I was worried about the weather, but it held up, and I really enjoyed both canoeing and trekking. The guide was very kind, and everyone applauded their impressive parking skills with the large vehicle. Despite their small frame, they effortlessly carried the canoe and provided various explanations along the way while taking many photos, which they sent to us at the end. I was really happy about that (I can't upload them because my face is in the pictures, but they took a lot of great shots). When we did activities elsewhere, it was hard to get memorable photos of ourselves, so this became a wonderful keepsake. The Pinai Sara Falls were incredibly powerful, and I felt really glad to have come all the way to Iriomote Island! They even carried our lunch and warm miso soup with their delicate frame, which was touching! The view overlooking the bay from the monsoon was also fantastic, and there were cute horses. I would like to use this place again for other activities when the sea and sky are blue.

心配していたお天気もなんとかもってくれて、カヌーもトレッキングもとても楽しめました。ガイドの方もとても親切で、大型車の駐車技術が上手くみんな拍手笑、細腕ながらカヌーをひょいっと運んだり道中いろんな説明をしてくださりながらたくさん写真を撮って最後に送っていただいてとても嬉しかったです（顔が写ってしまってるのでアップロードできないのですが、すごくいい写真を沢山撮ってくれました）。他の所でアクティビティをした時はなかなか自分達の思い出の写真が撮れないのですごくいい記念になりました。 ピナイサーラの滝はものすごい迫力で、西表島のここまできて本当に良かったなと思いました！ お弁当と温かいお味噌汁まで華奢な体で運んでくれていて感動！ モンスーンからの湾を一望できる景色も最高で、可愛い馬もいます。青い海と空の時にまた他のアクティビティをしにこちらを利用したいと思います。

Iriomote Monsoon has very pleasant staff, and the guides taught us very well about canoeing, plants, animals, and the Pinai Sawa Falls. There are accommodations available, and while the rooms have tatami mats and no TV, and the shower and toilet are shared, the view from the high ground overlooking the sea and the proximity to the starry sky make the scenery absolutely wonderful. It might be perfect for nature lovers, hikers, and trekkers. Next time, I would like to try the waterfall course.

西表モンスーンさんはスタッフの皆さんがとても気持ちの良い方たちで、ガイドさんもカヌーの漕ぎ方、植物のこと、動物のこと、ピナイサーラの滝の事などとても良く教えて下さいました。宿泊施設もあって、畳の部屋でテレビは無いしシャワーやトイレは共同だけど、高台で海を一望できるし星空に近いので景色はこの上なく良く、自然や登山、トレッキング好きにはぴったりはまるかもしれません。この次は滝上コースへ行ってみたいな。

It was my first time canoeing and trekking, but I quickly got used to canoeing, and above all, the beauty of the mangroves and jungle! It's an experience I will never forget.

The local guide was very clear and provided explanations about the history and flora and fauna of Iriomote Island! I definitely want to participate again when I come back to Iriomote Island! This tour is highly recommended! The Pinaisara Falls were impressive!

I was able to fully enjoy a day of natural experiences on Iriomote Island, including visiting mangrove forests, canoeing, trekking through subtropical forests, taking in the breathtaking views from the top of Pinaisara Falls, swimming in the waterfall basin, and observing the creatures in the tidal flats. The guide was also very kind, and the lunch we had at the top of the waterfall was delicious.

　マングローブ林の見学、カヌー、亜熱帯の森のトレッキング、ピナイサーラの滝上からの絶景、滝壺での水泳、干潟の生物観察と、西表島における海以外の自然体験を１日で満喫することができました。
　ガイドさんも親切で、滝上でいただいたランチも美味しかったです。

Canoeing and trekking were more fun than I imagined, and I was able to create great memories! The free photos were all excellent shots, and I am very satisfied! I definitely want to participate again.

I had read in reviews that it would be hard, so I was prepared, but it was indeed challenging (^ - ^;
Still, it was worth going!
The weather was great, and it was an amazing day!
The guide explained the plants and animals as we went along, which allowed me to learn new things, and it was very informative. They provided proper support, which made me feel at ease (^_^)
I definitely want to go again.

We had a great time canoeing upstream, and after getting off the canoe, we trekked along a mountain path while our guide shared interesting stories about the nature of Iriomote Island. It was my first time trekking, so it was quite tough, and my knees started to struggle, but I pushed through and reached the top of the waterfall. The view was incredibly beautiful and moving. I'm glad I went. The next day, I had muscle soreness, haha.

カヌーで楽しく上流の方まで行き、カヌーを降りて山道をトレッキングしながら、ガイドさんが西表島の自然について楽しくお話しをしてくれます。
初めてのトレッキングだったので結構きつく膝が上がりにくくなってきましたが、頑張って滝うえに到着し景色を見ると、凄く綺麗で感動しました。行って良かったです。
次の日は筋肉痛でした 笑

Our family of three went on our first trip to Ishigaki Island.
The main event was a tour of Iriomote Island.
Of course, we were full of expectations.
Originally, we had signed up for a full-day tour, but since it involved swimming for an hour and a half at a waterfall, we canceled and chose this half-day tour instead.
I thought half a day would go by quickly, but it was quite the opposite.
We were satisfied with the canoeing and also enjoyed the trekking.
For lunch, we had rice balls, which were very delicious.
Our guide was friendly, and we had a great time.
If we have the opportunity, we will definitely participate again next time.

家族3人で初めての石垣島旅行。
メインは西表島のでこのツアーでした。
もちろん期待満々。
本当は１日ツアーを申し込んだのですが、滝で1時間半泳ぐというので、キャンセルしてこちらにしました。
半日なんてすぐかなぁと思っていたら、とんでもない。
カヌーも満足、トレッキングでも満足。
お昼もおにぎり、とっても美味しかった。
感じの良いガイドさんで、楽しく過ごしました。
機会があれば次回も絶対さんかします。

The night sky in Iriomote was more beautiful and moving than I had imagined. I had made a reservation the night before, but due to the weather not being great, I changed it to the following day. Thanks to that, our guide, Mr. Iwamoto, kept saying how beautiful the sky would be tonight, and it truly was stunning. While kayaking on the Urauchi River and observing the stars, the bioluminescent plankton glowed every time we paddled, allowing us to enjoy both the sky and the water. We also ventured a little into the mangrove forest. The guide provided various explanations along the way, making the experience even more interesting and enjoyable. I am grateful for the beautiful starry sky, the absence of unnecessary lights at night, and the opportunity to fully enjoy the nature of Iriomote through this wonderful tour.

By the way, since I stayed at Nirakanai, I walked to the location, which took about an hour and a half. I brought a flashlight, but they are available for rent. The kayaking was on calm waters, so I hardly got wet. When getting into the kayak, you walk in the water up to your ankles, so it's best to wear something that can get wet (though they inform you about this in advance…).

西表の夜空は想像以上に美しく感動的でした。
前夜に予約していたのですが、天候がいまいちだったので、翌日に変更していただきました。そのおかげで、ガイドの岩本さんも今夜は綺麗に見えますよを繰り返されるほど、綺麗な夜空でした。浦内川をカヤックを漕ぎながらの星空観察で、水面には夜光虫がパドルを漕ぐたびに発光するので、上下と楽しめました。また、マングローブ林にも少しだけ入って行きました。適宜、色々な説明を加えてくださるので、さらに興味深く楽しむことが出来ました。綺麗な星空、無駄な光の無い夜、西表の自然を満喫でき、よいツアーに参加できたことに感謝します。
ちなみにニラカナイに宿泊だったため、移動は徒歩、所要時間1時間半くらい。ライトを持参しましたが、借りられます。穏やかな水面でのカヤックなので、ほぼ水には濡れません。カヤックに乗り込む際に足首くらいまで水中を歩くため足元は濡れてもよい格好がベストです。(事前に教えてくれますが…)

The mangrove canoeing in Iriomote Island offered an incredible experience with nature that exceeded my expectations. The guide's clear instructions and explanations made this tour even more wonderful.
The waterfall trekking was just the right distance, and the breathtaking view and emotions upon reaching Pinaisara were enough to blow away any fatigue!
I only had half a day in Iriomote Island this time, but next time I plan to stay overnight and enjoy it with my friends!

It was a packed half-day experience! Since the rental included river shoes and a river bag, I was able to participate almost hands-free and felt at ease. The guide's explanations were also interesting. I might consider joining for a full day next time!

半日でも盛りだくさんの内容でした！川シューズと川バックのレンタルがついていたのでほぼ手ぶらで安心して参加しました。ガイドさんの解説も面白かったです。今度は1日参加してもいいかもとおもいます！

I was completely satisfied! The guide was fun, and I was able to take a lot of photos! Canoeing for the first time was not difficult once we got started, and by the middle, I felt that everyone around us had grasped the technique. We quickly spotted turtles while snorkeling. Impressive! The sea was clear and beautiful! After getting out of the water, we had quite a bit of time before returning to the boat, which allowed us to take a leisurely shower, enjoy the horses, and relax in the hammock in the garden—those were great memories. It was a tour that made me want to come back here again.

とにかく満足でしかなかったです！
ガイドさんも楽しく、写真もたくさん撮ってもらえました！はじめてのカヌーも漕ぎ出してしまえ ば難しい事もなく、中盤には周りの方たちもコツを掴んでいた様に思います。
シュノーケルでもあっという間にカメを見つけちゃう。さすがです。海も澄んでいて美しい！
海から上がってから船までの時間がけっこうあり、ゆっくりシャワーを借りて、馬さんを愛でたり、お庭のハンモックに揺られたりしながら過ごせたのもいい思い出です。
またここでと思えるツアーでした。

The Uehara Port transfer is convenient; just take the 7:40 boat to arrive at the meeting point by 8:30.

First, there’s a brief kayaking lesson, followed by a hike up to the waterfall where we can take photos and enjoy some ramen during a break. The guide will check on everyone's condition, and if everyone is okay, we’ll head to the lake below the waterfall for a swim.

Overall, the itinerary is well arranged, with enough rest time, and the guide is enthusiastic and polite.

However, it would be better if the guide could take more photos for everyone.

I had an absolutely wonderful time! We paddled canoes for a long time and hiked up the mountain, but surprisingly, we reached the top of the waterfall quite easily and enjoyed the best view. The Yaeyama soba after the exercise was also very delicious.

長い時間カヌーを漕いだりトレッキングで山を登ったりするのですが、意外とすんなり滝上まで到達でき、最高の眺めを見ることができました。運動後の八重山そばもとても美味しくいただけました。

The refreshing feeling of canoeing in a river surrounded by greenery, the sense of achievement upon reaching a waterfall during trekking, and the liberating sensation of jumping into the waterfall pool with that high energy—just the morning alone was more than satisfying. After that, I was able to enjoy snorkeling comparable to diving at the miraculous island, which was incredibly fulfilling. I had the best day ever. Next time, I want to stay on Iriomote Island and join a sunset tour as well.

緑に囲まれた川でカヌーをする爽快感、トレッキングで滝に到達した時の達成感、そのハイテンションで滝壺に飛び込む開放感、午前だけでも充分満足なのに、その後に奇跡の島でダイビング並のシュノーケリングができて、充実し過ぎでした。サイコーの一日を過ごせました。この次は西表島に泊まってサンセットツアーにも参加したいです。

The trekking guide was very kind, and both my daughter, who lacks confidence in her athletic abilities, and I had a great time! During snorkeling, we were able to see a sea turtle in its feeding area, and everyone was very excited. It became a wonderful memory!

トレッキングはガイドさんも親切で、運動神経に自信がない娘と私もとても楽しめました！シュノーケルはウミガメの捕食場面が見られてみんな大興奮でした。いい思い出になりました！

I spent the whole day snorkeling and canoeing at the sea, as well as trekking, and I had a wonderful time! The guide was very friendly and attentive, which made me feel safe and enjoy the experience. The trivia and guidance during the trekking were easy to understand and interesting, and I’m glad I chose this place. I also appreciated that they happily took photos for me, and the service of tea, coffee, and snacks was very soothing. Next time, I would like to not only join the tour but also stay here.

トレッキング中の豆知識やガイドも分かりやすく面白くてここを選んで良かったと思います。
また写真を快く撮って貰ったり、紅茶やコーヒー、お菓子のサービスもあり癒されました。
次はツアーだけでなく、ここで宿泊もしてみたいと思います。

The morning snorkeling was disappointing due to bad weather, but the afternoon canoeing and trekking in the rain was full of jungle exploration vibes. The waterfall's water volume was reportedly four times its usual amount, which was incredibly impressive. Our guide, Aya, was knowledgeable like a botanist and taught us a lot about the vegetation of Iriomote Island.

午前中のシューノケリングは、天候が悪くて残念でしたが、その分雨模様の中午後のカヌー＆トレッキングはジャングル探検感満載でした。
滝の水量も普段の４倍だそうで、凄い迫力でした。ガイドの彩さんは植物学者のような博学で、西表島の植生について詳しく教えて貰いました。

I participated in a half-day course that included canoeing in Iriomote Island and trekking to a waterfall. It lasted from around 9 AM to 2 PM. They provided shoes and hats, and as long as I brought a towel, I could also take a shower (which is paid), making it easy to join.

Our guide, Aya, was very informative, explaining the surrounding flora and fauna during the canoeing and trekking, as well as the importance of typhoons. It was very clear and interesting. I would like to try the full-day course next time!

西表島カヌーと滝壺までのトレッキング、半日コースに参加しました。大体9時から14時くらいまでです。
靴も帽子も貸していただき、タオルさえ持って行けばシャワー（これは有料）もあり、身軽に参加できました。
ガイドのあやさんはカヌー上&トレッキング時も周りの動植物の案内や、台風の必要性について教えてくださるなど、大変わかりやすく、興味深かったです。
次は1日コースに参加してみたいです！

I participated with my elementary school son. The guide was lively and friendly, and although she was cute, she drove like a pro. I was amazed by her extensive knowledge of nature; she really knows the jungle inside and out.

They provide all the equipment, so you can join wearing just a swimsuit and a rash guard. The sun is intense, so a hat is essential, but if you forget one, they will lend you one.

Kayaking was easier than I expected, and we leisurely paddled through scenery reminiscent of the Amazon River. Just this experience alone made it worth participating.

We saw the mystical mangrove forest, along with many TonTonMi and ShioManeki.

After about 40 minutes, we headed deeper into the jungle towards a waterfall, which was quite challenging. It shouldn't be a problem for healthy individuals, but it might be tough for those with bad legs or the elderly. The guide was very knowledgeable about where to step and the dangerous spots, providing careful instructions, but overall, the pace was quite fast, so it was somewhat demanding. Expect to frequently navigate elevation changes of 40 to 50 cm. It was rare to see so many creatures in the jungle, and since the guide was knowledgeable, she taught us everything. It was a valuable experience for the kids.

After sweating a lot, we arrived at the PinaiSara waterfall. Standing right under the 50-meter waterfall was breathtaking! Plus, we could play in the cool pool below and wash off the sweat, which felt amazing.

After cooling off, we had lunch. The guide had carried lunch for everyone. We had two large rice balls, fried chicken, and a boiled egg. It was incredibly delicious and just what our tired bodies needed.

After playing a bit at the waterfall, we returned the same way along the river.

By around 2 PM, we returned to Monsoon, and since I was heading back to Ishigaki, I was able to catch the 2:30 PM ferry. The guide was very efficient in managing the detailed schedule of the half-day course. However, since it was a busy season, there wasn't much time to prepare (the waterfall gets crowded), so the overall pace was quick. Be well-prepared before joining.

My son really liked the guide and said he definitely wants to participate again! (laughs)

小学生の息子と二人で参加しました。ガイドのお姉さんは快活、気さくな方で、可愛らしいのに運転は男勝り、なにより自然の知識が豊富で驚かされました。ジャングルを知り尽くしてます。
道具は全て貸してくれるので、水着とラッシュガードで参加できます。日差しがすごいので帽子は必須で、忘れた場合はこちらも貸してくれます。
カヤックは思ったより簡単で、アマゾン川のような景色の中をのんびりと進んで行きます。もうこれだけで参加して良かったと思いました。
マングローブの神秘的な森や、トントンミー、シオマネキが沢山見れます。

40分くらい進むと、そこからはジャングルを滝目指して進んで行きますが、結構ハードです。健常者なら問題ありませんが、足が悪い人やお年寄りは厳しいのではないでしょうか。ガイドさんは足の掛け場所や危ない場所など熟知していて丁寧に教えてくれますが、全体として進むスピードが早めなのでそれなりに大変です。4〜50cmの高低差を頻繁に越えると思ってください。ジャングルでも珍しく生き物が沢山見れて、しかもガイドさんが詳しいので何でも教えてくれます。子供には貴重な体験です。

汗をたっぷりかいた所でピナイサーラの滝に到着。50mの滝の真下は圧巻！更にその冷たい滝壺で遊んで汗を流せます。これが最高に気持ちいいです。
汗を流した所でランチ。ガイドさんが全員分のお弁当を担いでくれてたんですね。大きなオニギリ２つと唐揚げ、ゆで卵。これがもう、疲れた身体に最高に美味しかったです。
滝で少し遊んで、同じ道、川を戻ります。

モンスーンに戻って14時位、自分は石垣に戻るので14時半の定期船に乗れました。
半日コースの緻密なスケジュールを、テキパキこなすガイドのお姉さんはとても優秀です。
ただ繁忙期という事もありゆっくり準備している余裕はない（滝が混んでしまう）ので、全体として進捗は早めです。準備は万端で参加しましょう。
息子はガイドのお姉さんがえらく気に入ったそうで、また必ず参加すると息巻いてました（笑）

I went to Ishigaki Island with my girlfriend for the first time, and since we wanted to do something island-like, we signed up for this tour. We were very satisfied as we enjoyed the sea, rivers, and waterfalls. Thanks to the owner who guided us during snorkeling, we were able to see a lot of fish. In the afternoon, we enjoyed canoeing and trekking, and it truly felt like a real jungle cruise. The guide was a friendly woman, and it became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

初めて彼女と石垣島にいったのですが、どうせなら島らしいことをしようと、このツアーに申し込みました。海も川も滝も楽しめて大満足でした。シュノーケルの際は、オーナーに案内していただいたおかげで沢山の魚が観れました。午後は、カヌーやトレッキングを楽しみましたが、まさにリアルジャングルクルーズの気分でした。ガイドさんも気さくな女性でとても良い思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

The Yaeyama soba prepared at the top of the waterfall was really delicious. The portion for one is quite generous, but after enough exercise, I could easily finish it off! 😊

Since we departed from Ishigaki Island early in the morning (7:40), we arrived at Iriomote Island feeling energetic and without any seasickness. The staff was easy to find right after we left the port, which was great!

After moving from the port to the office for some explanations and preparations, we set off for the canoe point. Thanks to a proper briefing just before we started and the gentle current, canoeing wasn't too difficult. In fact, the sunlight, which I usually dislike, felt wonderful, and I enjoyed the breeze—it was the best time!

After canoeing, we began a 50-minute trek! I was a bit discouraged at the start by the steep stone stairs, as I lack confidence in my physical strength. However, listening to stories about the plants and encountering animals like lizards, along with taking regular breaks, helped me push through the steep path without losing heart, and we safely reached the waterfall! The view from the top of the waterfall was truly beautiful, and I couldn't help but exclaim in awe. The mangroves, the sea, and even Hatoma Island were all stunning, making for an emotional experience. The warm Yaeyama soba we had for lunch was a perfect comfort for my tired body. I am truly grateful to the guide who carried the heavy bags for us!

On the way down, our group had become friendly, and chatting made the descent feel quick! After about 20 minutes of walking, we headed towards the waterfall basin. We all swam in the refreshing waterfall basin filled with negative ions, washing away a lot of sweat. The snacks and warm tea provided afterward were absolutely delicious!

By the time we were canoeing back, the water level had dropped significantly, allowing us to observe the mangrove roots that we couldn't see on the way in, and we spotted crabs in the sandy areas. It was wonderful to enjoy a different side of Iriomote than in the morning!

This tour allowed us to fully enjoy nature in 7-8 hours, and I’m really glad I participated. Our guide, Hiro, was always cheerful and great at keeping the energy up, providing excellent support throughout. Thank you for all the interesting stories! If I have the chance, I would love to join again! I look forward to it!

【Things I was curious about beforehand】
- You actually need 1.5L of water! It doesn't feel too heavy while climbing. You can purchase it at a reasonable price at the office.
- Considering the grass on the trekking course and sunburn during canoeing, I recommend wearing long-sleeve leggings or a T-shirt over your swimsuit, or rash guard leggings! Since you’ll get wet, lightweight clothing might be better. It gets really muddy, and the stains didn’t come out.
- There was a rental option for a large backpack that can get dirty.
- Sandals were fine for shoes. I was able to borrow a nice pair. No need for socks.
- The guide provided photos from the day.
- There aren't many restrooms after departure, but since I sweat a lot, I didn't feel the need to go too often.
- After returning, there was a spacious shower room to change in.
- Even those who don’t usually exercise will be fine! You might feel sore the next day, but if you're worried, it might be good to train a bit by skipping steps or something!

石垣島からの出発だったので朝が早かった(7：40)ですが、船酔いすることもなく元気に西表島に到着できました。スタッフさんが港を出てすぐの分かりやすい場所にいてくださったのですぐに見つけることができました★
港から事務所に移動し、説明や準備をした後にカヌーポイントまで出発しました。

カヌーはちゃんとした直前レクチャーのおかげと、緩やかな流れもあったために、あまり大変ではありませんでした。それよりも日頃は嫌な太陽光もとても気持ちよく、ゆっくりと風を感じられて最高の時間でした(^^♪

カヌーを終えたら50分ほどのトレッキングのスタートです！すぐに見えてきた急な石の階段に、体力に自信がない私は初めから挫けそうになりました。。しかし、植物の話を聞いたり、トカゲなどの動物に出会ったり、休憩をこまめに取りつつ進んでくださったので、2、30分の急勾配な道も心折れることなく進め、無事滝に辿り着きました！
滝の上からの眺めは本当に美しくて思わず声がこぼれました。マングローブや海はもちろん鳩間島も綺麗に臨め、感動的な体験でした。昼食で作っていただいた温かい八重山そばは、疲れた体に染み渡りました。重い荷物を背負って登ってくださったガイドさんに心から感謝・・！

下るときにはグループ皆が仲良くなっており、話ながらの下山はアッという間！また20分ほど歩き滝壺に向かいました。マイナスイオン溢れる滝壺で皆で泳ぎ、大量の汗を綺麗さっぱり流しました。冷えて疲れた体に出していただいたお菓子と温かいお茶が本当に美味しかったです(^^)

帰りのカヌーの頃には水嵩がかなり減り、行きには見れなかったマングローブの根を観察できたり、砂場に蟹さんたちが現れたり、朝とは違った西表の表情が楽しめたことがとても良かったです★

7-8時間で大自然を心行くまで満喫できるツアーで、参加して本当に良かったです。ガイドのひろさんもずっとニコニコ盛り上げ上手で、全力でサポートしてくださる姿勢が素晴らしかったです。色々な面白い話も有難うございました！(笑)機会があればまた参加したいです！その時はよろしくお願いします

【事前に気になったこと】
・水は実際1.5L必要でした！登るときもそれほど重く感じません。良心的な値段で事務所で購入可能です
・トレッキングコースの草やカヌー中の日焼けを考えると水着の上に長袖レギンスかTシャツ、ラッシュガードレギンスがお勧めです！水浸しになるので薄手のほうが良いかもです。泥汚れすごくします。落ちませんでした
・汚れても良い大容量リュックの貸し出しがありました
・靴はサンダルで行って大丈夫でした。立派なものを借りれました。靴下もいりません
・ガイドさんが当日の写真を下さいました
・トイレは出発後はなかなか無いですが、汗で出てしまったのでそれほどトイレに行きたくなる心配はありませんでした
・帰ってからは広いシャワー室で着替えができました
・普段運動してない人でも大丈夫です★次の日筋肉痛にはなりますが(笑)心配なら二段飛ばしなどで鍛えておくと良いかもしれませんよ(笑)

After the rain from the previous day, the sun began to peek through, and my sister and I finally participated in the activity we had been eagerly waiting for. It was a fantastic experience filled with a variety of activities including canoeing, trekking, and water play, with the reward being a breathtaking view from above the waterfall.

The canoeing started with thorough instructions on how to hold the paddle and row, allowing us to set off safely. Although we struggled at first, once we got the hang of it, we glided smoothly along. The mangrove forest surrounding us was a landscape we would never see in the city, and it was truly moving. We took several photos with the waterfall in the background.

After about 30 minutes of paddling, we docked by the riverbank and began our trek. It was quite steep, and just when I started to feel tired, we reached the top of the waterfall. The stunning view of the green forest and the blue sea and sky below was breathtaking. The Yaeyama soba made by our guide was delicious, and I slurped up every last drop of the broth.

The view from the waterfall basin was completely different and incredibly powerful. The water was still cold, and even though we were tired, it invigorated us, and we had a great time. After a short break, we pushed ourselves to canoe through the mangrove forest, giving it our all until the very end.

I truly felt grateful for the choice made through Veltra. They provided all the necessary equipment for trekking and canoeing, such as trekking shoes, life jackets, and backpacks, completely free of charge. The guide's explanations were thorough, and I learned a bit more about the local plants and animals. I saw a large ant nest and a blue-tailed lizard for the first time.

They informed us in advance how long it would take to walk to the next destination, which helped us visualize how much longer we needed to push ourselves. They allowed plenty of breaks and adjusted the walking pace, making it accessible for those who are not used to trekking.

At the main spots, they took plenty of photos, allowing us to enjoy our time taking pictures to our heart's content. Of course, there was a bus to pick us up, and they provided the service of taking us back to our hotel, which was very thoughtful.

It became a wonderful memory. Thank you so much. Of course, I will come again. Next time, I plan to reattempt the "Barasu Island Stargazing Night Tour" listed on Veltra, which was canceled due to bad weather despite my reservation this time.

　前日の雨から晴れ間ものぞくようになる中、姉妹二人で待ちに待ったアクティビティへの参加となりました。一日でカヌー、トレッキング、水遊びとバラエティーに富み、ごほうびは滝の上からの絶景という最高の体験でした。
　カヌーは最初にパドルの持ち方や漕ぎ方をしっかり指導してくれたので安全に出発できました。なかなか進まなかったのが、コツをつかむとスイスイといくようになりました。周りのマングローブの林は都会では当然、見ることのない風景で、とても感動的でした。やがて視界に入った滝をバックに何枚も写真を撮ってもらいました。
　３０分ほど漕いだ後は、川辺に係留して、トレッキングとなりました。けっこう険しくて、疲れたと思い始めたころに滝の上に着きました。眼下に広がる緑の林や青い海や空といった絶景に目を見張りました。ガイドのお兄さんが作ってくれた八重山そばがとてもおいしくて、つゆも最後の一滴まですすりました。
　そのあとで向かった滝つぼは、上からの風景とは違って、迫力満点でした。水はまだ冷たく、体は疲れているのに逆に引き締まる中で、大はしゃぎとなりました。ひと休みして、もう一頑張りとばかりにカヌーでマングローブの林を抜けるなど、最後まで全力を出しきりました。
　ベルトラを通じた風車さんの選択で本当によかったと思っています。
　トレッキングシューズやライフジャケット、リュックサックなどトレッキングやカヌーに必要な道具をずべて無料で貸し出してくれました。
　ガイドさんの説明が丁寧で、現地の植物や動物について少し詳しくなりました。大きなアリの巣や尻尾が青いトカゲを初めて見ました。
　次の目的地まで歩いてどれくらい時間がかかるのか、事前に教えてくれるので、あとどのくらい頑張ればいいのかをイメージできました。その場その場で休憩時間を十分にとり、歩くスピードも調整してくれました。これならトレッキングに慣れていない人でも無理なく参加できると思えました。
　メインのスポットでは写真タイムをしっかり撮ってくれて、気の済むまで撮影を楽しむことができました。
　もちろん迎えのバスもあり、帰りは宿泊のホテルまで送ってくれるというサービスも付くなど至れり尽くせりでした。
　素敵な思い出となりました。本当にありがとう。もちろん、また来ます。その時は、今回予約しながらも悪天候で催行不可となったベルトラ掲載の「バラス島星空観賞ナイトツアー」に再チャレンジです。

The one-hour hike to an elevation of just 130 meters revealed a breathtaking view that far exceeded my expectations. I felt a surge of gratitude, thinking, "I'm so glad I came." A refreshing breeze swept across my cheeks, which were damp with sweat, while the guide's explanations resonated pleasantly in my ears.

The Pinai Falls has a drop of 55 meters and is said to be the largest in Okinawa Prefecture. It is unique to Iriomote Island, which has the second-largest area in the prefecture and is rich in nature. "Pinai" means "beard," and "sara" means "something that hangs down." It seems that the rock forming the waterfall resembles an old man's face, with the water flow appearing like a long beard.

Having just passed through a typhoon, the water volume was abundant, and the flow was magnificent. In the distance, the marine blue sea and sky blue sky sparkled. Near the horizon, there was Barasu Island, made of coral fragments, and beyond it floated Hatoma Island.

In the foreground, I could see Funauka Bay, and part of the underwater road that connects the east and west of the island, which is also part of Prefectural Road 215. Below, a stream ran through a mangrove forest. It was the Hinai River, and I could see the spot where the canoes, which were our first means of transport for the tour, were moored. The thought of "So we climbed up from there" amplified my emotions, and I found myself reflecting on the journey I had taken.

The trekking was more akin to a stroll than a climb, and along the way, the guide shared stories about the nature, climate, and history of Iriomote Island.

The first thing I spotted was a blue Ishigaki lizard, about 10 centimeters long. I was surprised by a large nest of Takasago white ants and observed the ant trails left on the tree trunk. I learned not to carelessly put my hands into puddles due to concerns about infectious diseases, and although malaria, brought by the Portuguese, has now been eradicated, it had previously hindered human activities and development, resulting in the preservation of rich nature.

Next, the refreshing experience of bathing in the waterfall pool was truly invigorating. Looking up at the stunning view above the falls, I was convinced that the flow itself was a magnificent sight. The waterfall pool, which can get as crowded as a public pool at peak times, was fortunate enough to be exclusively ours due to the time difference with the preceding group.

I heard that this "Mangrove Canoe + Trekking to the Pinai Falls Pool" is the most popular activity among the many available on Iriomote Island. Many operators run tours, and at times, around 200 people aim for the falls in a single day. I had previously used "Veltra" in Hawaii, and my trust in the guide contributed to my choice this time. On the way back, with the waterfall behind us, I leisurely paddled down the Hinai River in the canoe, rejoicing in the certainty of my choice for the "best experience."

　たかだか標高１３０㍍地点まで１時間弱の山登りで目にしたのは予想をはるかに上回る絶景でした。「来てよかった」との思いが込み上げました。じわりと汗が伝う頬を爽やかな風が吹き抜けました。そのかたわらでガイドさんの説明が心地よく耳に響きました。
　ピナイサーラの滝は落差が５５㍍で沖縄県内では最大だそうです。県内２番目の面積で自然豊かな西表島ならではです。ピナイは「顎髭」、サーラは「下がったもの」との意味です。滝をなす岩が老人の顔で、水の流れが長い顎髭に見えることからのようです。
　ちょうど台風一過とあって、水量は豊富で、流れは豪快でした。遠くに目をやると、マリンブルーの海とスカイブルーの空がきらめいていました。その境目あたりに、サンゴのかけらでできたバラス島があり、その向こうに鳩間島が浮かんでいました。
　手前には船浦湾を望み、島の東西を結ぶ県道２１５号の一部でもある海中道路が見えました。眼下には、マングローブの林の中を一条の筋が走っていました。ヒナイ川であり、その端にツアーの最初の移動手段となったカヌーを係留した場所が確認できました。「あそこから登って来たのか」との思いが感動を増幅し、いつしか、それまでの行程を振り返っていました。
　トレッキングは山登りというよりは散策に近いもので、途中、ガイドさんが西表島の自然、風土、歴史などを語ってくれました。
　最初に目にしたのは体長１０㌢ほどの青いイシガキトカゲでした。そして、タカサゴシロアリの大きな巣に驚き、木の幹に残るアリの道を確認しました。感染症を警戒する意味で、水たまりなどへはむやみに手を入れたりしないこと、ポルトガル人が運んできたマラリアが今では根絶されたものの、人の営み、開発を阻み、結果として豊かな自然が残ったことなどを教わりました。
　そして、次に向かった滝つぼでの水浴は実に爽快でした。絶景を楽しんだ滝の上を見上げ、流れ自体も荘厳なる絶景であることを確信しました。「多いときは市民プール並みの混雑になる」という滝つぼは、先行グループとの時間差もあり、自分たちのグループだけで独占するという幸運に恵まれました。
　この「マングローブカヌー+トレッキング　ピナイサーラの滝つぼ」は西表島の数あるアクティビティーの中で一番人気と聞きました。多くの業者がツアーを催行していて、多いときは一日２００くらいが滝を目指すそうです。「ベルトラ」は以前、ハワイ島で利用した経験があり、ガイドさんへの信頼が今回の選択にもつながりました。帰路、滝を背に、ヒナイ川をカヌーでのんびり行く中で「最高の体験」への選択の確かさを喜びました。

I participated with my partner.
At first, we were picked up by a shuttle bus from the Ishigaki Island ferry terminal to Ueshima Port. After arriving, we organized our luggage and were provided with waterproof bags, shoes, and backpacks for free. We were told to bring about 1.5 liters of water per person, so we purchased water and sports drinks, which turned out to be just about the right amount (laughs).
After that, we took a bus to the starting point. After going over canoeing precautions and practicing, we paddled to the trekking point. It was quite enjoyable, and the breeze felt nice. If you have a hat, be careful not to lose it.
Upon arrival, we started trekking towards the top of the waterfall. I thought it would be tough at first because of the steep slopes, but it was more fun than I expected. Once we reached the top of the waterfall, we took photos and had lunch! They made us Yaeyama soba, and the delicious salty broth was amazing. After taking a break and playing at the water spot, we headed down to the waterfall basin! Honestly, this part was quite exhausting; it was hot, and I spoke less (laughs). However, after changing into our swimsuits and jumping into the water at the basin, I felt completely revitalized! The water was cold and refreshing, and we were allowed to jump in. After a short break, we enjoyed warm tea and homemade rice cakes, which helped us regain our energy. Then we returned to the canoe point and paddled back the way we came. I was filled with a sense of fulfillment and fun at that moment, and I paddled slowly to savor the experience a little longer.
Upon arrival, they collected our shoes and backpacks without needing to wash them, which was convenient. After returning, I was able to take a warm shower, which was comfortable.
On the way back, they provided pick-up and drop-off according to our respective schedules.

I may not have conveyed it well with my clumsy writing, but it was truly a fun time. I think the sense of fulfillment I felt during my four-day stay in Ishigaki Island was the best. Thank you very much!

初めは石垣島の離島ターミナルから、上島港に向かいそこで送迎バスに迎えていただきました。到着後荷物の整理を行い、防水バック、シューズ、リュックを無料で貸していただきました。その際水分が一人当たり1.5L程持って行ってほしいと言われお水とスポーツドリンクを購入させていただき、実際それくらい必要でした(笑)
その後、バスに乗って出発ポイントへ向かいました。カヌーの注意事項や練習を行った後、カヌーに乗ってトレッキングポイントまで漕ぎました。ここもかなり楽しく風邪も気持ちよかったです。帽子をお持ちの方は飛ばされないようにしてください。
到着後はトレッキングで、滝うえを目指します、結構な斜面も登るので初めはこれは大変だと思っていましたが、それを上回る楽しさがありました。滝うえについたら写真撮影をした後お昼ご飯！八重島そばを作っていただき、旨しょっぱいダシが美味しくて最高でした。休憩しつつ水場で遊んだ後、下っていき次は滝つぼへ！正直ここがかなりしんどかったです、熱くて言葉数が少し減りました(笑)しかし、滝つぼ到着後水着に着替えて水に入ったとき一気に回復しました！！冷たくて気持ちよく、飛びこみもさせてもらえました。少し休憩をはさんで、あったかいお茶と手作りのお餅をいただき体力的にも回復しました。そしてカヌーのポイントまで戻り、帰るため来た道を漕いで帰りました。この時が楽しかったーーーーっという充実感でいっぱいで、もう少しこの時間を味わいたいとゆっくりめにカヌーを漕ぎました。
到着し、靴やリュックは洗わずそのまま回収していただき手間がありませんでした。帰った後は暖かいシャワーを浴びさせていただき、快適でした。
帰りはそれぞれの時間に合わせて送り迎えをしていただきました。

つたない文章で伝わらないかもしれませんが、本当に楽しい時間でした。
充実感は石垣島に4日間宿泊したのですが一番だったと思います。

The guide was very clear and enjoyable in teaching us about life on Iriomote Island, as well as the creatures and ecosystems of the jungle. Thanks to this, the approximately 50-minute trek to the waterfall was not difficult at all. Additionally, because the guide is physically strong and knowledgeable, I believe you can participate here with confidence.

For items to bring, shoes and backpacks are available for rent, so you can buy drinks, but since it's recommended to bring 1.5 liters per person, I suggest bringing sports drinks. The jungle has high humidity, and without wind, it feels like a sauna. After sweating well, you can cool off by bathing in the water at the top of the waterfall and then walking down to the basin, which feels great.

If you're considering a trekking tour to Pinaisara Falls, I highly recommend this tour.

ガイドさんは非常にわかりやすく楽しく西表島の生活についてや、ジャングルの生き物・生態系について教えてくれました。このおかげで、滝上までの約50分の道のりもつらくなかったです。また、肉体的にたくましく知識も兼ね備えているためここのガイドさんなら安心して参加できると思います。
持ち物はシューズ、リュックを貸出ししているので飲み物は買えますが1.5l/1人は必要とのことでしたからスポーツドリンクを持参することをお勧めします。ジャングルは湿度が高く風が吹かないとサウナのようで、いい汗をかいた後に滝上で水を浴び、また歩いて滝つぼに入ればクールダウンできて気持ちいいです。
