I only have happy memories from start to finish!
Needless to say, the nature of Iriomote Island is wonderful and very fascinating.
The staff members are very kind and share valuable information to ensure a meaningful experience.
With people from different backgrounds and ages, I was able to feel a sense of unity through our shared experiences, which is something I wouldn't normally encounter.

I participated in a mangrove kayak tour and a visit to Yubu Island!
The mangroves were surrounded by trees on both sides, making the waterways narrow, which gave a thrilling sense of adventure and was really enjoyable.
I got stuck in the mangroves a few times, but our guide, Rui, kindly helped me out and provided just the right amount of advice.
The visit to Yubu Island was great because we got to ride water buffalo to the island, which is an experience you don't usually get.
I had a fun day overall. Thank you!

I wanted to experience snorkeling in the morning when the waves were calm, but it was scheduled for the afternoon. The waves were high in the afternoon, and my child was scared, so we couldn't do it well. Other participants also mentioned that the waves were calm in the morning. The guide for the Pisainara Falls also felt rushed, which was disappointing.

The first thing that caught my eye was the strong mangrove forest with its deeply rooted trees. The countless roots stretching out from the mud looked like living sculptures, and I felt the resilience of nature. As I paddled along the water's surface, branches and leaves spread out on both sides, making it feel like I was rowing through a green tunnel. The breeze was gentle, and every time I looked up at the sky, the bright blue and white clouds were stunning.
The guide was really kind, and their explanations were clear and interesting! They talked about the nature and wildlife of Iriomote Island in a fun way, providing not just beautiful scenery but also plenty of learning opportunities. I felt a sense of security, which allowed me to relax and enjoy canoeing even as a first-timer.
As I glided over the calm water, I was enveloped in a feeling of "time flowing slowly," something I can't experience in my daily life, and I felt truly refreshed. Being healed by the energy of nature and encountering views that can only be seen here was a truly special experience.
The great nature of Iriomote Island was amazing! I want to go again! ^_^
最初に目に飛び込んできたのは、力強く根を張ったマングローブの森。泥の中から無数に伸びる根っこはまるで生きている彫刻みたいで、自然のたくましさを感じました。水面を進んでいくと、両脇から覆いかぶさるように枝葉が広がって、まるで緑のトンネルの中を漕いでいるみたい。風も穏やかで、時々空を見上げると真っ青な空と白い雲が映えて最高でした。

I was able to go to Barasu Island, which I had wanted to visit for a long time, and I was deeply moved! Initially, the plan was to land by boat, but I received a call the day before saying that due to the tides, we couldn't land by boat and had to choose between snorkeling to get there or giving up on Barasu Island and going to Yufu Island instead (there was originally a note about the possibility of changing the tour).
Since I have children and had never been to a place where I couldn't touch the bottom, I was anxious about snorkeling, but our guide, Toshi, kindly explained everything over the phone, which I really appreciated. In the end, I was glad I chose snorkeling. I got to see a lot of fish in the beautiful sea, and I was able to go to Barasu Island as well.
The mangrove canoeing was also fun, as we could all ride together as a family of five, and it felt like an adventure. I would like to join Toshi's tour again next time!

当初は船で上陸するプランでしたが、前日に電話があり潮の関係で船では上陸できず途中からシュノーケリングで向かうか、バラス島は諦めて由布島に行くか選んでくださいとのことでした（ツアー変更の可能性については元々記載がありました）
子供もおり、足がつかない所に行ったことがなかった為シュノーケリングに不安がありましたがガイドのトッシーが電話で丁寧に説明してくださりありがたかったです。結果、シュノーケリングを選んで良かったです。綺麗な海で魚をたくさん見られたし、バラス島にも行くことができました。
マングローブカヌーも、夫婦と子供３人乗りができ、冒険のようで楽しかったです。

I participated in a morning mangrove canoe activity. We were transported by bus from the port to the mangroves, and the explanations were thorough and easy to understand, allowing us to fully enjoy the activity! There were multiple groups participating, but three instructors were present, ensuring we had plenty of fun. I participated in the tour in the afternoon. Since it was low tide, the roots of the mangroves were exposed, and it was fun to paddle through them. I participated alone! It was a beautiful place rich in nature⭐︎ In the morning, the cows on Yufujima were adorable. In the afternoon, I went on a canoe mangrove cruise. I joined Team Seki, and when I asked them questions about the mangroves and the creatures, they provided many interesting answers! There were also families from overseas participating, and it was impressive how they explained everything in English! Even though I was alone, I was well taken care of and had a great time‼︎ I highly recommend this activity!

Yubu Island had a short and hectic impression with only one hour for sightseeing, but I was satisfied to cross by water buffalo cart. I was able to experience snorkeling at Barasu Island and another spot, making it a great experience. The meeting point was close to where we boarded the boat, and the snorkeling spots were also nearby, which was nice. Our guide, Abe-chan, took many beautiful photos, and I was very satisfied.

During the busy Obon holiday period, we took the Yufuin Water Buffalo Cart Tour in the morning and the Canoe Mangrove Tour in the afternoon. Although our family isn't particularly athletic, they taught us the proper techniques for paddling a canoe, and we were able to manage it well. During the canoe tour, I brought my smartphone in a waterproof case, but I might not have needed it since our guide, Matsuko, took photos and videos for us. We chose to go canoeing with two adults, a middle school student, and an elementary school student. We proceeded with two two-person canoes. Since the water level was high, we were able to paddle deep into the mangrove forest, which was a lot of fun. It seems that when the water level is low, you can get out of the canoe and walk. Our time on Yubu Island flew by as we strolled and enjoyed gelato.

This was my first trip to Iriomote Island.
I booked it with my family of three for the summer vacation.
On the morning of the tour, as we headed to the meeting point (next to the underwater road: in front of the Iriomote Wildcat statue), we spotted the waterfall at our destination far in the distance, which looked quite large even from afar.
Our guide for the day, Minato, taught us the basics of how to ride a canoe and paddle, and then it was time to practice.
I paddled cautiously at first, but quickly got the hang of it.
Since it was a morning plan, the lake surface was calm, allowing us to paddle with ease.
My high school daughter also enjoyed herself without fear, riding along with the guide.
After paddling for a while, mangroves began to appear on the lake surface, and as we continued along the Hinai River, we started to see the primitive landscape of Iriomote Island with mangrove clusters on both sides.
The guide provided various information, including explanations of the course and the names of the plants we encountered.
Once we reached our destination, we got out of the canoe and began trekking towards the waterfall.
As long as we followed the guide's instructions and were careful on the rocky paths and slopes, there were no issues.
I noticed many small children walking along the way, and it seemed that families were participating in large numbers.
After walking for about 20-30 minutes, we finally arrived at the waterfall.
Looking up at the waterfall, which drops from a height of 50 meters with great force, was overwhelming.
Many people were swimming and diving in the pool at the base of the waterfall.
On the way back, we carefully walked down the mountain path, got back in the canoe, and headed to the starting point.

夏休みに家族3人で予約しました。
ツアー当日の朝に集合場所(海中道路横:イリオモテヤマネコ像前)に向かうと、遥か遠くに今から向かう目的地の滝を発見、遠くからでもかなり大きそうな滝に見えます。
当日帯同してくれるガイド(ミナトさん)からカヌーの乗り方、オールの漕ぎ方の基礎を教わればあとは実践あるのみ。
恐る恐る漕ぎましたが、すぐに慣れます。
当日は午前のプランだからか湖面も穏やかで安心して漕ぎ進められました。
高校生の娘もガイドさんに同乗してもらい怖がることなく楽しそうでした。
暫く漕ぎ続けるとマングローブが湖面に立ち現れ始め、比内川を漕ぎ進めると両脇にマングローブ群が拡がる西表島の原始的な風景が見え始めます。
ガイドのコース説明や群生する植物の名前の紹介など色々な情報を教えてくれます。
川を上り着いたらカヌーを降りて、上方の滝を目指してのトレッキング開始。
途中の岩道や勾配も気を付けながらガイドの指示に合わせて進めば問題無しです。
道中で小さなお子さんも沢山歩いていましたがご家族での参加も多いようです。
歩き続けて20-30分でようやく滝に到着。
滝上を見上げると50mの高さからかなりの勢いで落ちてくる迫力に圧倒されます。
滝壺で泳いだりダイブする人も多いです。
帰りも下りの山道を気を付けて歩いて降りて、カヌーに乗りスタートポイントへ。
川に海水が入り水位が上がり波も出始めますがコツを教わり難なく無事にゴール。
距離がありそうに見えた滝でしたが初めてのカヌーと自分の足で最後まで辿り着けた達成感を感じる事が出来ます。
ツアー参加後に併設しているカフェで食べた八重山そばも美味しかったです。
西表島の大自然を肌で感じることが出来て家族全員で大満足なツアーでした。

I was a bit anxious with around 100 people at the meeting point, but each tour had a conductor, and we were lucky enough to have Naoto as our dedicated guide for our group of two! My first canyoning experience was filled with natural water slides, rock climbing, and jumping, and I felt like a kid again, having so much fun.

I made a reservation for a mangrove canoe experience on a day trip to Iriomote Island. It turned out to be very good. Komasan was in charge, and she was wonderful; the canoe time was very enjoyable. Thank you very much for this experience. I was completely satisfied with the day, enjoying the Pinai Sara Falls in the morning and snorkeling along with the mountains and sea of Iriomote Island in the afternoon. Additionally, I was fortunate to have a great guide, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the activities.
I have done snorkeling at over ten spots in Okinawa, but the coral in Iriomote was the best of all. I was also able to swim with sea turtles.
I definitely want to visit Iriomote Island again.

The day before, I received a call saying that if we were to go to Yufu Island by rental car, we could take our time without any time constraints. On the day of the trip, I wore a swimsuit, a rash guard, and half pants for the beach. Before we left, they lent me a waterproof backpack and trekking shoes, and we organized our luggage before heading out.
There were both single and double kayaks available, and since we were participating as a pair, they asked which one we wanted to use.
We set off in a double kayak. It was quite a challenge to synchronize our paddling, so we called out "right, left, right, right, right, left" together, and the guide complimented us, saying, "That's great!" (laughs). I heard that some people end up arguing during this part... (sweat).
After enjoying the kayaking, we moved on to trekking! We took short breaks along the way, and the guide explained the unique plants and animals of the Yaeyama Islands and took photos for us. There were some challenging spots, but we listened carefully to the guide's instructions and communicated with those behind us, climbing together as a group.
Among the people we passed, there were elderly individuals and small children!
We initially planned not to enter the water at Pinai Sara Falls, but seeing everyone enjoying themselves in the heat and the open air made us decide to go in. We carefully entered from the shallow area, and thanks to the life jackets, we were able to float and had a lot of fun.
We chatted while eating our lunch, then retraced our steps and kayaked back.
It seems that showers are available for a fee, but they kindly provided us with a free shower room just for changing.

当日は、水着と上下ラッシュガードに海辺用のハーフパンツを着用して現地へ。出発前に防水リュックとトレッキング用の靴を貸してくれ、荷物を整理して出発。
カヌーは1人用と2人用があり、2人で参加したため、どちらにするか聞かれました。
２人用で出発。息を合わせないと大変で、右、左、右、右、右、左と２人で声を出しあって漕いでいたら、ガイドさんに、良いですね〜と言われました（笑）中には、ケンカになってしまう方もいるらしいです。。。苦笑
カヌーを満喫して次はトレッキング！
途中で小休憩も取ってくれますし、八重山特有の植物や動物達を説明してくれたり写真も撮ってくれます。なかなかハードな場所もありましたが、ガイドさんの言葉をきちんと聞いて、後ろの人達にも伝え、みんなで登りました。
すれ違う人達の中には、ご高齢の方や小さな小さなお子様もいました！
ピナイサーラの滝で滝壺へ入らない予定でしたが、暑さと開放感とみんなが気持ち良さそうにしているのをみて入ることにしました。浅瀬から足元を注意しながらゆっくりと入っていき、ライフジャケットのお陰でぷかぷか浮かぶことができて楽しかったです。
お弁当を食べながらおしゃぺりして、またまた来た道を戻り、再びカヌーに乗って戻りました。
シャワーは有料のようですが、着替えのみのため、無料でシャワールームを貸してくれました。
お天気にも参加者のみなさんにも恵まれ、とても楽しかったです。
