I arrived in Otaru early in the morning and had some time, so I made a reservation. The captain's stories were very interesting! Depending on the weather, the return trip had some high waves, which made it feel like an attraction, and I really enjoyed it! I definitely want to recommend this to anyone visiting Otaru!

船長の話がとても面白かったです！天気にもよりますが、帰りが少し波が高くてアトラクション感満載ですごく楽しめました！

It was a quite chilly morning, but it turned into a clear day with the best scenery. The guide was also very kind and explained things well to the children, making it a wonderful memory. I would love to visit again to enjoy nature!

かなり冷え込んだ朝でしたが、快晴へと変わり、最高の景色でした。ガイドさんも子供にも優しく説明していただき、最高の思いでとなりました。また自然を満喫しに再訪したいと思います！

While we were moving towards Shiretoko Goko, our guide spotted a bear fishing in the river from a very far distance.

Even in the forest, we listened to the sounds of birds, including the calls of woodpeckers, and saw fox and bear droppings and footprints. We learned about the formation of the five lakes and stories from when people lived there, making for a fulfilling tracking experience.

It seems we spent too much time along the way and couldn't reach the last plan, but I was very satisfied. It was the best time.

I now want to visit Shiretoko in mid-winter as well. When I come to Shiretoko next time, I would like to request your services again. Thank you!

知床五湖へ向けて移動中に、すごく遠いところから川の中で漁をしている熊をガイドさんが発見してくださいました

森の中でも、狐のフンや熊のフン、足跡、キツツキの音など鳥の鳴き声をききながら、五湖の成り立ち、人が住んでいた頃の話等聞かせてもらい、充実したトラッキングとなりました

途中、長居しすぎて最後のプランまで届かなかったみたいですが、大満足。
最高の時間でした

真冬の知床にも来てみたくなりました。

I participated alone, but I felt at ease with a female guide. She taught me perspectives on how to view the forest, tips for nature observation, and ways to engage, which will be useful not only in Shiretoko but also in the future.

一人での参加でしたが、女性のガイドさんで安心できました。森の見方、自然観察の視点、関わり方など、知床以外でもこれから役に立つ知識や考え方などを、教えてもらえました。

I boarded the boat for the 7 AM departure. Fortunately, it was just my spouse and me, so we had the boat to ourselves. The foreign captain said, "You're lucky! Today, just the two of you will get to see the best crystal blue cave," and he set off a little earlier than scheduled.

He was truly skilled in conversation and consideration. During the trip, he provided detailed explanations while asking, "How are you feeling? Let's cruise in style!" He kept the atmosphere light and brought laughter while operating the boat.

Although the cave wasn't very large, the blue color of the sea sparkled beautifully at the bottom, creating a stunning crystal blue. I was deeply moved. I would love to make a reservation here again.

運良く、夫婦で貸し切り。
外国人の船長さんが、「ラッキーですね！今日はお二人で、最高のクリスタルブルーの洞窟見られますよ」
と、少し早めに出航してくれました。

本当にトークと気遣いが、上手な方で、
道中、詳しい説明しながら「ご気分いかがですか？では
カッコ良くクルーズしま～す！」と、
和ませながら、笑いをとりながら、運行。

洞窟内は広くはないものの、
青い海の色が底にキラキラ反射して、なんとも美しい
クリスタルブルー。感動しました。
またこちらで、予約したいです。

Since it was a solo trip for me, I chose a guided tour for the day. The guide was very knowledgeable, and I was extremely satisfied. Their gentle voice suited the forest perfectly. It's essential to have a guide in a forest that feels too daunting to walk through alone. I was surprised by the reason why bear bells were unnecessary. I'm grateful that the tour was conducted even though I was the only one who signed up.

一日ガイド付きコースを選択しました。ガイドさんの知識が豊富で大満足です。
優しい声が森に合います。
ひとりでは歩けないような森には必須ですね。
熊鈴が要らない理由にビックリでした。
ひとりしか申し込みがなくても催行していただき感謝です。

Although there were concerns about the rain, the weather was pleasant with the sun peeking out and then clouding over. The guide was attentive, and my first canoe experience went smoothly, allowing me to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jozankei, which is now adorned with autumn colors. I was able to take many photos of the red bridge and the autumn leaves that often appear in advertisements. The next day, it seems that the first snow fell at Nakayama Pass, but on that day it was still warm enough to comfortably wear sandals. I was also surprised to find that the turnaround point for the canoe had a hot spring, where I could pleasantly dip my feet.

雨が心配されたが、お日様が顔を出したり曇ったりの気持ちのいい天気。ガイドも丁寧で初めてのカヌーは順調で、定山渓の今や盛りの山粧う情景を満喫する。広告によく出てくる赤い橋と紅葉の写真もたくさん撮れた。翌日は中山峠に初雪が降ったそうだが、当日はまだ暖かくサンダルで問題無く行けた。カヌーの折り返し場所ば温泉が出ているのか気持ち良く足を入れられたのも驚きだった。

I was worried about whether the event would take place due to the uncertain weather, but it went ahead safely, and I was able to see wonderful scenery. Thanks to the boatman's stories, I had a great time during the journey.

天候が怪しく決行されるか不安でしたが、無事に決行され素晴らしい景色を見せてもらえました。
船頭さんのお話のお陰で移動中も楽しく過ごせました。

The rough driving made me seasick. I was scared because of the Shiretoko incident as well. Safe driving is the most important. I do not recommend it.

荒い運転で、船酔いしました。
知床事件もあったので、怖かったです。
安全運転が一番です。
おすすめはしません。

Perhaps due to the weather conditions leading up to our visit, the cave was emerald green instead of blue. However, the captain's engaging talk kept us entertained, and the children were very satisfied. I would love to visit again on a day when it looks blue.

前日までの天候の影響なのか、青ではなくてエメラルドグリーンの洞窟だったんですが、船長さんのトークで退屈する事もなく、子供たちも大満足でした。
青く見える日にもまた行ってみたいなと思います。

The transparency is wonderful, and you can see all the way to the bottom. Even for beginners, the instructions are easy to understand, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind. You can fully enjoy the great outdoors. The guide, "Ai," was a very lovely person.

They also have strong infection control measures in place. You can remove your mask while on the kayak.

They provide free rental of rain jackets (top and bottom), boots, and floating vests, so no special preparation is necessary.

The guide prepared a whiteboard for us, as we have hearing difficulties, and wrote explanations for us as needed. They took us around at our own pace, so we didn't get tired physically, and the two hours flew by. Also, since Shiretoko Five Lakes is known for sightings of brown bears, there was an incident the day before when a bear appeared and the walking path was closed, but it was reopened by the morning of our tour, and everything went smoothly. Overall, I highly recommend this tour! 😊

耳の不自由な私たちのためにガイドさんがホワイトボードを用意して下さり、説明を都度書いて案内して下さいました。私たちのペースに合わせてのんびり周ってくださったので、体力的にも疲れず、あっという間の2時間でした。また知床五湖はヒグマが出るということで、前日にヒグマが出没して遊歩道が閉鎖されるハプニングがありましたが、当日朝には開放されて無事にツアー催行されました。とにかくおススメのツアーです(^^)

It was a 3-hour course, but I enjoyed it so much that it felt like it ended in no time. I was able to learn a lot of things I had never known before by listening to the guide's stories. I even got to see bear footprints! I think this is something we wouldn't have noticed on our own. We were lent binoculars and rubber boots, which allowed us to comfortably explore Shiretoko Five Lakes. I enjoyed the untouched nature with all my senses and felt the grandeur of Hokkaido's natural beauty. It's a tour I would love to participate in again!

3時間のコースでしたが、あっという間に終わってしまうほど楽しめました。ガイドさんのお話を聞き、今まで全く知らなかったことをたくさんまなぶことができました。なんと熊の足跡も見ることが出来ました！これは自分たちだけではなかなか気づくことができないものだったと思います。双眼鏡や長靴もかしていただき、快適に知床五湖を巡ることができました。手付かずの自然を五感で楽しみ、北海道ならではの自然の雄大さを感じることができました。また、参加したいと思えるツアーです！

I was able to make a day trip from Tokyo. It took 40 minutes by rental car from New Chitose Airport. The weather was perfect, and Lake Shikotsu was truly beautiful. The water was very clear, and you could see underwater from the clear kayak. It was lovely to see the water change from emerald to deep blue.

When the mountains are covered in autumn leaves, it has a different kind of beauty, and at night, the starry sky is magnificent, as our guide Ryo told us. On the way back, we stopped at Marukoma Onsen and felt refreshed. I want to come back again!

東京から日帰りできました。新千歳空港からレンタカーで40分。
お天気も最高で支笏湖は本当に綺麗でした。透明度も高く、クリアカヤックからは水の中が見えます。エメラルドから深い青色に水の色が変化するのも素敵でした。
山々が紅葉したらまた別の美しさ、夜は満天の星空、とガイドのりょうさんが教えてくれました。帰りは丸駒温泉に入ってさっぱり。また来たいです！

We participated as a couple on October 9, 2022. Since it was muddy from the rain the day before, we were lent rubber boots. Shortly after entering the Great Loop of the Five Lakes, we received information about a sighting of a brown bear and decided to turn back. Instead of taking the elevated path, they guided us to a location we were scheduled to visit in the afternoon of the one-day tour. We were able to learn about plants, animals, and the history of Shiretoko, making it a meaningful tour. By the afternoon, the walking path at the Five Lakes was reopened, allowing us to explore on our own. As a result, we were able to enjoy nature in Shiretoko at two different locations.

2022/10/9に夫婦で参加しました。前日の雨でぬかるんでいるとのことで、長靴貸していただきました。
五湖の大ループに入って少し行ったところでヒグマ目撃情報があり、引き返すことに。高架道のほうを回るのかと思ったら、1日ツアーの午後に行く予定の場所を案内してくださいました。植物・動物・知床の歴史など聞くことができ、有意義なツアーでした。
五湖のほうは午後には遊歩道が解除され、自分たちで回ることができたので、結果的に2箇所も散策ができ知床の自然を漫喫できました。

The color of the sea in the Blue Cave was incredibly beautiful, and I'm really glad I got to see it. However, the boat ride was a bit rough, and I was disappointed that I couldn't take photos from the sea along the way. The captain's talk was earnest, which I appreciated.

青の洞窟の海の色は最高に美しくて、本当に見れて良かったです。ただ、ボートの運転が荒くて写真を撮りたかったのに、途中の海からの写真が撮れなくて残念でした。船長のトークは一生懸命な感じで好感は持てました。

I had always wanted to go after seeing it on TV. I was a bit anxious about the boat cruise as a solo traveler, but thanks to the captain's knowledgeable guidance and skillful navigation, it turned into a fun attraction. The boat is designed to protect against rain and wind, but there is also an open deck. Cruising while sitting in a deck chair felt luxurious. Although the weather was cloudy, the blue of the sea at the Blue Cave was beautiful, and I took many photos that became lasting memories. Thank you very much. Since the departure point is in Otaru, I also enjoyed the city, making it the best day ever.

テレビで見ていつか行きたいと想っていました。一人旅でのボートクルーズは少し不安がありましたが、船長さんの知識豊富なガイドと操縦さばきで楽しいアトラクション状態になりました。ボートは雨風にさらされないようになっていますがオープンデッキもあります。デッキチェアーに座ってのクルージングもリッチです。お天気が曇りでしたが、青の洞窟の海の青さは美しく写真も沢山撮りましたが心にずっと残る思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。また発着場所が小樽なので小樽の街も楽しめ最高の１日となりました。

I was a bit nervous about joining a tour with other participants, but those worries quickly faded away. The pace of the tour was well-maintained, and the guide provided detailed explanations about everything. They were also very open to questions and expanded on topics, teaching us a lot. When I was so moved that I stopped to take it all in, the guide naturally adjusted the pace and included little anecdotes to ensure everyone in the group stayed engaged. I participated in a one-day course during my first visit to Shiretoko, and I’m really glad I did. The group had participants of various ages, but we all enjoyed and appreciated Shiretoko throughout the day! Thank you, Kanako!

他の申し込み者さんと一緒に巡るツアーということもあって少しドキドキしていましたが、そんな不安もなんなその。コースを巡るペースは乱さず、細かなところまで丁寧に説明していただきました。質問にも快く答えてくれた上そこからさらに話を広げてたくさんのことを教えてくださいました。感動してつい立ち止まってしまったり見入ったりするとナチュラルにペースを落としたり小話を入れるなどして、グループ全員が飽きることないように全体へ目を行き届かせながら一日案内してくださいました。今回初めて知床にきてツアーに参加させていただきましたが、1日コースに参加して本当によかったです。参加年代も様々なグループでしたが終始楽しく知床を堪能できました！かなこさん！ありがとうございました！！

Initially, we thought it would be better not to venture into Shiretoko on our own since we were unfamiliar with the area, so we decided to book a tour. Ultimately, it was not only safe, but we were also able to visit places we wouldn't have been able to go to by ourselves, and we learned many things that we wouldn't have noticed if we had just wandered around. It was a very meaningful experience.

Additionally, the guide was extremely courteous. We received a notification the day before that the ground walking paths might be closed due to strong winds, but on the day of the tour, it was somehow able to proceed, and there were only the two of us participating. In the morning, we explored the Five Lakes, and in the afternoon, we toured the primeval forest of Shiretoko, learning about its history and future aspirations, which was a very luxurious time.

The ground walking path at the Five Lakes was almost like a private tour, allowing us to learn more than usual. There was a radio call about a sighting of a brown bear, and entry was prohibited from that point until the afternoon, but we were lucky enough to complete our tour.

In the primeval forest, we asked various questions about the vegetation and animals. Due to the strong winds, we couldn't see any animals, but it was fascinating to learn about their traces. Also, the strong winds brought sea foam flying in like snow, which was beautiful in its own way.

Next time, I would like to try again at a time with better conditions.

最初は知床に不慣れな自分たちだけで立ち入らないほうが良いだろう、という考えからツアーを申し込みました。結果的には安全はもちろん、自分たちだけではいけなかった場所に行けたり、いろいろ教えて頂いて単純に回っていたら気づかなかったことに気づけたり、非常に有意義な体験でした。
また、ガイドの方の対応も非常に丁寧でした。
前日に強風の影響で地上遊歩道の閉鎖が懸念されるという連絡を頂きましたが、当日は何とか開催でき、参加者は私たち夫妻だけ。午前は五湖、午後は知床の原生林を回り、歴史や将来目指す姿などいろいろ教えて頂き、非常に贅沢な時間でした。
五湖の地上遊歩道はほぼ貸し切りのような状態で回ることができ、通常よりいろいろ教えて頂けたかと思います。ヒグマが目撃されたという無線が入って途中から午後まで入場禁止になりましたが、私たちは運よく回り切れました。
原生林は植生についてや動物についていろいろ伺いました。強風は条件が悪いということで動物自体を見ることはできませんでしたが、痕跡を教えて頂いたり興味深かったです。また、強風で海から波の花が雪のように飛んできて、これはこれできれいでした。
今度は条件の良いタイミングでリベンジしたいと思います。

【Impressions】
I thought the experience named "Lake Shikotsu Kayak Experience" would take place on Lake Shikotsu, but it was actually a kayaking experience on Chitose River.
I was worried about being able to operate the kayak, but as I got used to it, I was able to steer it in the direction I wanted, which was fun. (The lecture was thorough, so I felt at ease.)
Since the experience started at 15:30, kayaking while watching the sunset was the best.

【感想】
「支笏湖カヤック体験」の名称なので、支笏湖でカヤックをやるかと思っていましたが、千歳川でのカヤック体験でした。
操船できるか心配でしたが、慣れてくると思った方向に動かせるようになって楽しかったです。（レクチャーも丁寧なので安心でした）
15：30からの体験だったので、夕日を見ながらのカヤック体験は最高でした。

　

The foreign captain's guide at Kanahide Marine was filled with puns that made me laugh. The special service the captain mentioned and the way he handled the boat were incredibly fun.

カナヒデマリンの外人船長のガイドがダジャレまじりで笑ってしまいました。
船長がいうスペシャルサービス、船の操縦さばきが最高に楽しかったです。

The scenery was beautiful. The guide was very kind and taught us about the habits of the animals and plants living in the primeval forest while we were walking, which was very educational.

景色が綺麗でした。
ガイドさんはとても親切でした。原始林に生息してる動物や植物の習性について、散策しながら教えて頂き、勉強になりました。

It was different from what I initially thought, and I realized it was a 25-minute walk away. Feeling a bit desperate, I contacted them to say I might be late, and they kindly reassured me that it was okay. I gathered myself and managed to board the ship. Sitting in the co-captain's seat, it was an attraction like no other! The captain's talk was enjoyable, and the charm of the scenery was doubled!

最初思ってた場所と違って、徒歩25分も離れたところとわかり、絶望的な気分になりながら、遅れるかもと連絡したら、とてもあったかい感じで大丈夫ですよーと言って頂き、気を取り直してなんとか乗船。副船長の席で、もう経験したことのないアトラクションでした！船長のトークも楽しくて、景色の魅力も倍増しました！

You can hear various explanations about the nature of Shiretoko from the guide. I think it would be enjoyable to walk while taking in the scenery without explanations if the weather is nice, but when I visited, the weather was not great and the scenery was also lacking. However, it was good to be able to walk while listening to various explanations. In the afternoon, I believe you couldn't enter the Shiretoko primeval forest without a guide, but the weather improved, and I was able to see the wonderful Okhotsk Blue scenery.

ガイドさんから知床の自然に関する説明が色々聞けます。お天気が良ければ、説明なしに景色を見ながら歩いても楽しいとおもいが、私が訪れた時はイマイチなお天気で景色もイマイチでしたが、色々な説明聞きながら歩けたので良かったです。
午後の知床原生林は、ガイドさんなしでは入れなかったとおもいし、お天気も快復して、素晴らしいオホーツクブルーの景色を観ることができました。

I was wondering how the start would go since we couldn't begin the reception until the scheduled time. Also, I was quite concerned about the water clarity due to the heavy rain the day before. However, once we started, I forgot all about that and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the pleasant experience!

時間まで受付開始出来なかったのでスタートはどうなることかなと思いました。
また前日雨が多く降っていたこともあり水の透明度もとても不安でした。
ただスタートしたらそんなこと忘れるような綺麗さ、気持ちよさで楽しめました！

I signed up for the two-hour course despite being a beginner. I thought that if I chose the half course, it would end just when I was getting used to it. In the end, the two hours flew by, and it was so much fun that it ended before I knew it. Since I wanted to enjoy the canoe experience, I prepared by watching YouTube videos on how to paddle at Bibigawa before going, and I received compliments from the guide for being skilled. The tour description mentioned swans, but it seems to depend on the season; we were able to see a kingfisher, which was a beautiful blue. Although the water wasn't crystal clear, the presence of the kingfisher suggests that the water must be clean. The guide also mentioned there were wild grapes, and when I expressed my desire to try them, he picked some for me. They were incredibly sour and had a lot of seeds, but it was a great experience. The sky was beautiful, and when I handed my smartphone to the guide, he took some pictures for me.

素人にも関わらず2時間コースに申込。
ハーフだと慣れた頃に終わるのはやだなと思ったからです。
結果は2時間でもあっと言う間で楽しい楽しいのあいだに終わっちやいました。
カヌー体験に申し込んたからには楽しみたいと家に居る時からYou Tubeで美々川（びびがわ）カヌーで漕ぎ方を予習して臨み、ガイドさんから上手だとお褒めの言葉をいただきました。
ツアー説明に白鳥と書いてありましたが時期にもよるみたいです、私達はカワセミを見ることができました、きれいなブルーでした、水は澄んでいるわけではなかったけどカワセミが住んてるということはきれいな水なんでしょうね。
あとガイドが山葡萄がある言うので食べたいというと採ってくれました、めちゃめちゃ酸っぱいし種が多いけどいい経験ができました。
空もきれいでガイドさんにスマホを渡すと写真も撮ってもらえます。

It was a day with on-and-off rain, but during our experience, the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy it. Although there were waves at Lake Shikotsu, we were able to enter the water a little while being mindful of safety. The highlight was the Chitose River. The water was clear, and we could see blooming plants and decaying trees. Thanks to our guide's careful instructions, I was able to paddle well even though it was my first time kayaking. It was fun to talk about the guide's love for Lake Shikotsu and various gourmet foods in Hokkaido.

This became one of my enjoyable memories from summer vacation. I'm glad I made a reservation with Ocean Days. Thank you!

雨が降ったり止んだりの日でしたが、体験時間帯は雨が止んで楽しむことができました。支笏湖は波が立っていたのですが、安全に配慮しながら少しだけ入ることができました。メインは千歳川。水がクリアで花が咲いている植物や朽ちない木などを見ることができました。ガイドさんが丁寧に教えてくれたおかげでカヤック初体験でも上手に漕ぐことができました。ガイドさんの支笏湖愛や北海道のグルメなど色々お話できて楽しかったです。
夏休みの楽しい思い出のひとつになりました。

The weather was nice, and the lake was clear and much more beautiful than I imagined. I was very satisfied to see fish in the river! The only regret I have is forgetting to put sunscreen on my legs. I would like to participate in the winter as well!

The captain was a foreigner, but his Japanese was really good! Moreover, his talk was interesting, making it the best cruise ever. It felt like being on an attraction while he skillfully navigated the waves. The staff at the reception (also foreign) were very beautiful and fluent in Japanese. It's a tour that makes you want to repeat it!

外国人の船長さんでしたが、めっちゃ日本語もお上手‼️しかも、トークが面白く最高のクルーズでした♪まるで、船でのアトラクションに乗っているように波をを操りながらの運転は、迫力満点受付のスタッフの方(外国人)も、とてもお綺麗で日本語堪能。リピートしたくなるツアーです。
