The handmade rice balls we ate at the top of the falls were delicious!

Swimming in the pool at the base of the falls after sweating felt really refreshing.

Due to the conditions of the waves the day before, we were informed that it was possible to change to a half-day canoe and trekking tour (7,000 yen per person). After considering it, I got back to them. When I followed up, I was told that caving was also available, so I requested that tour, but there was no explanation about the pricing at that time, and after the tour, I was charged 12,000 yen per person. I had the understanding that it would be around 7,000 yen, so I would have appreciated a clear explanation if there was a change in the price.

Additionally, after being informed that we could not land on Barasu Island, I booked another tour company, and we were able to land on Barasu Island and go snorkeling.

However, on the day of the tour, there were many people, and I was unsure where to wait for photos in narrow spaces. 前日に波等の関係でバラス島へ上陸できない為、半日のカヌー&トレッキングツアー(1人7,000円)の変更は可能とのご連絡があり、一度検討し折り返しをいたしました。
折り返しした際、ケイビングもできるとのお話でそちらのツアーをお願いしましたがその際料金についての説明はなく、ツアー後1人12,000円を請求されました。7,000円程度実施できるとの認識だった為、料金変更が場合はしっかり説明頂きたかったです。
また、バラス島上陸できない旨の連絡があった後別のツアー会社を予約したところしバラス島への上陸、シュノーケリングの実施ができました。

洞窟探検、カヌー時に生き物の紹介や西表島の紹介をして頂けた点はとても面白く楽しかったですが、当日のツアーも人数が多く、狭い場所での写真撮影はどこで待ってたら良いのか、カヌーで進みながら写真を撮る際にに後ろがつっかえて後ろから突っ込まれたりとしたのでしっかり指示、案内をして頂きたかったのと、ホテル送迎時刻を16:30と伝えられていたが実際到着したのは17:15頃でした。
同じグループの港行きのシャワーを待ち、港に送迎後ホテルに送迎され、
その後の予定もあったので大幅に変更になる際は事務所に多数のスタッフもいた為、ご配慮頂けたら嬉しかったです。

The waterfall and snorkeling were amazing! Every view was beautiful and moving! The guide's stories were also interesting and enjoyable. It was physically demanding, but I felt like I could really enjoy each part! I was able to swim a lot at the waterfall and even saw sea turtles. We got some great photos, so I have plenty of memories. I definitely had muscle pain the next day. The woman's angry voice in the shop was scary. The tour was very fun and made me feel happy!

Originally, I had signed up for the SUP @ Mangrove and snorkeling tour at Barasu Island, but due to poor conditions around Barasu Island, I received an inquiry the day before asking, "Would you like to cancel? Or switch to another tour?" Since I was already there, I decided to book the trekking and SUP @ Mangrove tour, and that turned out to be a great decision! The instructor, Matsuko, had only been there for a few months, but she was very knowledgeable about Iriomote Island. Coincidentally, there were four couples participating, including my husband and me: a couple who were masters of remote islands, a chatty couple from Kansai (Shikoku), and a calm yet friendly couple. Everyone was very approachable, and we became close through activities like diving. My usually quiet husband seemed to have a lot of fun, adding his own flair during the dives and really enjoying himself. At the end of the activities, the remote island master couple recommended a dining spot, which we promptly visited. The other couples also enjoyed hearing stories about different remote islands from them. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories, instructor Matsuko, and to all the couples! Oh, and about the clothing: I thought I would be wearing a wetsuit over my swimsuit, so I wore my swimsuit, but the equipment provided included only a helmet, shoes, and a jacket. Everyone else was dressed in T-shirts or rash guards over their swimsuits, and shorts or leggings. I didn't have those, so I ended up wearing pajamas (short-sleeved & relaxed fit) over my swimsuit, which felt quite silly and embarrassing, especially since it would be captured in photos (though it could make for a funny story). I think it would be wise to consider your outfit if you participate!

もともと、SUP@マングローブとバラス島上陸のシュノーケルツアーを申し込んでいましたが、バラス島周辺のコンディションが悪く、「キャンセルしますか？別のツアーにしますか？」の問い合わせが前日にありました。折角なのでトレッキングとSUP@マングローブでツアーを申し込んだ所、それがもう大正解！インストラクターのマツコさんはまだ来て数ヶ月との事でしたが、西表島の事をよくご存知で、道路工事が途中で中断してしまった話や、ヤマネコの博物館(？)のシュミレーターゲームの話などなど、移動中に小ネタを沢山話してくれました。到着後、皆でポイントまで簡単な山登りをしながら移動。途中、西表島の動植物についても紹介してもらいました。たまたま参加していたメンバーが、私達夫婦を含めて4カップル。離島マスター夫婦、お喋り関西人夫婦(四国)、穏やかだけど気さくに話せる夫婦、とメンバーも皆親しみやすく、飛び込みを始めとしたアクティビティを通じて仲良くなりました。普段寡黙な主人も相当楽しかったようで、飛び込み時にアレンジを加えたり、凄く楽しんでいました。アクティビティ終わりには離島マスター夫婦からおススメの食事処を教えてもらい、早速訪ねてみました。他の夫婦達も離島マスター夫婦から別の離島の話を聞いたりして楽しんでました。本当に最高の思い出をありがとうございました、インストラクターのマツコさん、それぞれの夫婦の皆さま！残りの旅を楽しんでください！

そうだ、あとは、服装ですが、私は水着の上からウェットスーツを着用すると思ったので、水着を着て行ったのですが、装備として渡されるのは、ヘルメットとシューズとジャケットのみなので、皆は水着の上にTシャツやラッシュガード、下はスパッツにハーパンのような格好でした。私はそれらの用意がなかったので、水着の上からパジャマ(半袖&リラコ)を着用して臨みましたが、大分ダサくて恥ずかしかったですし笑、写真にも残ってしまうので(ネタにはなりますが笑)ご参加される際は、格好を考えたほうがいいかもなって思いました。

Since it was scorching hot, I recommend that parents in their 40s and 50s who are desk workers and not used to physical activity really prepare themselves for the summer heat. It's a very enjoyable tour, so I think kids will be just fine! The waterfall was breathtaking and absolutely wonderful!

Also, during low tide, you have to pull the canoe and walk quite a distance on sandy ground, so I believe it could be quite challenging if you don't check the timing. When we went, we barely managed to walk about 20 meters, so we made it back safely.

炎天下ですので真夏はかなり気合いれて参加してください＠デスクワークで体動かしていない４０～５０代のお父さんお母さん。とても楽しいツアーですのでお子さんは全然大丈夫とおもいます！！滝は圧巻ですばらしかった！
なお、干潮時は、カヌーを引っ張ってかなりの距離、砂地歩くのでこの時間帯を確認しないと大変なことになると思います。私らの時はギリギリ、２０ｍほどあるく程度ですんだので、生還できました。

I participated in a day trip from Ishigaki Island. I took the designated ferry at the specified time for the outbound trip and returned on the last ferry at 17:30. The 16:30 ferry would also work, but it might be a bit rushed, so I would recommend the 17:30 one.

The tour itself was amazing!! There were even small children (around 5 years old) participating.

First of all, the male guide was very enjoyable, and I was glad that he provided a thorough guide even during the busy tourist season.

The first half, canoeing and trekking to Pinai Sara Falls, was initially challenging with the canoeing, but as I got used to it, it became fun and I wanted to paddle more. The Pinai Sara Falls were surprisingly impressive, and the rice balls we ate under the falls were delicious. Thanks to the guide, my wife, who is not very athletic, was also able to enjoy it. Since there were small children participating as well, I think anyone without physical limitations can have a good time. (For the canoeing in the first half, it's better to have one strong person paddling for two.)

It was our first time on Iriomote Island with our family of five (with a 9th grader, a 7th grader, and a 4th grader). I was a bit nervous about what to expect, but both the trekking and canoeing were just right for beginners, and we all had a great time. They provided us with hats, bags that could get dirty, and waterproof bags, which was very helpful for our family, as we were all beginners.

We swam in the waterfall pool, and the kids wanted to wear goggles (I think I'll bring goggles next time). Additionally, we received photos via LINE at the end, which became wonderful memories. We were also able to rent a shower and bath towels for an extra fee, so we could clean up before heading back to port.

The cave isn't very long, but the narrowness, darkness, and the stunning views once we emerged were all condensed into a short time, making it an amazing experience. It was suitable even for a third-grade girl, so I highly recommend trying this extraordinary experience. Wearing a rash guard to cover your feet can help protect against injuries, making it easier to walk.

I used this service for the first time.
We went to Yufu Island by water buffalo, and in the afternoon, we did mangrove kayaking and trekking to Pinai Sara Falls.

For lunch, we had handmade, heartfelt rice ball bento, which was incredibly delicious (laughs).

The guide was truly knowledgeable and shared various stories about the flora and fauna of the Yaeyama Islands during the trek.

I really felt that they love the Yaeyama region and their work.

The lecture was also wonderful, and I was able to paddle smoothly in the kayak for the first time.
At Pinai Sara Falls, they took many photos for us and even provided warm drinks, making it a very attentive experience.
