It took about a 5-minute walk from the station to the boarding location, and I arrived without any issues. Upon boarding, I was greeted by enthusiastic staff wearing hachimaki (headbands), and I was impressed by their cheerful greetings in both Japanese and English!

I quickly enjoyed a beer and savored delicious dishes. It seemed they were frying tempura on board, and freshly made tempura was continuously brought out!

We stopped at sightseeing spots like Odaiba, and during that time, we could go out on the deck to enjoy the view. The weather was great, so it felt wonderful, and I was glad I chose this day!

It felt more like a guided yakatabune tour rather than just a boat ride, and I thought it would be great to use this experience again when my friends come to visit Tokyo!

We participated in a family birthday celebration with our two children. In addition to the Christmas illuminations at Odaiba and Tokyo Skytree, we also got to see the fireworks at Odaiba. With freshly fried tempura and all-you-can-drink options, everyone in the family was completely satisfied and full. It was truly a little luxury!

<Meeting Place>
On the morning of the event, I received a call from Harumiya to confirm the meeting place and time, which made me feel at ease about participating. Since many yakatabune (traditional Japanese boats) depart from the same dock, you can't board early. 当日の朝に「晴海屋」さんからお電話をいただき、集合場所や時間の再確認をしてくれたので、安心して参加することができました。同じ船着場から数多くの屋形船が出航するため、早く行っても乗船はできません。船着場の前にハッピを着た「晴海屋」さんのスタッフの方がいますので、そこでチェックインと座席の確認をします。出航時間の15分くらい前に乗船開始です。

＜船内＞
掘りごたつ式のテーブルが二列並んでいます。我々のような子連れの家族、カップル、小グループ、茨城の会社の社員旅行と、色々な人たちの乗り合いで、お互いが近い（間隔が狭め）ので、廻りの人たちとも仲良くなり、和気あいあいとした雰囲気です。

＜料理＆飲み物＞
最初に懐石料理が一通りセッティングされていて、鍋を食べ終わったくらいのタイミングで、揚げたての天麩羅が1種類づつサーブされます。何を食べても美味しいのですが、やはり揚げたてアツアツの天麩羅は格別！真冬の寒空の下、温かい船内で食べるアツアツの料理は特別感があります。0～5歳で申込みをすると食事は付きませんが、親の料理を分けてあげても十分なほどの量があります。飲み放題メニューも豊富で、ワイン片手にお台場の夜景を堪能しました。

＜夜景＞
東京湾から見る東京の夜景は本当にキレイです。停泊中は2階のスカイデッキに上がって、何も遮るものがない絶景を見ることができます。ちょうどクリスマスイルミネーションの最中ということもあり、東京タワーやレインボーブリッジ、フジテレビ本社ビル、東京スカイツリーなどが全てクリスマス仕様のライトアップになっていて、それを屋形船から見る「和風クリスマス」もいいな～と実感しました。たまたま土曜日に行われているというお台場の花火もスカイデッキから見ることができ、本当にラッキーでした。

＜サービス＞
スタッフの方々は、東京の下町のいなせな感じで、ちゃきちゃとして気持ちの良いサービスでした。小さい子供連れだとレストランに行くのも億劫になるのですが、この屋形船は子供もウェルカム＆スタッフ皆さんが子供たちが飽きないように気遣ってくださり、親も安心して楽しむことができました。


冬の屋形船ってどうなんだろう...と思っていましたが、結果大正解でした。次は爽やかな季節にまた参加したいです！

It was 2 days before Christmas that me and my husband went for this, it was the first time for both of us.
My image of yakatabune was cold especially in winter, but it wasn't inside. The food was decent and I was amazed at how they cooked and served their Edomae tempra each time they fried it.
The guide kept entertaining the customers with historical tips on the area. We got to go on top of the boat at Odaiba and Tokyo sky tree where we could stay a little while. Everyone seemed to be having a good time with their friends and family.
