Thank you for participating in our tour the other day. It was truly a hot day. Since it was the first day of a three-day weekend, we anticipated heavy traffic on the expressway, so taking the national road for part of the journey turned out to be a good decision.

Shirakawa-go has many souvenir shops, truly a tourist destination. Gokayama, on the other hand, is a UNESCO World Heritage site where you can see families, including children who actually live there. It might have felt a bit lacking for you, who enjoys visiting souvenir shops. However, the village, reminiscent of a fairy tale, still retained a lot of nature.
