The foreign guide was interesting and taught us very accurately. My first canoe experience was amazing. However, since the river was shallow, there wasn't much tension.

外国人のガイドさん面白かったし、とても的確に教えてくれました。初のカヌー体験最高でした。ただ、川が浅いだけに緊張感はあんまりありませんでした。

The guide's explanations were enjoyable, and I'm glad I participated in this tour. We were blessed with good weather, explored the grand loop, and were able to see the footprints of Ezo deer and claw marks of brown bears. Surrounded by wildflowers and primeval forests, I truly enjoyed the great outdoors.

I went on my first trip to Shiretoko and decided to join a tour to see the Shiretoko Five Lakes. Before departure, we received a lecture about how to avoid disturbing the bears and their habitats. During the tour, we were explained about various plants, mushrooms, and the actions left by bears and woodpeckers on the large trees. This helped me understand the ecosystem of this magnificent nature, and I was truly moved by the experience. Additionally, foreign guests seemed satisfied with the brief English explanations. Ayano-san, you handle various tours, don't you? I look forward to joining again next time! Thank you very much for this experience.

初めて知床旅行に行き、どうせなら知床五湖を見てみたいとツアーに申し込みしました。出発前に、このツアーの散策は熊のすみかにお邪魔する、熊の気に触ることをしないように、というレクチャーを受けてから出発、見たことのない草花、キノコ、クマやキツツキの大木に残した行動など要所要所で説明いただき、この大自然での生態系のイメージがわき、体験したからこその感動がありました。また外国のお客様も短い英語の説明に満足されていた様子でした、綾野さん、色々なツアーを担当されていらっしゃるのですね、次回もまたよろしくお願いいたします！この度はありがとうございました。

It was an incredibly enjoyable and wonderful experience that far exceeded my expectations! Unlike the Blue Grotto in Italy, which is relaxing from start to finish, the boat ride to the Blue Grotto here was thrilling like an attraction. I was able to enjoy both the mystical "stillness" inside the Blue Grotto and the "movement" of the attraction at the same time, which was fantastic. I will definitely sign up again when I visit Hokkaido!

予想を遥かに超えて楽しくとても素敵な体験が出来ました！イタリアの青の洞窟が最初から最後までのんびりになのに対して、こちらは青の洞窟に着くまでの船上がアトラクションのようなスリルがあって、青の洞窟の中の神秘的な『静』とアトラクションの『動』2種類が同時に楽しめて最高でした。
また北海道に行く際には申し込みします。

The guide was very skilled at storytelling. They explained things with humor and had a wealth of knowledge, making the three hours fly by. They carefully observed the forest while explaining and leading us, providing a sense of security without making us overly anxious in tense situations. I felt they were a trustworthy guide, which made the tour enjoyable until the end.

I would love to participate in the tour again when I visit Shiretoko next time; I’m really glad I joined this one. I traveled around Hokkaido and visited various places, but this tour left a particularly strong impression on me. Thank you for the wonderful memories of my trip.

(Additionally, at the photo spot of Shiretoko Five Lakes, the guide took pictures with each participant's smartphone, which was a nice service. It became a great memory. Looking at the photos, I noticed that they were not just taken randomly; the angles were thoughtfully considered, and I was once again impressed, thinking "Wow! They really know what they're doing!")

ガイドさんは話がとても上手です。ユーモアを交えながら説明してくださるし、知識も豊富で、3時間があっという間でした。
説明をしたり、先導しながら森の様子を注意深く観察したりされていて、緊張感ある場面でも必要以上に怖がらせないような対応で安心感があり、信頼できるガイドさんだと感じたからこそ最後まで楽しめたツアーだったと思います。
また知床に来た際は、ツアーに再び参加したいと思うほど、参加してよかったです。
北海道へは旅行で訪れて色々回りましたが、特に強く印象に残ったツアーでした。

(なお、知床五湖の写真スポットで参加者のスマホでそれぞれ写真を撮ってくださいましたが、そういったサービスも嬉しかったです。思い出になりました。また、写真を見ると、ただ撮るだけでなく、アングルなど工夫されているのがわかり、改めて"おおっ！(さすがだな〜！)"と思わせられました^^)

This was my first time in the Eastern Hokkaido region, and with almost zero prior knowledge about Shiretoko Goko, I decided to visit all five lakes. I joined a walking tour led by Ayano-san, which I was able to book the day before, starting at 3 PM.

I happened to be the only participant, so I enjoyed a one-on-one experience with Ayano-san, asking her various questions about Shiretoko Goko and her work as a guide while leisurely taking in the scenery. Ayano-san, a veteran guide, had a natural demeanor, and her love for Shiretoko was evident.

The day was clear and hot, with a maximum temperature of over 26 degrees Celsius, but once the tour began and we started walking through the forest, we were mostly shielded from direct sunlight, making it cool and comfortable. The lakes were, of course, beautiful, but I also vividly remember the reflections of the mountains on the lake's surface and the way sunlight sparkled through the trees in the forest.

Although I didn't see any bears, at the end of the tour, I was able to observe a mother deer and her fawn from above on the elevated wooden path for quite a long time.

The three hours flew by. Thank you very much.

初めての道東、知床五湖についての予備知識もほぼゼロのまませっかくなら五湖すべて訪れたいと思い、前日に予約できた15時スタートの綾野さんのウォーキングツアーに参加しました。

参加者はたまたま私一人。綾野さんにマンツーマンで知床五湖やガイドのお仕事のことなど色々聞きながらゆっくりと景色を楽しめました。ベテランガイドの綾野さんは自然体で、知床愛が伝わってきました。

当日は快晴で最高気温26度以上の暑い日でしたが、いざツアーが始まって森の中を進み始めるとほとんど直射日光が当たらず、涼しくて快適でした。
湖ももちろんきれいでしたが、湖面に反射された山々の姿、森の木々や太陽の光が森の中に射し込んできらきらしている様子も記憶に残りました。

熊を見かけることはなかったもののツアーの最後に高架木道で真上から鹿の親子を長い時間見ることができました。

3時間、本当にあっという間でした。ありがとうございました。

The captain is an interesting foreigner! The scenery is truly wonderful. It was a great experience! I can't say anything else. Why is fifty characters necessary?

船長は面白い外国人です！景色も本当に素晴らしい。いい体験になりました！他はなにも言えません。なぜ五十字で必要でしょうか。。。。。。。。。。

We started at 6 AM. The weather was typical for the Kushiro Wetlands, with some clouds and a bit of morning mist. We set off in a larger canoe for four people, along with our guide. The canoe tour lasted about two hours, and we enjoyed the wetlands without encountering any other canoes.

We were fortunate to encounter a herd of Ezo deer twice, and the guide brought the canoe within just a few meters of them. The guide, who has over 20 years of experience, conducted the tour without any other participants, and his extensive knowledge made the experience truly enjoyable.

早朝6時スタート。
当日は、雲りで少し朝霧も出ている釧路湿原らしい天候。
4人乗りの大きめのカヌーに我々夫婦とガイドの三名で出発。
約二時間のカヌーツアーでしたが、他のカヌーとは出会わず、我々だけで湿原カヌーツアーを楽しめました。

待望の蝦夷シカの群れにも二度ほど遭遇し、ほんの数メートルの距離までカヌーを寄せてくれました。
基本的に相乗りなしでツアー実施している この道20年以上のガイドさんで 知識も豊かで満喫できました。

I was able to fully enjoy the richness of nature. The guide was wonderful. The fellow members were diverse and it was fun. I gained a deeper understanding of what it means to properly respect the brown bear. It's a place you should visit at least once.

自然の豊かさがたっぷり味わえました。ガイドさん素晴らしかった。同行メンバーも多種多様な方々で楽しかった。ヒグマを正しく畏れるとはどういうことか理解が深まりました。1度は行くべき。

Although there were concerns about rain, fortunately, it cleared up. Additionally, there was no closure of the walking paths due to bear sightings, so I was able to walk the entire loop of the Shiretoko Five Lakes. The experience of walking through the magnificent forests of Shiretoko is exceptional. While walking, I took occasional breaks to learn about bears, birds, and Ezo deer, as well as various plants. It was a fruitful time, not only enjoying the beautiful scenery but also observing bear droppings and claw marks, and spotting ducks and Ezo deer in the distance.

雨が心配されましたが運よく晴れました。またヒグマ出没による遊歩道閉鎖ともならなかったため、知床五湖の大ループをすべて歩いてくることができました。知床の大自然の森の中を歩く体験は格別です。歩きながら時々小休止してヒグマはじめ鳥やエゾシカなどについて、また植物について説明を伺いました。美しい景色だけでなく、ヒグマの糞や爪痕を観察したり、遠くにカモやエゾシカを見たり、実り多い時間でした。

We participated as a family. The guide taught us a lot about the nature of Shiretoko and the pioneer era. Also, regarding the bears that have been frequently spotted recently, we felt a sense of security in case of an emergency. I'm glad we participated. We made great memories. Thank you.

親子で参加しました。ガイドさんから知床の自然や開拓時代について色々と教えて頂きました。また、最近良く出没している熊に対しても、もしもの場合の安心感が違いました。参加して良かったです。いい思い出ができました。ありがとう。

The walking tour flew by as we listened to the fun and detailed stories from our veteran guide.

Their knowledge about birds, plants, deer, and grizzly bears was impressive, and we were completely drawn into the conversation. My wife and I participated, and we were both very satisfied with the tour.

It seems there are times when a guide isn't necessary, but we felt that having a guide was essential.

鳥や植物、鹿やヒグマなどの動物達の知識も豊富でお話に引き込まれました。
妻と参加させていただきましたが、二人とも大満足なツアーでした。

ガイドさんをつけなくても良い時期もあるようですが、私たちはガイドさんは必須だと思いました。

The day after watching the Hanshin game at Escon Field, I was looking for a place nearby where we could go canoeing. I found out that they offer a two-hour course with pick-up from New Chitose Airport, so we signed up for four people.

The first hour was spent paddling on a large river, and the second hour was on a narrower river. This was our third time canoeing, but we particularly enjoyed the second half of the course, where we could really feel the abundant negative ions in nature. I'm glad we chose the two-hour course.

Along the way, we encountered swans and had a fun canoeing experience while listening to the sounds of the birds.

今回はエスコンフィールドでの阪神戦を観戦した翌日に近くでカヌーができるところがないかな？と探していました。
2時間コースなら新千歳空港からの送迎をしていただけるとのことで四人で申し込みしました。

最初の1時間は大きな川を、後半の1時間は細めの川を漕いでいくコースでした。
カヌーは3回目の私たちでしたが、特にマイナスイオンたっぷりの自然を感じられる後半のコースはとても気に入って２時間コースを選んで良かったなと思いました。

途中白鳥にも遭遇し、鳥の声を聞きながらの楽しいカヌーコースでした。

Private charter for two♡
The waves were too high, making the boat bounce, which added quite a thrill. The captain was a foreigner who spoke Japanese exceptionally well and even made jokes. He was handsome too. It might have been difficult to steer due to the high waves, but we managed to have a safe cruise experience for about an hour without falling off. I ended up with muscle soreness the next day from using muscles I don't usually engage (laughs). If I go again, I think I'll choose the handsome captain's tour. Please let me take some photos next time!

2人切りの貸切♡
波高すぎて、ボートが跳ねるので結構なスリリング感。
日本語が物凄く達者な外人さんの船長さん。ジョークもいいます。イケメンさんです。波高かったので、操縦難しかったかもですが、落ちる事なく、無事1hほどのクルーズ体験出来ました。日頃使わない筋肉の緊張などで翌日は筋肉痛です（笑）また行くことあったらイケメン船長さんのツアーにしょうと思います。今度はお写真撮らせてください

The guide's humorous explanations and the opportunity to learn about the nature of Shiretoko were wonderful. I would like to participate again if I have the chance. I made some great memories. I highly recommend it.

It was a three-hour tour, but we moved slowly while listening to the guide's explanations, so it felt like no time at all!
We explored the mysterious lake, enjoying the chirping of birds, the blue sky, the greenery of the trees, and the tranquility of the lake… it was such a wonderful time. There were traces of brown bears everywhere, and I was reminded that this is indeed their habitat.
They also lend you binoculars, so you can see the distant mountains, waterfowl on the opposite shore, and flowers. I highly recommend it!!

３時間という行程ですが、ガイドさんの説明を聞きながらゆっくりと進むので、あっという間でした！
神秘の湖を巡り、鳥のさえずり、青空と木々の緑と湖面の静けさ…とても素敵な時間です。いたる所にヒグマの痕跡もあり、ここはヒグマの生息地なんだと改めて実感。
双眼鏡も貸していただけるので、遠くの山々や対岸の水鳥や花々も見ることが出来ます。ぜひ、おすすめです！！

I went kayaking for the first time. The weather was great that day, with clear skies, and the lake was so transparent that I could see all the way to the bottom. I had never seen such a clear and beautiful lake before, and it was a wonderful memory as I was able to feel the nature around me.

行った日は、とても天気が良く快晴で湖の下まで透き通って見えました。
こんなに透き通って綺麗な湖は見たことがなかったし、自然を感じられてとても良い思い出になりました。

I visited at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. I was blessed with good weather and had a great time. The transparency was incredible. When you place your phone on the clear bottom of the kayak to take a video, it turns out beautifully. Thank you to all the staff!

It was a very good tour. I'm glad I participated.
I was a bit nervous since it was the bear activity season, but with the guidance of the experienced guide, I was able to proceed with peace of mind.

The stories about Shiretoko and the flora and fauna were very interesting. We discovered various things, including deer, insects, small animals, bear tracks, and claw marks, and I enjoyed learning about them. I don't think I would have noticed them on my own.

We participated in a 2-hour canoe tour in the Kushiro Wetlands. I joined with my mother, who is over 80 years old, and she was very happy. I was a bit worried because some other tours had an age limit of 80, but this one had chairs with backrests and we didn't have to paddle, so we could participate with peace of mind. We also saw a lot of animals, so we were very satisfied!

釧路湿原の2時間のカヌーを2人で参加させて頂きました。80歳を超える母と参加させて頂きましたが、母もとても喜んでいました。他の主催のツアーでは年齢制限が80歳の所があったので、少し心配していましたが、背もたれ付きの椅子でしたり、漕がなくて良かったり、安心して参加させて貰いました。動物もたくさん見られたので、大満足です！

There were nine of us in the group, many of whom were solo participants, but our guide answered each of our questions thoroughly. Along the way, we were fortunate to see a flying black woodpecker, which was truly a wonderful experience! The day before, I was worried about the closure of Shiretoko Five Lakes due to the appearance of brown bears, but on the day of the tour, I felt the guide's high level of crisis management skills, which allowed me to participate with peace of mind. The nature tour offers free rental of rubber boots regardless of the weather. Since there was a possibility of ticks and many sharp branches, the rental of boots was very helpful. It turned out to be an amazing experience that makes me want to participate many times in various seasons!

私を含めひとり参加が多い9名のグループでしたが、ガイドさんはそれぞれの質問に丁寧に答えて下さいました。
途中、運良く飛び立つクマゲラを見ることができて本当に良い経験になりました！
前日はヒグマ出現により知床五湖の封鎖があり心配していましたが、ツアー当日はガイドさんの危機管理能力の高さを感じられ、安心して参加することが出来たので良かったです。
原生林ツアーでは天気に関わらず長靴の無料貸出があります。
ダニがいる可能性や尖った枝木が多かったので長靴の貸出は助かりました。
様々な季節に何度も参加したいと思える最高の体験になりました！

At the beginning of June, I participated in the afternoon course. Since it was a weekday, there were few other people canoeing, allowing for a relaxed experience. Even without the early morning course, I encountered many animals and was very satisfied with canoeing under the clear blue sky. I felt like I was "hogging the breathtaking views!" and kept taking photos. During my first trip to Hokkaido, I was unsure which area to choose, but knowing that I could canoe in Kushiro, I made the perfect choice. The lucky sighting of a fluffy little fox was incredibly cute!

6月頭、お昼からのコースで参加しました。
平日だった事もあり他にカヌーをされている方も少なく、ゆったりと体験する事が出来ました。
早朝コースでなくとも沢山の動物に出会え、快晴の中のカヌーに大満足です。
「絶景を独り占め！」と言う感じでひたすら写真を撮っていました。
初めての北海道旅行でどのエリアにしようかなと悩む中、釧路でカヌーが出来ると知り釧路を選択して大正解。
運よく見る事が出来たコギツネがふわふわでとても可愛かったです！

I was very lucky to see deer, white-tailed eagles, cranes, and even baby red foxes! The canoeing was also pleasant and fun.

I was surprised at how much it has changed and how well it is managed since it became a World Heritage site! In the past, you could enter freely, and there were no guided tours. This time, there were four of us: two foreigners and my wife! Our guide, Ayano, explained everything in both English and Japanese, which I think was quite challenging. However, her explanations were easy to understand and very good. It also brought back memories from 40 years ago. Thank you very much.

I was also helped by the fact that they lent us rubber boots for free. If you apply on-site that day, it costs 6,000 yen. You should definitely book through Veltra. If you go to Shiretoko, it's a must-visit!

世界遺産になったら、こんなに変わって管理が行き届いていてビックリしました！
昔、入りたい放題で、ガイドツアーも無かったです。
今回、メンバーが、外国人二人と私の妻の四人でした！ガイドの綾野さんは、英語と日本語で説明されていて、大変だったと思います。でも、説明も解りやすくて大変良かったです。40年前の事も思い出しました。ありがとうございました
長靴も無料で貸して頂き、助かりました。
現地で当日申込みすると、6,000円でした。ベルトラで申し込んで行くべきですよ。知床に行ったら、絶対に行くべきです。

The weather wasn't great, but the guide was very knowledgeable, and I learned a lot. It had been 44 years since my last visit to Shiretoko, and I had previously traveled by boat from Rausu to Shari, so this was my first visit to the Five Lakes. I think if I visit on a sunny day next time, I'll encounter a different side of it.

天気は今一つでしたが、ガイドさんがとても博識で、大変勉強になりました。知床は、44年ぶりで、前回は羅臼から船で斜里まで渡ったので、五胡は初めての訪問でした。
次は、晴れた日に訪問すると、また違った顔に出会えると思います。

The weather was nice, the waves were calm, and we were able to enjoy the vibrant blue of the Blue Cave. The round-trip boat cruise was an attraction in itself, and the captain's unique commentary mixed with puns made for an entertaining tour that was quite addictive.

お天気も良く、波も穏やかで、青の洞窟の鮮やかなブルーを鑑賞する事が出来ました。往復のボートクルーズがアトラクションになっていて、船長のダジャレ混じりのユニークなアテンドがクセになる面白ツアーでした。

You can visit the boardwalk without a reservation, but the scenery is different, and the guide provides a wealth of information, so I recommend the ground tour. The day before, a brown bear appeared on the course, causing the tour to be canceled, but on this day, we completed it without any issues. Suddenly, we spotted a black woodpecker flying by, heard the call of a cuckoo, and just when I thought we could see Rausu-dake beautifully in the clear weather, when we arrived at the second lake, mist rolled in, creating a fantastical scene with the island shrouded in fog, making it feel like the season was changing.

木道は予約なしでも行けますが景色が違うのと、ガイドさんの解説が豊富なので地上ツアーがおすすめです。
前日はヒグマがコース上に現れてツアー中止になったそうですが、この日は無事完走。
いきなりクマゲラが飛ぶのを見かけ、ツツドリの鳴き声、晴れて羅臼岳がきれいに見えたと思ったら、二湖に来たときには霧が出て中の島が霧に烟る幻想的な景色となったりと季節が変わるかのようなツアーを楽しめました。
