自然とそのツアーも良いものとなるでしょう。ですので、正直運要素が強いですね笑。
夏は屋久島も観光シーズンですので、縄文杉ツアーに参加する人も相当数います。途中のトイレの数も限られているので、トイレに人が殺到して、そこで時間を浪費してしまいます。だから、行きはゆっくり写真スポットを巡りながらというのは、あまりおすすめしません。ガイドさんもそれを説明してくれて、行きは割と早いペースで、どんどんと他のグループを追い抜いて行きました。おかげで11時前には縄文杉に到達できました。行きをハイペースで行った分、帰りは時間に余裕があったので、行きであまり時間をかけて見れなかったところやガイドさんが説明しきれなかったところ、写真映えするスポットをゆっくりと楽しむことができました。途中の川に降りて膝ぐらいまで水に浸かってアイシングしたり、花崗岩がゴツゴツとある川に降りて、岩に座りながら景色を楽しんだりと、時間に余裕があった分、他のグループより良い場所を巡れたとガイドさんも言っていました。
下山できたのは16:30頃でした。ツアーで参加していると帰りのバスに全員揃うまで出発できないので、少し待つ必要があるかもしれません。ガイドさん同士でトランシーバーで連絡を取り合って、全体の時間・ペース配分をしているので、めちゃくちゃ待つということはないと思います。
途中で雨も降りましたが、小降りでしたので、これくらいの雨なら涼しさも感じられて心地よかったです。
本当にメンバーに恵まれました。ありがとうございました！

We participated as a group of four women! We split into canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding, but we were allowed to switch halfway, so we got to experience both. Even as beginners, we were able to progress without falling!

During the experience and in the car, we heard a lot about mangroves and environmental creatures, which sparked our interest!

Our guide, Ren-chan, was cheerful and friendly, making it a fun experience!

After the activity, it was great that we could wash off the dirt in a simple shower room and change clothes.

I have visited Yakushima several times, but this was my first time participating in the Jomon Sugi trekking with my family of four. It was harder than I expected, but the guide provided breaks at just the right times, and we were able to complete it. The transportation to and from the tour was also easy, and I'm glad we participated in the tour.

屋久島は数回来ていますが、縄文杉トレッキングには初めて家族4人で参加しました。
思ったよりハードでしたが、ガイドさんが適度に休憩をいれてくれて、達成できました。
行き帰りの送迎も楽チンで、ツアー参加で良かったです。

I received very polite communication from the day before, which made me feel at ease to participate. On the day of the event, the explanations were also very thorough and kind. I was able to see four sea turtles and took many photos, creating wonderful memories! They recommended spots in Okinawa and mentioned that we might be able to see sea turtle hatching since it was a full moon. Although we didn't see the hatching, going to the beach at night allowed us to enjoy the beautiful full moon reflecting on the sea, along with the stars and scenery. Matsuura-san provided perfect follow-up after the tour, and I truly appreciated it! I look forward to visiting Miyako Island again. Thank you very much!

The instructor, Yamachan, and Yurina-chan were friendly and made it easy for me to relax. The beach was changed due to weather conditions, but the coral and fish were very beautiful and it felt great! They also diligently searched for sea turtles, and I was so happy to see one up close at the end. The turtle's breathing was adorable!

When I made the reservation, there was a note saying that there are no seats for children under elementary school age, and they should sit on your lap. However, since it was less crowded than I expected, we were able to sit comfortably on all the rides.

For lunch on Yufu Island, I was wondering what to do about my preschooler who hadn't paid the tour fee, but when I consulted at the Ishigaki Dream Tourism counter, they suggested ordering a children's lunch box, which I requested. It was great that we could have a smooth meal when we got there. I think the children's lunch was 1,200 yen.

To ensure the little ones could enjoy themselves, we chose a glass-bottom boat tour on Taketomi Island. There was a request to see Nemo, and they took us to a spot where we could see clownfish, which was fun.

1歳半の孫を連れての参加で、心配もありましたが、それなりに楽しく思い出に残る旅になりました。ありがとうございました。

予約時に小学生以下の子どもは席がありません。ひざの上に座らせて下さい。という注意書きがありましたが、思ったより空いていた事もあって、どの乗物でもゆっくり座る事が出来ました。

由布島での昼食は、ツアー料金を払っていない幼稚園児はどうしたら良いかと思っていたのですが、受付した石垣ドリーム観光のカウンターで相談したらお子様ランチのお弁当を注文しておきましょうか
との提案があり、お願いしていたので、現地に行ってスムーズに食事する事が出来て良かったです。
お子様ランチは1200円だったと思います。

小さい子が楽しめるように、竹富島でグラスボートのツアーにしたのですが、ニモが見たいというリクエストで、クマノミ？が見れるスポットに行ってくれて、楽しかったです。

We participated as a group of three, and each of us was able to experience both SUP and canoeing. We were able to take a lot of photos, and we were very satisfied. It was great to have many photos taken during snorkeling as well.

I participated in the Jomon Sugi tour in Yakushima. The guide, Mr. Omochida, provided very thorough guidance and explanations, which helped me learn a lot. During lunch, they even prepared miso soup, and I was grateful for the assistance with carrying heavy bags. Thank you very much.

Now, here is some reference information for others. The guide typically manages about 3 to 4 groups (with 5 to 8 people each). In this tour, there were 6 guides forming one team, with approximately 30 to 40 participants who took a chartered bus to the trailhead. The bus fare is included in the tour price. In my case, since I was staying a bit farther away, a taxi came to pick me up at my accommodation (the taxi fare is also included in the tour price). I think it’s a very good deal.

Overall, the guides, including the others, were great. The guides coordinated well to maintain the pace, ensuring that everyone safely reached Jomon Sugi and returned on time to catch the bus back to the accommodation. It was helpful that we didn’t have to worry about being too early to enjoy the experience or too late and missing the bus.

屋久島の縄文杉ツアーに参加させて頂きました。ガイドの御調さんがとても丁寧に案内と説明をして下さったので、色々と勉強になりました。お昼の時はお味噌汁まで用意頂き重い荷物を担がれて感謝感激です。ありがとうございました。
ここからは他の方への参考情報です。ガイドさんはおおよそ、3組〜4組(人数は5人〜8人)を担当。このツアーではガイドさんが6人で1チームを構成して、大凡30人〜40人が参加して、貸切バスに乗り、登山口まで移動しました。バス代はツアー代金に含まれます。私の場合は少し離れた場所に宿泊していたので、タクシーが宿まで迎えに来て貰えました(タクシー代もツアー代含)。かなりお得なツアーだと思います。
ガイドさんは他のガイドさん含めて総じて良かったです。ガイドさん同士が連携してペースを作っているので、全員が無事縄文杉まで行って、時間通りに戻り直ぐにバスで宿まで戻れました。
早すぎても楽しめませんし、遅すぎるとバスが無いなんて心配も無くて助かりました。

Riding the water buffalo cart while they played and sang Okinawan folk songs on the sanshin was so much fun! I had planned to go to the Star Sand beach by bicycle, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it because I was running late!

水牛車に、のって、沖縄民謡など、三線を弾いて歌ってくれて、とても楽しかった！
星の砂の所に、自転車で、行く予定だったのですが、遅くなり行けなかったのが、残念でした！

Family (couple, son in 4th grade, daughter in 2nd grade) - First snorkeling tour
We had the opportunity to meet many fish, including sea turtles and Nemo.

My daughter was initially anxious, but thanks to our guide (Yama-chan) holding her hand, she felt secure, grew to love it, and said she had a lot of fun.
As a parent, I was also able to enjoy snorkeling without worrying about my daughter.

I want to go snorkeling again.
And when I do, I will use Veltra again.

ウミガメ、ニモなどたくさんのお魚と出会わせて頂きました。

娘が、最初は不安だったけど、ガイドのお兄さん（やまちゃん）が手を繋いでくれたおかげで、安心して、大好きになり、とても楽しかったと言ってました。
親としても、娘の事をケアせずにすみ、シュノーケルを楽しめました。

また、シュノーケルしたいと思いました。
そして
その時は、またベルトラを利用します。

For our honeymoon, we finally took a trip to Okinawa and went on a water buffalo tour that we had always dreamed of.

This tour had a unique style where different guides were assigned to different sightseeing spots instead of one guide leading the entire tour. I was a bit anxious about whether there would be opportunities to use the restroom during the tour, but each guide communicated clearly, saying things like, "We'll reach a restroom in about X minutes" and "You won't be able to go to the restroom from here, so please go now," which made it easy to enjoy the sightseeing without worrying about that. All the guides shared interesting stories, making it a fun experience.

Yufu Island, which we crossed by water buffalo, was surprisingly small. It was very hot during this time, making it challenging to explore, but there were unique souvenirs available only here, and areas where we could interact with the water buffalo, which was enjoyable. The sightseeing on Yufu Island was free time, so we could explore at our own pace without feeling rushed, which was great. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the lunch provided didn't suit my taste, and I couldn't eat much of it.

The sightseeing was efficient, with no wasted time during bus and boat transfers. I thought it would be difficult to achieve such efficiency on our own. The tour ended around 2 PM, allowing us to visit other attractions afterward, which was also a plus.

Overall, it was a very fulfilling tour and created wonderful memories. I'm really glad we participated in this tour.

新婚旅行で初めての沖縄旅行ということで、ずっと憧れていた水牛ツアーへ。

このツアーは、1人のガイドさんが全て案内をするのではなく見学場所によってガイドさんが分かれているスタイルでした。
ツアーだとトイレに行けるタイミングがあるのか不安だったのですが、それぞれ担当のガイドさんが「あと〇分でトイレがある場所に着きます」「この先トイレに行けないので行っておいてください」等ちゃんと伝えてくれたのでトイレに行きそびれることもなく安心して観光できました。
どのガイドさんも面白いお話をして下さり楽しかったです。

水牛で渡った由布島は、思いのほか小さく
この時期とても暑くて散策するのが大変でしたが、ここでしか買えないお土産があったり、水牛と触れ合えるエリアがあり楽しめました。
由布島での観光は、自由行動だったので縛られることなく自分たちのペースで観光できたのが良かったです。
強いていえば、用意していただいた昼食が口に合わずほとんど食べられなかったところが残念だったかな、と思います。


観光は、バスやボートの移動で無駄な時間がなく、効率がよかったです。自力で行こうとするとこんなに効率良く行くことは難しいだろうなと思いました。
丸1日潰れるのではなく、14時頃に終わるツアーで、解散後 他の観光地に行くこともできる点も良かったです。

総じてとても充実したツアーで、良い思い出になりました。このツアーに参加して本当によかったです。

I was guided by a guide named Matsuura! I was worried because I'm not good at swimming, but thanks to Matsuura's kind and attentive guidance, I was able to have a great time! I was also able to meet the sea turtles I had always wanted to see, and I was very satisfied. The photos taken were sent to me that same night, and Matsuura also shared recommendations for gourmet food and sightseeing spots in Miyako Island, allowing me to fully enjoy my time there! 松浦さんというガイドさんに案内をしてもらいました！泳ぐのが苦手で心配でしたが、松浦さんが優しく丁寧にガイドしてくださったおかげで、楽しく過ごすことができました！念願のウミガメにも会うことができ、大満足です。撮影していただいた写真もその日の夜には送っていただき、また宮古島のおすすめのグルメや観光スポットも教えていただき、宮古島を満喫することができました！ありがとうございました。

In the city, I have never experienced this.
A clear blue sky spreads out, and the mangrove jungle extends over the deep blue sea.
I was moved by the completely new scenery.
My family kept saying, "This is so healing."

何もかも目新しい景色に感動です。
家族ともども『癒されるね』の連呼でした
