I had requested a few places in advance and asked to decide the rest on the day. The driver was polite and answered questions, engaging in small talk, but as others have mentioned, he wasn't particularly knowledgeable or took photos for us.

It felt more like a shuttle service than a sightseeing taxi, with a basic "We've arrived, please take your time" approach. However, when I expressed that I wanted to go to a specific place, he considered the order and we arrived at the airport almost on time.

That said, I had an amazing experience with a sightseeing taxi in Ishigaki Island a few days prior, so I felt a bit underwhelmed.

I booked the 3-hour course. I requested to focus on sightseeing around Kabira Bay and the glass-bottom boat, but they took me to many more places than I had expected, and I enjoyed it far more than I had anticipated. It exceeded my expectations.
Along the way, I was able to see a crowned eagle and a sea turtle, and the pineapple juice introduced by the driver was delicious, plus the scenery was amazing.

It was good that they came to pick us up at the airport on time.
We went from the airport to the Churaumi Aquarium, and then to Pineapple Park.
We were a group of nine and had requested to take photos at beautiful scenic spots when making the reservation, but in the end, we weren't guided to any.
It was a silent two-hour ride from the airport to the aquarium.
The driver only answered in single words to what we asked.

Our driver was an experienced woman. We were a family of four (two adults in their 50s and two adult children), but the car was not as cramped as I had feared. On the way to Shirakawa-go, we had a great icebreaker with stories about the history of the Maeda family, the origins of the scattered village, and friends from Saitama. Thanks to her reassuring driving, we arrived at our destination in no time.

First, we enjoyed a panoramic view of Shirakawa-go from a high point, and then we headed to the parking lot with the suspension bridge leading to Shirakawa-go. Our driver kindly guided us to the entrance of the bridge, which was a bit hard to find, allowing us to explore comfortably without getting lost.

Unfortunately, the soba restaurant and snack shop she recommended were crowded, so we couldn't get in, but we enjoyed visiting several sightseeing facilities and exploring the area.

This time, I planned a 2-night, 3-day trip with Shirakawa-go on the first day and sightseeing in Kanazawa on the second day. Since the weather seemed bad in advance, I considered changing Shirakawa-go to the second day... However, since the sightseeing in Kanazawa involves more walking, I decided to stick to the original plan and went ahead with it. １０日から全国的に気温が下がり白川郷はあいにくの雨模様でした。新幹線で降り立った金沢は雨の日が比較的多いとのことですね。今回、２泊３日の予定で初日に白川郷,２日目に金沢観光で計画。事前に天候が悪い様なので白川郷を２日目に変更しようかと・・・。でも金沢観光の方が歩く距離が長いので予定通りで決断、決行しました。タクシーの車内では会話が弾み途中渋滞もありましたが、Ｊさんのおかげで楽しい初日となりました。紅葉も進み小雨でしたが全く苦にならず、気温が最適だったので前日の夏日よりは歩きやすかったのではないかと想像します。この時期にしては白川郷も若干空いていたようですし。予定を変更しなかったおかげで２日目の金沢名所巡りも曇りやや晴れで丁度良かったですし、観光案内が上手な運転手にも恵まれ快適なツアーとなりました。ありがとうございました。
