Yubu Island: The water buffalo carts are a must-see! The buffalo driver plays Okinawan songs on the sanshin.

Taketomi Island: The sea was incredibly beautiful! I think the combination of the sandy beach and the emerald green sea is among the best in the outlying islands. Riding a bicycle in the midsummer heat can be a bit tough, though... haha.

There are repeated transfers by boat and bus, which can be quite strenuous. Be careful of motion sickness. However, this tour is perfect for efficiently exploring three completely different islands and finding your favorite one!

The mangrove cruising in Iriomote was limited due to water depth, but I enjoyed the tropical plants. Riding the water buffalo cart on Yubu Island was a long-time dream come true for me. It felt completely different from the mainland, almost like being overseas. Yubu Island is a tropical botanical garden, so I got to see beautiful flowers. The gelato I had there was the best.

On Taketomi Island, I rented a bicycle and went cycling. I swam at a very beautiful beach and then returned. There are free changing rooms and showers, so if you love swimming, definitely bring your swimsuit!

I had a great time with a plan to quickly explore Iriomote Island and Taketomi Island in one day. The lunch was quite substantial. The plan included riding a water buffalo on Taketomi Island, but the water buffalo took a while to arrive, which made me anxious about whether we would make it in time for the bus. I participated alone. Most of the other participants were families, couples, married couples, and friends, making up a tour of about 30 people. The seating on the sightseeing boat and the bus was spacious enough for solo participants, allowing me to join without any hesitation. Additionally, the lunch on Yubu Island was arranged for individuals, so I could enjoy it at my own pace.

Among the highlights, the mangrove sightseeing tour, especially the areas where two types of mangroves grow together, was very impressive. Also, crossing the sea on a water buffalo cart to Yubu Island was just like the experiences often shown in tourist brochures, which was quite fun. 　ツアー参加日は、コロナ感染者が沖縄県でも最高数を更新していく日でしたが、みなさん当然マスクもし、外がほとんどの旅程でしたので、密になることは少なくあまり気にならない、ゆったりしたツアーでした。

Our family isn't great at early morning departures, but considering the afternoon heat, it was the right choice.

The guidance at each location was smooth and well-handled, so we didn't get lost. The explanation about the mangroves at Nakama River was clear thanks to the enthusiastic staff, and on the bus to Yubu Island, the driver's lively talk about life and prices on Iriomote Island (I was surprised to hear that bean sprouts cost 170 yen) and eating goat sashimi provided us with some interesting insights.

The main goal was the water buffalo cart, and it seemed like not everyone was going to play the sanshin, so on the way back, we hopped on a water buffalo cart with a performance and thoroughly enjoyed it.

On Taketomi Island, I had my first glass-bottom boat experience, and I got to ride the water buffalo cart for the second time. By chance, there was a performance of my favorite song "Dōgami," which moved me deeply. I do wish we had more time on Taketomi Island.

Given the season, it's no surprise that the heat was quite intense. Staying hydrated, wearing hats, and using parasols are essential. The sweat we worked up could only be washed off at the hotel.

My two sons experienced the Yaeyama Islands for the first time, and I believe it will be a lifelong memory for them. そして2度目の水牛車に乗せてもらい、偶然にも大好きな「童神」の演奏があり、心から感動しました。
竹富島の滞在時間が短かったのはちょっと心残りかな…。

この時期なので当然といえば当然ですが、暑さはかなりのものです。
こまめな水分補給、帽子・日傘必須。
かいた汗はホテルでさっぱり流すしかありません。

息子二人は初めての八重山諸島でしたが、一生の記憶に残してくれたことと思います。
スタッフの方々も暑くて大変だと思いますが、これからも素敵な笑顔で迎えていただきたいです。

First of all, the male guide was very enjoyable, and I was glad that he provided a thorough guide even during the busy tourist season.

The first half, canoeing and trekking to Pinai Sara Falls, was initially challenging with the canoeing, but as I got used to it, it became fun and I wanted to paddle more. The Pinai Sara Falls were surprisingly impressive, and the rice balls we ate under the falls were delicious. Thanks to the guide, my wife, who is not very athletic, was also able to enjoy it. Since there were small children participating as well, I think anyone without physical limitations can have a good time. (For the canoeing in the first half, it's better to have one strong person paddling for two.)

The second half at Yubu Island was a lovely place, and I wished we could have spent more time there, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit (I understand the time constraints).

前半のカヌー→ピナイサーラの滝までのトレッキングは、最初はカヌーの操作に苦戦しましたが、だんだん慣れてくると楽しくてもっと乗っていたかったです。ピナイサーラの滝も思いのほか迫力があって、滝の下で食べるおにぎりも美味しかったです。ガイドさんのおかげで運動が得意ではない妻も楽しむことができました。体力的にも小さいお子さんも参加されていたので、なにか身体的な障害がない限りは楽しめるのではないかと思います。
（前半のカヌーは体力ある人が1人ついて2人乗りで漕いだほうがいいです）

後半の由布島も素敵な島で、もっとゆっくりできればよかったなと思いましたが、それでもかなり楽しめました（時間的には仕方ないと思います）

I participated in Gakki's tour. She shared many interesting stories about Iriomote Island, and she was incredibly beautiful and cute. After seeing a sky full of stars, we entered a mysterious narrow stream. In the darkness, I saw bats flying in front of me, heard the sounds of fish jumping, the rustling of something stepping on fallen leaves, and the hooting of an owl—everything felt eerie and mystical (there's no way I would have gone without Iwamoto). By the time we returned to the mouth of the river, it was completely dark. In that setting, as I dipped the paddle into the water to head back to the starting point, countless glow-in-the-dark insects lit up, which was also very mystical. I’ve done various activities like daytime mangrove kayaking and night jungle tours, but this was the best optional tour. Next time I come, I definitely want to do this with my kids as well!

この道30年のベテラン岩本さんに案内して頂き、カヌーで浦内川河口付近へ。水上から見るサンセットは最高でした。満点の星を見た後は、怪しげな細い流域に入ります。暗闇の中、目の前をコウモリが飛んだと思えば、あちこちで魚が跳ねる音、何かが落ち葉を踏む音、ミミズクの鳴き声、全てが不気味&神秘的です（岩本さん無しで行く気には到底なりません）。河口に戻ってくる頃には完全に暗闇です。そんな中で、スタート地点に戻ろうと水面にパドルを差し込むと、無数の夜行虫が光って、これもまたとても神秘的です。昼間のマングローブカヤック、歩きでのナイトジャングルツアーなど、色々やりましたが、オプショナルツアーとしてはこれが最高でした。次回来たら、今度は子供も入れて必ずやりたいと思います！

The bus tour was also fun, as the driver and guide kept the atmosphere lively with interesting talks! The highlight was Yubu Island! The little water buffalo that had just debuted was so cute. The view of crossing the sea was lovely as well. There were many rare tropical plants on the island, which was wonderful! I was also satisfied to take a photo with the water buffalo at the end! However, my child took a long time to eat lunch, so the free time felt a bit short... I wished we could have explored a bit more. I think once my child gets a bit older, we might be more satisfied with that aspect.

This was my family's first trip to Iriomote Island. I thought we might get tired in the morning and afternoon, but that wasn't the case at all; we had a great time. Our guide, Mr. Iizuka, was attentive to safety and time while introducing us to the many charms of Iriomote Island, making for a very fulfilling experience. I hope to join another tour in the future.

I participated in a one-day snorkeling tour to Balas Island and Hatoma Island. The sea was incredibly beautiful, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering it. Unfortunately, we couldn't access Hatoma Island due to COVID, but the harbor was already a lovely spot. The lunch bento was amazing, with perfectly seasoned rice balls! It was a small group tour with a wonderful guide captain. I would love to join again!!

I used this service for the first time.
We went to Yufu Island by water buffalo, and in the afternoon, we did mangrove kayaking and trekking to Pinai Sara Falls.

For lunch, we had handmade, heartfelt rice ball bento, which was incredibly delicious (laughs).

The guide was truly knowledgeable and shared various stories about the flora and fauna of the Yaeyama Islands during the trek.

I really felt that they love the Yaeyama region and their work.

The lecture was also wonderful, and I was able to paddle smoothly in the kayak for the first time.
At Pinai Sara Falls, they took many photos for us and even provided warm drinks, making it a very attentive experience.

It was a very heartwarming tour (even though the temperature was scorching, haha). I would definitely like to sign up again if I have the chance!

I participated with my 4-year-old and 2-year-old children. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we wore masks the entire time (including the kids). The mangrove tour was very sunny and hot, so it's important to stay hydrated. The kids were a bit fussy throughout since we had to wake up early. I felt that this kind of tour might be a bit too early for children of this age. (The parents got tired. Haha.) The water buffalo cart and sightseeing in Yubujima were very enjoyable, as the water buffalo were adorable. The lunch bento included ingredients and dishes typical of Okinawa, which was great. The kids had zaru soba separately. I recommend taking commemorative photos with the water buffalo during the Yubujima tour. Since it starts early, I think parents with preschoolers should ensure they get a good night's sleep the night before to enjoy the tour.

4歳と2歳の子供を連れて参加しました。コロナ禍ということもあり、基本はマスクをずっと着用しました。（子供も）マングローブ遊覧はとにかく日差しが強い、暑いので水分補給はこまめにした方がいいです。子ども達は朝が早かったこともあり、終始ぐづついていました…。これくらいの歳の子達にはまだマングローブ遊覧は早いかな？という印象でした。（親が疲れました。笑）由布島の水牛車や観光は、水牛さん達が可愛くてとても楽しかったです。お昼のお弁当も沖縄らしい食材や料理が入っており、すごく良いです。子ども達は別途、ざる蕎麦を食べさせました。由布島観光の水牛さんとの記念撮影はオススメです。朝が早いので未就学児連れの方はツアーを楽しむためにも前日しっかり寝かせておいた方がいいと思います。
