I was looking for a place to play in the snow near New Chitose Airport, and I visited North Snow Land in Chitose. It was helpful that there is a free shuttle bus from the airport and JR Chitose Station, so I could get there without a rental car. With easy transportation, we could start playing right away, making the most of our time.

When we arrived at the venue, it was covered in snow, giving off the vibe of a "snow playground." The powder snow was amazing and so fluffy. There were even deer!

We experienced tubing (sliding down a course like a slide on an inner tube), snow rafting, and cross-country skiing. The tubing was faster than I expected, and I was a bit surprised at first, but once I got used to it, I wanted to go again and again.

スノーラフティングはみんなで乗って引っ張ってもらってジェットコースターのような怖さと楽しさで、友達同士や家族だと盛り上がると思います。
歩くスキーは初めてだったんですが、意外と簡単で、軽く運動にもなりました。 寒さが心配でしたが、途中で休めるクラブハウスがあって暖まれるので、思ったより大丈夫でした。
手袋は濡れるので替えがあると安心です。雪の反射が強い日もあるので、サングラスやゴーグルがあるとラクでした。ウェアや長靴のレンタルもあるので、北海道の雪に慣れてない人でも行きやすいと思います。
雪の上のバナナボートは時間が決まっていて予約が必要なので、時間を確認しておくと安心です。全体的にスタッフさんの案内もスムーズで、初めてでも困ることはありませんでした。小さい子ども連れでも楽しめそうなメニューが多いので、家族旅行にも向いていると思います。

This time, we used it for a family trip with our elementary and middle school children. We came to enjoy the snow festival, but perhaps because it's a bit far from Sapporo city, there wasn't much crowding. It's also a short distance from the airport, as we arrived by taxi in less than 20 minutes.

We visited at the end of January with our family (with children in 5th and 3rd grade). We borrowed gear for the kids, changed in the locker room, and after leaving our luggage at the front desk, we were ready for some snow fun!

Since we live in an area where it doesn't snow much, the kids were thrilled! After playing on the snow tubes for a while, we moved on to snow rafting. It was much faster than we imagined, and bouncing around on the curves was quite entertaining! With the falling snow and the snow flying around, we were covered in white from head to toe! The wind was extremely cold, but the excitement outweighed the chill.

We also enjoyed the snow play area and cross-country skiing. In the snow play area, there were various molds to make snowmen, chicks, dinosaurs, hearts, and more, which had the adults getting into the fun as well.

In addition to the fun activities, the staff at every corner were incredibly kind and friendly, which was a nice touch. At the snow tubing, they not only showed us how to slide normally but also taught us fun ways to slide, like on our stomachs, backward, and while holding hands, allowing us to play dozens of times.

There were noticeable foreign guests arriving by large buses, but since we visited on a weekday, it wasn't too crowded, and we were able to enjoy ourselves.

It's close to the airport, and with rental gear available, we can go hands-free, so I would love to stop by again the next time we use New Chitose Airport!

遊びが楽しかったことのほか、どのコーナーもスタッフの方が非常に親切で、気さくに話しかけてくださったのも良かったです。
スノーチューブでは普通にすべるだけでなく、うつぶせ、後ろ向き、手つなぎなど楽しい滑り方を教えて頂いて、何十回も遊んでいました。

大型バスで来られてる外国からのお客様が目立ちましたが、訪問したのが平日だったのでさほど混雑は感じずに遊ぶことができました。

空港から近く、レンタル品もあって手ぶらで行けるので、また新千歳空港を利用するときは立ち寄りたいと思います！

I visited North Snow Land for the first time with my daughter. I participated in the special plan plus banana boat tour. To put it simply, the special plan was absolutely amazing! We could experience everything without limits, and even with some waiting, it was only about 5 minutes, so both my daughter and I felt no stress. In the morning, a brown bear appeared at Shiretoko Five Lakes, so we quickly changed our plans and went trekking in the primeval forest in the afternoon. I was a little nervous since it was my first trekking experience, but I walked along a pathless route in the great outdoors, experiencing an extraordinary space like never before! Along the way, a chipmunk appeared looking for acorns, and it was so cute. I was also able to see bear claw marks and footprints. We successfully completed the tour of Shiretoko Five Lakes in the afternoon, and I enjoyed the entire day! I was able to hear a lot from our guide, and it was really fun!

前日が雨であった為、少し不安でしたが朝から快晴であった為無事に参加する事ができました。
朝に知床五湖にヒグマが出没した為、急遽午後に予定していた原生林のトレッキングを行いました。
初めてのトレッキングで少し不安でしたが、今まで体験した事のないような大自然の道なき道を歩いていき非日常の空間を体験できました！
途中でシマリスがどんぐりを探しに現れてとても可愛かったです。
熊の爪痕や足跡なども見る事ができました。

I was a bit anxious about joining alone, especially with the recent reports of brown bear sightings, but walking with a group of about ten people led by Mr. Umebayashi, who has over 20 years of guiding experience, made me feel very secure and allowed me to enjoy the forests of Shiretoko.

Mr. Umebayashi, who is from Osaka, had an interesting way of speaking (in standard Japanese) that was both entertaining and informative, hitting all the right points and providing rich learning experiences. He guided us through the history of the Shiretoko forests, recent changes, and challenges, sharing many insights that I wouldn't have understood on my own, which left me very satisfied.

My understanding of Shiretoko has deepened, and I would love to come back with my husband next time. The atmosphere among the group was also friendly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. Thank you very much.

On my first trip to Shiretoko, I wanted to make the most of the opportunity, so I joined this tour (the Great Loop). The tour was very fulfilling as I learned various things about Shiretoko's history, geography, and flora and fauna. I felt a bit nervous when I was shown the fresh bear claw marks and feeding grounds, but I was able to walk for three hours with peace of mind alongside an experienced guide. While many people seem to walk without a guide, I was able to fully enjoy the great nature of Shiretoko that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise!

As shown in the photos, it looks quite beautiful when the weather is nice. It became a great memory.

2時間でカヌーの漕ぎ方〜解散 だったので実際には湖の上に1時間もいませんでした。
値段の割にはちょっと物足りないと感じました。
一日を長く楽しみたい人にはサクッとカヌーができるのでおすすめかと思います。
9時スタートの会に参加しましたが、陽の光が優しく気持ちの良い朝活になりました。

写真の通り、天気が良いとかなり綺麗に見えます。いい思い出になりました。
