Good trip to Mt Fuji with all the things you want to see

This trip was in general very good. It was easy to find the meeting spot and the person who was standing there waiting was very helpful and made sure that everyone got on the bus etc. The bus was very comfortable and when arriving at the fifth plateau it was unfortunately cloudy. However the bus driver stopped at a second stop that was not in the plan and there we were able to see the top. Very appreciated! The lake cruise and the ropeway ride was okay, would probably be more fun if it was sunny. The time at this stop was too long as well. In the end, everyone was standing around and waiting for the bus to go back to Tokyo so maybe reduce the time there during the off season. But in general, a very good 1-day trip that I would recommend.

My husband and I did this great tour together. It was filled with fantastic views and sceneries. The boat cruise was amazing and Mount Fuji is stunning. It's 100% recommended to do this tour if you want to experience Mount Fuji from different points of views. It might get cold out there, so we recommend you bring a sweater. The tour leader was a sweetheart and the Veltra team did a great job organising every part of the trip. We highly recommend this tour.

Outstanding 1-day Mt. Fuji trip for foreigners

The overall experience was outstanding. Both the tour leader and bus driver were very friendly and offer assistant in any way they can. At every stop the tour leader explained very carefully what to do and when we need to get back to the bus. The 5th Station was cloudy and we did not get the chance to see Mt. Fuji. Same for Lake Kawaguchi. However after riding the ropeway to the top of the mountain and wait for a while, we could finally see the peak of Mt. Fuji. Such an amazing experience. The best part of the tour is the western-style lunch at a very cozy restaurant, and the $3 coupon. We did not use the coupon to buy ice cream but to buy souvenir because there are many selections.

The entire process of booking the trip, partaking in the day’s activities, and returning back to Tokyo was all seamless. We were blessed with beautiful weather and clear views of Mt. Fuji, which was a huge bonus. Lunch was great. If you are a big eater, I would recommend bringing or buying a snack for the ride home in the evening. Overall, very satisfied!

Had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide communicated clearly and effectively with the guests. He made sure everyone knew when and where to come back at and willingly answered everyones questions. The weather was perfect!! We saw Mt. Fuji in all its beauty. Lunch was pretty good with a fun spot at FujiQ theme park. Lots of photo opportunities! The boat ride was great, you get to see mt. Fuji without interruptions. The best option for foreigners to visit Mt. Fuji as a one day trip. The trip was very well planned and organized. Our tour coordinator was very pleasant and friendly. She was very informative about the various attractions on the way as well as the planned spots. Our first destination was fifth station of Mt. Fuji. Even though clouds covered Mt. Fuji most of the time, we were able to have a pretty good look at the highest peak of Japan, thanks to our generous driver who stopped at a point( when the clouds moved away for a few moments) just below the fifth station on our way back. The next destination was lake kawaguchi where we experienced lake cruise and rope way ride. The lake is surrounded by green landscape. This will be a perfect option for any group like family, friends, couples etc.

Incredible day exploring Mount Fuji and lake kawaguchi!

The experience overall was amazing starting with the bus journey to Fuji which was comfy and air conditioned with a friendly driver. Our tour leader was extremely informative, happy and spoke great English. The 5th station was cloudy but it was a lovely area to walk around and the views were still incredible. The boat journey on Lake kawaguchi was stunning and peaceful. What made the whole trip was when we went up the ropeway the cloudy had moved and we could see Mount Fuji clearly. A lovely touch at the end was a voucher for ice cream. I would recommend this trip to everyone who want to see Mount Fuji or just wants a trip outside busy Tokyo.

I was happily surprise for the whole tour, very veryyy nice, comfortable bus, very well organized tour, beautiful places to appreciate the mount Fuji. I felt they really thought about us as visitors and welcome guests, not just random people that only represent money for the company. Totally recommend this tour and the company. I would definitely go with them again. I traveled with my wife and 1 year old baby, and I had no issues, perhaps I would recommend next time to offer a car seat for the baby.

If you are lucky, you are gonna see the most beautiful scenery including lakes, Flower farm with Mount Fuji at the backdrop. The grape farm was so nice experience with sweet grapes.
Please check the weather before going. For vegetarians, veltra arranged special food for me.

The trip went very smoothly. Levin our tour guide was a knowledgable , professional and excellent communicator. He is a great asset.
The driver and guide were both excellent. We got to see My Fuji despite cloud cover. Levin and the driver saw an opportunity to view the mount and took it. If we waited for the "normal" stop we would have missed the view ( like the majority of other tours).
The lunch that was provided at the Ninja village was great. There was plenty of local food and the service was very good.
The trips to the 5 lakes was excellent. The flight simulator was also a real hoot.
Overall the organisation and events were excellent. A great experience.

My family (3 adults, 2 children) had an incredible time during this tour which was individualized for us based on our requests and preferences. Our guide Takashi was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and taught us so much about not only Mt. Fuji but Japan and Japanese culture. Additionally, Takashi’s broad international knowledge and understanding provided an added perspective and important context on Japan’s place globally today. Our driver Toshi was also excellent and entertaining and because of his understanding of weather patterns on the mountain, we made 2 critical stops along the way that allowed us to see the peak despite some poor weather conditions overall. Takashi took us to an incredible restaurant for lunch, a meal that all of us enjoyed and none of us will forget. An incredible trip overall which was made even better by the connection we made with our guide Takashi. On a personal note, I left my phone in the vehicle and Takashi & Toshi ensured that it was returned to me the same evening! It was much appreciated! I would highly recommend this private tour and ask for Takashi!

We knew that it was a bus tour, but it was a little cramped compared to other bus tours that we have been part of in Sapporo. I think that is due to that this tour is in Tokyo so more people were on the bus. The tour guide, Irene was very nice and accommodating, despite some rude tour people on the tour bus. As a bit of advice, when you are given a time frame in Japan, you better be punctual or you will be left behind! As we were going to various places, we were on a challenging schedule, so the tour guide let everyone know this at the beginning of the tour, and everyone needs to be respectful of each other's time. Two people did not respect this rule and ended up being left behind at one stop, but made it back to the bus at the next stop, fortunately for them the distance was reachable, but I'm sure had a bit of a walk to catch up. The weather that day did not allow for us to see Mt. Fuji, which was a bummer, but not the fault of the tour guide or the tour experience.

The highlight of our trip!

The guided tour picks up at Ikebukuro or Shinjuku station. Our tour guide was Nobu and he was quite wonderful! The bus ran right on time. It wasn't full for the day we chose because it was an overcast day. Mount Fuji peeked out of the clouds for just a moment while we were at the top so we got to see it!! It was awesome!! The tour hits up the Mt Fuji 5th station shop, includes a lunch at a French restaurant (with special accomodations for the vegetarian in our group). You get a $3 souvenir or ice cream voucher too. The cruise on the lake was the best part! If I was making a suggestion, the top of Mt Fuji and the amusement park could be 15 minutes longer and the lake area could be 30 minutes less in exchange. Other than that it was the absolute best and I would recommend to anyone!

It is highly recommended this tour of Fuji.
Mt. Fuji Fifth Station – It was cold with heavy rain in the trip to Mount Fuji. The tour guide was nice and caring. She was a Japanese with good spoken in English.
Lunch at Fuji-Q Highland was very great and the food was delicious. The environment in the restaurant in Fuji-Q Highland was nice and grand.
Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi & Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
- We spent enough time in a boat at Lake Kawaguchi and Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. I enjoyed the trip and eating delicious soft serve ice cream.
Again, it was a Great tour! it was very convenient.

I highly recommended this tour if you want to go to Mount Fuji. The bus was cleaned and the tour guide gave tour description for every accurately. Lunch at Fuji Q highland park was delicious and served very well. Although it was raining all day during the trip but we can enjoy it. We have enough time for cursing at Kawaguchiko lake and enjoy fantastic view during the ropeways. My children loves the free ice cream voucher.
I gave 5 stars for veltra and thank you for given us a memorable and wonderful journey in Mount Fuji.

An amazing full day trip for the family!

Even though it was hard to find the meeting place since it was underground, we were pleased to know that the rest of the group were only boarding the bus. We were lucky that we were able to see the mountain since we were told that it was raining up until the day before our tour. The lunch was good and substantial, and kind of fancy because of the ambiance. The cruise was incredible since we got to see the entire mountain from the lake as well as the view from the top of the cable car ride. This was such a great experience even our parents were impressed! I definitely recommend this tour!

Great deal for a great full day tour!

At first, we were hesitant to book this tour because the price was too good to be true, but we took a chance and wanted to experience it ourselves. We had a difficult time finding the meeting place and was late for a couple of minutes, but Ms. Terry, our guide, waited for us. The bus ride took 2 hours from Shinjuku to the Mt. Fuji 5th station. We were greeted with a picturesque view of the mountain as well as a lovely 40 minute tour with a pleasantly cold weather. Don't forget to try the mountain-shaped melon bread there! We had a good three course lunch at the Fuji Q Highland restaurant. It's also a great photo spot where you could see more of the mountain. We then headed to the Lake Kawaguchi boat cruise where you could have a closer look at the mountain as well as a cable car ride at Hakone rope way. As you exchange the ticket for the cable car, you also get a free pen as a souvenir. The tanuki dango with soy and matcha drink there is really good. There was also a good ice cream shop where you could choose from four flavors; peach, vanilla, lavender and grape. All in all, with the tour, food and the bus ride going back to the meeting point, the price for this full day tour is such a steal. I highly recommend this tour for those of you who want to maximize their budget. The guide was really good at explaining and was very accomodating!

Highly recommend this particular tour of Fuji. Tour description is very accurate, every activity was completed in time. Tour started at 5th station, ok time was allowed there. Then lunch was in Fiji-Q park, lunch place was nice, French restaurant with full course menu. Then plenty of time was given for the scenic rope-way with best views of Fuji and a boat at Kawaguchiko lake. All tickets and lunch included in tour price; they even gave a voucher for an ice cream or small souvenir at lake Kawaguchiko. Would absolutely do it again.

Highly recommend this particular tour of Fuji. It is really hard to get to Fuji using public transportation outside of climbing season, so bus tour is great option. Tour description is very accurate, every activity was completed in time. Tour started at 5th station, ok time was allowed there. Then lunch was in Fiji-Q park, lunch place was surprisingly nice, French restaurant with full course menu. Then plenty of time was given for the scenic rope-way with best views of Fuji and a boat at Kawaguchiko lake. All tickets and lunch included in tour price; they even gave a voucher for an ice cream or small souvenir at lake Kawaguchiko. We are family of 4, and everyone highly enjoyed overall experience in this tour. We would absolutely do it again. Thank you, VELTRA, well done!

Private Mt. Fuji Tour from Tokyo with Arakura Sengen Shrine & Fuji Five Lakes
A great trip to Mt. Fuji area

My family and I took the private tour arranged by Tokyo Star Agency to the Mt. Fuji area, not to the Mt. Fuji itself, but rather to the surrounding areas such as Lake Saiko, Saiko Iyashino-Sato Nenba, Hanaterasu, Mt. Fuji Ropeway and also a visit to the local sake brewery, Ide Sake. Our tour guide, Mrs. Yuko Matsuka was an amazing lady and spoke good English. She lives in the Mt. Fuji area so she has extensive knowledge about this particular region. I really adored her. She also paid attention to my daughters' needs, I could tell that she's sincere and thoughtful. She took us for lunch at Maple Restaurant, the food was very good, enjoyed by my kids and also myself. It was one of the many great meals I've had during my trip in Japan.
Although what we hoped for was to see Mt. Fuji from a far unfortunately didn't come true due to the weather (it was covered with clouds), yet we weren't disappointed since Mrs. Yuko tried her best to entertain us and took us to alternative spots for us to enjoy the day. I also need to mention our driver, Mr. Kenichi Higashi, who was a good driver and also very friendly. He made sure that we're well informed about the traffic condition; also was keen to offer us to make stops at the rest station along the highway.
Overall, I do recommend everyone who's interested in taking a private tour to Mt. Fuji area, to choose the Tokyo Star Agency's service.

Very good tour

We loved the trip to Mount Fuji, it was very cold and rainy. We only had about 30 min to look around, would have loved more time! The included lunch was excellent! The boat ride was nice with great views. We didn't get to do the ropeway due to wind but was refunded the cost which was great customer service. The free ice cream was a bonus that I forgot about! Overall I would take the trip again if I ever make it back to Tokyo!

It is really weird when the weather is not good (rain and windy ) and your guide instead of making your day better, nice and interesting in each stop he was reminding and highlighting our bad luck because of the weather and we will not be able of see nothing
If we had a knowledgeable guide during the 5/6 hours bus ride, the trip maybe become much better instead of dropping us in each stop telling have a round and see you in 30/45 min.
I believe it is not good idea to join the trip when
sky is not clear if you can check the weather forecast before
For those who booking before like in our case it would be fair from the VELTRA to cancel the trip and refund it or exchange with another trip

I was on the fence between booking a private tour or a bus tour to visit Mt. Fuji but I’m so happy I decided to book a private tour. I couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide. Taiji made sure we were able to visit all the places we wanted to see around Mt. Fuji even if it went beyond the allotted time. He and the driver, Toshi, we’re fun to be with. I highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to visit Japan.

We booked this tour to cap our Japan visit based on several reviews. Overall the experience was great because it went to several places which had it's good and bad points. Blessed with good, clear skies, our group was lucky to see Mount Fuji on our way to the lake and when we reached the 5th stop. That in itself made the trip worthwhile-be forewarned that when the weather does not cooperate, you may not have a chance to see Mount Fuji. As for the rest of the day, our tour guide was Liza who was super sweet and entertaining. She gave information about each area and about Japan in general which was fascinating. There was an automated guide who spoke a little about the area as well but honestly, we preferred listening to Liza. I've been to other tours in the past where you listened to a recorded guide but it was a human voice. The tour was packed with several destinations which made us feel a bit rushed. Our 3rd stop was at the ninja village which was also our buffet lunch. The park itself was so fun but because we were only given an hour there, we didn't enjoy the entire village. Wished we could've spent more time eating and exploring the village. We also enjoyed the 5th stop but were only given 30 minutes there. Again, would've loved to have hiked up and enjoy the area but we had a final stop to get to. The final stop was a virtual ride in a theme park which is similar to one of the Disney California adventure ride. In my opinion, we could've skipped this activity entirely so we can spend more time at the Ninja Village and 5th stop. Overall, the tour was good not outstanding due to the time constraints. Liza kept everyone on track and on time and did a wonderful job explaining the sites and history. I would recommend this tour with the lunch option because it was very good for what you get.
