Tokyo
I booked this tour hoping my foreign friends would enjoy it. We visited two courses: Asakusa and Odaiba, but the Odaiba course was particularly well-received. The first stop was next to Tokyo Tower. The beautifully lit Tokyo Tower was breathtaking and even for someone living in Japan, it was moving. Since we were on a bus with a transparent upper deck, I was able to take photos of Tokyo Tower from a close-up angle, looking up at it. Additionally, we were lucky enough to see fireworks near the Rainbow Bridge. I wish we could have extended our trip to Roppongi, but there were few buses, so we had to give up. I think the illuminations in Roppongi are beautiful this time of year, so I hope the bus frequency increases a bit. Another issue was that, despite it being Saturday, the service was running on a weekday schedule. According to the staff, they had started running the same schedule all day for a while now. I found out about this on the morning of the tour and had to change my plans, so I felt it would have been helpful if this information was available on the website.
best tour if you have a small amount of time in Tokyo. We went to a lot of places and it does not feel rush. We will use veltra again when we go back to Japan!
We were lucky on the day we visited. Sky was clear and we were able to see Mount Fuji and also visited the Owakudani Valley (and eat the Black Egg!). Our tour guide, Kana-san speaks good English and clear. She also gave us alot of visitor information on Japan. We did not make any lunch reservation therefore we ordered food from the hotel on that day itself - not too pricey, for about 1300yen and you will get a quite decent bowl of Hot Udon with tempura.
Worth going for this tour!
Unfortunately with the traffic, touring by Coach was not a good idea as we spent most our time travelling. May be going by bullet train and meet at the station would have been better, Drivers and guide were very nice.
Bus drivers very helpful, staff generally very kind and helpful. The two routes we took encompassed quite a great deal of the city. We preferred the route that took in the Rainbow bridge. We had a job finding the office to collect our ticket after getting our online voucher, but a kindly bus driver took us to the office and dropped us off. Once there we were able to get our tickets and were off. The bus is hop on hop off but limited in time, so we were only able to do the two routes in one day as there was a gap over lunch time, which is why we found a little restaurant near the office to while away the time until the afternoon bus. They are not as frequent as we have found in other cities, but on the whole worthwhile for the money.
We went on the private Mt. Fuji pilgrimage tour. Our tour guide was Taiji Endo. We all had a good time and our our guide was great! Very informative and a safe driver. He also gave us a good restaurant recommendation for lunch. We would definitely recomment the tour and our tour guide as well.
Thank you very much for your comment. It was also great for me to attend your family. We've had a very nice day and I'm so happy that you enjoyed my plan. I hope you enjoyed the rest for your days in Japan. I wish I had more time to talk with you all and I really hope to see you again.
The bus ride is fine for a speedy trip through parts of Tokyo. We had good weather, but I would not do this in the rain. The guide was a bit out of sync at some points and cut the commentary short when you went past locations at higher speeds. It was a good intro to Tokyo, but I am not sure I would recommend it for the price.
Unfortunately, rain was pouring down this day. We got all wet on the bus. Can only visit Asakusa Temple. Not a memorable day to speak off.
Taiji is a great guide. He arrived on time and took us to Mt Fuji. He has the 'Mt Fuji luck' where every tour group he brings, the mountain view is clear. He speaks very good english and french too! My children loved him. This itinerary was fun and relaxing just the way we wanted.
The pleasure was all mine with such lovely kids on my van. I'm also glad that you parents did enjoy the meal. Thank god for this "Goen" that we had and hope to see you again, maybe in your country next time.
Great tour! Fuji was viewable and we were very lucky. Our 2 guides Michael and Xavier were knowledgeable, helpful, very positive people and we would definitely recommend them as our guides.
I suggest if you ask people to meet at the love statue, you should have one of the guides there, as it was a rainy day in the morning and we were standing there not clear if it was the meeting point. We saw a green bus nearby and went to investigate, and that was the actual meeting point, but if we would have continued being passive, we might have missed the bus.

We enjoyed the tour, flight simulator was very exciting and we managed to get a clear view of the mountain when the clouds cleared for a short time. Tour guides were very helpful and knowledgeable

Definitely go to this tour when it is a nice sunny day! We went when it was foggy and cloudy so we did not see Mount Fuji at all. The lunch menu isnt that great as the tour brings you to one hotel restaurant. Average price per meal was at least 12,000 YEN. I would suggest to eat at the first pit stop restaurant that is attached to the convenient store. Me and my BF had a ramen bowl that was pretty good for only 500 YEN! We also ate at another restaurant at the Mount Fuji pit stop. That ramen bowl was pretty descent as well! About 700 YEN. Also when the tour is over, I would highly suggest riding the bullet train back since it only takes about 30-40 minutes to get back to Tokyo compared to the bus ride that takes about 2 and half hours. Overall, the tour was okay and I was disappointed that we did not see Mount Fuji and this tour lasted 8+ hours.
Convenient bus and Shinkansen tour to visit both Mt Fuji and Hakone in a day from Tokyo. Many people but worth it. Convenient pick up from hotel.
Excellent tour to visit both Mt Fuji and Hakone in the day from Tokyo. Convenient and fun. Easy pick up from hotel. Highly recommended!
Mike Otani, the tour guide, was warm, friendly and attentive. His personality added a unique flavor to the tour. That's for sure! The tour bus was comfortable, and you can safely leave your things on the bus as you explore the different sights. Regardless of the clouds covering Mt Fuji during our stop at Lake Kawaguchi, a variety of beautiful flowers and a taste of the delicious, locally made blueberry ice cream made up for the obscured view. We also enjoyed the little fruits and veggie store there and bought fresh plums and tomatoes. Oshino village was charming but very much crowded that it felt like a busy market. Lunch at the ninja-themed village was delicious and filling. The place would probably be more enjoyable for families with young kids that need to get their wiggles out after having to sit still on the bus for some time. Mt Fuji 5th station was amazing! The clouds parted just as we got there and granted a view of the summit. You can get away from the crowds by avoiding the shops and hiking some distance up the Yoshida Trail and taking in the breathtaking views. The 4D experience was awesome and exciting! You really feel as though you are flying over Fuji-san and will appreciate the scenery even more. Disappointing that the schedule was too tight to allow a visit to the “La ville de Gaspard et Lisa” in the adjoining section of the park. Wouldn’t have minded paying extra and going home a little late for that. We do feel the various stops were a bit rushed and would've enjoyed a more leisurely pace to allow us to linger a bit longer at certain places. There is just enough time to take pictures and buy food, produce or souvenirs. Perhaps if the tour were to start earlier, then we would be able to unhurriedly digest the activities. Overall, the tour was excellent and well worth it! Would recommend it again, especially to families with kids. Quality of service is great and we are thankful for the experience. Would easily book another tour with Japan Panoramic.

It was raining and traffic was bad during our visit. We did not see Mt. Fuji and we had to skip the cable car ride. I think we should have skipped the 5th station so we could've taken the cable instead. Although the food was delicious, I had hoped the food they prepared for us was Japanese and not Western food. Make sure to check the weather before booking this trip.
Miss Silky was a great guide. The whole family really enjoyed it.
It was our first trip to japan and I was traveling with my husband. We chose the mt fuji tour with lunch. The tour was excellent and enjoyable. Our tour guide Nana was friendly and helpful and she provided us with some interesting information about fuji.
Our meeting place was at the love statue at shinjuku in the early morning. We departed about 15 to 20minutes later than scheduled time as there were a few groups who were late. The journey to mt fuji took more than 2 hours as there were a bit of heavy jam along the highway and this was expected as it was a weekend. The scenic view was really beautiful during the journey.
We passed by lake kawaguchi first bfore stopping at Oshino Hakkai, the Oshino Eight Seas, our first stop. The lakes were beautiful and the water was clear with nice reflective images of its surroundings. We grabbed some small local bites which were delicious and we also bought their local corns which was sweet and juicy. After that, we proceeded to our next destination at the ninja village.
We had our ordered japanese local lunch which was delicious. After that we had a relaxing foot onsen before we ended up at the gift shop to buy some nice souvenirs.
After lunch we proceeded to mt fuji 5th station. It was a foggy day and we could only see fujisan on and off at times. Nevertheless the view of mt fuji was beautiful. We managed to get some really nice shots of mt fuji and also with our tour group.
The last stop was the Fuji Airways 4D attraction. It was a unique and memorable experience. We got to see mt fuji all four seasons and the views were breathtaking. This was the highlight of the whole tour. The feeling was surreal and experience was really awesome. It lasted for about 15mins. After that it was bus back to shinjuku. As the night was still early, our guide shared with us some interesting tips on nearby shops we can visit and what we can buy. Overall it was a really enjoyable trip.
I highly recommend this tour!

Enjoyed our time on the hop on, hop off bus. The first loop we did was Asakusa course and got off and on the busses at different stops. We were able to see some major sights and the time in between the bus returns was reasonable with about an hour time frame. We then did the Odaiba Course and only got off at a one stop since the time frame was over an hour for the next bus and it was getting late. We enjoyed having the transportation around Tokyo since it was our first time there and it helped us determine what sites we would like to return to the next few days using the subways. I would highly recommend this tour for first time guests in Tokyo.
Hop on Hop off is the best way to Tour Tokyo when on a limited time. It gives you enough information of the sites as you go around the city. They also have 3 selections for Tour routes which you can access. Also allows you to go around without having to use the subways.
We were able to see Mt Fugi and travel up to station 5! There was a stop along the way to use the restroom. Dinner was yummy at a beautiful hotel. We just wish it had been Japanese style food- not western- that is why we are IN Japan! We also wish there had been more time devoted at being at the mountain. It was very rushed and so very crowded. SO much time was spent waiting in lines.
we enjoyed our sightseeing, cllimate was just right as we cross the rainbow bridge. we discovered so many things about Japan's diff locations, very informative and helpful to in selecting places we want to explore on our limited time in Tokyo. we were glad that we book hop on hop off.
The tour guide is very cheerful. She's got a lot of inputs about mt. Fuji and the towns we passed by. She taught us numbers from one to ten in japanese where you can get and absorb right away because of the way she presented it. she also taught us how to make mt fuji art made out of origami paper during the bus ride. The drivers were very good and very efficient even with the long and winding road. It doesn't make my kids dizzy. It was a great and fun experience.
It was very well organized tour, thanking to the guide Mrs. Hitomi.
We wish we could see the Fuji yama but it was so foggy, even though we enjoyed all activities.
My husband and I attended the Day tour to Mt. Fuji on Saturday. We were picked up near the LOVE statue in Shinjuku which is very convenient to everyone. Also audio was given to us which is on different languages through out the tour. Free wifi was on board and the tour guide were awesome including the driver. They were very helpful in everything. I will recommend this tour to my friends and I believed that it's worth the money.
Good job!

The tour guide (kamiko) took care of the whole tour bus group from the hotel to the bullet train. Pickup was right outside of our hotel and straight to mt. Fuji which was very clear that day! Then to hakone for a cruise on the lake and a cable car up to the too of that mountain to see mt fuji across the lake. Then we were dropped off at the bullet train station with ticket included. The whole day was carefree!
We ordered the chicken set and i just wished they served it warm or at least the rice should be warm. Otherwise everything was wonderful. The facilitators were nice and friendly and really helpful.

Wonderful tour. Very well organized. Took us to all the important sights of the city. Enjoyed a delicious lunch. A great overview of the city.
