It was my first time canoeing, but I felt secure participating since an experienced guide was with us. In the serene environment filled only with the sounds of water and birds, paddling slowly in the canoe was a truly wonderful experience that passed by in no time. I was so captivated by the scenery that, despite having been taught how to paddle, I hardly paddled at all. However, thanks to the guide's superb technique, we glided silently down the Kushiro River without making a sound... it was the best. I definitely want to join again in the winter!

初めてのカヌーでしたが、経験豊かなガイドさんが同乗されているので、安心して参加できました。
水音と鳥の声しかしない中、ゆっくりと漕ぐカヌーはとてもすばらしい時間で、あっというまに過ぎてしまいました。
景色に見とれてしまい、漕ぎ方をせっかく教えていただいたのにほとんど漕ぐことができませんでしたが、ガイドさんのスーパーテクニックで、漕ぐ音もなく静かに釧路川を流れていくカヌー…最高でした。
次回は冬に是非また参加させて頂きたいと思います！

I went during the autumn foliage season. Although it was a weekday, there were about eight groups, and more than half were beginners. There is a thorough briefing beforehand, so it's reassuring. The instructors are all foreigners, but they speak Japanese well and provide fun advice while joking around as they paddle alongside you. There are paid photo services, but I really appreciated the service where they take pictures with your own phone. My friend's canoe initially struggled to move smoothly and kept bumping into various places, but after getting the hang of it, she was able to paddle easily in the second half. The course starts and returns, but the river's flow is gentle, so it's not too difficult (there are points where you have to paddle hard to make progress). At the turnaround point, the autumn leaves on the rock face were breathtakingly beautiful, and I was moved. I definitely want to participate again next year. There is a spot where you can get off the canoe in shallow water. They offer free rentals of Crocs, but if you're participating in the cold water of autumn, it's better to wear rubber boots.

秋の紅葉時期に行ってきました。
平日でしたが私 全部で8組位いて半数以上が初心者の方でした。事前にしっかりとレクチャーがあるので安心です。インストラクターの方は皆さん外国の方ですが日本語も上手で冗談を言いながら楽しくアドバイスしながら並走してくれます。写真は有料の所がありますが、こちらは自分の携帯で撮ってくれるサービスがとても嬉しいです。友達のカヌーは初めは色んなところに突っ込んでなかなか上手く進められませんでしたがコツを掴んでからの後半はスイスイ漕げるようになっていました。スタートして折り返し戻ってくるコースですが、川の流れが緩やかなのでそんなに大変ではないです。(ポイントで一生懸命漕がないと進まない所あり)折り返しの地点では岩壁にある紅葉が息を飲む程の美しさで感動しました。来年も絶対に参加したいです。途中浅瀬でカヌーから降りる所があります。無料でクロックスの貸出しはありますが水が冷たい秋に参加される方は長靴を履いていった方が良いですよ。

The scenery and the guide were both wonderful, and I had a truly satisfying experience! Although it was raining on the day of the trip, the rain stopped by the time we started canoeing, making for very pleasant weather. They provided free Crocs and rain gear for us to use while canoeing.

At the beginning, there was a thorough explanation of how to operate the canoe and safety precautions, so even beginners could feel at ease and easily get on. The autumn leaves were beautiful, and the contrast between the river and the blue sky was stunning! I was able to fully enjoy nature at a wonderful time of year. I would love to visit again in a different season!

景色もガイドの方も素晴らしく、大満足の体験が出来ました！
当日は雨が降っていたものの、カヌーに乗り始める頃には雨が止んでくれたのでとても気持ちの良い気候でした。カヌーに乗る時には無料でクロックスや雨具を貸し出していただけました。
はじめにカヌーの操作や注意点などの説明もしっかりあり、初心者でも安心して簡単に乗ることができました。
ちょうど紅葉がキレイで、川と空の青とのコントラストが美しかったです！素晴らしい時期に大自然を満喫することができました。また違う季節にも行ってみたいと思います！

I participated in this tour to refresh myself in Jozankei while visiting my hometown. I thought it might be difficult, but the guide explained everything thoroughly, so I felt comfortable getting on the canoe. It was just the time when the autumn leaves were starting to change, and it was very beautiful. I was able to feel nature all around me in 360 degrees, making it a very enjoyable and valuable experience! I believe this tour is not only enjoyable for those from outside Hokkaido but also for residents of Hokkaido. I would love to join again with friends. Thank you very much!

実家への帰省のついでに定山渓へリフレッシュに行こうと今回のツアーへ参加しました。難しいのではないかと思っていましたがガイドの方が丁寧に説明してくれるので安心してカヌーに乗ることができました。ちょうど紅葉が始まりかけた時期でとても綺麗でした。360度自然を感じることができとても楽しい貴重な体験になりました！北海道外の方はもちろんのこと北海道に在住している方も非常に楽しめるツアーになっていると思います！また友人を連れて参加したいと思いました。ありがとうございました！！

I nervously signed up for the beginner canoe course at Bibikawa, fearing the possibility of capsizing. Fortunately, the weather was great, and the guidance from my companions and the instructor was spot on. I was able to enjoy my first canoe experience for about an hour without capsizing (which apparently happens very rarely).

For the first 10 minutes, we were the typical example of a "couple out of sync," bumping into the riverbank in various directions! However, since the current was gentle, if the person sitting in the back takes control, we quickly made progress from being complete beginners. It wasn't long before I had the chance to take some photos too.

Now, it's time to challenge the advanced course! (laughs)

ひっくり返る可能性に恐る恐る申し込んだ美々川カヌー初心者コース　天候にも恵まれ、同行者や引率者の指導も的確で、ひっくり返ることなく（極めて稀にあるらしいけど）初カヌーを約1時間満喫できました。
最初の10分くらいは「息の合わない夫婦」の典型例で、方向もあっちこっちへ川べりにゴツン！でも、流れが緩やかだから、2人乗りで後ろに乗った人がコントロールすれば、すぐに初心者から一歩前進します。カメラ撮影する余裕がでてくるのもすぐですよ。
さぁ次は、上級コース挑戦だぁ。（笑）

We rode in kayaks in pairs and headed towards the cave.
With the instructor, we entered the cave one pair at a time and experienced the beautiful blue water surface.
(It was different from what I had imagined, but it was beautiful.)
It was also a rare experience to see sea urchins and abalone on the way there and back.
It seems that there has been a lot of media coverage recently.
The instructor was polite and friendly, which made me feel comfortable participating.
At the end, the instructor sent photos taken during the trip to all participants via iDrop.
I think it would have been even better if they had been considerate about not sending photos of other groups, as some people may be sensitive about personal information handling these days.

3ペアでカヤックに乗り、洞窟へ向かいました。
インストラクターさんと一緒に1ペアずつ洞窟に入り、美しい青の水面を体験出来ます。
(想像していたものとは違いましたが綺麗でした)
行き帰りにウニやアワビを見られる体験も貴重でした。
TVなどの取材も最近多いようです。
インストラクターさんも丁寧で気さくな方で安心して参加できました。
最後、インストラクターさんが撮った写真をアイドロップで参加者一斉に送ってくださいます。
昨今、個人情報の取り扱いにナーバスな方もいらっしゃると思うので、他グループの写真は送らないよう配慮していただけると尚良かったかなと思いました。

I highly recommend this activity! It was a valuable experience.

I had no prior experience with canoeing and signed up somewhat on a whim. So I went for the half course, haha.

After the explanation, we boarded the boat and started! It was my first experience, but it was so much fun! The hand-paddled boat is completely different. It can maneuver easily, but it was more stable than I expected, making it safe and enjoyable.

The Bibi River was shallow but had very clear and beautiful water. I was also very satisfied to encounter swans on the sandbank!

The staff were foreigners, but they spoke Japanese without any issues and were polite and kind, making the experience enjoyable throughout. They even offered a service for commemorative photos with my own smartphone during the canoeing experience. I was glad this was free!

After reaching the endpoint, there was a shuttle service back to the starting point.

I live in Hokkaido, but there are still many experiences I haven't had in my local area, so I look forward to enjoying various activities in the future!

説明のあと乗船、スタート！
初体験でしたが楽しい！楽しい！
手漕ぎボートは大違い。小回り出来るが思った以上に安定感があり安心安全で楽しめました。

美美川は水深は浅いがとても澄み切った綺麗な川でした。　中洲では白鳥にも遭遇出来て大満足！

スタッフは外国の方でしたが日本語も問題なく丁寧、親切で終始楽しく過ごす事ができましたよ。
カヌー体験中に自分のスマホで記念撮影のサービスも。
これが無料で良かったです！

終点到着後はスタート地点まで送迎つきです。

北海道在住ですが地元でもまだまだ未体験な事が沢山あるので、今後も色々と楽しみたいですね〜！

At first, I was anxious because the instructor was a foreigner, but they taught us kindly and patiently, so I was able to enjoy it without any worries! (The instructor's name was Ganess.)
I signed up for the full course, and in the first half, we practiced canoeing while going down a wide river, and in the second half, we navigated a narrower river for a total of about two hours.
The second half was truly a real jungle cruise! It felt like we were in a tunnel of trees, and we couldn't hear any sounds from the outside, slowly drifting down the quiet river. Along the way, we saw many kingfishers, and their blue color was incredibly beautiful...
We also encountered swans and ducks swimming!
They even take photos while you're paddling the canoe!
If I come back to Hokkaido, I definitely want to do this again and highly recommend it! Please make sure to sign up for the full course!

最初は外国の方が講師だったので不安でしたが、優しく丁寧に教えてくださったので何の心配もなく楽しめました！(ガネスさんという方でした)
フルコースを申し込みましたが、前半はカヌーの操縦の練習を兼ねつつ広い川を下り、後半は狭めの川を下り合計2時間弱くらいでした。
この後半がまさにリアルジャングルクルーズ！木のトンネルのようになっていて周りの音も聞こえず、静かな川をゆっくり下ります。その途中カワセミがたくさん見られてその青色が大変綺麗でした…
他にも白鳥やカモが泳いでいるのに遭遇できました！
カヌーを漕いでいる最中に写真も撮ってくださいます！
また北海道に来たら絶対やりたいし、オススメします！ぜひフルコースで申し込んでみてくださいね。

I prepared myself to get soaked since the weather forecast predicted rain, but on the day of the trip, it was sunny and the weather was very nice! It was still a bit early for the autumn leaves, but I was able to enjoy some beautiful scenery.
Once I arrived, I changed into the provided Crocs, so I didn't have to worry about my shoes getting wet. A towel to dry my feet at the end was necessary.
I was a bit anxious about being able to steer the canoe well, but there was a thorough briefing beforehand. Following the instructions made it easy to steer, and as I paddled, it became more and more enjoyable!
The river's depth was such that an adult could stand, so I think it's safe to participate.
It became a very nice memory!

　天気予報が雨だったため、びしょ濡れになるのを覚悟して行きましたが当日は晴れておりとても良い天気でした！紅葉の時期にはまだ早かったですが、とても良い景色を楽しむことができました。
　現地に着いてから用意されているクロックスに履き替えるので、靴が濡れる心配がありませんでした。最後に足を拭くためのタオルは必要です。
　カヌーの操縦を上手くできるか少し不安でしたが、事前に丁寧なレクチャーがありました。その通りに漕ぐととても上手く操縦できるので、漕いでるうちにどんどん楽しくなっていきました！
　川の深さはどこも大人が立てるような深さなので、安心して参加できると思います。
　とても良い思い出になりました！

In September, we participated with 16 people plus 19 dogs. I was happy that we could canoe with our dogs and that the participation fee was free. There was a thorough lecture at the beginning, which made first-time participants feel at ease. In the first half, we paddled down a calm river and learned how to operate the canoe. The dogs were all well-behaved, either sitting on their owners' laps or in the canoe. I was also delighted to see swans up close. The second half of the jungle course had a narrow river width, so we had to be careful not to bump into the trees on either side, but paddling through the forest with sunlight sparkling on the river was very pleasant and moving. The full course was about 4 kilometers long, which made my arms tired at times, but it was fun to escape from daily life and enjoy nature.

9月に16名プラス犬19匹で参加させてもらいました。わんちゃんと一緒にカヌーが出来る上、参加費無料な所が嬉しいです。初めにしっかりレクチャーがあり初めての参加される方も安心です。前半は穏やかな川を下り、ここで操作を覚えます。わんちゃん達は飼い主の膝の上に乗っているかカヌーの中で座っていたりとみんな大人しくしていました。白鳥も間近に見ることが出来たので嬉しかったです。後半のジャングルコースは川幅が狭く、左右の木に突っ込んでしまいますので油断出来ませんが森林に囲まれた中、木漏れ日でキラキラと光る川を漕ぎ、とても気持ち良くて感動しました。フルコースは約4キロと長いので途中腕が辛くなったりしましたが日常生活から離れ自然を満喫できて楽しかったです。

The instructor's explanations were easy to understand. They were cheerful and made the experience comfortable. We kayaked around Lake Shikotsu and the Chitose River. Due to the strong winds, we mainly focused on the Chitose River, which was beautiful and lovely. I was also glad to receive some photos.

インストラクターのかたの説明が分かりやすかったです。明るく声かけしていただいて過ごしやすかったです。カヤックで支笏湖と千歳川を回りました。風が強かったため、千歳川メインでしたが、美しい川で綺麗でした。写真も頂けてよかったです。

My husband and I participated together.
The meeting point at the airport was easy to find, and the pickup from the airport was very convenient.
It seems that they can also store large luggage at the departure point, and valuables and drinks can be placed in waterproof bags to keep them dry while on the canoe.
Before we got on, they provided a thorough explanation of how to hold and handle the paddle, the characteristics of the course, and the approximate timing!
Even when we struggled to move forward, they offered advice and support along the way, so we were able to reach the finish line safely, even as beginners (^ - ^)
They also took many photos of us in the canoe, creating wonderful memories!

夫と二人で参加しました。
空港の集合場所もわかりやすく、空港からのピックアップもしていただいたので、便利です。
出発ポイントで、大きい荷物も預かっていただけるようですし、貴重品や飲み物は水にぬれないよう防水バックにいれ、カヌーに一緒にのせることができます。
乗る前にはパドルの持ち方や、扱い方、コースの特徴やおおよその時間の説明を丁寧にしていただきました！
うまく進めないときも、随時アドバイス&サポートしていただいたので、初心者の私達でもなんとか無事ゴールできました(^-^)

Before returning from my sightseeing in Sapporo, I decided to experience Hokkaido's nature and joined this tour that offers airport transfers. The plan I booked was a two-hour full course canoeing on the Bibi River.

There were swans in the river, so I was able to see them up close. Enjoying canoeing alongside the swans was a rare experience. The river, surrounded by trees, looked like a green tunnel and was very beautiful.

However, it can be quite challenging to paddle on windy days, so it's best to go with a friend who has good stamina.

札幌観光から帰る前に北海道の自然も体験しようと思い、空港からの送迎があるこのツアーに参加しました。申し込んだプランは、美々川カヌーの2時間フルコースです。
川に白鳥がいるので、間近で白鳥を見ることができました。白鳥といっしょにカヌーを楽しめたのは貴重な体験でした。また木々に囲まれた川は緑のトンネルの様でとても美しかったです。
ただし風の強い日に漕ぐのはとても大変なので、体力のある友人といっしょに行くのが良いでしょう。

The guide was a foreigner fluent in Japanese, who occasionally lightened the mood with jokes and kept the atmosphere cheerful! Since it was my first experience with canoeing, I felt a bit anxious at first, but after the first hour of the course, I was able to handle it well. In the second half, which became a bit more jungle-like, I was able to enjoy the scenery. Along the way, I encountered various creatures such as herons, swans, and fish, making it a very satisfying experience. This time, I used it as a couple, but even those without much strength can manage it easily, so I recommend it for family trips as well!

ガイドは日本語が流暢な外国人の方で、時折冗談も交えて、陽気に場を盛り上げてくれました！カヌーは初体験だったので、少し不安がありましたが、前半のコース1時間でしっかり操作できるようになり、後半の少しジャングルになったコースでは、景色を楽しむことができました。コースの途中では、サギや白鳥、また魚などさまざまな生き物に触れることができ、とても満足な体験でした。今回は、カップルで利用しましたが、力のない方でも十分に操作できるので、家族連れの旅行でもオススメです！

I participated in a canoeing experience with my daughter. It was raining, so I was unsure whether to go, but I decided to join, and it was the right choice! I was able to enjoy the unique scenery that only rain can provide and feel the beauty of nature, which was a lot of fun. Canoeing while enjoying the forest bath was a great experience. I was able to fully enjoy nature that felt like it was far from Sapporo, and I was very satisfied. The staff were very kind and easy to talk to, which was great. I felt safe while experiencing canoeing. They taught us various things, and I learned that on sunny days, you can see fish, and the autumn foliage is also wonderful, so I would like to participate again.

娘とカヌー体験に参加しました。雨だったのでどうしようかと迷いましたが、思い切って参加して大正解！雨ならではの景色や、自然の美しさを感じる事ができ、とても楽しかったです。カヌーをしながら森林浴。札幌とは思えない自然を満喫でき、大満足でした。スタッフの方もとても親切で話しやすい方で良かったです。安心してカヌーを体験できました。色々な事を教えてくれて、晴れた日は魚がみれることや、紅葉の時期も素晴らしいとの事で、また参加したいと思いました。

The canoeing was very pleasant, blessed with good weather. There's no need to worry at all, even for beginners. All you can hear is the sound of the water and the chirping of birds, with the occasional sound of a train. It's a popular activity on summer Saturdays. They adjusted the departure time for us, allowing us to fully enjoy the Kushiro Wetlands without feeling the hustle and bustle of the busy season. The only disappointment was that we didn't see many animals. It seems that it's quite difficult during the hot summer months. I would like to experience it again in another season.

好天に恵まれて、とても気持ち良かったカヌー。初心者でも全く心配いりません。聞こえてくるのは水の音と鳥のさえずり。時々電車の音が。夏の土曜日で人気のアクティビティ。出発時間を工夫してもらい、繁昌シーズンを全く感じることなく釧路湿原も満喫しました。残念だったのが動物があまり見られなかったこと。夏の暑い時期ななかなか難しいとのことです。また、別の季節に体験したいと思いました。

The guide was rich in local color, kind, and enjoyable. We were able to see many eagles, red-crowned cranes, and Ezo deer. I was impressed by the grandeur of nature.

ガイドさんがローカル色豊かで又、親切で楽しかったです。
鷲、タンチョウ鶴、エゾ鹿もたくさん見れました。

There is a small stream surrounded by trees just a 15-minute drive from New Chitose Airport. True to its name, the water in the Mimikawa is clear, allowing you to see the bottom, where water plants sway and delicate yellow flowers, which I had never seen before, bloom on the surface (I learned that they are called "kōhone"). I had a refreshing experience floating along the gentle flow of the river, surrounded by the trees of the forest, while making friends with a family of swans and fish. The staff were also kind and provided guidance, allowing me to enjoy a wonderful time.

新千歳空港から車で僅か15分のところに、小さな木々に囲まれた小川があります。美々川という名の通り、水は透き通って底が見え、川底で揺れる水草や水面には見たことのない黄色い可憐な花が咲いていました（コウホネという植物だそうです）。白鳥の親子や魚と友達になりながら林の木々に囲まれた緩やかな川の流れに乗り、心洗われる体験をさせていただきました。スタッフの方も親切に指導してくださり、楽しいひと時を送ることができました。

I was looking for activities that I could do with my dog, and I found this canoe tour. Since my dog is a senior, I was a bit worried, but in the end, we were able to complete the tour without any issues. The meeting place was easy to find, and I arrived without getting lost. There are no restrooms nearby, so I recommend using the restroom before joining the tour.

Before getting on the canoe, we took some photos and received thorough explanations before setting off. We were fortunate with the weather; usually, there are headwinds, but we had a tailwind during our trip, and the guide mentioned we were lucky. It was a very rare experience to see a family of swans and a kingfisher up close.

It was my first time on a canoe, and I had so much fun that I want to do it again! The guides wore masks and made sure that the car was not crowded. I had a great time. Thank you!

ワンコも一緒に出来るアクティビティを探していて、見つけたのが今回のカヌーツアーです。
シニア犬なので少し心配はありましたが、結果的には問題なくツアーを終えることが出来ました。
集合場所はわかりやすくて、迷うことなく到着しました。近くにトイレはありませんので、ツアーに参加前にはトイレに行った方が良いと思います。
カヌーに乗る前に、写真を撮っていただき、丁寧な説明を受けて出発しました。天候に恵まれ、普段なら向かい風が多いようですが、ちょうど私たちのときは追い風で、ガイドさんにラッキーだねと言われました。近くで白鳥の親子や、カワセミを見ることが出来てとても貴重な経験でした。
初めてカヌーに乗りましたが、とても楽しかったのでまた乗りたいです！
ガイドさん達はマスク着用で、車の中も密にならないよう配慮してくださりました。

The world was so quiet that aside from the occasional sound of the paddle and the water, it felt as if all sounds were absorbed by the air. Sitting at the very front of the canoe gliding silently through the river, I was able to fully enjoy the nature of Kushiro.

Moreover, during the two-hour river tour, I encountered a white-tailed eagle, Ezo deer, and even a red-crowned crane that came out to the riverbank. The guide, who grew up in Kushiro, is a genius at spotting wildlife! He slowly turned the canoe and pointed out where the animals were. I had always wanted to try canoeing in Kushiro, and it turned out to be an experience beyond my imagination. I highly recommend it for nature lovers.

時折聞こえる櫂の音と水音以外は音が空気に吸い込まれているような静寂の世界。川の流れの中を音もなく進むカヌーの一番前に座って、釧路の自然を満喫できました。
その上、2時間程のリバーツーリング中に、オジロワシやエゾ鹿、
そして川縁に出てきた丹頂にまで出会えたんです。
釧路で育ったガイドさんは、生き物を見つける天才ですね!!
ゆっくりとカヌーの向きを変えて、生き物がどこにいるか教えてくださいました。釧路に行ったら是非、カヌーに乗ってみたいと思っていましたが、
想像以上に素晴らしい体験となりました。自然が好きな方にはお勧めです。

When it comes to canoeing, I had the image of navigating through rapid waters, which made me anxious as someone with a fear of heights... However, it turned out to be a very beginner-friendly course and I had a great time!

It was a last-minute decision to join the canoe tour, but the dress code was casual and there was no need for any special equipment, making it easy to participate.

The course leisurely progressed through the center of Jozankei, and combined with the beautiful weather that day, the scenery was stunning! There were no intense rapids to worry about, and the course was gentle enough that we could enjoy the views while paddling back along the same route.

Canoeing can be quite challenging for beginners, so couples should be careful to avoid arguments (it seems that fights often break out, haha).

During the course, we also had time to get out of the canoe and play in the river, which would be great for kids to enjoy as long as time allows. The instructor was very nice. Thank you!

I wanted to include an activity in my trip, and choosing the canoe tour was definitely the right decision!!! I was able to enjoy both the scenery and exercise at the same time, and it was a wonderful experience. I think the views would be even more spectacular during the autumn foliage season, so I definitely want to aim for that time and participate again! ^ ^

カヌーと言えば、TVでよく見るような急流を進むイメージで、高所恐怖症な私は不安だったのですが……
実際はとっても初心者向けのコースで楽しかったです！

急遽決めたカヌーツアーだったのですが、服装も自由で持ち物も特に必要なく、気軽に参加できました。

定山渓の真ん中をのんびり進むコースで、当日の快晴も相まって、絶景でした！
気掛かりだった激しい流れなどなく、来た道（川）を戻っていくくらいの穏やかなコースで、景色を十分楽しむことができました。

初心者にはカヌーの操縦がなかなか難しいので、カップルや夫婦の方は喧嘩にならないように注意です。（よく喧嘩が勃発するみたいです笑）

コースの途中で、カヌーを降りて川で遊ぶ時間も作っていただいて、子供がいたら（時間の許す限り）満足するまで遊ばせてもらえます。
インストラクターの方がとっても良い方でした。

Thank you for allowing me to experience my first canoeing adventure. It seems we were the first to enter the Kushiro River during that time slot, with no other canoes ahead of us! It was quiet and overcast, and we encountered many animals. We saw at least 15 deer, as well as a red fox, hummingbirds, and a mink. It was just wonderful. Thank you! It became the best memory.

その時間枠で、最初に釧路川へ入れたらしく、前を行くカヌー無し！、静かで、曇りで、どから動物に沢山会えたらしい。鹿さんだけで15頭はお会いし、他にキタキツネ、ハチドリ、ミンク、キタキツネと、もう最高でした。ありがとうございました！最高の思い出になりました。

I participated with my mother in her 70s. I was worried about whether it would be okay without much stamina and if we would tip over, but those concerns were completely unnecessary. They provided us with free raincoats and Crocs, so our clothes didn't get wet.

Since it was a windy day, we mainly enjoyed the calm Chitose River. The shimmering green surface of the water and the transparent riverbed seen from the bottom of the kayak were truly beautiful.

With the guidance of a friendly and kind young man, we got to experience a bit of an exploratory feeling, and it was great to briefly venture out to Lake Shikotsu at the end and enjoy the atmosphere of the lake. My mother was also excitedly paddling away and was really happy, saying she had a lot of fun.

There were only two groups participating, so the water was not crowded, allowing us to take off our masks and breathe in the fresh air. Of course, masks and sanitization were in place inside the store before and after kayaking for infection prevention.

I couldn't use the free bathing ticket for Marukoma Onsen due to timing, so I'll save that for my next visit to Lake Shikotsu. I would love to try kayaking and diving again at Lake Shikotsu when there's no wind.

70代の母と参加しました。
体力なくても大丈夫か、ひっくり返ったりしないか、など心配していたことは全く無用でした。カッパ上下とクロックスを無料で貸し出して頂き、私服が濡れることもありませんでした。
風がある日だったので穏やかな千歳川をメインに楽しみました。グリーンに光る水面や、カヤックの船底から見る透き通った川底は本当に美しかったです。
気さくで優しいお兄さんの案内でちょっぴり探検気分を味わえたり、最後に少しだけ支笏湖にも出て湖の雰囲気も体験出来て良かったです。
母も張り切ってグイグイ漕いで、本当に楽しかったと喜んでいました。
参加時は2組だけで、水上は密ではないためマスクを外して美味しい空気をたくさん吸えました。カヤック前後の店内ではもちろんマスク、消毒で感染対策してありました。
丸駒温泉の無料入浴券が、時間が合わず使えなかったので次に支笏湖に来た時のお楽しみにします。風のない時の支笏湖でまたカヤックやダイビングをしてみたいです。

It was my first experience kayaking, but I received a thorough briefing beforehand, and even after we got out to sea, the guide was very considerate, allowing me to enjoy it with peace of mind. I was surprised to see so many sea urchins and starfish clearly through the clear kayak. Unfortunately, we couldn't enter the Blue Cave, but the guide took photos for us and chatted casually, making it a very satisfying experience. After the canoeing, I was also recommended a place for sea urchin rice bowl, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious sea urchin from Shakotan.

カヤック初体験でしたが事前にレクチャーいただき海に出てからもガイドさんはとても気を遣っていただき安心して楽しめました。クリアカヤックからは海底がはっきりと見えるためウニやヒトデがとても多いことに驚きました。あいにく青の洞窟には入れませんでしたがガイドさんに写真を撮っていただいたり気さくにお話をしてくださり、大変満足いく内容でした。カヌー体験後、おすすめのウニ丼の店なども紹介いただき積丹の美味しいウニを堪能しました。

The meeting place is easy to find if you enter from National Route 36 and head towards Log House Hibi. If you go a little further along the road by the river across from it, you'll find a spot with boats.

After a brief explanation, since it was my first time, I had the guide accompany me to start. It seems that two people can go together, but in the end, it was a good decision to have the guide with us.

In the first half, we progressed along a wide river. The banks were lush with reeds, and the river surface was beautifully adorned with blooming yellow flowers of the water lily. The sky was high, and I felt a great sense of openness.

In the second half, the river narrowed significantly, and trees leaned in from both banks, creating a green tunnel as we moved along. It felt like we might collide with the shore if the guide hadn't been with us. We saw a heron flying and followed a kingfisher as we continued. It was very quiet, with only the sounds of birds. Since there were three of us paddling, we reached the endpoint in less than two hours. From there, we took a car through the forest back to the meeting place. The bumpy road added some thrill.

The guide was from Nepal, and it was enjoyable to hear not only about the river but also stories about Nepal. There were some troubles with the reservation, and the staff at Veltra worked hard to resolve them, but thanks to them, we were able to finish the tour in good spirits.

The parking lot at the meeting place only has a simple toilet, so it's better to take care of that beforehand, and be cautious of sunburn as there is no shade for the first 30 minutes.

集合場所は国道３６号線から入ってログハウスひびを目当てにするとわかりやすいです。向かいの川沿いの道を少し進むとボート付き場があります。
簡単な説明を受け、初めてなのでガイドさんに同乗してもらいスタート。二人でもよいそうですが、結果的には一緒に乗ってもらい正解でした。
前半は広々した川を進みます。両岸に葦が茂り、川面には満開のコウホネの黄色い花がきれいでした。空が高く、解放感いっぱいでした。
後半は川幅がぐっと狭くなり、両岸からは木々がせり出し、緑のトンネルの中を進んでいきました。ガイドさんが同乗していなかったら岸に衝突しそうな感じでした。アオサギが飛び、カワセミに先導されるように進んでいきました。とても静かで聞こえてくるのは鳥の声くらい。３人で漕いだので、２時間かからずに終点に到着しました。そこから迎えの車で森の中を走り、集合場所に帰ってきました。でこぼこ道でスリルがありましたよ。
ガイドさんはネパールの方で、川の説明のほかにもネパールの話も聞けて楽しかったです。
予約のトラブルでベルトラさんにはご苦労いただきましたが、おかげ様で気分良くツアーを終えることができました。
集合場所の駐車場には簡易トイレしかないので、トイレは事前に済ませておいたほうがよいのと、前半３０分は日陰がないので日焼けに注意が必要です。

I participated on July 18, 2020. The weather was clear and the waves were calm, making it a perfect day for kayaking. The water was so clear that I could see all the way to the seabed, and I was able to observe many sea urchins and schools of fish clinging to the rocks from underneath the kayak. Furthermore, inside a pitch-black cave that could only be accessed by kayak, I had a truly mysterious experience where only the seawater touched by the paddle glowed a bluish-white. The guide was also very attentive, allowing us to enjoy the experience without any worries, and I was able to receive photos of myself kayaking after the experience.

令和２年の７月１８日に参加しました。天気は快晴で波も穏やか、絶好のカヤック日和でした。海の透明度は海底までくっきり確認できるほど高く、岩場に張り付く沢山のウニや魚の群れの姿を船底から観察することができました。さらに、このカヤックでしか進入できない真っ暗な洞窟のなかでは、オールに触れた海水のみが青白く輝く、とっても不思議な体験をしました。ガイドの方も丁寧で、不安なく楽しむことができ、またカヤックを漕ぐ姿を写真撮影して体験後に頂くことができました。

I participated in the Blue Cave for the first time with a friend from Hokkaido! My friend from Hokkaido had never been to the Blue Cave either, and it seems to be a relatively new attraction.

The canoe we used wasn't a regular canoe; it had a transparent bottom, allowing us to see the many sea urchins below! There were really a lot of them, and I was surprised.

Since the day we went was during high tide, the water level was just high enough to enter the cave. Inside the cave, it was pitch dark, and we cautiously made our way in. The reason it's called the Blue Cave is that when you turn around at the entrance, you can see the beautiful blue surface of the water.

When you tap the water surface, the spot you hit glows a brilliant emerald green, which was absolutely stunning! We also saw many divers in front of the cave. The deeper parts of the cave can be accessed by diving, and I've heard it's very beautiful there as well, so I would like to try diving next time.

It seems that canoeing offers more freedom and allows for various activities, so if you're visiting the cave for the first time, I recommend canoeing as it's relaxing and enjoyable! I'm also curious about visiting the cave when the water level is low, so I would like to participate again.

初めて青の洞窟に北海道出身の友達と参加しました！北海道出身の友達も青の洞窟は行ったことがなく、わりと最近出来た名所らしいです。
カヌーは普通のカヌーではなく底が透明のカヌーで下にいる沢山のウニが見られました！
本当に沢山いてびっくりしました。
行った日が満潮だったため洞窟に入れるギリギリの高さでした。
洞窟の中は真っ暗で探り探り入っていき、青の洞窟と言われる由縁は出る時に洞窟の入り口側へUターンをした時に青い綺麗な水面が見られます。
水面を叩くと叩いた箇所が光るようにエメラルドグリーンに輝きとても綺麗でした！！
洞窟前ではたくさんのダイビングの人達もみかけました。
洞窟の深いところはダイビングで行け、そこもとても綺麗らしいので次はダイビングもしたいなと思いました。
自由度はカヌーの方が高いらしく色々いけるらしいので、洞窟に初めていくのでしたらカヌーはゆっくりできて楽しめますのでおすすめです！
また水位が低い時の洞窟もきになりますので、参加したいと思います。

I experienced sea kayaking in mid-July. The weather was perfect, and I was able to see the calm Shakotan Blue with no wind or waves. I entered the sea in a transparent sea kayak, and when I looked at the seabed, I was surprised to see sea urchins living among the rocks! Shakotan's sea urchins are famous, but I didn't expect to see so many of them. It's all thanks to the high transparency of Shakotan's waters.

The Blue Cave involves moving through a completely dark cave. Once my eyes adjusted, I tapped the surface with my paddle, and it turned a beautiful blue! The emerald blue surface glowing in the darkness was magical.

Our guide shared information about the characteristics of Shakotan's sea, recommended delicious sea urchin rice bowl restaurants, and pointed out sightseeing spots for later, allowing us to fully enjoy Shakotan.

It was great that we could also share photos taken during the sea kayaking, so we could keep those memories.

I had a very valuable experience and enjoyed it so much that I want to try snorkeling next time. Thank you!

7月中旬にシーカヤックを体験しました。
お天気に恵まれて、風と波がなく穏やかな積丹ブルーを見ることができました。
スケルトンのシーカヤックで海に入り、海底を見るとウニがゴロゴロと岩場に生息していて驚き！
積丹のウニは有名ですが、まさかこんなにたくさんのウニが見られるとは思っていませんでした。
透明度が高い積丹の海だからこそですね。

青の洞窟は、真っ暗の洞窟の中を進みます。
目が慣れた頃に、パドルで水面を叩くとキレイな青色に！真っ暗闇の中でエメラルドブルーに光る水面は幻想的でした。

ガイドさんからは積丹の海の特徴、美味しいウニ丼のお店、この後の観光スポットを教えて頂き、積丹を大満喫できました。

シーカヤック中の写真も共有してもらえたので、思い出も残すことができるのはいいですね。

とても貴重な体験ができて楽しかったので、次回はシュノーケリングもやってみたいです。

Although it was an experience affected by the weather, I can't say I was satisfied since we couldn't go out on the lake and the experience ended in just 30 minutes.

天候に左右される体験とは言え、湖に出れなかった上、30分で体験終了したので、満足とはとても言えませんでした。
