It was great to see polar bears and seals up close, as well as Giraffe-san. I recommend the soft serve ice cream from the vendor outside the main gate. I was very satisfied to see the Blue Pond and Shiraito Falls.

This was my first trip to Hokkaido, so I signed up for this tour. Among the 18 participants, only my husband and I, along with another couple, were Japanese. The foreign participants were also very respectful of manners, making it a very comfortable experience. I was grateful for the attentiveness of both the guide and the driver.
In the hotel lobby where we gathered, there were several other tour guides from the same company, making it difficult to find our tour guide. I had to ask about three people to locate them.

参加者が18名の内日本人は私達夫婦ともう一組のご夫婦だけでした。外国の方もマナーを守っておられてとても快適に参加できまし。

At Asahiyama Zoo, we were able to see the polar bear's feeding time. If we had a little more time, we could have seen the feeding times of various animals—what a shame!

It was great to efficiently visit the main tourist spots from Asahiyama Zoo to Furano and Biei. The guide who accompanied us (Chinese, I couldn't catch their name) provided a clear and easy-to-understand explanation in polite Japanese, and we also enjoyed the experience of having a simultaneous interpretation in English and Chinese, which made us feel like we were abroad. On the way back, we even encountered a red fox by chance. I plan to use this service again if I have the opportunity.

It was my first visit to Asahiyama Zoo in 10 years. The bus was comfortable, the guide's explanations were easy to understand, and the zoo was not crowded, so I was able to enjoy it thoroughly, even having extra time to spare. On top of that, I was able to hear the clock tower's bell at 6:00 PM, which was a nice bonus.

The weather wasn't great, but I was able to enjoy everything. Mr. Wang spoke in three languages, making it a worldwide trip, and at the blue pond, which I wanted to visit the most, the rain stopped, and I was able to see the beautiful blue— it was amazing! I signed up for two different tours on consecutive days, and coincidentally, the same tour guide was with us. Asahiyama Zoo was sweltering, reaching nearly 29°C, and both the animals and I were exhausted. However, after that, the Patchwork Road was cool, and the Shirahige Falls were almost cold. A family trip to Hokkaido for five people.
It was a bus tour from Sapporo that allowed us to fully enjoy Asahiyama Zoo for a whole day.
Even though it was during Golden Week, there was no traffic, and the drive was smooth, which was great and stress-free.
It was nice to hear the fun talk from the bus guide again after a long time, and the nostalgic Showa vibe was pleasant.

At first, I was planning to take the train from Sapporo, but as I researched, I found it quite far and time-consuming, so I discovered this tour. It’s really convenient since you just sit back and get taken there without any hassle.
On this day, the road conditions were very good, and we arrived much earlier than expected, which gave us more time for sightseeing—what a lucky break! The guide was also a fun and kind person.
I had heard that the penguin walk only happens in the morning in March, so I had given up on that, but to my surprise, they held the walk in the afternoon too! It was a delightful surprise.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone considering visiting Asahiyama Zoo from Sapporo.

I went on a Saturday in February, and the weather was great, it was the best.
I stayed for about three and a half hours and was able to see everything at a leisurely pace.
It's wonderful that they take you without having to drive yourself.

If I had to say something, it would have been reassuring if the bus had a restroom.

The highlight is the Biei Shirahige Waterfall in the snow. With a relaxing tour guide and a group of quiet tourists on the bus, we can unwind and enjoy the snowy scenery during the ride. The guide is a young Japanese man, and we are fortunate to have him. He speaks English very well. The buffet lunch is average but sufficient. It's better to include the buffet lunch since there aren't many other options around.
美瑛白ひげの滝 in snow is our highlight. Relaxing tour guide with a group of quiet tourists in the bus, we can relax and enjoy the snow along the bus ride. The guide is a Japanese young man, we are lucky to have him. He speaks English very well. Buffet Lunch is average but adequate. Better to include buffet lunch as not much other choices around.

I found a tour that included Asahiyama Zoo, Blue Pond, and Shirahige Falls, and I participated in it. The zoo is compact, but the exhibits were creatively arranged and enjoyable. The Blue Pond was bluer than I expected. Shirahige Falls was beautiful, even though we viewed it from a bridge a bit away. The Yubari melon was very sweet and delicious, and I ended up eating a lot. It was a pity that the flowers in Biei were finished and the weather wasn't perfectly clear, but it was a trip that satisfied both my eyes and my stomach.

This was my second visit to the zoo. The last tour I participated in didn't have enough time because it stopped at other sightseeing spots, so this time I chose a tour with plenty of time. However, there was also a penguin walk, so in the end, we still didn't have enough time...
I think it can't be helped since the blizzard made the road conditions worse.
But once again, I was healed by the cute animals and I was very satisfied.

I was very satisfied that I could visit all the places I wanted to 🥰. The tour I participated in (in February) had a third of the participants from China, a third from Taiwan, and a third from Japan. I participated in a tour during the Spring Festival. There were probably only four Japanese people, and the rest were likely all Chinese. The tour guide was also a Chinese person who had been in Japan for two years. Anyway, the group was not punctual at all; we started late, and my concerns about the rest of the trip were confirmed as delays continued. A 10-minute delay was the norm. The only time we were on schedule was for the last restroom break at the service area. I felt sorry for the tour guide, who was anxious every time. In mid-January, I participated in this bus tour, and out of 47 people on the bus, 40 were from China. Each time we departed from different locations, there was about a minute of explanation in Japanese, but afterwards, the conversation continued in Chinese for 20-30 minutes. Sapporo, our departure point, had little snow, but Asahiyama Zoo was a winter wonderland at -6 degrees, truly representing Hokkaido! We booked a bus tour with minimal travel burden for our first trip to Hokkaido with kids, and it was definitely the right choice!
