It seems that about half of 2022 was rainy, but we were blessed with the best weather during October and November! Due to the waves and wind, we couldn't go snorkeling, but instead, the water buffalo cart experience on Yufu Island was amazing! The time spent traveling back and forth on the water buffalo cart, accompanied by the sound of the sanshin, and the beautiful scenery that truly represents the tropics was wonderful! Above all, Gakki from ADVENTURE PiPi was adorable and soothing! Her voice was clear and easy to understand, and there was a nice contrast in her energetic guidance. Thank you for the fun time!

2022年は半分くらい雨の日だったようですが、10.11月の中で最もコンディションが良い晴天に恵まれました！波風のため？シュノーケリングはできませんでしたが、代わりに体験させて頂いた水牛車の由布島は最高でした！三線の音色ともに水牛車で往復する時間や由布島でのこれぞ南国という景観が素晴らしかったです！何よりADVENTURE PiPiのガッキーさんが、可愛くて癒されました！声もよく通って聞き取りやすく、ちゃきちゃきした案内には良いギャップがありました^ ^
楽しい時間をありがとうございました！！

We were lucky to have a private tour for our family of four. The early morning canoe ride was truly magical and became one of the best activities we've ever done. Our guide, Hoshi, was great; he was flexible and took care of the kids, which was fantastic.

Another guiding company canceled on us the day before at 3 PM, probably due to not having enough people, so we ended up getting a guide for the windmill, and that was a lucky break.

We had so many things we wanted to do on Iriomote Island. Among them, this tour, which included canoeing, trekking, lunch at a waterfall, and playing in the waterfall, seemed to have everything we wanted, so we decided to participate. In a word, it was an "extremely satisfying" tour that exceeded our expectations!!

Our guide, Mr. Hoshi, was so enjoyable to listen to, sharing stories about the nature of Iriomote Island and his life after moving to the island, which made our time canoeing and trekking even more fun. I was a bit worried about my stamina, but the canoeing pace was not too fast, and during the trekking, we took plenty of breaks and had time to hydrate, allowing us to enjoy it without overdoing it. The sense of accomplishment and exhilaration when we reached the top of the waterfall, along with the breathtaking view from there, still excites me when I think back on it, and I truly feel glad that I participated. Moreover, the Yaeyama soba made by Mr. Hoshi at the top of the waterfall was exquisite!! Overall, the atmosphere was great, and it was fun to play in the waterfall together with the other participants.

My husband and I are talking about how we want to remember this day for a long time. Even though some time has passed since we participated, we are reminiscing by looking back at the photos and videos taken during the tour. One of the highlights of this tour is that they take a lot of photos for you.

We visited the Yaeyama Islands for our honeymoon and toured various islands, but the tour on Iriomote Island left the most memorable impression. I envy those who will participate in this tour in the future, and if given the chance, I would love to join again. Highly recommended!!

西表島でやりたいことがたくさんあった私たち。その中でも、こちらのツアーはカヌー、トレッキング、滝上でのランチ、滝遊びとやりたいことが詰まっていると思い、参加させていただきました。一言で言えば期待以上の「大満足」なツアーでした！！
ガイドの星さんのお話が楽しくて、西表島の自然のこと、島に移住されての生活などたくさんお聞きでき、カヌーを漕いだりトレッキングをする時間がより楽しいものとなりました。体力が少し心配でしたが、カヌーのペースも早すぎず、トレッキングではこまめに休憩や水分を摂る時間も取ってくださり無理なく楽しめました。滝上まで上った時の達成感や高揚感、滝上からの景色の絶景さ、今思い出してもワクワクして、本当に参加してよかったと思います。また、なんと言っても滝上で食べた星さんお手製の八重山そばが絶品でした！！全体的に雰囲気が良く、他の参加者の方とも一緒になって滝遊びをして楽しかったです。
この日のことはこの先も忘れず覚えていたいねと夫婦2人で話しています。参加してから日にちが経ちますが、撮っていただいた写真や動画を見返して思い出に浸っています。写真をたくさん撮っていただけるのもこのツアーのおすすめポイントです。
今回新婚旅行で八重山諸島を訪れ、いろいろな島巡りをしましたが、西表島のツアーが一番の思い出に残りました。これから参加される方がうらやましいくらい、機会があればまた参加したいツアーです。おすすめです！！

I'm really glad I asked Mr. Kazaguruma for help. The guide was Hiro. The path to the waterfall was a mountain trail with rope sections, but he guided us at a comfortable pace with safety in mind, so I was able to enjoy it without any worries. Along the way, he provided clear explanations about insects and plants, making the time fly by. At the waterfall, he made us warm Yaeyama soba, and at the bottom of the waterfall, there were handmade rice cakes prepared by the owner, all of which were delicious. Furthermore, the facilities were very clean, and both the restroom and shower were in excellent condition. I felt that it was a very trustworthy company and guide. I would like to request a guide again when I come to Iriomote Island!

風車さんにお願いして本当によかったです。ガイドはヒロさんがしてくださいました。滝上までの道のりはロープ場もある山道でしたが、無理のないペースで安全に配慮してガイドしてくださるので、不安なく楽しめました。道すがら、昆虫や植物などわかりやすくレクチャーしてくれるので、あっという間の時間でした。滝上では、あたたかい八重山そばを作ってくれて、滝下ではオーナー手作りというお餅も用意してくれていて、どれも美味しかったです。さらに、施設はとても清潔感があって、トイレもシャワーもとてもきれいでした。
とても信頼のできる会社と、ガイドさんだと感じました^ ^
西表島に来るときに、またガイドをお願いしたいです！

I'm really glad I booked a tour with Windmill! I’ve participated in various tours across the country, but there are three things that stood out about Windmill.

1. The guide was great! This time, we had Hoshi as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the creatures and plants of Iriomote Island, and he shared a lot of information during the tour. Walking through the magnificent scenery of Iriomote with that knowledge made the experience so much more enjoyable! I was also very grateful for all the photos he took. Hoshi's love for Iriomote really came through, and he was an excellent guide.

2. The food was delicious! The tour included lunch and snacks, and I was surprised by how tasty they were! I thought we would have bento boxes from a shop or snacks like the souvenir chinsuko, but instead, we had homemade Yaeyama soba with pork belly that had been simmered for several days, and homemade mochi (purple sweet potato rice cake), which was a traditional Okinawan treat. The quality of the food was far beyond what you would expect from a tour!

3. The tour structure, including time management, was excellent! To avoid crowds with other tour guests, we started early, allowing us to enjoy canoeing at a leisurely pace and take photos of the scenery without anyone else around. I thought the tour was well-planned with thoughtful details. Of course, the main spots do attract people, so it wasn't completely empty, but I felt we were able to enjoy the views while avoiding the busiest times.

I was very satisfied and would love to use Windmill again when I visit Iriomote!

風車さんのツアーを予約して本当に良かったです！
全国津々浦々、さまざまなツアーに参加しましたが、
特に風車さんが良かったなと思ったのは3つです。

1.ガイドさんが良い！
今回は星さんに担当いただきました。
西表島の生き物、植物にとても詳しく、ツアー中にいろいろなことを話していただき、
その知識を踏まえて西表の雄大な景色の中を歩くことで楽しさが何倍にもなりました！
写真もたくさん撮っていただき大変ありがたかったです。
また、星さん自身の西表愛も伝わってきて、とても良いガイドさんでした。

2.ご飯が美味しい！
ツアー内に昼食やおやつがついていたのですが
そちらが想像以上においしく驚きました…！
お昼は商店で売ってるお弁当や、おやつもお土産品のちんすこうが出てくるのかな？
と思っていましたが、自家製の数日煮込んだ豚の三枚肉が入った八重山そばや、
沖縄の伝統のお菓子の自家製ムーチー(紅芋のおもち)が出てきて
料理のクオリティがツアーのおまけでついているレベルではなかったです！

3.時間配分などのツアー構成が良い！
他のツアー客と混み合わないよう、早めスタートで
ゆっくりカヌーが楽しめたり、誰もいない景色の写真が撮れたりと、
細かな配慮がされているツアー構成だなと思いました。
もちろん、主要スポットは人が集まってくるので
ずっと人がいないわけではないですが、
それでも1番混んでいる時は避けて景色を見ることができたなと感じました。


とても満足度が高く
また西表に訪れた際はお世話になりたいです！

I was worried that the bad weather would prevent us from seeing the stars, but the wind cleared the clouds, and we were able to enjoy the best starry sky. The stars in the pitch darkness, the bioluminescent plankton, the fireflies, and the mangroves created a truly magical and wonderful experience.

真っ暗な中の星空、夜光虫、ホタル、マングローブはとても幻想的で素敵な体験をさせていただきました。

I was surprised at how solid the hike was, but the view from above the waterfall was truly spectacular! Paddling a canoe leisurely through the mangroves felt wonderful, and playing in the water at the base of the waterfall brought back my childhood, allowing me to have a blast.

Above all, our guide, Hoshi, was friendly and considerate, sharing his knowledge about Iriomote Island and telling us fun stories, which made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The soba we had at the top of the waterfall was also fantastic! We took a lot of photos and videos, creating great memories. My husband and I keep saying this was the most fun we've had on this trip. It turned out to be the best honeymoon! Thank you very much!

思ったよりもしっかりした登山で最初はびっくりしましたが、滝の上からの景色は本当に絶景でした！マングローブでのんびりカヌーを漕ぐのもとても気持ち良かったし、滝壺での水遊びも童心に返って、思いっきりはしゃいで楽しみました。

We participated in this tour when my wife and I visited Iriomote Island for our honeymoon.
First, let me say this: this tour is amazing.
It's a highly satisfying package that allows you to fully enjoy nature beyond the sea for a whole day, with activities like canoeing and caving.

You can observe living creatures closely while listening to explanations from a qualified nature observation instructor who conducts bird research. If you love animals, this tour will definitely exceed your expectations.

Even if you're not that into animals, the guide is friendly, so those who focus on canoeing and activities will have plenty of fun.

Even beginners in canoeing will be able to enjoy it without any issues thanks to the lectures, and during trekking, they will show you safe and easy walking points. They provide all the necessary equipment, which is a great point for participating in the tour with peace of mind.

Regarding ease of access:
Since it takes a full day, it can be physically demanding. Canoeing can be tough, especially when it's windy.
Also, there aren't many opportunities to use the restroom, so be sure to consult with the guide as needed.

Regarding activities:
Since you enjoy three activities in one day, it may not be suitable for those who want to focus deeply on just one.
But if you want to enjoy a lot at a great value, you’ll be just fine!

Anyway, the guide is wonderful.
They are friendly, knowledgeable, and cheerful, making the tour enjoyable, so give it a try!

妻と新婚旅行で西表島に来たときに参加しました。
まず感想を言わせてください。このツアー最高です。
海以外の自然を一日かけて存分に満喫し、カヌーやケイビングなどのアクティビティも楽しめる満足度の高いパッケージングです。

鳥類の研究を行なっている、自然観察指導員の資格を持った方の解説を聞きながら、生き物をじっくり観察できます。生き物が好きならば、大満足のツアーになることは間違いありません。

生き物がそこまで好きではなくても、ガイドさんが気さくな方なので、カヌーやアクティビティ重視の方でも十分楽しめます。

カヌー初心者でも、レクチャーで問題なく楽しめるようになりますし、トレッキングでは安全な歩きやすいポイントを教えてくれます。道具は全て用意してくれるので、安心してツアーに参加できるのはとても良いポイントです。

お手軽度に関して。
一日フルで使うので、体力の消耗は激しいです。特に風が強いとカヌーが大変です。
また、トイレに行けるタイミングは多くないので、都度ガイドさんに相談しましょう。

アクティビティに関して。
一日で3つを楽しむため、一つをじっくり楽しみたい方には向いていないかもしれません。
お得にたくさん楽しみたい方は大丈夫です！


とにかく、ガイドさんが素晴らしい方です。
気さくで物知りで明るい、ツアーを楽しくしてくれる方なので、参加してみてください！

Due to bad weather, we couldn't go snorkeling at Barasu Island, but we participated in a mangrove canoe tour in the morning.

It was my first time on Iriomote Island, but our guide, Gakki, shared various stories about the island on the way to our destination, which made the journey exciting.

At first, I struggled to paddle as I had hoped, getting stuck and bumping into trees, but it was thrilling and a lot of fun.

We were able to see the beautiful Sagari-bana, which blooms briefly, and felt the power of nature while soaking in negative ions at the waterfall at the end. It was a truly precious time!

Gakki also took many wonderful photos, and just looking back at them brings back the fun memories. I thought it would be great to come back during the peak bloom of the Sagari-bana or for a revenge trip to Barasu Island. It became a lovely memory of our honeymoon. Thank you, Gakki! ♡

悪天候のためバラス島でのシュノーケリングは叶いませんでしたが、午前中のみのコースでマングローブカヌーのツアーに参加しました。

西表島は初めてでしたが、ポイントまでの道中でガイドのガッキーが西表島のいろいろな話をしてくださったので、ワクワクしながら向かうことができました。

最初は思ったように進めず、座礁したり木に突っ込んだりしましたが、スリルがあってとても楽しかったです。

すぐに散ってしまうというサガリバナが綺麗な状態で見られたり、ゴールの滝でマイナスイオンを浴びながら大自然のパワーを感じたりと、大変貴重な時間を過ごすことができました！

素敵なお写真もたくさん撮ってくださっていて、見返すだけで楽しかった時間が蘇ってきます。次はサガリバナが満開の時期か、バラス島のリベンジでまた来たいなと思いました。新婚旅行の素敵な思い出になりました。ガッキー、ありがとう♡

They informed me the day before that the boat was confirmed, as well as alternative access methods via another boat. I was very surprised by the detailed follow-up through phone and email before the event.

On the day of the event, everything was prepared, including shoes, bags, and drinks, so I had no anxiety about participating. The guide, Hoshi, answered all my questions, took plenty of photos and videos, and was very entertaining, which was great.

The soba for lunch was delicious, and the snacks during the break were also tasty.

This became my favorite memory from the trip. I would love to join a tour with Kazaguruma again when I come back to Okinawa.

参加の前日に船が決行したことや、別の船でのアクセス方法を連絡してくれた。参加前から電話とメールで細かいフォローがあり非常に驚いた。
当日も、靴や鞄や飲み物など全て用意されていて、参加への不安は何もなかった。ガイドのほしさんも、質問したら全て答えてくれて、写真も動画もいっぱい撮ってくれて、話も面白くてすごくよかった。
お昼のそばも美味しかったし、休憩中のお菓子も美味しかった。
この旅行の中での1番の思い出になりました。
また、沖縄に来たら風車さんのツアーに参加したいと思えました。

I was guided by Mr. Uno. He shared not only stories about nature, animals, and plants, but also about human life within that context, considering the historical background. It was very interesting to learn about the history of the people of Iriomote Island, which once existed as a coal mining area, distinct from nature. The story about malaria was particularly insightful, as it pertains to a history not found on the mainland, and there were many moments that made me think, "I see."

During the long journey, he shared many stories about flora and fauna, and it made me reflect on how humans, like plants and animals, are part of nature and how we can find ways to coexist and support each other within our environment. Both the nature and the stories have become unforgettable memories. I would like to come back to learn more. Thank you very much.

ガイドの宇野さんに案内して頂きました。
自然の話、生き物の話、植物の話はもちろんですが、その中で生きてきた人間の生活の話を時代背景を踏まえて教えて下さいました。
かつて炭鉱として存在していた、自然とはまた違った西表島の人の歴史を知ることができてとても興味深くお話を聞かせて頂きました。マラリアのお話も、本土では無い人の歴史ですので、なるほどなぁ、と思うところが多かったです。
短くない道中、動植物のお話も沢山して下さり、動植物と同じように人も自然の一部として、環境と支え合う道をなんとか見つけれたら、と考える1日でした。
自然も、お話も、忘れない思い出になりました。また学びに伺いたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

We participated as a couple. After enjoying canoeing through the mangroves, we worked up a good sweat hiking, and the Okinawa soba we had at the summit was the best! It was a bit chilly in October, but playing in the waterfall allowed us to return to our childhood. On the way back, we also enjoyed the nature leisurely in the canoe. The guide's stories were very interesting, and I learned a lot about Iriomote Island, which made me fall in love with it. I'm grateful for all the photos and videos taken. They also provide shoes and backpacks, so as long as you have a swimsuit and comfortable clothing, you can join in.

カヌーを漕いでマングローブを堪能した後は、登山でしっかり汗を流して、頂上で食べるソーキそばは最高でした！
10月で少し寒くなる時期でしたが、滝壺での水遊びは童心に帰ることができました。帰りもゆったりカヌーで自然を満喫できました。
ガイドの方の話がとても面白く、西表島のことをたくさん知ることができ、西表島が大好きになりました。写真や動画もたくさん撮っていただき、感謝します。靴もリュックも貸していただけるので水着と動きやすい服装さえあれば参加できます。

Canoeing through the jungle was a lot of fun! The guidance from Gakki was very polite and cheerful, and it was really great. I would like to use this service again if I have the opportunity.

It was a half-day course, but I was extremely satisfied! Since it was a small group, it was easy to move around, and thank you for taking so many photos＾＾ I ended up with full-body muscle soreness, and I really think the half-day course was perfect… haha. Due to the conditions of the waves the day before, we were informed that it was possible to change to a half-day canoe and trekking tour (7,000 yen per person). After considering it, I got back to them. When I followed up, I was told that caving was also available, so I requested that tour, but there was no explanation about the pricing at that time, and after the tour, I was charged 12,000 yen per person. I had the understanding that it would be around 7,000 yen, so I would have appreciated a clear explanation if there was a change in the price.

Additionally, after being informed that we could not land on Barasu Island, I booked another tour company, and we were able to land on Barasu Island and go snorkeling.

The introduction to the creatures during the cave exploration and canoeing, as well as the information about Iriomote Island, was very interesting and enjoyable. However, on the day of the tour, there were many people, and I was unsure where to wait for photos in narrow spaces. While taking pictures as we progressed in the canoe, there were times when we got stuck and were bumped from behind, so I would have liked clearer instructions and guidance. I was told that the hotel pick-up time was 16:30, but we actually arrived around 17:15.

We waited for the shower for the same group going to the port, and after being taken to the port, we were then taken back to the hotel. Since I had other plans afterward, I would have appreciated it if the staff, who were numerous at the office, could have taken that into consideration in case of significant changes.

前日に波等の関係でバラス島へ上陸できない為、半日のカヌー&トレッキングツアー(1人7,000円)の変更は可能とのご連絡があり、一度検討し折り返しをいたしました。
折り返しした際、ケイビングもできるとのお話でそちらのツアーをお願いしましたがその際料金についての説明はなく、ツアー後1人12,000円を請求されました。7,000円程度実施できるとの認識だった為、料金変更が場合はしっかり説明頂きたかったです。
また、バラス島上陸できない旨の連絡があった後別のツアー会社を予約したところしバラス島への上陸、シュノーケリングの実施ができました。

洞窟探検、カヌー時に生き物の紹介や西表島の紹介をして頂けた点はとても面白く楽しかったですが、当日のツアーも人数が多く、狭い場所での写真撮影はどこで待ってたら良いのか、カヌーで進みながら写真を撮る際にに後ろがつっかえて後ろから突っ込まれたりとしたのでしっかり指示、案内をして頂きたかったのと、ホテル送迎時刻を16:30と伝えられていたが実際到着したのは17:15頃でした。
同じグループの港行きのシャワーを待ち、港に送迎後ホテルに送迎され、
その後の予定もあったので大幅に変更になる際は事務所に多数のスタッフもいた為、ご配慮頂けたら嬉しかったです。

I had a great time engaging in activities with wonderful staff and cheerful companions under the beautiful weather. I was also happy to enjoy breathtaking views while snorkeling and diving that exceeded my expectations. I am especially grateful for the quick spotting of a sea turtle to fulfill my wish to observe them. Additionally, I had several photos taken during the activities, and the quality of the pictures was fantastic! The instructor was not only skilled in swimming techniques but also in photography, which impressed me deeply. (*´ω｀*)

素晴らしい好天の中で、素敵なスタッフと陽気な仲間と共に活動てきて楽しかったです。
また、シュノーケリングやダイビング共に想像を超える景色を堪能できて幸せでした。
特に僕の希望であったウミガメ観察を叶えるために、ウメガメを迅速に見つけてくれて、深く感謝申し上げます。
またアクティビティ中に写真も複数撮影してもらいましたが、写真のクオリティも素晴らしかったです！

The mangroves and snorkeling were both breathtaking. The emerald-colored sea, the colorful coral reefs, and the mysterious mangroves created a scene that felt like something out of a travel guidebook. Our guide, Matsuko, provided clear explanations, and even though it was my first time kayaking and snorkeling, I was able to enjoy it as a beginner. The guide was very kind, ensuring that we could safely enjoy the marine sports. I was also very happy that they took photos and sent the data to us. Thank you very much.

マングローブも、シュノーケリングも絶景でした。
エメラルド色の海ら色とりどりのサンゴ礁、神秘的なマングローブ、観光ガイド本でしか見たことのないような、光景がそこには広がっていました。
ガイドのまつこさんの説明はわかりやすく、カヌーもシュノーケルリングも初めてだったのですが、初心者でも楽しむことが出来ました。
ガイドさんが、親切して下さり、安心安全に、マリンスポーツを楽しむことができました。
写真撮影をして、データを送って頂けたことも、とても嬉しかったです。

The mangrove canoe tour at Pinai Sara Falls was amazing! Our tour guide, Hoshi, was very accommodating to our relaxed pace, which we really appreciated! They took a lot of photos for us, and thanks to that, we have plenty of wonderful pictures! Also, Hoshi's homemade Yaeyama soba and sweet potato mochi were incredibly delicious! I would love to join the tour again when I visit Iriomote Island.

The staff (Kaz) was easy to talk to and explained everything politely, which was great! It became a very enjoyable memory! I'm glad we took a lot of photos. If I had to say something, I wish I could have taken a photo with a sea turtle, haha.

My daughter and I participated together, and although I had some concerns about our physical stamina, the support from our guide was excellent. We were able to enjoy conversations about the nature of Iriomote and local life while happily climbing up to the waterfall. We savored handmade soba while admiring the scenery, and at the base of the waterfall, we jumped in and swam with everyone who participated. I’m really glad I joined and had such a fulfilling day! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

カヌーにトレッキングに西表の自然を満喫しました！娘と2人での参加で、体力に若干不安がありましたが、ガイドの方のサポートが素晴らしく、西表の自然の話から暮らしの話など、会話を楽しみながら楽しく滝上まで登ることができました。景色を眺めながら手作りのお蕎麦をいただき、滝つぼでは参加した皆さんと一緒に飛び込んだり泳いだり、1日たっぷり楽しむことができて本当に参加して良かったです！

We participated as a couple in our 30s! The hotel pick-up and the explanation of the rental equipment were smooth, allowing us to join without any confusion.

The guide had extensive knowledge, and the information about the names and descriptions of plants and animals was very helpful. They also provided thorough explanations about dangerous creatures and locations, which made us feel safe and allowed us to enjoy ourselves!

After a good amount of activity with canoeing and trekking, the Yaeyama soba we had at the top of the waterfall was exquisite! The snack of mochi wrapped in the leaves of the sweet flag was also delicious.

It was a cool day in late September, so it was a bit chilly when we jumped into the waterfall pool, but the fun outweighed that, so it was totally bearable (laughs).

ガイドさんの知識も豊富で動植物の名前や解説がためになりましたし、危険な生き物や場所の説明もしっかりして頂き安心して楽しむことができました！

カヌー→トレッキングでひとしきり動いた後、滝の上で頂いた八重山そばは絶品！おやつの月桃の葉の柏餅も美味しかったです。

9月下旬の涼しい日だったので滝壺に飛び込んだ時は少し寒かったですが楽しさの方が勝っていたので全然耐えられました（笑）

Originally, I had signed up for the SUP @ Mangrove and snorkeling tour at Barasu Island, but due to poor conditions around Barasu Island, I received an inquiry the day before asking, "Would you like to cancel? Or switch to another tour?" Since I was already there, I decided to book the trekking and SUP @ Mangrove tour, and that turned out to be a great decision! The instructor, Matsuko, had only been there for a few months, but she was very knowledgeable about Iriomote Island. She shared many interesting tidbits during our travel, including stories about the road construction that was halted and a simulator game at the wildcat museum.

After arriving, we all moved to the point with a simple mountain climb. Along the way, she introduced us to the flora and fauna of Iriomote Island. Coincidentally, there were four couples participating, including my husband and me: a couple who were masters of remote islands, a chatty couple from Kansai (Shikoku), and a calm yet friendly couple. Everyone was very approachable, and we became close through activities like diving. My usually quiet husband seemed to have a lot of fun, adding his own flair during the dives and really enjoying himself. At the end of the activities, the remote island master couple recommended a dining spot, which we promptly visited. The other couples also enjoyed hearing stories about different remote islands from them. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories, instructor Matsuko, and to all the couples! Oh, and about the clothing: I thought I would be wearing a wetsuit over my swimsuit, so I wore my swimsuit, but the equipment provided included only a helmet, shoes, and a jacket. Everyone else was dressed in T-shirts or rash guards over their swimsuits, and shorts or leggings. I didn't have those, so I ended up wearing pajamas (short-sleeved & relaxed fit) over my swimsuit, which felt quite silly and embarrassing, especially since it would be captured in photos (though it could make for a funny story). I think it would be wise to consider your outfit if you participate!

もともと、SUP@マングローブとバラス島上陸のシュノーケルツアーを申し込んでいましたが、バラス島周辺のコンディションが悪く、「キャンセルしますか？別のツアーにしますか？」の問い合わせが前日にありました。折角なのでトレッキングとSUP@マングローブでツアーを申し込んだ所、それがもう大正解！インストラクターのマツコさんはまだ来て数ヶ月との事でしたが、西表島の事をよくご存知で、道路工事が途中で中断してしまった話や、ヤマネコの博物館(？)のシュミレーターゲームの話などなど、移動中に小ネタを沢山話してくれました。到着後、皆でポイントまで簡単な山登りをしながら移動。途中、西表島の動植物についても紹介してもらいました。たまたま参加していたメンバーが、私達夫婦を含めて4カップル。離島マスター夫婦、お喋り関西人夫婦(四国)、穏やかだけど気さくに話せる夫婦、とメンバーも皆親しみやすく、飛び込みを始めとしたアクティビティを通じて仲良くなりました。普段寡黙な主人も相当楽しかったようで、飛び込み時にアレンジを加えたり、凄く楽しんでいました。アクティビティ終わりには離島マスター夫婦からおススメの食事処を教えてもらい、早速訪ねてみました。他の夫婦達も離島マスター夫婦から別の離島の話を聞いたりして楽しんでました。本当に最高の思い出をありがとうございました、インストラクターのマツコさん、それぞれの夫婦の皆さま！残りの旅を楽しんでください！

そうだ、あとは、服装ですが、私は水着の上からウェットスーツを着用すると思ったので、水着を着て行ったのですが、装備として渡されるのは、ヘルメットとシューズとジャケットのみなので、皆は水着の上にTシャツやラッシュガード、下はスパッツにハーパンのような格好でした。私はそれらの用意がなかったので、水着の上からパジャマ(半袖&リラコ)を着用して臨みましたが、大分ダサくて恥ずかしかったですし笑、写真にも残ってしまうので(ネタにはなりますが笑)ご参加される際は、格好を考えたほうがいいかもなって思いました。

I had a hard time deciding which tour company to choose among many options, but I decided on Windmill based on their high ratings and the reviews I read. After participating, I can confidently say that choosing this tour was the right decision!

★ About the tour
- I managed to handle canoeing even though it was my first time!
- The trekking was steeper than I expected, so it might be difficult for small children.
- Playing in the water at Pinai Sara Falls was truly refreshing! The view from the top of the waterfall was breathtaking, and we were lucky with the weather, making it the best experience. It was worth the effort to walk through the subtropical forest. It’s still quite hot even in late September.

★ About Windmill
- Since there were only three small groups, I felt secure and not neglected. They paid attention to everyone and checked in with us.
- The guide was polite and kind. They had extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna of Iriomote Island, which made it enjoyable.
- The guide took many photos with their smartphone and sent them to us via AirDrop or LINE after the tour. Since there were many water spots, it was really helpful not to have to take out my own phone.
- You can use the shower room after the activities. Of course, it’s not as clean as a hotel, but it was tidy.

If I have friends going to Iriomote Island, I would recommend this without hesitation! Thank you very much.

たくさんのツアー会社があってどこにしようか悩みましたが、評価の高さと体験談を読んで風車さんに決めました。実際に参加してみて、このツアーを選んで大正解でした！

★ツアー内容について
・カヌーは初めてでもなんとかなりました！

・トレッキングは思っていたよりも険しかったので、小さいお子さんには難しいかもしれないです。

・ピナイサーラの滝つぼ遊びは、本当に気持ち良かったです！滝上から見る景色も絶景で、お天気にも恵まれ最高でした。亜熱帯の森を頑張って歩いた甲斐がありました。９月中〜下旬でもまだまだ暑いです。


★風車さんについて
・３グループの少人数だったので放ったらかしにされることなく安心できました。全員のことをよく見て声掛けしてくれます。

・ガイドさんの対応が丁寧で親切でした。西表島の動植物の知識も豊富で、楽しかったです。

・ガイドさんのスマホでたくさん写真を撮ってくれて、ツアー終了後にはAir dropかLINEで送ってくれます。水場が多く自分のスマホ出しづらいのでこれはすごくありがたいサービスでした。

・アクティビティ後にシャワー室を使用できます。もちろんホテルのような綺麗さではないですが、清潔感はありました。


西表島に行く友人がいたら迷わず進めます！

I love the outdoors, so the trekking with a good workout, the elegant canoeing, and the experience of swimming in the waterfall basin were thrilling and the best I've ever had! The guide was kind to both adults and children, providing lots of encouragement that kept us entertained throughout. The photos and videos taken during the tour were wonderful and have become precious memories of my trip. When I visit Iriomote Island again, I would love to learn more about the island's charm. The hotel pick-up was very helpful, and they provided all the necessary equipment (shoes, life jackets, backpacks, waterproof bags, portable toilets, etc.) for free. I was able to securely store my valuables and change of clothes in a locker beforehand, so I could participate in the activities feeling light and at ease. The guide was friendly, and I heard many enjoyable stories, making the activity time fly by.

The kayaking and trekking were both very fulfilling, and it turned out to be a fun and wonderful day. I'm really glad I came to Iriomote Island! Thank you very much.

The guide Hiro's stories were very interesting!! It was clear that he genuinely cares not only about the customers in front of him but also about the nature of Iriomote Island. I want to participate again. I will come back (^^)

We participated with two elementary school children, making a group of four. It was our first experience with canoeing, but we enjoyed it thanks to the guide's lecture! We were able to go to places that the sightseeing boat couldn't reach, and we really enjoyed observing the mangroves up close. It seems that depending on the tide, we might not be able to go far in, but we could see rare creatures, and since even the kids could paddle, I think it's great for families too.

小学生2人の子供と4人で参加しました。カヌーは初体験でしたが、ガイドさんのレクチャーもあり楽しめました！遊覧船では入れないとこまで行けるし、間近でマングローブを観察出来て本当に楽しめました。潮の時間によっては奥まで行けないこともあるらしいですが、珍しい生物も見れるし子供でも漕げたのでファミリーにも良いと思います。

Canoeing and trekking can indeed be tiring, but the sense of achievement that spreads throughout your body is even more rewarding. Surrounded by 360 degrees of pure nature, I felt an indescribable sense of fulfillment. The highlight, Pinai Sara Falls, offered an incredible view from above. Lying down safely under the guidance of our guide to see the basin from above was a precious experience. After that, we enjoyed hot Yaeyama soba while looking at the waterfall, which filled our stomachs. While playing in the basin after descending, I lost myself in the joy of swimming. I dove from the jumping spot twice and had a blast, something I wouldn't normally do. The guide's explanations were clear, and they were attentive to our needs, allowing everyone to enjoy the tour until the end.

It became the best memory. Thank you very much.

カヌーやトレッキングは確かに疲れますが、それ以上に心地よい達成感が
身体中に広がります。
360度、100％の大自然に囲まれて、何とも言えない充足感に包まれる感覚でした。
ハイライトのピナイサーラの滝は、まず上からの眺めが最高でした。
ガイドさんの案内のもと、安全を確保した上で寝そべるようにして滝の上から滝つぼを見たのは貴重な経験です。
その後、滝を見ながら熱々の八重山そばをいただき、お腹も満たされました。
下に降りてからの滝つぼ遊びでは、我を忘れて泳ぎました。
飛び込みスポットから2回もダイブし、普段では考えられないほどはしゃぎました。
ガイドさんの説明もわかりやすく、細やかに気配りもしていただいたので、全員で最後までツアーを楽しむことができました。

The guide was very attentive, and even the tough journey was enjoyable. The view from above the waterfall was also very beautiful.

Since it was my first time visiting Iriomote Island, I wanted to see the Pinai Waterfall, so I joined the tour. The guide told me it would be quite hard, and I prepared myself for that, but as expected, the trekking was tough since I don't usually exercise. However, they made sure to include plenty of breaks, so it was manageable! Once I climbed to the top of the waterfall and saw the view, all my fatigue disappeared! It was a tour where I could enjoy both canoeing and trekking, making it a great way to experience Iriomote Island in just one day!

初めての西表島観光だったので、ピナイサーラの滝は見ておきたいと思い参加しました。
ガイドさんに結構ハードだよと言われて心づもりしてましたが、その言葉の通りトレッキングは普段運動してない分、ハードでした。でも、休憩もこまめに挟んでくれるのでなんとかなります！笑
滝の上まで登って景色を見たら疲れも吹っ飛びます！カヌーもトレッキングもできて1日で西表島を満喫できるツアーだったので行って正解でした！
