I participated in the tour on May 19, 2018.

We were staying in Ishigaki Island, so we took a high-speed ferry from the Ishigaki Island Terminal at 8:30 to Uehara Port on Iriomote Island. Upon arrival at Uehara Port, we were greeted and transported by car.

There were many foreign participants in the tour, which made us a bit worried since we only speak Japanese, but we had no concerns at all as the foreign guests were on a separate itinerary.

Canoeing:
I’m not very athletic and had trouble getting used to canoeing, which caused some inconvenience to others, but our guide, "Dai-chan," supported us, allowing me to enjoy it 200%! It was a very rare experience to see the mangroves up close while canoeing!

Trekking (Pinaisara Falls Summit):
There were a few steep climbs and challenging spots, but they were manageable. (I think anyone who can normally go up and down stairs will be fine.) Our guide, "Dai-chan," provided fun and easy-to-understand explanations at various points and when we encountered wildlife, which made it easy to listen. The Okinawa soba we had at the top of the falls was hearty, delicious, and very satisfying.

Pinaisara Falls (the basin):
We had the option to go to the basin or not, but I believe everyone should definitely go. The view of the falls from below was spectacular, and playing in the basin was a lot of fun, creating wonderful memories. The warm tea and the unique rice cake snacks after playing in the basin were a great touch of hospitality.

Finally…
This was our first time in Iriomote Island, but thanks to the amazing location, activities, and great guides, it was an experience worth more than the price. At first, I thought, "Are the other reviewers really giving it five stars? Isn’t that exaggerated?" but it truly deserves more than five stars. Thank you for the valuable experiences and memories.

私どもは、石垣島に滞在していたので、8:30に離島ターミナルから高速船に乗って西表島の上原港へ向かいました。
上原港でお出迎えがあり、車で送迎。

ツアーには外国籍の方も多々いて、日本語以外を話せない私たちには、少し心配でしたが、外国籍の方々とは別行動でしたので、まったく心配ありませんでした。

カヌー：
運動音痴で、カヌー操作がなかなか慣れず、皆さんに迷惑をおかけしてしまいましたが、担当ガイドの"大ちゃん"がサポートしてくれたので、200%楽しむことができました！
マングローブを目の前で、しかもカヌーで観れたのは、非常に貴重な体験でした！

トレッキング（ピナイサーラの滝の頂上）：
少しだけ急登や難所がありましたが問題ありませんでした。（普通に階段の登り降りができれば、 大丈夫だと思います）
色々なポイント説明や、生き物などに遭遇した時も、担当スタッフである"大ちゃん"が、楽しく・わかりやすく説明してくれたので、 安心して聞けました。
滝の上で食べた ソーキソバは、ボリューム満点で、味もよくて、大満足でした。

ピナイサーラの滝（滝つぼ）：
滝つぼまで、行くか／行かないか選択できましたが、絶対に行くべきだと思いました。
下から見上げる滝も壮観で、滝つぼ遊びも、とても楽しく、最高の思い出になりました。
滝つぼ遊び後の、あたたか～いお茶と、珍しいお餅のお菓子も、すごく良い「おもてなし」でした。

最後に…
私たちは、初めての西表島でしたが、最高のロケーション、アクティビティー、良きガイドさん達のおかげで、お値段以上の体験でした。
最初、ほかのレビュアーさん達が★5個ばかりなので「ほんとかな？大げさじゃないの？」って思っていましたが、★5個では足りないぐらいです。
貴重な体験や思い出をありがとうございました。

After gathering, we first received a canoeing lecture and then set off. Since it was my second time canoeing, I gradually got the hang of it and had a lot of fun. It went by in a flash as we saw various creatures and mangroves.

I was worried about my physical strength before participating in the jungle trekking, but I was able to make it to the top. Since it had rained beforehand, the waterfall had a lot of water and was quite impressive. It wasn't too hot, and I was able to participate on a really nice day.

The sunlight shining through the jungle was very beautiful and memorable. I brought back a mangrove seed that the guide found for us. I will cherish it and take care of it as a memory!

集合後にまずはカヌーのレクチャーを受けて、出発しました。カヌーは2度目だったのでだんだんと思うように操作出来るようになって楽しかったです。色々な生き物やマングローブを見ながらであっという間でした。
ジャングルトレッキングは、参加前は体力に自信がなく心配でしたが、登りきることができました。
雨が降った後だったので滝の水量もあり迫力がありました。そこまで暑すぎずにとってもいい日に参加できました。
ジャングルにキラキラと射し込む太陽の光がとても綺麗で印象的です。
ガイドさんがみつけてくれたマングローブの種を持ち帰りました。思い出に大切に育てます！

Canoeing in the mangroves, trekking to the top of Pinai Sara Falls, and exploring the base of the waterfall. It was an exciting day filled with first experiences.

The trekking was honestly quite challenging, and I thought I might not make it, but our guide carefully checked on everyone's condition and took breaks, so I managed to reach the top. Eating Yaeyama soba while enjoying the breathtaking view was exceptional.

On the way back, I was a bit worried about whether I would be okay, but thanks to our guide's entertaining stories about Iriomote Island, I was able to enjoy the descent. Canoeing was also a first for me, but surprisingly, I handled it quite well.

マングローブでのカヌー、ピナイサーラの滝上、滝壺トレッキング。どれもこれも初体験ばかりで興奮の一日でした。
トレッキングは正直無理かもと思うほど険しい道のりでしたが、ガイドさんが参加者の体調を細かく伺いながら休憩をとってくれたので、なんとか登り切ることが出来ました。絶景を眺めながら食べる八重山そばは格別でした。
帰り道も正直しんどいな、大丈夫かなと少しだけ不安でしたが、ガイドさんの面白い西表島あるあるお話のお陰で、楽しく下山出来ました。
カヌーも初体験でしたが操作は以外と大丈夫でした。

It was a short two-day trip, but I wanted to fully experience the nature of Iriomote Island, so I joined this tour. Canoeing, which was a first for me, was quite challenging to navigate straight, but as long as I took my time and corrected my course while stopping, it was manageable. While paddling, I could feel the wind and enjoy the scent of flowers blooming in the forest and the sounds of birds while walking to the waterfall. Not only did I get to see the magnificent nature, but I was also excited to spot various butterflies, beautiful dragonflies, colorful wild lizards, and cute fish and crabs along the riverbank. The guide and other participants were kind, making it a great experience.

Additionally, before the tour started, the guide recommended that we bring 1.5 liters of drinks for two people or 1 liter per person. I usually don't drink much water, but I found that I consumed more than I expected. There were frequent breaks for hydration during the tour. The weather on the day of the tour was cloudy, typical for just before summer, but since it will get hotter, I think it's a good idea to bring plenty of drinks.

１泊２日の短い旅行でしたが、西表島の自然をめいいっぱい体験したくてこのツアーに参加しました。初体験のカヌーは、まっすぐ進むのがなかなか難しかったのですが、焦らず止まりながら軌道修正しながら進めば大丈夫でした。カヌーに乗りながら風を感じたり、滝へ歩いている途中に森に咲く花の匂いや鳥の声を感じることができました。壮大な自然だけでなく、行く先々でさまざまな蝶々や綺麗な川トンボ、色鮮やかな野生のトカゲ、川辺に住むかわいい動作の魚やカニを見れたのがとてもワクワクしました。ガイドさんもほかの参加者も親切でいい体験になりました。
あと、ツアー開始前の準備時に飲み物は二人で1.5リットル、もしくは１人１リットルをガイドさんから推奨されました。普段あまり水分を摂らないのですが予想以上に飲み物が減りました。ツアー中頻繁に水分補給の時間は設けてくれていました。ツアー当日は夏本番前の曇りがちの天候でしたが、これから暑くなるので飲み物は多めに持っていくのが良いかと思います。

From Ishigaki Island to Iriomote Island for the first time. I took the ferry from Ishigaki to Uehara Port, but I got quite seasick. Since I stayed for one night, I recovered by the next day's tour, and the guide came to pick me up at the hotel. They were very attentive, listening to my concerns about the return ferry even in the car, and they had a bright and friendly demeanor. The weather was perfect for canoe trekking that day, and the guide explained the canoeing instructions clearly before we set off. As we slowly paddled in the canoe, we arrived at the jungle.

During the trekking, the guide shared various stories, and they were very cheerful and friendly, making the climb enjoyable. There were five participants, including myself, and the guide was considerate of everyone while leading the tour, sharing interesting information about Iriomote Island and creating a pleasant atmosphere. They also took great photos. For lunch, we had handmade soki soba, and during snack time, we enjoyed the guide's homemade purple sweet potato mochi and tea, which were delicious! Eating soki soba outdoors was the best, and I felt that this tour allowed me to experience nature and was a wonderful experience overall. Among the various tour companies, I was really glad to have participated in this company's tour, and I fell in love with Iriomote. Finally, they drove me to Uehara Port, and they continued to worry about my seasickness until the end, even remembering the right timing for me to take motion sickness medication... Thank you very much!

石垣島から初の西表島へ。
石垣～上島港行きの船に乗りましたが、かなりの船酔いしてしまい、1泊滞在だったので翌日のツアーで体調は回復し、ホテルまでガイドの方が迎えにきてくださりました。私が帰りの船を心配していたのを、車の中でも親身に聞いてくださり、明るく対応してくれる印象でした。当日はカヌートレッキングするには最高の天気で、まずガイドさんがカヌーのレクチャーを分かりやすく説明してくれてから、いよいよ出発です。カヌーでゆっくりと進みながら、ジャングルに到着です。
トレッキング中はガイドさんが色んな話をしてくださり、とても明るく気さくで、楽しく登ることができました。私を含め5人の参加者がいましたが、みんなにとても気遣いをしながらツアーを進めていて、西表島の事や色んな話をして楽しく、和やかに進めてくれるガイドさんでした。そして、写真も上手に撮ってくれます。お昼は手作りのソーキそば、おやつの時間にはガイドさんの手作り紅芋のおもちとお茶も頂きとても美味しかったです！外で食べるソーキそばは最高で、今回のツアーは自然を味わえ、とてもいい経験ができたと思います。色んなツアー会社がある中で、私はこの会社のツアーに参加できて本当に良かったなと思いました。そして西表が好きになりました。そして最後は上原港まで車で送ってくれましたが、最後まで私の船酔いを心配してくださり、酔い止めの薬を飲むタイミングまでちゃんと覚えてくれて...本当にありがとうございました。

We participated as a couple.
I was excited about my first visit to Iriomote Island, but unfortunately, it was raining and there was thunder, so I thought it might be canceled. However, we started a bit later than planned.
We could choose between a single or double kayak, and I decided to challenge myself with a double kayak with my husband.
It had been a while since I last kayaked, and I found it difficult to go straight. The other participants were foreigners who were very skilled and paddled at an impressive speed, making it hard for us to keep up.
The trekking was more challenging than I expected, but even for a couple like us who don't usually exercise much, we managed to reach the top.
Our guide shared various stories about the history and plants of Iriomote Island, which conveyed the island's charm and made it very interesting.
When we went to the waterfall basin, the weather cleared up completely, and the other participants were swimming in the basin.
It was still cold in April, but it seemed refreshing and pleasant. I slightly regretted not joining them.
On the way back, we were able to paddle comfortably under clear skies.
Even the kayaking in the heavy rain on the way there turned out to be fun in its own way, making it a very enjoyable and fulfilling day.
This trip became my best memory, and I want to visit Iriomote Island many more times!

夫婦での参加でした
初めての西表島にドキドキでしたが　
あいにくの雨、雷も鳴って
中止になってしまうかと思われましたが
少し時間を遅らせてのスタートでした
カヌーは一人乗りか二人乗りが選べ
私は主人と二人乗りに挑戦しました　
久しぶりのカヌーはなかなか真っ直ぐ進みません
他の参加者の方は外国人の方で
とても上手く、すごいスピードで
ついて行くのにやっとでした
トレッキングは思ったより険しい道のりでしたが、普段あまり運動のしない
私達夫婦でも登りきることができました
ガイドさんが西表島の歴史や植物の話など
様々なお話をしてくださり、
西表島の魅力が伝わってきて面白かったです
滝つぼに行くときには
完全に晴れ、私以外の参加者は
滝つぼで泳いでいました
4月なのでまだまだ寒いですが、
さっぱりして気持ちよかったようです
私も入れば良かったと少し後悔。
帰りのカヌーは晴天の中
気持ち良く漕ぐ事ができました
行きの大雨の中のカヌーも
これはこれで楽しかったなぁと思え
とても楽しく充実した1日になりました
この旅行で一番の思い出になり、
西表島にまた何度でも行きたくなります！

I participated in a day trip from Ishigaki Island. I was picked up at Uehara Port on Iriomote Island and joined the other participants.

Our guide was Daichan Asano. He was a charming and handsome guy who casually talked to us and provided thorough explanations!

I felt a connection when I discovered that there was someone from my hometown among the participants.

We started with a mangrove canoe ride. It was just right for my husband and me to ride together. I think it would have been quite hard to do it alone. We did it as a pair, and the next day I had just the right amount of muscle soreness. I guess I'm out of shape, haha.

Next, we went trekking up to the waterfall. We are in our early 30s and late 20s, and it was just a bit challenging, but totally within our limits! Those who lack stamina might find it tough.

The view from the top of the waterfall was outstanding! The lunch that Daichan prepared was delicious!

We then descended the same path to the base of the waterfall. This was the most refreshing part!! I recommend bringing swimwear or clothes that can get wet!!

We jumped in and floated while looking up at the waterfall... Daichan took all the photos for us, so I didn't have to worry about taking pictures myself. It's dangerous to take photos with a camera or smartphone near the water...

I used this opportunity for my honeymoon, and I was very satisfied since I was looking for an active plan like this.

For my first honeymoon, I spent a month and a half in South America, doing a mountain biking tour on the Death Road in La Paz and visiting Machu Picchu and Uyuni. This experience was just as memorable.

Iriomote Island is amazing!! Next time, I want to stay on Iriomote Island as the main destination.

石垣島から日帰りで参加しました。
西表島の上原港でピックアップしてもらい他の参加者さんと合流。

ガイドは浅野大ちゃん。
可愛らしい感じのイケメンで、気さくに話しかけてくれたり、
説明もしっかりしていただきました！

参加者さんの中にまさかの同郷の方がいて縁を感じました。

出発して、はじめはマングローブカヌー。
旦那と２人乗りで、ちょうどよかったです。
1人だとなかなかハードだったかと思います。
2人でやって翌日ほど良い筋肉痛です。運動不足ですね笑

そして次は、トレッキングで滝上へ。
私たちは30台前半と20代後半ですが、
ちょっとしんどいかな？って程度で全然許容範囲内でした！
体力のない人はしんどく感じるかな？

滝上からの眺めは抜群！
大ちゃんが用意してくださったランチおいしかったです！

また来た道を今度は下って滝つぼへ。
これが一番気持ちよかったです！！
水着や濡れてもよい服を持っていくことをおすすめします！！

飛び込んだり滝を見上げながらプカプカ浮かんだり…
大ちゃんが全部写真に収めてくださったので、
自分で写真を撮らなくてよかったです。
水場でカメラやスマホで撮影は危険なので…

今回新婚旅行での利用でしたが、
こんな感じにアクティブなプランを探していたので大満足です。

初婚の時の新婚旅行が、1か月半の南米で
マチュピチュとかラパスのデスロードのマウンテンバイクツアーや
ウユニだったのですが、
それと同じくらいに思い出に残りました。

西表島すごい！！
今度は西表島メインで泊まりたいです。

I participated in this tour during Golden Week!

The scenery of Iriomote Island was very impressive, and there were many things that moved me instinctively. I'm really glad I went.

Above all, the guide who led the tour was very interesting and knowledgeable, teaching us various things. I felt completely at ease and enjoyed the day with them!

If I have the chance to go again, I definitely want to repeat this experience! The windmills were amazing!!!!

I had a fantastic half-day tour that packed in the charm of Iriomote Island, making for a fulfilling and enjoyable experience that flew by. The guide's hospitality was outstanding! The warm lunch and the tea and snacks during tea time were really great. It was also a nice bonus to receive the photo data from the tour for free.

西表島の魅力を半日でぎゅっと盛りだくさんに体験させてくれるツアーで、あっという間の充実した楽しい時間を過ごせました。ガイドさんのホスピタリティーも抜群！温かいランチ、ティータイムのお茶とおやつがすごく良かったです。ツアー中の写真データを無料でくださるのもうれしいポイントでした。

We participated as a couple in our mid-60s. We met our guide at Uehara Port, received explanations, shoes, and life jackets at the Iriomote Monsoon office, and then moved to the location. We slowly paddled up the mangrove river in a two-person canoe while listening to the guide's instructions, and after reaching the shore, we aimed for the Pinaisara Falls. Along the way, we received explanations about various plants and were continually impressed by the guide's extensive knowledge. We enjoyed swimming under the waterfall and cheered with excitement. After returning to the office, while waiting for the boat, we relaxed in a hammock overlooking the sea and fully enjoyed the nature of Iriomote. I was also greatly attracted to the nature-integrated approach of the Iriomote Monsoon team. I thought that next time, it might be nice to stay here. Thank you to the guide and all the staff.

60歳半ばの夫婦で参加しました。上原港でガイドさんと合流し、西表モンスーンの事務所で説明と靴、ライフジャケットを受け取り、現地に移動。二人乗りのカヌーでマングローブの川をガイドさんの案内を聞きながらゆっくり上り、岸についてからピナイサーラの滝をめざしました。途中、いろいろな草木の説明を受け、草木などガイドさんがよく知っていることについて感心することしきり。滝の下でを水浴び、歓声を上げました。事務所に戻り、船を待つ間、海を眼下に見下ろし、ハンモックにゆられ、西表の自然を満喫できました。西表モンスーンの皆様の自然ととけあった対応にも大変心を惹かれました。次に来るときは、ここに泊まりるのがいいかなと思いました。ガイドさん、スタッフの皆さん、ありがとうございました。

We participated as a couple. The day before, we stayed at a lodge on Iriomote Island and received a shuttle service. After a brief overview at the office, we borrowed shoes and backpacks that could get wet, and then we met up with customers coming from Ishigaki Island. Off we went! The weather was cloudy, but it was actually refreshing and comfortable.

We started with a kayaking lecture and then paddled for about 30 minutes. The river had a gentle flow, making it suitable for beginners. The staff were very friendly, sharing jokes and unique conversations while teaching us about the food and culture of Iriomote Island. There were some dangerous spots and steep inclines, and they guided us carefully to avoid pitfalls that first-time travelers might miss, leading us to the top of the waterfall where we enjoyed a wonderful view of the ocean.

For lunch, they made delicious soki soba, and the handmade purple sweet potato mochi wrapped in leaves had a wonderful aroma. We also went down to the waterfall basin to swim, take photos, and then kayaked back.

It was a slow and comfortable time, with the soothing sounds of the forest and river creating a peaceful atmosphere that healed our hearts. The secret toilet was a bit thrilling, so definitely give it a try! Thank you to the handsome staff for a fun and satisfying day!

夫婦2人での参加でした前日は西表島の宿に泊まり送迎していただきました。
事務所で概要の説明があり濡れてもいい靴とリュックサックを借りました、石垣島からの参加のお客様と合流しさぁ出発です 、曇りの天気でしたが逆に涼しくて気持ちの良い温度です
はじめにカヤックのレクチャーを受け30分ほどカヤックで移動しました
初心者でも大丈夫な緩やかな流れの川でした、スタッフはとても気さくで時折冗談やユニークな会話を交わしながら西表島の食べ物や風土などを教えてくれました、 所々危険な場所があり傾斜もきつく初めての旅行者では気がつかないような落とし穴も立ち止まり注意を払って滝の頂上まで誘導していただき海の見える素晴らしい景色を見ることができました。
お昼のソーキそばも彼らが作ってくれて大変おいしかったですまた紫芋の使ったお餅も手作りで葉っぱが巻いてあり香りがとてもよかったです、さらに滝壺まで下り 泳だり 写真を撮って過ごして またカヤックに乗って帰ってきました。
ゆっくりした快適な時間、心地よい森と川の流れ 静かな時間が 心癒やしてくれました(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
秘密のトイレがちょっとスリリングですぜひ体験してください(^｡^)

This time it was just the two of us girls!! We participated in this tour for our first visit to Iriomote Island as classmates!! The guide carefully taught us how to paddle the canoe, and although I was a bit anxious about whether I could handle 1 kilometer, at the perfect moment when I started to feel tired, the guide explained about the mangroves and the wildlife, allowing us to take a break, so I didn't mind at all!

Having warm Yaeyama soba for lunch in the great outdoors was a precious experience!!!!

The emotions we felt when we reached Pinaisara will be an unforgettable memory!

The waterfall dive was amazing!!

I definitely want to participate again next year.

今回は女子2人!!同級生の二人旅で初めての西表島上陸でこのツアーを参加させて頂きました!!
ガイドさんは丁寧にカヌーの漕ぎ方を教えてもらい1キロ大丈夫かな？と不安もありましたが、疲れてきたなーとゆうタイミングでマングローブや生物の説明をして休憩をしてくれたのでなにもきにならなかったです！
ランチもあったかい八重山そばを大自然の中でたべるとゆう貴重な体験!!!!

そしてたどりついたピナイサーラの感動は忘れられない思い出になりました！

滝壺ダイブも最高!!

また来年も是非参加したいと思います。

To conclude, it was a very satisfying tour. I can recommend it to friends and everyone.

The best part was the lunch enjoyed at the top of the waterfall. It was a lunch surrounded by the negative ions of nature! (The menu is a surprise until you participate!)

Additionally, the photo service was also very satisfying.

The canoe experience was about 30 minutes one way, which is a suitable length, so I think it would be fine for those who are not confident in their physical strength.

The instructor was also great at talking, and we were able to enjoy the trekking.

This tour allows you to experience the great nature of Iriomote Island. I highly recommend it!

結論から、とても満足できたツアーです。
友人、皆様にもおすすめできます。

一番よかった点は、滝の頂上で楽しむことが出来たランチです。
大自然のマイナスイオンの中でのランチです！
（メニューは参加してからのお楽しみで！）

また、写真のサービスもあり大満足です。

カヌー体験も、片道30分程度と、適当な長さの為、
体力に自信のない方でも、問題ないかと思います。

引率のインストラクターさんも、トークが上手く、

This was my first trip to Ishigaki Island with him. Since we wanted to visit Iriomote Island as well, we found this tour. It was a one-day course, so I was worried about my stamina, but there were breaks, and I was able to enjoy it until the end. The views from the canoe, especially from above and at the base of the Pinai Falls, were breathtaking! The Yaeyama soba we had while enjoying that scenery was incredibly delicious. I had a great time chatting with the guide and other participants. Next time I go, I want to stay overnight on Iriomote Island!

彼とはじめての石垣島への旅行。せっかくだから西表島にも行きたいねと話していたら、このツアーを見つけました。1日コースだったので、体力面が心配でしたが、休憩もあり最後まで元気に過ごすことが出来ました。また、カヌーからの景色もピナイサーラの滝上と滝つぼからの景色は感動的でした！あの景色を見ながら食べた八重山そばがとても美味しかったです。
ガイドの方や他の参加者の方と話しながら楽しい時間を過ごす事が出来ました。今度行くときは西表島に泊まりで行きたいです！！

In April, I went on a honeymoon trip to Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island.

I had always wanted to experience canoeing, and while searching on VELTRA, I came across this tour. Initially, I only intended to participate in the canoeing experience, but since I was visiting Iriomote Island, I decided to join a tour that included trekking as well. There are several tour companies offering mangrove canoeing plus trekking to the top and bottom of a waterfall, but what made me choose this one was the small group size for safety and the comprehensive information on the website of the tour company, Kaze no Kura.

On the day of the tour, we arrived at Uehara Port on Iriomote Island by high-speed boat from Ishigaki Island, where our guide was waiting with a sign for Kaze no Kura. We took a short five-minute drive to the office, where I met the other participants for the first time—a couple from Germany traveling in Japan. The guide was fluent in English and communicated with us in Japanese while speaking English to the German couple. We borrowed trekking shoes, waterproof bags, and backpacks, and the tour began.

After another five-minute drive, we arrived at the starting point of the tour. Once there, we received a briefing on how to use the paddles for canoeing. All participants chose single kayaks, but there was an option for tandem kayaks as well. Once we got in, we quickly got used to the movements and enjoyed the mangroves gracefully. April is said to be the best time for this tour; during the summer vacation, the river can get crowded, making it difficult to navigate, and you can hear explanations from other tour guides. After about 30 to 40 minutes, we arrived at the canoe docking area, and the trekking began.

First, we aimed for the top of the Pinaisara Falls. There was quite a height difference, so we prepared ourselves for the challenge. The course to the top takes about 50 minutes, with the first 20 minutes being a relatively steep incline and the last 30 minutes a gentler slope, requiring the use of our entire bodies to climb. My wife said it was easier than she had imagined, but I found it to be steeper than I expected. By the way, the guide mentioned that if he really tried, he could reach the top in eight minutes.

Upon reaching the top, we enjoyed the scenery and had lunch. The guide prepared Yaeyama soba for us. Since it was made with a portable kit, the taste was average, but after using our bodies and eating it in the great outdoors, the Yaeyama soba was very delicious. By the way, during the summer, the top of the waterfall is so crowded that there’s no place to sit. After taking in the breathtaking view from the top, we headed down to the bottom of the waterfall.

Once we arrived near the canoe docking area, we trekked for about 20 minutes to reach the bottom of the waterfall. Compared to the top, the elevation change was not as significant, but trekking after the round trip to the top was quite exhausting. When we reached the bottom, the view was completely different from that at the top. The husband of the German couple was swimming in the waterfall pool. The guide always enters the water when participants do, which made me feel reassured about safety. We were served tea and snacks while enjoying the view from the bottom of the waterfall.

The return journey was the same as the way there, but throughout, the guide provided explanations about Iriomote Island in both Japanese and English, making it a unique experience that I wouldn’t have had on my own. The tour lasted from about 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. When we returned to the office, we received about 10 to 20 photos from the tour as data. We were then taken back to our hotel, concluding the tour.

I was able to experience the canoeing I had long desired, making it a truly wonderful trip.

新婚旅行で４月に石垣島・西表島に行ってきました。

予てよりカヌーを体験したいと思っており、VELTRAで探していたところこのツアーが目に留まりました。カヌー体験だけのつもりでしたが、せっかくの西表島訪問なのでトレッキングを含んだツアーの参加に決めました。また、マングローブカヌー＋滝上滝下トレッキングのツアーだけでもいくつかのツアー会社がありますが、決め手となったのが、安全面を考慮した少人数制ツアーと風車さんのHPサイトの充実でした。

ツアー当日、石垣島から高速船で西表島・上原港に到着、ガイドさんが[風車]の看板を持って待っててくれました。そこから５分程度車に乗せてもらい、営業所まで向かいます。そこでツアー参加者と初対面。ドイツから旅行に来たドイツ人ご夫妻でした。ガイドさんは英語ペラペラで、私たちには日本語、ドイツ人ご夫妻には英語で対応。トレッキング用の靴と防水バッグ、リュックサックをお借りしてツアーがスタートしました。

また車で５分程度走りツアー開始地点へ。到着したらカヌーで使用するパドルの使い方のレクチャーを受けます。私たち参加者は全員一人乗りカヌーを選択しましたが、二人乗りカヌーを選ぶことができます。実際に乗り込むとすぐに動作に慣れることができ、優雅にマングローブを堪能することができました。４月はこのツアーに最も適した時期らしく、夏休みなど旅行客が多くなると川も<ｲｯﾂ･ｱ･ｽﾓｰﾙﾜｰﾙﾄﾞ>状態になるらしく、カヌーで川が埋まり、ほかのツアーガイドの説明が耳に入ってくるほどとのこと。３，４０分ほどでカヌー係留所に到着し、トレッキングが始まります。

まずはピナイサーラの滝上を目指します。かなりの高低差があり、覚悟を決めて臨みます。滝上までおよそ５０分のコースですが、前半２０分がわりと急な斜面、後半３０分がなだらかな斜面を登るコースになっており、体全体を使わないと登れません。妻は想像していたより易しかったと言っていましたが、私は想像していたより険しかったという印象です。ちなみにガイドさんが本気を出したら８分で滝上まで登るとのこと。

滝上に到着したら風景を堪能しつつ、お昼タイムです。ガイドさんが八重山そばを作ってくれます。持ち運びキットで作る八重山そばですので味は平均的なのですが、体を使ったあと、また、大自然で食べる八重山そばはとてもおいしいものでした。ちなみに夏場は滝上も人で溢れ、座る場所もないほどとのこと。滝上からの絶景を目に焼き付け、今度は滝下に向かいます。

カヌー係留所付近まで着いたらそこからおよそ２０分かけて滝下までトレッキング。滝上に比べ滝下のため、高低差はあまりないのですが、滝上まで往復したあとでかなり体力の消耗が激しい中でのトレッキング。滝下に到着すると、滝上とはまた違う絶景でした。ドイツ人ご夫妻旦那さまは滝つぼで泳がれていました。ツアー参加者が水に入るときはガイドさんも必ず入ることにしているそうで、ここでも安全面を大事にしていることを実感。滝下からの風景を見ながらお茶菓子を用意してくれました。

帰り道は行きの道と同じですが、終始ガイドさんが日本語・英語で西表島の解説をしてくれ、単身では経験できない旅行となりました。今回のツアー時間は９：３０～１５：３０ほどのものでした。営業所までつくとツアー中の写真（１０～２０枚程度）をデータでいただきました。ホテルまで送っていただきツアー終了となりました。

予てより望んでいたカヌーを体験でき、とても素晴らしい旅行となりました。

I participated in the Pinai Sara Falls tour for the first time this time. Since I was joining with one other woman, I was really worried about whether we would have the stamina for a full day of canoeing and hiking. However, once the tour started, I was captivated by the beauty of Iriomote Island's nature, and the canoe ride to the entrance of Pinai Sara went by in no time.

The path to the top of the falls was more challenging than I had imagined, but thanks to our guide's thorough explanations, we were able to proceed safely. The view from the top of the falls was absolutely stunning. We had about an hour at the top, including lunchtime, so my friend, who loves taking photos, and I took a lot of pictures. The Yaeyama soba for lunch was also of high quality, and I was very satisfied.

Moving to the base of the falls, the view from below was also incredibly powerful and impressive. I participated in late March, and the river water was still cold, but those who wanted could swim in the basin. Jumping into the basin was a wonderful memory. After the tour, returning to the shop and being able to take a shower was a nice touch. They also quickly sent us the photos from the tour via AirDrop. They were very attentive even during the shuttle service back to our accommodation, which left a great impression. I would love to ask for Windmill's services again when I come back to Iriomote Island!

今回初めてピナイサーラの滝ツアーに参加しました。
女子2名での参加だったので、カヌーと山登りの1日ツアーは体力持つのかとても不安でした。
しかし、ツアーが始まるとそんな不安よりも西表島の自然の素晴らしさに魅了され、ピナイサーラの入口までのカヌーがあっという間でした。笑
滝上までの道のりは想像以上に険しかったですが、ガイドさんの丁寧な説明のお陰で安全に進むことが出来ました。
滝上からの景色はとても素晴らしかったです。
滝上ではお昼ご飯も含めて1時間ほど時間があったので、カメラ女子の友達と沢山の写真を撮りました。
お昼ご飯の八重山そばもクオリティーが高く大満足でした。
滝つぼに移動し、下から見る滝もまた大迫力で圧巻でした。
私が参加したのは3月下旬で川の水はまだ冷た
かったのですが、希望者のみ滝つぼで泳ぐことも出来ました。
滝つぼでのジャンプはとてもいい思い出です。
ツアー後はショップに戻り、シャワーを浴びれるのも嬉しいポイントでした。
ツアー中の写真もAirDropですぐに送ってくれました。
最後宿への送迎まで丁寧に対応してくださり、とても好印象でした。
また西表島に来た時は、風車さんにお願いしたいと思います！

This was my first experience with canoeing and trekking. I was worried because I don't have much confidence in my physical strength and I don't usually exercise, but the guides, Taka and Miwacchi, were really kind and taught us everything in detail, which made me feel at ease participating.

During the trek, we had various conversations, and it was so enjoyable that we reached the summit in no time. The long-awaited lunch was homemade Yaeyama soba, which was delicious enough to rival any restaurant. The snacks were steamed dumplings from the morning, which was also impressive.

The weather forecast predicted rain in the afternoon, but it only drizzled a little on our way back, and the temperature was just right compared to a sunny day. The water at the waterfall was a bit cold, but once I got in, it felt great to swim.

Overall, Taka and Miwacchi were friendly, and I had a really fun time. I would definitely like to join this tour again when I come back to Iriomote Island. Thank you very much!

今回、はじめてのカヌーやトレッキングでした。
体力に自信もないし、普段運動もしていないので大丈夫だろうかと不安でしたが、ガイドさんのタカさんとみわっちさんが本当に親切で丁寧に色々教えてれて安心して参加できました。
またトレッキング中もいろんな話をしながらなので楽しくあっという間に頂上まで行けたし、お待ちかねのランチは手作りの八重山そばでお店顔負けのおいしさでした。
おやつも朝から蒸した団子とのことでこれまた感動でした。
お天気は午後から雨の予報でしたが、帰り際に少し降っただけで快晴よりは気温がちょうど良くよかったです。
滝つぼではちょっと冷たかったけどつかってしまえば気持ちよく泳げました。
とにかくタカさん、みわっちさんがフレンドリーで本当に楽しかったです。
また西表島に来た時は是非こちらのツアーでお世話になりたいです。

On April 4th (Wednesday), I was taken care of by the windmill company during my trip to Iriomote Island. I had the experience of canoeing and trekking! It was my first time canoeing, but they were kind and taught me very carefully, and we had a great conversation while canoeing! During the trekking, they provided detailed and enjoyable explanations about the plants, animals, and insects, which kept things interesting.

The weather was great, and the view from above the waterfall was incredibly moving. The Yaeyama soba for lunch was prepared efficiently and was delicious. Playing in the water at the base of the waterfall was fun, and seeing the Pinaisara Falls from directly below was very impressive and breathtaking. After playing in the water, they prepared warm tea and homemade sweets for us. Next time, I want to challenge the Nara Falls course.

4月4日(水) 西表島旅行の際こちらの風車さんでお世話になりました。
カヌー、トレッキング体験をさせていただきました！カヌー初体験でしたが優しく、とても丁寧に教えて頂きカヌー中も楽しく会話が弾みました！トレッキング中も植物、動物、虫の説明を詳しく楽しくして頂き飽きさせない工夫が感じられました。
天候も良く滝上から見る景色は凄く感動し、お昼の八重山そばも手際良く作って頂き美味しかったです。滝壺での水遊びも楽しく貴重な経験をさせて頂き真下から見るピナイサーラの滝はとても迫力があり圧巻でした
滝壺での水遊び後は暖かいお茶と手作りのお菓子を用意して頂きました。次回はナーラの滝コースに挑戦したいです。

On March 4th (Sunday), my spouse and I participated in a mangrove canoeing and trekking tour to the Pinai Sara Falls. The forecast predicted cloudy weather with occasional rain, but the day turned out to be pleasantly warm at around 23 degrees! With Daichan as our guide, we learned how to paddle a single-person canoe, and we were excited to start the tour. The river's flow was gentle, enveloping us in nature. The trekking towards the falls was enriched by Daichan's extensive experience and knowledge about the flora and fauna of Iriomote Island, allowing us to feel the grandeur of its nature up close. While shoes and backpacks can be rented, I think it's a good idea to bring your own gloves.

The numerous photos taken during the tour were impressive, especially the Sakishima Suo tree grove and its massive buttress roots, which were truly breathtaking—a definite power spot. Due to the rain a few days prior, the elusive waterfall also made an appearance. The Yaeyama soba we ate in nature was incredibly delicious.

Entering the pool at the base of the waterfall, along with all the scenery and explanations during the tour, created wonderful memories. I definitely want to try other courses as well.

3月4日(日）マングローブカヌーとトレッキング・ピナイサーラの滝つぼ、滝うえのツアーに夫婦で参加しました。曇り時々雨の予報でしたが、当日は気温23度前後の陽気！だいちゃんのガイドで一人乗りカヌーの漕ぎ方を教わり、ツアーの始まりにわくわくしました。川の流れは穏やかで自然につつまれる。滝うえ目指してのトレッキングは大ちゃんの西表島に生息する動植物の説明は豊富な経験と知識で私たちに西表島の大自然を身近に感じさせてくれました。靴やリックサックなどレンタルできますが、グローブは準備していくと良いと思います。
ツアー中に撮影して頂いた写真の数々、サキシマスオウノキ群落とその巨大な板根群に圧巻、パワースポット間違いなし。数日前からの雨で、幻の滝も出現。
自然の中で食べた八重山ソバもサイコーに美味しかった。
滝つぼの中に入ったことも、ツアー中の全ての景色と説明が思い出になりました。
他のコースも是非チャレンジしたいと思いました。

I participated in a trekking tour to Pinai Sara Falls, accompanied by my enthusiastic mother. I was astonished by the height of the waterfall, which was even more impressive than I had imagined, but surprisingly, it didn't take long to climb up. The view from the top of the waterfall was amazing. It was a clear day, and the scenery was truly beautiful. Watching the waterfall from the base had a different atmosphere, and I could have gazed at it forever. I joined the tour in March, but it was still a bit chilly, so I was disappointed that I couldn't swim in the pool. If I have the chance to visit Iriomote Island in the summer, I definitely want to swim in the pool!

They had rentals available for backpacks, waterproof bags, shoes, and more. The guide took photos during the tour, and they sent the data right after it ended. The Yaeyama soba prepared on-site at the top of the waterfall was delicious, and just when I thought I wanted something warm to drink, they served barley tea and mochi as if they were anticipating my needs. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much!

ノリノリだった母親に連れられて、ピナイサーラの滝トレッキングツアーに参加しました。思ってた以上の高さから落ちる滝に、一時はカヌーの中から仰天しましたが、意外と時間もかからずに登れました。滝上からの景色は最高です。ちょうど晴天だったこともあり、本当に綺麗でした。滝つぼから滝を眺めるのもまた違った雰囲気で、いつまでも見ていられました。3月に参加したのですが、まだ肌寒く て滝つぼで泳げなかったのが唯一残念でした。夏に西表に来る機会があれば、ぜひ滝つぼで泳ぎたいと思います！

リュック、防水バッグ、シューズ等レンタル完備でした。ツアー中にガイドさんに撮っていただいた写真も終了後すぐにデータ送信してもらいました。現地調理していただいた滝上での八重山そば、あったかいものが飲みたいなあと思っていたら見計らっていたかのように出してくださった麦茶とお餅、何から何まで至れり尽くせりでした。本当にありがとうございました！

I heard that Allabout has been around since the 20th century, and I thought the guide would be the grandfather at Pinaisara (Shirahige), but it turned out to be a polite young guide named Daichan (24) who appeared at the dock.

After changing into the amphibious shoes (free) at the shop, the guide taught us how to handle the canoe, tips for hiking, and the names of rare trees and animals. The group, aged 16 to 50, smoothly completed about an hour of trekking up to the waterfall and enjoyed the stunning views. After that, we descended to the base of the waterfall and dove into the waterfall that is in the process of being registered as a World Heritage site! They mentioned that it might not be accessible in a few years. The splashes of water at the base of the waterfall are amazing. Since we wore life jackets, even those who can't swim were fine.

I want to tell the female participants that if walking is tough on the chest, a sports bra or a swimsuit with similar functionality might be better. Also, since we had to climb over rocks and grab onto trees, I felt gloves were necessary. Bringing work gloves would also be reassuring for your nails. Additionally, we spent nearly five hours without a restroom, so be mindful of hydration and other needs.

That said, the 2,000 yen boat fare each way and the tour participation fee felt very reasonable for such an amazing experience.

allaboutで20世紀からの老舗と伺い、ピナイサーラ（白鬚）のおじいがガイドかと思いきや、船着き場に表れたのは礼儀正しい青年ガイド、だいちゃん（24）でした。

ショップで水陸両用シューズ（無料）に履き替えたのち、ガイドさんがカヌーの扱いから山歩きのこつ、珍しい木や動物の名前を教えてくれながら16-50歳のグループは順調に滝上へ小一時間のトレッキングを終え、最高の景色を堪能しました。その後滝壺まで降りて、世界遺産登録準備中の滝へダイブ！もしかすると数年後は入れなくなるかも？とのこと。滝壺で浴びる水しぶきは最高です。ライフジャケット着用なので泳げない人も大丈夫。

女性の参加者さんに伝えたいのですが、歩くとき胸が辛いのでスポーツブラまたはその機能がある水着のほうがいいかもです。あと、岩場や木を掴んで登るので、手袋は必要と感じました。軍手でも持っていくとネイルが安心。あとお手洗いなしで5時間近く過ごすので、水分補給や例のあの日とか要注意です。

と言いつつ、片道2千円の船代もツアー参加費もお安く思える最高の体験でした。

This is the best tour where you can escape the noise of the city and experience the magnificent nature of Iriomote Island. I participated in mid-March, and what I found to be the best part of the tour was the guide! The guide explained how to use the kayak very thoroughly from start to finish, described the flora and fauna of Iriomote Island, and mixed in jokes throughout, making it enjoyable even for someone like me who struggles with group activities. A group of women who weren't very skilled at handling the kayak (both single and double kayaks available) were able to manage it by the end thanks to the guide's patient explanations.

With consideration for women and children, and even for someone like me who lacks confidence in physical fitness due to a lack of exercise, the small group size allowed the guide to pay attention to each individual. We were able to enjoy kayaking, trekking, the breathtaking views from Pinaisara, and swimming in the waterfall without any issues, as the pace was well thought out. On the way to the waterfall, we encountered fish, mantis shrimp, lizards, baby habu snakes, and many rare plants, with the guide providing detailed explanations each time. I definitely want to participate in this company's tour again when I come back to Iriomote Island!

都会の雑音から離れ西表島の壮大な自然に触れることができる最高のツアーです。今回3月中旬に参加させていただきましたが、ツアーで個人的に一番良かったと思った点は、ガイドさん！ガイドの方が初めから終わりまでとても丁寧にカヤックの使用法の説明、西表島の動植物の説明、そして随所にジョークも混ぜグループ行動が苦手な私でもとても楽しむことができました。あまり上手くカヤック(1人乗り、2人乗り有)を扱えていなかった女性グループもガイドさんの根気のある説明で最後には問題なくカヤックを扱えるようになっていました 。女性や子供への配慮・気遣いはもちろん、日頃から運動不足で体力に自信のない私でもカヤック、トレッキング、ピナイサーラからの絶景、滝壺での遊泳、ガイドさんがしっかりと個々に気を配れる規模の小さいグループでの行動になるので、しっかりとペース配分を考えていただき、なにも問題なく最後まで楽しむことができました。滝までの道中では魚、シャコ、トカゲ、カニやハブの赤ちゃん、マングローブの他にも多くの珍しい植物に出会うことができ、その都度ガイドさんが丁寧に説明してくださいました。次回西表島に来る際も是非もう一度この会社のツアーに参加したいと思います！

I wanted to fully enjoy the great nature of Iriomote Island, so I signed up for this popular tour that takes you to both the top and the base of the Pinai Waterfall. On the day of the tour, we were fortunate to have clear weather, a cool breeze, and not too many people, making it the perfect day for canoeing and trekking. It was still a bit too cold to swim at the base of the waterfall, but I was glad to participate before the peak summer season. The light shining on the sky, sea, waterfall spray, and the green forest was truly beautiful.

I chose a single kayak and enjoyed it without any worries of capsizing. During the trekking, the guide was very attentive, helping us navigate slippery spots and low-hanging branches, which allowed us to enjoy the experience safely.

At the top of the waterfall, we had Yaeyama soba for lunch, and at the base, we enjoyed a snack of mochi wrapped in shell ginger leaves. It was very delicious. Although I had some concerns about my stamina due to lack of exercise, I was able to enjoy the day energetically until the end, and it was a very satisfying experience.

西表島の大自然を思いっきり楽しみたいと思い、大人気のピナイサーラの滝上＆滝つぼの両方に行ける、こちらのツアーに申し込みました。
当日は幸運にも晴天にめぐまれ、風が涼しく、あまり人も多すぎず、最高のカヌー＆トレッキング日和でした。滝つぼで泳ぐにはまだ寒くて断念しましたが、夏の本格シーズン前に参加できてよかったです。空と海、滝しぶきや森の緑に光がさして、本当にきれいでした。
カヌーは1人乗りを選び、転覆の不安もなく楽しめました。トレッキング中も、足もとが滑りやすいところや、木が張り出して頭をぶつけやすいところなど、ガイドさんが細やかにフォローしてくださり、安心して楽しめました。
滝上ではお昼ごはんに八重山そば、滝つぼではおやつに月桃の葉でつつんだ餅菓子をいただきました。とてもおいしかったです。運動不足で体力に若干の不安がありましたが、最後まで元気に楽しむことができ、大満足の1日でした。

In mid-March, on a beautifully clear day as it began to warm up, I was fortunate enough to participate. At first, we struggled to synchronize in the canoe, and there was even an incident where we crashed into a tree, but gradually we got the hang of it and started moving smoothly. The incline of the canoe and the headwind felt tough, but as we progressed and the mangrove forest unfolded before us, it felt like we were overseas, and all the difficulty vanished.

During the mountain climbing, there were many plants I had never seen before, and the guide's explanations were fascinating. I walked with excitement, wondering what plants would appear next and if I might spot an Iriomote cat, making the time fly by. That said, the path was steep, and I was drenched in sweat by the time I finally reached the top of the waterfall. From there, I could overlook the transparent sea and the islands on the other side, which was an absolutely breathtaking view that left me speechless. Surrounded by that beautiful scenery and the refreshing sound of the waterfall, the Yaeyama soba we had was exceptional, far surpassing any Yaeyama soba I had tasted during my trip to Okinawa.

On the way back in the canoe, we leisurely returned with a tailwind. The sense of accomplishment and fullness made the rocking of the canoe feel pleasant, and I almost dozed off. This tour was truly enjoyable, refreshing, and satisfying both physically and mentally. I would love to go again next week. I'm so glad I came.

Lastly, I would like to thank the guide who took care of us and the group members who worked hard together.

　３月中旬、暖かくなり始めた時期の快晴の日に、運良く参加させていただくことができました。
　カヌーは、最初は息が合わず、木に激突する事件もありましたが、段々コツをつかみ、スムーズに進むようになりました。カヌーの傾斜や向かい風はきつく感じましたが、少し進んでいってまるで海外かのようなマングローブの森が目の前に広がると、きつさも吹っ飛びました。
　山登りでは、見たことのないような植物がたくさんあり、ガイドさんの説明も興味深く、次はどんな植物が表れるのだろう、イリオモテヤマネコはいないかな、とワクワクしながら歩くため、あっという間でした。とは言っても険しい道のりで、汗をびっしょりかきながらやっとの思いで、滝の上に辿り着きました。そこからは、透き通る海や向こう側にある島々を見下ろすことができ、大変絶景で、言葉を失うほどでした。さらにその美しい景色と滝の涼しげな音に囲まれて頂く八重山そばは格別で、沖縄旅行中に何度も口にしたどの八重山そばよりもダントツで美味しかったです。
　帰りのカヌーは、追い風の中、のんびりと帰りました。達成感や満腹感で、カヌーの揺れが心地よく、お昼寝をしてしまいそうでした。
　このツアーは、本当に楽しくて、気持ちよくて、心身ともに満足できました。また来週にでも行きたいくらいです。来て良かったです。
　最後に、お世話になったガイドさん、一緒に頑張ったグループの方、ありがとうございました。

I participated in the "Pinaisara Falls (Lower and Upper Falls) Course" with my mother and sister. I wanted to ride a canoe in Iriomote Island, so I searched for tours and found a tour by Kazaguruma that visits both the lower and upper falls, which looked interesting, so I made a reservation.

On the day of the tour, I was anxious because the boat to Uehara Port was canceled, but I felt reassured thanks to the careful phone calls and emails the day before and on the day itself, as well as the shuttle service to Ohara Port.

It was my first canoe experience, and I was both excited and nervous, but the kind and attentive guide made it easy for beginners to enjoy. I was able to slowly paddle through the river filled with mangroves and fully enjoy the great outdoors. The jungle trekking after getting off the canoe was harder than I expected, but I regained my energy with the stunning views from the upper falls and the guide's homemade Yaeyama soba lunch. I was truly impressed! During the trekking, the guide was excellent at pointing out slippery spots and places where I might bump my head, which was really helpful. Additionally, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, so I enjoyed hearing various stories while spotting mangroves, gobies, and crabs.

I think it would be even more beautiful and moving on a sunny day. Next time, I want to participate in the summer and try jumping into the lower falls. You should experience not only the canoeing but also the breathtaking views from the upper Pinaisara Falls. I'm glad I joined Kazaguruma's tour!

母と姉の3人で『ピナイサーラの滝（滝つぼ&滝うえ）コース』に参加しました。
西表島でカヌーに乗りたい！と思いツアーを検索したところ、ピナイサーラの滝つぼと滝うえ両方に行ける風車さんのツアーを見つけ、面白そう！と予約しました。
当日は上原港行の船が欠航して不安でしたが、前日当日の丁寧な電話やメール連絡と、大原港まで送迎してもらえて安心してツアーに参加することができました。
初めてのカヌー体験だったので期待と不安でドキドキしましたが、優しく丁寧なガイドをしていただき、初心者でも安心して楽しむことができした。マングローブが生い茂る川をゆっくり漕いで大自然を全身で満喫することができました。カヌーを降りてからのジャングルトレッキングは思った以上にハードでしたが、滝うえからの絶景とガイドさんお手製の八重山そばランチで元気回復しました。大感激！トレッキング中は、滑りやすい足場や頭をぶつけそうな場所を注意喚起してくれて、気配り抜群で本当に助かりました。また、マングローブの説明やハゼ、カニを見つけたり、気さくで物知りなガイドさんだったので、色々な話も聞けてよかったです。
晴天だったらもっときれいでもっと感動すると思います。次は夏に参加して滝つぼに飛び込んでみたいと思います。
カヌー体験だけでなく、ピナイサーラの滝うえからの絶景を味わうべきです。

I participated in February, and I was able to enjoy a clear, warm day with light winds.

First, we traveled for about 30 minutes by canoe. Naturally, without any music, the only sounds were the chirping of birds and the splash of the canoe paddles. The pleasant breeze and soft sunlight created a sparkling reflection on the water. It was a majestic feeling, and I felt immersed in nature, liberated from everyday concerns.

After that, we temporarily left the canoe and began hiking towards the top of the Pinaisara Falls. Unlike mountain climbing in Honshu, the path is not paved, and we walked through untouched nature. Here too, I felt like I was intruding into nature, allowing me to experience a feeling that is hard to come by in everyday life. (By the way, it does require quite a bit of stamina.)

After about an hour of active hiking, what awaited us was a breathtaking view! The waterfall cascading down vigorously, our canoe in the distance along with the mangroves of Iriomote Island, and the transparent blue sea of Iriomote Island... it was an awe-inspiring sight that is hard to experience elsewhere! We then took a break and enjoyed Yaeyama soba at the top of the waterfall. Combined with a pleasant sense of fatigue, it was incredibly delicious. After that, we paddled for about 30 minutes back down to finish the activity.

Depending on the weather conditions, I highly recommend this activity.

２月に参加しましたが、快晴で風も弱く温かい日に参加できました。

まずはカヌーで３０分ほど移動。当然ですが音楽もない中で、聞こえるのは鳥のさえずりとカヌーのオールのチャプンという音のみ。心地よい風とやわらかい日差し。太陽の光も水もに反射してキラキラ。雄大な気持ちになれて、自然に溶け込んだ気分になり、日常のことから解放され忘れられます。

その後、カヌーから一旦離れて、ピナイサーラの滝上を目指して山登りです。本州でやるような登山と異なり、道も舗装されているわけでもなく、自然むき出しの中を歩いていきます。ここでも自然の中に お邪魔します！ という感覚で入っていくので、普段なかなか味わえない気分に浸れると思います。（ちなみに、体力は結構要します。）

アクティブ登山をすること約１時間ほど、待っているのは絶景です！勢いよく落ちていく滝、遠くには自分たちの乗ってきたカヌーと西表島のマングローブ、そして西表島の透き通った水色の海・・・、なかなか味わえない景色で圧巻です！そのまま、休憩がてら滝上で八重山そばを食べます。心地よい疲労感も相まって、非常においしかったです。
その後下山して３０分ほどカヌーをこいで、終了です。

天気状況にもよるかもしれませんが、非常におすすめのアクティビティです。

Upon arriving at Uehara Port, a guide with a refreshing smile welcomes you with an easy-to-understand "Windmill" sign. You can rent waterproof backpacks and shoes for free, so as long as you prepare clothes that can get dirty, you don't need to bring anything else.

I wasn't very confident in my physical strength, so I was worried, but the guide provides thorough instructions on how to paddle a canoe and tips for trekking, allowing me to participate with peace of mind.

While floating in the canoe, the pleasant sounds of the natural monument birds make it easy to forget the hustle and bustle of city life. I felt as if I could paddle the canoe anywhere. After the canoeing, we moved on to trekking up to the waterfall. Climbing 55 meters up the cliff reveals a breathtaking view. Although the path is rough, I was so captivated by the guide Hoshi's lively talk about plants and Okinawa's history that I arrived before I knew it.

At the top of the waterfall, we were treated to homemade Yaeyama soba by Hoshi. The homemade pork belly and the steaming soup were so appetizing just to look at. Taking a sip of the Yaeyama soba soup against the stunning backdrop revived every cell in my body. (Hoshi's Yaeyama soba was even more delicious than the one I had at a famous shop in Ishigaki Island.)

We were able to take great photos at all the spots, and we received all the data right after the tour ended. I am 120% satisfied. This became the best memory of my 3-night, 4-day trip.

On the way back in the canoe, the scenery was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. My husband and I talked about how many more times we could go canoeing together before we die. This tour became a goal for us as a couple.

上原港に到着すると、笑顔が爽やかなガイドさんが分かりやすい「風車」のプラカードを持ってお出迎えしていただけます。
防水リュックや靴も無料でレンタルいただけるので、汚れてもいい服を用意すれば何も準備は要りません。
私は体力にあまり自信が無い方なので、心配していましたが、カヌーの漕ぎ方やトレッキングのコツも丁寧にレクチャー頂けるので、安心して参加できます。

カヌーでぷかぷかと浮遊していると天然記念物の鳥の鳴き声が耳に心地良く、都会の喧々たる日々を忘れられます。このままカヌーでどこまでも行けるような錯覚を覚えました。
カヌーを終えると、次はトレッキングで滝の上に。崖を55m登ると絶景が広がります。悪路ではありますが、植物のお話、沖縄の歴史など、ガイドの星さんの軽快なトークに聞き入っているうちにあっという間に到着です。
滝上で星さん手作りの八重そばを振舞っていただきました。自家製の豚バラ肉、湯気が立ち上るスープをグツグツと、見ているだけで食欲をそそります。絶景をバックに、八重そばのスープを一口飲むと全身の細胞が生き返ります。(石垣島の有名店で食べた八重そばよりも、星さんの八重そばが美味しかった)

全てのスポットで写真撮影もバッチリしていただき、ツアー終了すぐに全てのデータを頂けます。
120%満足です。今回の3泊4日の旅行で一番の思い出になりました。

帰り道のカヌーは、あまりにも景色がキレイで涙腺が緩みます。夫と「死ぬまでに、あと何回一緒にカヌーに乗れるかな。」と話しながら。
夫婦の目標ができたツアーとなりました。

I wanted to enjoy the unique scenery of Okinawa, so I participated in a canoe tour. The guide was friendly and entertaining, which allowed us, even as shy individuals, to relax and chat comfortably. They also had a wealth of knowledge about Okinawa's nature and cuisine, sharing plenty of information that made our trip twice as enjoyable. I debated whether to go for a two-person or one-person canoe, but ultimately chose the one-person option. The river's gentle flow made it possible for me, a small and not very strong woman, to paddle while enjoying the scenery. The mountain climbing was on a muddy path, but thanks to the free rental shoes, I was able to walk safely. The view from above the waterfall and the basin was truly breathtaking, creating a wonderful moment. The lunch and snacks prepared by the guides were also delicious. Next time, I would like to try sea kayaking. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

沖縄ならではの風景を堪能したいと思い、カヌーツアーに参加しました。担当して下さったガイドの方が気さくで面白く、人見知りの私達でもリラックスしてお話することが出来ました。また、沖縄の自然やグルメに関する知識も豊富で、旅行が倍楽しくなるような情報を沢山教えて下さいました。カヌーは、二人乗りか一人乗りか迷いましたが、一人乗りにしました。川の流れが穏やかだったため、小柄で体力の無い私（女）でも、景色を楽しみながら漕ぐことが出来ました。山登りも、ぬかるんだ道でしたが、無料レンタルの靴のおかげで安全に歩けました。滝の上・滝壺から見る景色はまさに絶景で、素晴らしいひとときになりました。ガイドさん方が作って下さったお昼ごはんとおやつも美味しかったです。次回はシーカヤックにも挑戦したいなと思います。素敵な体験をありがとうございました。

This was my first visit to Iriomote Island. I had the impression that it was full of nature and many natural monuments, and I came without doing any research, but the natural scenery was magnificent and it was a truly healing place.

The instructor teaches various things about the island, so I think you can enjoy it even if you come without any prior knowledge, and you can return with new insights. I visited in winter with a friend, and we were fortunate with the weather, allowing us to enjoy it at a comfortable temperature. Despite it being winter, we were playing in the river, and I was touched by the kindness and friendliness of the instructor who joined us in the cold water.

Due to the timing, this tour was just for us, which allowed us to go at our own pace and communicate a lot, making me love this tour even more. While summer is the popular time to visit, I believe the biggest advantage of going in winter is that it’s not too hot and you can enjoy it in a less crowded environment.

I think this tour is perfect for those who want to know more about Iriomote Island and for active individuals. I highly recommend participating!

　今回が私にとっては西表島初上陸でした。自然が多く天然記念物がたくさんいるイメージしかなく、何も調べずに来てしまいましたが、自然が壮大でとても心癒されるいいところでした。

インストラクターの方が島について色々と教えてくださるので何も知らない状態で来ても楽しめると思いますし、知識をつけて帰ることができます。
私は友人と冬に伺い、天候にも恵まれたので快適な温度で楽しむことができました。冬場にもかかわらず私達は川に入って水遊びをしていましたが、冷たい水に一緒に入ってくれるインストラクターの優しさとフレンドリーさに心惹かれました。

時期的な問題もあり、今回のツアーは私達のみだったため、自分達のペースでやらせて頂け、またコミュニケーションをたくさんとれたことで、ますますこのツアーが好きになりました。
夏場に行くのが主流だとは思いますが、暑すぎず、空いている中でできることが冬場に行く最大のメリットだと思います。

I decided to sign up for this tour because it offered canoeing and trekking. I was able to slowly enjoy nature while paddling through the mangroves. The staff provided thorough guidance, making it easy to learn! Above all, moving through the great outdoors created fantastic conditions for taking photos and videos with my smartphone.

During the trekking, we aimed for a waterfall and its basin located in the mountains of Iriomote Island. The guide's casual talks and explanations about the natural plants and animals made the trekking enjoyable and effortless! The waterfall and basin were breathtaking, and we could see them up close, allowing us to capture impressive photos and videos.

At the top of the waterfall, the staff prepared Yaeyama soba for us, and it was incredibly delicious after the hike.

Overall, the staff's extensive knowledge, careful explanations, and safe guidance made this a tour I would love to join again if I have the chance.

In other tours, photos often come with an extra charge, but at the end, we received photos taken with an iPhone for free, which was an attractive aspect as it didn't add extra costs.

If I have the opportunity, I would love to do this again. Thank you very much!

カヌーとトレッキングができるためこのツアーに申し込もうと思いました。マングローブの中をカヌーで漕ぎながらゆっくりと自然を満喫することができました。スタッフの方も丁寧に指導してくれたので、さほど難しくなく習得できました！なんといっても大自然の中を進むので、スマホで写真や動画を撮るにはとても素晴らしい条件でした。

トレッキングでは、西表島の山の中にある滝と滝壺を目指しました。ガイドさんのフリートークや自然の植物や動物対する解説もあり、苦なく楽しくトレッキングを楽しむことができました！滝と滝壺は圧巻で、ものすごく近くでみる事ができるので、写真や動画も迫力のあるものを残す事ができました。

滝の頂上では、スタッフさんが八重山そばを作って頂いたのですが、山登りのあとに食べる八重山そばはとても美味しかったです。

全体を通して、スタッフさんの知識が豊富で、丁寧説明してくれ、安全に誘導してくれたので次回も機会があればまた参加してみたいと思うツアーでした。

他のツアーでは、写真は別料金だったりするのですが、最後にiphoneで写真も無料
で分けて頂いたので、余計にお金がかからないところも魅力的でした。
