Mammoth Tour Company. Everything is messy. There are too many inefficiencies in the operations, and the quality of the guides is terrible. They advertise on their website that you can visit three places for 15,000 yen, but in reality, it's only two. I do not recommend this at all. I think it's better to go with a privately operated guide.

I thought it would be quite a fast-paced tour since we were visiting three islands in one day, and it turned out to be just that. However, for someone like me who was visiting for the first time, this speed was actually very comfortable. We got to sample the best parts of each island and fully enjoy the main attractions, which made for a very high level of satisfaction. If there’s an island I particularly liked, I can visit it again next time, and since I've already been there once, I think I’ll be able to enter smoothly and enjoy it even more!

The quick trip without stopping at Taketomi was just the two of us, and we laughed when we returned to Taketomi Port and found no one on the large ship. The Dream Tourism boat is big and hardly sways, so it might be recommended for those who are prone to seasickness.

This tour was perfect for our family, who are beginners at visiting remote islands (father, mother who is four months pregnant, and a five-year-old child)! It was an efficient way to visit the classics.
Since transportation costs and lunch are included, we could move smoothly without any hesitation. The round-trip high-speed ferry is relatively large, so even with slightly high waves, it was comfortable and we didn't get seasick. We were able to take a nap during the trip, which allowed us to explore the islands energetically.
The lunch featuring mimiga (pork ear) with shikuwasa and purple sweet potato tempura was delicious and memorable! Our five-year-old child was free for the tour, so they didn't have lunch, but the portion was large enough that we could share from the mother's plate, which worked out perfectly.
I felt that the time spent on Taketomi Island was short. It was a remote island where I could appreciate the atmosphere and the beauty of the sea. I would love to visit again next time, especially the cobalt blue Kondoi Beach and Kaiji Beach, where you can find star sand.
I think this tour is a great way to discover your favorite remote islands!

離島初心者の我が家（父、妊娠4ヶ月の母 、5歳の子供）にはピッタリ！定番を効率よく回れるツアーでした。
移動費も昼食代も込みなので、あれこれ迷うことなくスムーズに行動できます。
往復の高速フェリーも大きめなので、波が少々高くても船酔いしにくく安心。移動中も仮眠を取れたので、元気に離島を巡ることができました。
昼食のシークワサー風ミミガーと紫芋の芋もちのようなウムクジ天ぷらが美味しくて印象的でした！5歳の子どもはツアー料金無料なので昼食は出ませんでしたが、1人分の量が多いので母の分を取り分けてあげて丁度良かったです。
竹富島の滞在時間が短く感じました。
島内の雰囲気や海の美しさが好きだなぁと思える離島でした。コバルトブルーのコンドイビーチや、星の砂が見つかるカイジ浜など、また次回ゆっくり訪れたいです。
自分の好きな離島が見つかるツアーだと思います！

On Iriomote Island, we experienced one of the few days of high tide that occur about eight times a year, and the water level was so high that we couldn't see the roots of the mangroves during the mangrove tour. However, we were guided through a route that can only be accessed during high tide. On Yubu Island, we enjoyed a round trip on a water buffalo cart and a lunch while exploring the island. On Taketomi Island, there were cycling courses available, and I was glad to ride the water buffalo cart again as I learned a lot about the islands. In the morning, I participated in a snorkeling activity, and in the afternoon, I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in the mangroves!
The snorkeling was amazing, with beautiful fish and coral. Even as a near first-timer, I was able to enjoy it easily thanks to the life jacket. We swam at two spots, including Baras Island, so I got to see various underwater scenery, and I was deeply moved when I saw a sea turtle swimming up close at the end!
In the afternoon, the mangrove experience was great too. They carefully taught us how to paddle and ride, making it easy for beginners like me! I felt connected to nature in a way I usually can't, and I was healed by the natural plants and animals around the Kuura Falls!
Overall, I think it was a truly fulfilling tour that filled my heart throughout the day! The guide's explanations and the many photos we received afterward became wonderful memories.
I joined this tour as a solo traveler on a tight schedule, but the other participants and the guide were so kind that I was able to enjoy it fully on my own! Thank you very much!

In the morning, we went snorkeling at Barasu Island. Our guide, Kaz, was very kind and explained everything in detail. There were two snorkeling spots, and at the first spot, we saw plenty of coral and fish. The next stop at Barasu Island had an astonishing level of transparency, and we were lucky enough to land there, which was breathtaking! Even though I participated without a camera, Kaz kindly sent us photos later, which was very appreciated.
After our lunch break, we experienced canoeing through the mangroves. We got off partway and took a short walk to a waterfall, which was refreshing. Our guide, Shimicchan, was all smiles and shared interesting information about Iriomote Island. He also took photos for us here.
On the way back, we were able to take a shower in a large changing room at the office, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. I am filled with gratitude for the wonderful guides!

The round-trip bus transfer to the hotel was very smooth, allowing the tour to proceed seamlessly! Even though it was a tour, there was plenty of free time for exploration, which was great. We set sail on a boat and immediately headed to the mangrove cruise in Iriomote Island... The explanations were very easy to understand, and I was satisfied! After that, we moved by bus and rode water buffalo to Yufu! While enjoying the scenery from the water buffalo, we explored the botanical garden in Yufu and had delicious food! Afterward, we returned by bus and took a boat to Taketomi Island... The bus tour included a stroll on the star sand and sightseeing in Taketomi by water buffalo... everything was fantastic‼︎ On the way back, we adjusted the bus transfer schedule and explored the bustling streets of Ishigaki, where I was able to buy souvenirs! If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the remote islands don't have trash cans, so it's better to bring a bag for your trash. Thank you very much! (^^)
宿泊ホテルまでバスで往復送迎していただき、とってもスムーズにツアーを進めてくださいました！ツアーなのに、自由散策も多く、いい所取りでした。船で出航し、すぐに西表島のマングローブクルーズへ…説明もとっても分かりやすく、満足です！その後バスで移動し、水牛に乗って由布へ！ドラマの中に入り込んだような水牛からの景色を見ながら、由布では植物園散策に美味しいご飯！その後バスで戻り船で竹富島へ…バス観光で星砂散策し、水牛で竹富観光…どれをとっても最高でした‼︎帰りは一本バス送迎をずらし、石垣の繁華街を散策し、お土産も買って帰れました！一つあげるなら、離島はゴミ箱がなく、ゴミを持つための袋を持参した方がいいかなと思いました。ありがとうございました(^^)

Due to the rain in the evening, the stargazing tour was canceled. The night tour for wildlife observation also had to turn back midway because the trail was muddy. I understand it couldn't be helped, but it was quite disappointing in many ways. However, I was very satisfied because I was able to see the forest in full bloom with the Sagarihana. The guide's efforts to keep the mood up and his stories were also entertaining.
夕方からの雨のため、星空ツアーが中止となった。野生動物観察のナイトツアーも、トレイルがぬかるんでいて途中で引き返し。 仕方ないと思うけれど、いろいろ残念だった。しかし、一番見たかったサガリバナ満開の森は見ることができたので大満足。ガイドのお兄さんの盛り上げようとする頑張りとお話も面白かった。

I participated in this trip as a solo traveler. Although I felt a bit lonely since there were no other solo travelers, the continuous beautiful scenery made me forget about that. If I could be a little selfish, I would have liked to extend my stay on Iriomote Island and do a bit more sightseeing by bus. Conversely, I think half the time on Yufu Island would have been sufficient. I appreciated that on Taketomi Island, I could choose my return time. I visited Iriomote Island, Yufu Island, and Taketomi Island, and I rode a water buffalo twice. It was fun to cross the sea and ride around the islands while listening to the sanshin. The lunch bento was also a great value, allowing us to enjoy Okinawan ingredients. However, I was a bit disappointed that the mangrove tour lacked variety and felt very long and boring. That's why I gave it four stars.

After 47 years, I came to Iriomote Island, and even at 67 years old, it still excites me. Swimming with the turtles was amazing. The coral at Hatoma Island is just as wonderful as it was in the past. Since my flight was around 7 PM on the last day of my trip, I wanted to make the most of the half day and made a reservation two days prior. It happened to be a day of high tide, so we were able to take a route on the Nakama River cruise that usually cannot be accessed due to low water levels, allowing us to see mangroves that can only be found there. However, the water level was so high that the roots, which are a characteristic of mangroves, were almost submerged. I feel that experiencing the jungle-like atmosphere of the mangroves would be better during low tide. We sat on the right side of the boat, but since the boat traveled upstream along the left bank, I wished we had sat on the left side. (This also depends on the water level, so it can't be said definitively.)
On Yubu Island, we had 90 minutes of free time, including lunch. It takes less than an hour to walk around the entire island, so the time was sufficient. Since the return trip goes via Taketomi Island, if you have extra time, I recommend getting off at Taketomi Island to explore by rental bicycle or ox cart. You can ride an ox cart on Yubu Island, so personally, I think it's best to cycle around Kondoi Beach and Kaiji Beach.
Next time, I want to stay on Iriomote Island and enjoy more activities on the island.
旅行最終日が19時頃の飛行機だったので半日を有効活用したいと思い、二日前に予約を取りました。ちょうど大潮の日の満潮時だったので仲間川のクルーズでは普段水位が足りなくて通ることができないコースを通ることができ、そこでしか見られないマングローブを見ることができました。ただ、水位が高過ぎてマングローブの特徴である根っ子はほぼ水没していました。マングローブのジャングルらしさを味わうなら干潮時の方がいいような気がします。私達はボート右側に座ったのですが、ボートは左岸に沿って川を遡ったので左側に座れば良かったと思いました。（これも水位によって航行ルートが変わるので一概には言えませんが）
由布島では昼食を含めて90分の自由時間がありました。島全体は1時間もかからずに一周できるので時間は充分です。帰りは竹富島経由なので時間に余裕があるなら竹富島で降りて、レンタサイクルや牛車で島を観光することをお勧めします。由布島で牛車に乗れるので、個人的にはレンタサイクルでコンドイ浜やカイジ浜を回るのが良いかと。
次回は西表島に宿泊してもっと島内のアクティビティを楽しみたいです。

First, we were able to explore the mangroves by boat and take our time with photos (the guide was also very attentive). The water buffalo cart was a slow-paced ride, allowing us to enjoy sightseeing at a leisurely pace. On the way back, we returned a bit faster with a different guide, but it was no problem since it was the return trip.

The weather was cloudy from the morning. First, we were given a booklet with all the tickets for the itinerary. We were with various tour groups. The journey to Iriomote Island was quite long. We transferred to a bus and headed to the cruise ship terminal. The driver and guide was very good at speaking! After switching to the cruise ship, we observed the mangroves. Having done quite a few guided river cruises in Southeast Asia, I wasn't particularly impressed. We then transferred to another bus to go to the water buffalo cart station. The water buffalo cart ride while listening to Yaeyama folk songs was nice! The Okinawan cuisine at Yubu Island, accompanied by explanations, was delicious! After the meal, we took a commemorative photo with the water buffalo "Rui-kun"! I wanted the photo data and purchased two for 2500 yen. You can quickly download the data with a QR code. Then, there was a thunderstorm! During that time, we enjoyed Yubu Island coffee and cake at the Yubu Island tea house. The coffee was very tasty with a slight acidity. It seems to be a daily blend. When the rain lightened up, we returned to Iriomote Island by water buffalo cart, switched buses to go to the port, and took a boat to Taketomi Island. We took another bus and visited two beaches. 残り時間20分で展望ビルに上り、アイスの商店でアイス購入し、走り回り～またバスで港へ行き船で帰港・・・。クルーズ時間を短くするかして竹富島観光時間を、あと30分は取って欲しい。全ての行程でチケットを切り取り、出すのが大変でした。遊園地の腕輪のようにコース番号印刷をはめれば見せるだけでOKみたいなものを使ってほしいです。

1: I went to see the mangroves in Amami Oshima first, and this time the mangroves were quite disappointing. I do not recommend it. During the hour-long cruise, I listened to music and did other things. I will upload photos on social media, as a reality check.
2: Regarding the ox cart, I was informed by the local staff that moving to a different seat (especially towards the back) puts significant strain on the ox's neck, which has led to instances of fainting and even life-threatening situations in the past. It would have been better if this information had been provided during the adjustment phase when we were confirming our seating positions before departure, but this discussion happened during the return trip. I found it very stressful to receive a stern warning without prior explanation during the outbound trip when we were fixing our seats. I will never visit this island again. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I will not support it.
3: Additionally, the tour did not include the "2022 shuttle bus timetable" until I pointed it out. It was still showing the expired link from early 2021. 牛車がまだ出発前の段階で各自の席位置を確定させる調整段階の時に上記話があればよかったのですが、この話は帰りの牛車時でした。行きの牛車時に説明なく(かつ出発前の席固定調整時)に強い口調で注意だけされた私には非常にストレスフルでした。
二度とこの島へは行きません。非常に不快な思いでです。支援もしません。
3:また本ツアーは「2022送迎バス時刻表」を私が指摘するまで掲載がありませんでした。リンク期限切れの2021年前半掲載のままでした。
管理担当者はツアー会社側と本仲介(マッチングサイト)両者と推測されます。管理担当者の運用意識が私にはわかりかねました。
4:ツアー前日に電話がかかってきてその際に集合時間を案内されますが(他ツアーも同じく)申し込みがWebなのにその後アナログ対応で電話とは。。。IP電話だと電話代発生しますし沖縄旅行だと前日もバタバタしていたり離島や電波の悪い場所にいたり(私はそうでした)。運用システムの改善を強く要望します。
要は、目的が「集合時間、場所相互認識一致」ですよね。
なら申し込みに使用したメールアドレスからそのような画面へうつってクリックするなりすれば目的は果たせますよね？
アプリや大掛かりなシステム開発では費用がかさむこともありますが
この程度のものなら短時間少人数で対応できるわけです。
今回沖縄旅行で2つのツアーを申し込みましたが、現システムの悪さを踏まえてもリピートはありません。
IT知識向上と最新情報のブラッシュアップ、マーケティングを再度見直してください。
上記理由と体験から、ツアー申し込みよりも個別オプションを自分で手配した方が不満回避になると思いました。

The boat to Iriomote Island was quite rocky due to strong winds, which was a bit scary. I had imagined the mangrove cruise on Iriomote Island to be like a jungle, so I was a little disappointed that the river was wide. However, it was a fun tour as I finally got to ride a water buffalo cart, which I had been looking forward to.

Regarding Barasu Island, it has recently become very small, and there are days when landing is not possible.
We informed customers in advance and are offering a plan that includes two tours: SUP/canoeing on the Kurara River and snorkeling around Barasu Island, instead of a set plan that includes landing on Barasu.
Both plans are priced at 15,000 yen, and we sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings.
