I was taken care of by our guide, Taki. He explained how to wear snowshoes and the animal tracks very thoroughly. The drift ice and the waterfall were incredibly beautiful. Drinking coffee on the drift ice was a luxurious experience that I will never forget! Thank you very much!

I caught more fish than I expected, about 20 by myself, which was surprising. The guide was very kind and explained the fishing techniques in detail, which was helpful. The tempura was also fried on the spot and was very delicious.

予想よりいっぱい釣って、1人で20匹くらいでびっくりでした。
ガイドさんはとても親切で、丁寧に釣り方を説明していただき、助かりました。

I received a detailed explanation of the kind of places where eagles inhabit, and I was able to witness them in person. While searching for the eagles, I also had the rare experience of seeing wild foxes and ducks floating on the sea (species I had never seen before).

どのような場所にワシが生息しているか、丁寧にご説明を頂き、実際に目撃することもできました。ワシを探している間に野生のキツネや、海に浮かぶ鴨(普段みたことのない種)もみれたりと、貴重な体験をさせて頂きました。

I participated in the tour in early November, at the end of the season. There were many news reports about bear sightings nationwide, which made me anxious about signing up for the tour, but it turned out to be a great decision.

First of all, having a guide made a huge difference in terms of feeling safe. I was able to truly enjoy exploring the Five Lakes. Additionally, walking through the forest while learning about animal tracks and interesting facts about plants that we would have missed on our own made for a deeply meaningful experience.

It had rained the night before, and the paths were muddy, but the guide had prepared rubber boots for us, which was a big help. While it's easy to wish for sunny weather, the misty, cloudy atmosphere of the Five Lakes was also mysteriously beautiful, like a painting.

I would love to visit again in other seasons. Thank you!

シーズン最終盤の11月初旬に参加しました。
熊出没のニュースが全国的に多く、不安もあってツアーを申し込んだのですが、大正解でした。

まず、ガイドさんがいてくださると、安心感が全然違います。心から五湖の散策を楽しむことができました。
また、自分たちだけでは見逃してしまう動物の痕跡や、植物の豆知識を伺いながら森歩きができたことで、一層感慨深い経験となりました。

前夜に雨が降り、道がぬかるんでいたのですが、ガイドさんが長靴を用意してくださっていたので、助かりました。
晴天を望んでしまいがちですが、曇天の霧がかったような五湖も、絵画のように神秘的でした。

また他の季節にも訪れてみたいです。

The meeting place was a bit complicated and hard to understand.
The tour was fun! It felt like an attraction and was interesting!
The cave was quite beautiful!

The wind was strong, so I couldn't go to the lake. However, it was just the autumn foliage season, and the Chitose River was clear and enjoyable.

風が強くて湖には行くことができませんでした。
が、ちょうど紅葉シーズンで千歳川も透明度がよく楽しかったですよ。

The guide had 43 years of experience, making them a very knowledgeable and veteran guide! We were able to take a walk while listening to valuable stories about Shiretoko Goko, the surrounding flora and fauna, the environment, as well as the history of the land and interesting anecdotes, which made for a deeper experience of Shiretoko Goko. Thank you for kindly answering our questions and accommodating us for photos at various spots. I had heard that November in Hokkaido starts to get cold, so I was prepared, wearing a down jacket, a Heattech shirt, Heattech tights, and windproof pants. During the walk, I was warm enough to even break a sweat. The autumn leaves were still plentiful, allowing us to feel both the autumn and the beginning of winter. The guide also informed us about how bears behave during this time, which made us feel safe while exploring. I would love to visit Shiretoko Goko again in a different season to see the rich nature throughout the year. Next time I come, I would like to request a star tour. Thank you very much for your help. 知床でのガイド歴は43年にもなるそうで、非常に経験、知識のあるベテランガイドさんでした！知床五湖、周辺の動植物、環境はもちろん土地の歴史やこぼれ話まで、ためになる話を聞きながら散策ができ、より深い知床五湖体験となりました。こちらの質問や、写真スポットでの撮影にも気持ちよく答えてくださりありがとうございました。11月の北海道は冷え始めると聞いていたため身構えていましたが、ダウンジャケットにヒートテック一枚、ヒートテックタイツに防風パンツを合わせて行きました。散策中は汗をかくぐらいあったかく過ごせました。紅葉も十分残っており、秋と冬の始まりを両方感じることができました。くまへの対応、この時期は大体何してるよ、とかも教えてくださり安心して散策ができました。また季節を変えて四季折々の豊かな自然を見せる知床五湖を訪れたいと思いました。次来た時は、星のツアーをお願いしたいです。大変お世話になりました。2023年11月５日

At the end of October, I participated with my mother in her 60s.

In the morning at Shiretoko Five Lakes, we were able to see a lot of autumn leaves and wild birds. On the way, we also spotted bears searching for salmon and foxes from the car.

Our guide was very experienced and shared a wide range of information about bear ecology, wild birds, and the current state of Shiretoko Five Lakes.

For lunch, we ate at a restaurant recommended by our guide. The set meal was delicious! I also learned about various seasonal foods from Hokkaido, which was very informative.

In the afternoon at the primeval forest, we were able to see a herd of female deer and Ezo squirrels up close. There were explanations about mushrooms and trees, which were easy to understand and interesting. The view of the sea from the cliff was beautiful. Lastly, we stopped at a spot where we could see the sunset.

The guide mentioned that mid-February is the best time to see drifting ice, and I would like to see it next time.

10月末に、60代の母と2人で参加。
午前中の知床五湖では、紅葉と野鳥がたくさん見れました。移動途中の車内でも、鮭を探しているクマや、キツネを見れました。
ベテランのガイドさんで、クマの生態や野鳥の解説、最近の知床五湖の状態まで幅広くお話ししてくださいました。

お昼はガイドさんおススメのお店で食べました。定食が美味しかったです！北海道の旬の食べ物も色々教えて頂き、勉強になりました。

午後からの原生林では、雌鹿の群れや、エゾリスが近くで見れました。キノコや木の解説もあり、分かりやすく、面白かったです。崖からみる海が美しかったです。最後は、夕日の見れるスポットも寄ってくださりました。

2月中旬は流氷が見頃と教えくださり、今度は流氷も見てみたいです。

At Shiretoko Five Lakes, birdwatching was also a delightful experience. We were blessed with clear weather, and the views of Rausu-dake, Iouzan, and the surrounding scenery were magnificent. During the afternoon nature exploration, we missed seeing a chipmunk, but we did encounter a male and female deer chasing each other, as well as a red fox and an Ezo squirrel. Although we could only see the silhouette, we were also able to spot a black woodpecker.

Additionally, we were flexibly arranged for activities not included in the tour, such as observing the salmon catch and learning about salmon upstream migration.

This wonderful experience was made possible by our guide. They had extensive knowledge and eagerly answered our questions. Exploring with the guide was much more enjoyable than venturing out on our own. I feel it was a highly cost-effective investment. If you visit Shiretoko, I highly recommend utilizing the guide's services. October is considered the off-peak season, so it's also recommended for those who want to take their time sightseeing.

知床五湖では、野鳥観察も楽しい体験でした。また、晴天に恵まれて、羅臼岳や硫黄山、周囲の景色が素晴らしかったです。午後の自然探索ではシマリスを見逃しましたが、オスジカとメスジカの追いかけっこ、キタキツネやエゾリスに出会い、シルエットしか見えなかったもののクマゲラも見ることができました。
更にツアー内容にはなかった鮭の水揚げ見学や鮭の遡上の案内などフレキシブルにアレンジしていただきました。

この素晴らしい体験にはガイドさんの案内が欠かせませんでした。豊富な知識を持ち、質問に対しても熱心に回答をしてくれました。自分たちで探検するよりも、ガイドさんと共に探索する方が何倍も楽しめました。コストパフォーマンスの高い投資だと感じています。知床を訪れる際には、ぜひガイドさんの案内を利用してみてください。
10月は閑散期ということですので、ゆっくり観光したい方にもおすすめです。

We participated as a couple. The guide was very nice and taught us various things, making the tour enjoyable! We learned about the nature and history of Shiretoko. I think there were things I wouldn't have understood while exploring the Shiretoko Five Lakes alone, so it was definitely the right choice to rely on the guide!

The primeval forest tour was also a lot of fun! We were able to see the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula, and the scenery was amazing. During the tour, we learned a lot about the Shiretoko forest and the wild birds, which was very enjoyable! This time it was autumn, but I would like to know about Shiretoko in different seasons as well. If I have the opportunity, I would like to request the same guide again. I highly recommend the full-day tour!

In the morning, I thought it was a no-go because a bear appeared, but in the afternoon, it was delayed and turned out okay. I was glad to hear about the various efforts to protect the nature of Shiretoko. Finally, I was able to see a male Ezo deer. Thank you, guide!

午前に熊が出てダメかと思ったら、午後は遅れてOKとなりました。知床の自然を守る様々な取り組みを聞くことができて良かった。最後にオスのエゾジカを見ることができました。ガイドさん、ありがとうございました。

The trekking through the primeval forest was wonderful. As we made our way through the woods, magnificent scenery unfolded before us. The guide's explanations were also very interesting, and I had a great time.

またガイドさんの解説も非常に面白くて、楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました。

I had planned a walking tour of the Shiretoko Five Lakes, but we couldn't go on the scheduled tour because a bear was spotted on the course. However, the guide suggested an alternative location for sightseeing, and thanks to their guidance through the nature of Shiretoko, I had a wonderful experience. It was certainly very fulfilling, and if I hadn't requested the tour, I would have had to give up on seeing Shiretoko altogether, so I'm really glad I made the request. The guidance was also very thorough.

知床五湖のウォーキングツアーを予定していましたが、コース上でクマが目撃されたため、予定していたツアーは周れませんでした。
しかし、ガイドの方から別箇所見学を提案いただき、知床の自然を案内していただいたことで、素晴らしい体験をすることができました。
とても充実していたことはもちろんですが、ツアーのお願いをしていなければ、そこで知床の見学は断念しなければいけなかったため、依頼をして本当によかったです。
案内も非常に丁寧でした。

I signed up for the "Shiretoko Five Lakes Walking Tour - Full Lake Loop" for the first afternoon slot, but unfortunately, due to a bear sighting during the morning tour, all tours for that day were canceled. It's disappointing, but it's nature, so there's nothing we can do about it. In the meantime, while walking back and forth on the elevated wooden path, the guide's explanations were very interesting. Just when I thought we were done, we were informed that we would be exploring a different area, so I decided to join that.

As a result, it turned out to be quite enjoyable. The guide's explanations were clear and I really appreciated them. We got to see a waterfall and encountered wild deer, making for a unique experience that I wouldn't normally have. I definitely recommend participating in the tour at least once to enjoy the walk while listening to the guide's stories.

「知床五湖ウォーキングツアー 五湖一周」を午後一番の申し込みをしましたが、当日午後、ガイドさんの丁寧な説明があり朝のツアーから熊が出てしまいこの日はすべてのツアー自体が残念ながら中止となってしましました。こればかりは自然相手ですから残念ですがしょうがないですね。取り合えず高架木道を往復歩いている間もガイドさんの説明は非常に興味深いもがありました、これで解散かと思ったら少し場所は違いますがそちらを散策すると言う事なのでそれに参加致しました。
結果、それはそれでなかなか楽しかったです。なんと言ってもガイドさんの説明が分かりやすく非常に堪能させてもらいました。途中で滝？を見たり野生の鹿に遭遇したりと普段は経験できない散策で良かったですよ。
やはり一度はツアー参加でガイドさんの話を聞きながら散策するのも楽しいのでおすすめ致します。

It was a cloudy sky, but I was able to see a very beautiful crystal blue. The captain was also in high spirits, and it was a lot of fun.

曇り空でしたがとても美しいクリスタルブルーを観ることができました。船長さんもノリノリで楽しかったです。

I went to Tōro Station by rental car and parked in the free parking lot next to the station, where I met with the guide. I had a reservation for 12:00, but we departed 30 minutes late after meeting up. We had coordinated the timing and details via email in advance.

The day before the experience, it rained, so the water level was higher, but the current was calm, allowing us to paddle quietly. Since our timing was off by 30 minutes, we didn’t have to wait in line with other canoe companies. We paddled quietly in one canoe, and the guide explained that he would adjust our direction. On the day of the experience, we encountered a herd of Ezo deer, a kingfisher, a pair of red-crowned cranes, a white-tailed eagle, and even a red fox on the distant railway. We saw the herd of Ezo deer multiple times, and a mink crossed in front of our canoe. We were busy taking photos of the abundant wildlife, so I mostly left the paddling to the guide.

After the canoeing, we were taken to the Nihonmatsu Observatory. It felt like a viewpoint frequented by locals, and I don’t think there were any stairs. It was a small mountain, and it felt a bit desperate as we climbed, almost slipping on the slope. Once we reached the top and looked back, we were greeted with a magnificent view of the vast wetlands stretching far into the distance.

Both experiences were wonderful, but there was a massive mosquito outbreak, so insect repellent and long-sleeved clothing were essential. When we went to the Nihonmatsu Observatory, I changed into the rubber boots provided by the guide and wrapped a towel around my neck for complete protection. We were then driven back to Tōro Station, concluding the day. The guide was very friendly, and the conversation was interesting, making for a fun time. Thank you very much.

レンタカーで塘路駅へ行き　駅の横の駐車場(無料)へ停めて　ガイドさんと待ち合わせ　12時予約しましたが　30分遅れの出発で待ち合わせし出発しました　時間などの調整やり取りはメールで事前に打ち合わせしました
　
　体験前日は雨が降ったので水かさが増していましたが　流れは穏やかでしたので　静かにこぐ感じで進みました。
時間が30分ずれていたので 他のカヌー会社の方と並ぶこともなく　一艘で静かに櫓をこいで　ガイドさんが方向を調整するとの説明でしたが、当日は　エゾシカの群れやカワセミ、丹頂鶴のつがい、オオワシ、遠くの線路の上をキタキツネ、またエゾシカの群れ何度も遭遇、また丹頂鶴つがい、ミンクがカヌーの前を横切り、最後にエゾシカと盛りだくさんの野生の動物に遭遇し、写真撮影に忙しく　漕ぐのはほとんどガイドさん任せになってしまいました。

カヌーが終わった後は　二本松展望台に案内して頂きました　現地の人が行く展望台と言う感じで　階段はなかったと思います。小さい山で山肌を滑りそうになりながら昇るといった感じで　やや必死でした。昇りきって振り替えると　壮大な湿原が遠くまで見渡せて素晴らしい眺めでした。

どちらもとても素晴らしかったのですが　蚊が大量発生していて　虫除けと長袖服は必須で　二本松展望台に行くときも　ガイドさんが用意してくれた長靴にはきかえて　首にタオルを巻き完全防備で行きました。帰りは塘路駅まで送って頂き終了となりました。
とても気さくなガイドさんで　話す内容も面白く楽しい時間でした。ありがとうございました。

The weather was great, and it was the best experience. I think it's definitely worth a visit for anyone planning to go nearby. It didn't require much physical strength, so it felt like anyone could participate.

I participated in the 2-hour course. It was fun, as others have commented, but I found it to be harder than I expected. For a beginner in my 50s, it was quite tough, and I ended up with muscle soreness the next day. The detailed lectures were very helpful. I heard that the river conditions change depending on the season, so I would like to participate again if I have the opportunity.

The weather was favorable, and I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery. The guide's explanations at key points were clear and informative. If someone I know visits Shiretoko, I would definitely recommend it.

My long-awaited trip to Shiretoko began with a ferry ride to Shiretoko Cape on the first day. The weather was great, the waves were calm, and I was thrilled to see brown bears, Ezo deer, and even Kunashir Island clearly. The next day, I booked a trekking tour of the Shiretoko Five Lakes and the primeval forest, and it was fascinating to see the scenery from the cliffs after having seen it from the boat the day before.

On the morning of the tour, I was picked up at my hotel and we first visited the Utoro fishing port to observe the salmon being unloaded. I was really happy because I thought I wouldn’t have the chance to see this. It was truly impressive. I savored the salmon rice bowl for lunch with great appreciation.

During the trekking at Shiretoko Five Lakes and the primeval forest, I not only enjoyed the majestic Shiretoko mountain range and the tranquility of the lakes and forests, but I also learned a wealth of knowledge about flora, fauna, climate, and not just Shiretoko but also Hokkaido from our guide, Umebayashi. I had thought we would be walking while ringing bells, but instead, we enjoyed quiet conversations in a small group while feeling the breath of animals and the sounds of the wind and waves, making it a truly wonderful experience.

There were traces everywhere indicating that brown bears live right here, but fortunately, we didn’t encounter any and were able to complete the tour safely. I would love to come back in a different season. It was a guide tour filled with love for Hokkaido, not just Shiretoko. Thank you very much.

　念願だった知床への旅、1日目は知床岬までのフェリー、天気も良くて波も穏やか、ヒグマやエゾジカ、国後島までしっかり見えて最高でした。翌日に知床五湖&原生林トレッキングツアーをお願いしましたが、前日に船上から見た景色を今度は断崖絶壁の上から見ることができて興味深かったです。
　当日の朝はホテルまで迎えに来て頂き、まずはウトロ漁港での鮭の水揚げ見学へ。機会がないと思ってたので嬉しかったです。とにかく迫力満点でした。昼食の鮭親子丼は心して味わいながら食べました。
　知床五湖、原生林トレッキングでは雄大な知床連山、湖や森の静寂を楽しめただけではなく、ガイドの梅林さんから、ただ自分で歩きまわっても到底得られないような動植物や植生、気候、知床だけではなく北海道についてのたくさんの知識を教えていただきました。鈴を鳴らしながら歩くと思っていたので少人数で静かな会話を楽しみつつ、動物の息遣いや風や波の音を感じながらのトレッキングは本当に素敵な体験でした。
　ヒグマがまさにここで生きているという痕跡はそこかしこにあれど、幸い遭遇することはなく無事にツアーを終えることができました。また違う季節にも来たいです。知床だけでなく、北海道愛に満ち溢れたガイドツアーでした、ありがとうございました。

I participated in the shuttle service from New Chitose Airport. The meeting point was a bit hard to find, and the map provided had a low resolution, making it almost unreadable. It's located at the far end of the arrival floor on the JAL side, so it takes a little time to get there from the ANA side.

We practiced in a wide area of the river up to halfway, and the hour went by in no time, so if there are no constraints, I recommend two hours. The second half of the course has a narrower river width, and the current gets a bit faster, so you might get swept away a little. The river isn't very deep, so the danger level is low. It was a fun activity where you can enjoy the nature typical of Hokkaido.

新千歳空港送迎で参加しました。集合場所が少し分かりにくいし、こちらの地図が解像度低くほぼよめません。JAL側の到着フロアの端っこなんでANA側からは少し時間かかります。

スタート地点から半分までの川幅が広いエリアで練習、1時間はあっというまに終わりますので、制約がないなら2時間がおすすめ。後半半分は川幅も狭く、流れが少し早くなるので、少し流され気味になります。川はそんなに深くはないので、危険度は低いです。北海道らしい自然を味わえる楽しいアクティビティでした。

I visited at the beginning of September.
I opted for the full course because I wanted a pickup from Chitose Airport, and I'm glad I did.
In the beginning, I learned how to paddle a canoe while having a fun conversation with the guide, who also pointed out some yellow flowers that were still blooming in the river.
In the latter half, we navigated through a narrower river surrounded by trees like a jungle, and I enjoyed catching glimpses of kingfishers and hearing their calls.
In the jungle, I felt the temperature drop significantly, which was very pleasant.

They also took care of my flight departure and stored my large luggage, so I was able to relax and enjoy my time very much!

9月の頭に伺いました。
千歳空港から送迎して頂きたかったので、フルコースにしましたが、フルコースにしてよかったです。
序盤はカヌーのこぎ方を教えて貰いながら、ガイドの方と楽しくお話しさせて頂き、川に少し残ってた黄色いお花を教えて頂いたりしました。
後半は、少し細い川になったりジャングルの様に木に囲まれた場所を進ませて頂き、カワセミの声や姿をチラチラ見ることができて楽しかったです。
ジャングルでは、気温がグッと涼しくなったのを感じて、とても心地よく感じました。

飛行機の出立についても気にしていただき、大きな荷物も預かっていただけたので、非常に安心かつ楽しく過ごすことができました！

I went dressed in clothes that could get wet, and it was very helpful that they provided rental pants and Crocs. We walked to the experience location, but it wasn't too far, so it wasn't a concern. When we arrived at the kayak launch after going down a slight slope, I was impressed by the clarity of the water.

The operation of the kayak was easy, and I quickly grasped the technique. The instruction was thorough, and the explanations were very clear. I think it was great to experience kayaking because just looking at Lake Shikotsu from the shore doesn't allow you to notice that it's a lake formed by a volcano, or appreciate the beauty and coldness of the water, or the changes in its color.

The experience time was relatively long, providing ample time. I recommend kayaking for anyone in good shape visiting Lake Shikotsu. Finally, they sent us the photos we took via AirDrop. Our family of five, including a sixth grader, went, and everyone was very satisfied.

濡れても良い服装で行きましたが、ズボンやクロックスをレンタルしてくれて、とてもたすかりました。
体験する場所まで歩きますが、それほど遠くなく、気にはなりません。坂を少し降りて、カヤック乗り場に着いた時、水の綺麗さに感動しました。
カヤックの操作も簡単で、すぐにコツを掴めます。教え方も丁寧で、説明も大変わかりやすかったです。
支笏湖を周りから見ているだけでは、火山が作り出した湖であることや、水の美しさや冷たさ、水の色の変化などには気づくことができないので、カヤックを体験して良かったと思います。
体験時間も比較的長く、十分な時間でした。支笏湖は出かける人で、カヤックに乗れる体調の方なら、乗ることをお勧めします。

私達は小学6年生を含めた家族５人で行きましたが、みんな大変満足でした。

It was in the afternoon on the day of the walk, but I was worried about puddles since it had rained in the morning. However, I received a message from our guide, Ayano, via VELTRA about the rental of rubber boots, which made me feel relieved to participate. It seems that during the morning course, there was a bear sighting right after the start, so they couldn't go on the walk. In the afternoon, we were on a course that lasted just under three hours, and when we reached the area near Lake 4 (about an hour in), we received a report of a bear sighting and had to turn back. We were able to stroll along the deck walkway and see Lake 1, but I really wanted to complete all five lakes. Despite it being September, there have been bear sightings almost every day, and it seems there are too many this year. Weather and bear sightings are a matter of luck, so I would like to challenge this again someday. Our veteran guide, Ayano, was very friendly and made it a fun experience.

散策当日は午後でしたが、午前中に雨が降り水たまりなど心配でしたが、
事前にガイドの綾野さんからVELTRA経由で長靴の貸出の連絡が入り安心して参加できました。
午前中コースではスタート直後にクマ出没で散策できなかったようで、午後は3時間弱のコースで5湖4湖まできたところ（1時間ほどのところ）でクマ出没の連絡が入り引き返すことになりました。デッキの遊歩道を散策し1湖を見ることができましたが、5湖全部コンプリートしたかったです。9月にも関わらず、クマ出没がほぼ毎日で今年は多すぎるとのこと。
天気と熊の出没は運なので、またいつかチャレンジしたいです。
ベテランガイドの綾野さんはとてもフレンドリーで楽しかったです。

The weather was perfect after the typhoon. Thank you for accommodating the sudden cancellations and changes to our plans, as we initially had a reservation on the day of the typhoon.

台風一過で最高の天気でした。はじめは台風の日に予約していたので、急なキャンセルや予定変更に対応していただきありがとうございました。

This was the last leg of our whirlwind family trip to Sapporo. I was very satisfied that we could experience canoeing close to the airport within the time we had before our flight. Although there was some wind that day, our guide provided support, which made us feel at ease. In the full-course jungle area, we were able to see kingfishers flying close to the water's surface. It became a wonderful memory.

弾丸札幌家族旅行の最後の行程でした。
飛行機のフライトまでの時間で、空港から近いところでカヌー体験が出来てとても満足です。
当日は風があったけどガイドさんがフォローしてくれて安心でした。フルコースのジャングルエリアはカワセミが水面近くを飛んだりしているのを見れました。
とても良い思い出になりました。

Among the many tours that cover all five lakes of Shiretoko, I found and participated in a compact tour that visits two lakes. On the day of the tour, there were two groups with four participants. We were taught how to use binoculars and listened to a lecture at the field house before setting off. The pace of the tour was slow, and we occasionally stopped to learn about bear claw marks on trees, footprints, and droppings. These are things you would likely miss without the guide's explanations. Additionally, it's reassuring to have a guide when it comes to dealing with bear encounters. Fortunately, we did not encounter any bears, but we were able to see deer from the elevated walking path.

知床五湖すべてを回るツアーが多い中、二湖をコンパクトに回るツアーを見つけて参加しました。当日は２組４名でした。双眼鏡の使い方を教えてもらい、フィールドハウスでレクチャーを聞いた後、出発です。ツアーはゆっくりしたスピードです。時々止まり、クマが木につけた爪痕や、足跡、糞などを説明してくれます。これらはガイドに説明してもらわなければ見つけることはできないでしょう。また、クマに遭遇した時の対処についてもガイドがいると安心です。幸いにもクマには遭遇しませんでしたが、地上遊歩道の上からシカを見ることができました。

I participated alone.
I joined the guided tour because I was scared of brown bears.
In the morning, we explored the Shiretoko Five Lakes. I was nervous since a brown bear had been spotted the day before, but I was able to complete the tour safely. The Five Lakes with Rausu-Dake in the background were beautiful.
For lunch, we drove to a nearby shop at a roadside station and had some free time to eat.
In the afternoon, we walked through the primeval forest. We were able to enter areas that can only be accessed through the guided tour, where we observed Shiretoko's unique vegetation and wildlife.
The guide's explanations were very clear, and they answered questions in a friendly manner, which made it enjoyable.
I would like to use this tour again when I come to Shiretoko next time!

ヒグマが怖いためガイドツアーに参加しました。
午前は知床五湖の散策でした。前日にヒグマが現れたとのことだったのでドキドキしてましたが、無事ツアーを完遂できました。羅臼岳をバックにした五湖は美しかったです。
お昼は車で移動し、道の駅付近のお店で自由にとりました。
午後は原生林の散策でした。ガイドツアーでしか入れない場所を入ることができ、知床の独特な植生や野生動物を観察できました。
ガイドの方の解説がとてもわかりやすく、質問にも気さくに答えてくださり、楽しかったです。
次回知床に来たときも、利用したいと思います！
