On the last day of my trip, I woke up to a view from the hotel window of rain, dark skies, and rough seas... I had given up on snorkeling for the day. However, we were told it was okay to go to the sea! To my surprise, the water was calm! The visibility was slightly reduced due to the dark sky, but it was still beautiful, and I even got to see four sea turtles! The pre-tour briefing was also very thorough and informative.

I've been on several snorkeling tours, but this one was the easiest to understand and the most carefully explained, allowing me to enjoy it with peace of mind! Next, I want to go diving! I definitely want to visit the sea around Yakushima again!

旅の最終日、朝起きてホテルの窓から見える景色は雨、暗い空、荒れる海...今日のシュノーケリングは中止だなぁとあきらめていました。が、大丈夫とのことで海へ！案内された海は穏やかでびっくり！空が暗かったので透明度はやや落ちましたが全然キレイで４匹の海ガメさんにも会えました！事前の説明もとても丁寧に教えてくれました。
何度かシュノーケルツアー行きましたが、１番分かりやすく丁寧に教えてくれて安心して楽しめました！
次はダイビングで！屋久島の海また行きたいと思います！

Even in late October, thanks to the warm waters, the sea wasn't cold, and I enjoyed snorkeling for a whole hour in a calm bay. During that time, I encountered six sea turtles! One little turtle even came closer and closer, to the point where I felt like I had to escape! Haha. I've dived many times with a license, but this was my first experience with so many turtles up close.

I had to give up diving because of my evening flight, but it might have been a lucky break!? I was also thrilled to have the best moments captured on camera, and I received the data later, which was a nice service.

The instructor was not only attentive in the water but also shared many interesting stories about their life since moving here, which conveyed their love for Yakushima and warmed my heart.

The former mackerel factory, which serves as a storage area for equipment, is close to the sea, and the hot shower felt rejuvenating. It was minimal but a functional space with a unique charm.

After snorkeling, I had planned to go to a day-use hot spring, and I really appreciated that they noticed the change in operating hours and provided transportation to and from the accommodation and the souvenir shop.

In just a little free time, it turned out to be a wonderfully luxurious experience that felt very much like Yakushima. Thank you! After returning to Tokyo, I recommended it to five friends!

10月後半でも、ウェットのおかげか海は寒くなく、穏やかな入り江で、じっくり一時間シュノーケル。なんとその間に６匹もウミガメに遭遇！コガメちゃんに至っては、どんどん近付いてきて、私が逃げるほど！笑っ。ダイビングも免許持ちで何度も潜っているが、ここまで多数&接近ウミガメは初めて。
当日夕方発の飛行機でダイビングを諦めたけど、むしろラッキーだったかも！？最高の瞬間をカメラにおさめて頂き、後日データを貰えるのも、嬉しいサービス♪
インストラクターさんも、海での丁寧な対応は勿論、移住から今の生活まで面白いお話をたくさんしてくれて、屋久島愛が伝わり、ほっこり。
元鯖節？工場という機材置場は、海からも近く、お湯シャワーで生き返る心地。必要最低限だけど、機能的な空間は独特。
シュノーケル後は、日帰り温泉に行く予定が、営業時間の変更も気付いてくださり、宿のピックアップ、お土産さんまでの送迎もとても助かりました。
ほんの空き時間で、とても屋久島らしい贅沢な体験となりました。ありがとうございます！
帰京後、友人5人にはオススメしましたw

I participated with my 10-year-old son and my family of three. At first, we were taught how to swim and how to deal with water entering the mask, which made us feel safe entering the ocean. We were captivated by the large schools of mackerel, tropical fish, and coral in the underwater world. I would love to participate again when we visit Yakushima!

10歳の息子と家族3人で参加しました。初めに泳ぎ方やマスクに水が入った時の対処法など教えてもらえるので、安心して海に入る事が出来ました。
キビナゴの大群や熱帯魚、サンゴなど海の世界に魅了されました。また屋久島に行く時は参加したいです！

The surface of the water was a bit hazy due to the rain, but overall, the visibility underwater was good, and there were plenty of fish, allowing us to enjoy the experience throughout.

I was particularly satisfied to encounter a large school of mackerel and a sea turtle. The school of mackerel was so vast that I found myself surrounded by them, which was truly moving. Seeing the sea turtle swimming gracefully up close was also amazing.

The guide provided a lot of information about the waters around Yakushima, both during the pickup and while we were in the sea, making me feel at ease and enjoy the guided experience.

Overall, I was able to experience the charm of Yakushima's sea without any stress, and I definitely want to go back!

雨水の影響で水面付近はモヤモヤしてましたが、基本的に海中の視界は良好で魚も多く終始楽しむことが出来ました。

特にキビナゴの大群、ウミガメにも会えて大変満足しております。
キビナゴの大群はいつの間にか自分が囲まれているほど見渡す限りの大群で、本当に感動しました。
ウミガメは優雅に泳ぐ姿を間近に見ることが出来たのでこれも最高でした。

ガイドの方には送迎の時から海に入っている時も屋久島の海の情報をいろいろと教えて頂き、安心して楽しくガイド頂きました。

総じて終始ストレスフリーで屋久島の海の魅力を体感することが出来たので、また行きたいと思ってます！

I participated in the afternoon.
I was glad to see many things like sea turtles, rays, and schools of sardines.
The guide also carefully explained the characteristics of the fish and corals, which was interesting.

You can also get photos for free, so I think even beginners can easily join in.
I definitely recommend trying it during your free time.

Next, I would like to participate in diving as well.

午後から参加しました。
ウミガメ、エイ、きびなごの群れなどたくさん見ることが出来て良かったです。
ガイドさんにも魚やサンゴの特徴を丁寧に教えて頂き、面白かったです。

写真も無料で頂けますし、未経験の方でも気軽に参加できるのではと思います。
空き時間に是非試して頂きたいです。

次は、ダイビングにも参加したいと思います。

I was anxious about snorkeling for the first time, but they carefully taught us how to use the equipment and swim, making it easy to understand even for beginners. Unfortunately, we couldn't encounter any sea turtles due to bad weather the day before, but I was moved by the many beautiful fish we saw.

My mother panicked as soon as she dove in and wanted to give up, but since we were the only two participants, they took the time to guide us slowly in the shallow water, adjusting to our pace, which allowed us to enjoy the experience until the end.

I was also very happy with the free photo service. I was considering renting a camera, but I learned from reviews that they would take photos for us. They captured both videos and photos, which made for wonderful memories!

Additionally, although it wasn't related to snorkeling, while we were chatting at the shop afterward, they provided us with other sightseeing information. We initially planned to just return the next day, but thanks to their suggestions, we were able to make different plans and visit our desired destination. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. I want to come back and try to see the sea turtles again! Thank you! (＾ν＾)

初めてのシュノーケルで不安でしたが最初に道具の使い方や泳ぎ方を丁寧に教えてくださり、初めてでも分かりやすかったです。残念ながら前日の天候が悪くウミガメには出会えませんでしたがたくさんのキレイなお魚をみることができ感動しました。

母が潜ってすぐパニックになり諦めると申し出たのですが体験者が私たち2人だけだったのもあり浅瀬でもう一度ゆっくり指導してくださり、私たちのペースに合わせて進んでくださったおかけで無事に最後まで楽しむことが出来ました。

また写真の無料サービスもとても嬉しかったです。カメラをレンタルしようと考えていたのですが口コミで写真を撮って頂けることを知りました。動画と写真の両方を撮っていただけたので思い出に残るのでいいなと思いました！

またシュノーケルとは関係ないのですが終わってからお店で話をしているときに他の観光情報など教えてくださり、次の日は帰るだけの予定でしたが違う予定を立てられ目的地に行くことできました。それも含めてとても楽しい滞在になりました。またウミガメに会いにリベンジしたいです！ありがとうございました（＾ν＾）　

I was a bit anxious about snorkeling after a long time, but thanks to the thorough instructions on how to use the equipment and swim, I was able to enter the sea with peace of mind. The water was so clear that I could see all the way to the seabed while snorkeling, and I was able to see many more marine creatures than I expected, which made me very satisfied!

久しぶりのシュノーケリングで少し不安でしたが、事前に道具の使い方や泳ぎ方を大寧に教えていただけたので、安心して海に入って行くことが出来ました。
海の透明度が高いので、シュノーケリングでも海底までよく見えて、期待以上に多くの海の生き物を見る事が出来て大満足です！

My first snorkeling experience was honestly a bit nerve-wracking, but I was able to gradually get used to it because they taught me carefully at the beginning! The weather was cloudy, but I was thrilled to see sea turtles multiple times before getting used to snorkeling!! I was also happy that all the photos and videos taken were transferred to my phone (and they were really beautiful!). The guide contacted us the day before to let us know that we were the only customers, so they could start earlier, which I felt was very kind of them. Thank you very much!!!

初めてのシュノーケルは正直不安でしたが、はじめに丁寧に教えてもらえるのでだんだんと慣れることができ良かったです！天気はくもりでしたが、海亀にはシュノーケルに慣れる前に何度も会えて感動でした！！撮ってもらった写真や動画もまるまる全部携帯に入れてもらえるので（しかもとっても綺麗！）嬉しかったです！

It was my first time snorkeling, but with the thorough explanation, I was able to get used to it quickly.
I encountered sea turtles multiple times and was able to get close to them.
Also, our guide took photos of us while we were snorkeling, and after it was over, we received a lot of high-quality photos and videos!

After arriving at Yakushima by plane, we had a snorkeling experience where we could meet sea turtles starting at 3 PM! The timing was perfect, giving us plenty of time to relax before the activity. The guide was very kind and entertaining, making for a really enjoyable time! We saw several sea turtles and were able to swim with them, which was incredibly satisfying! Highly recommended! ✌️

I participated in the morning tour. They provided transportation from the hotel, and the staff gave a thorough explanation of how to use the equipment, which I think is reassuring for first-timers. There were turtles in shallow waters, so we were able to see them right away. We encountered turtles about five times, and my wife was also delighted. (I have gone snorkeling in Okinawa, Ishigaki, and Miyakojima, but this was the first time we swam with turtles together.) After the tour, we borrowed a shower room at the shop (it had shampoo and body soap, and it was clean), and the iced coffee we received as a service was also delicious. Thank you very much.

午前中のツアーに参加させて頂きました。
ホテルから送迎して頂き、現地で用具の使い方など丁寧に説明をしてもらったので、初めての方にも安心だと思います。
浅いところに亀がいるので、すぐに会えました。
5回ほど亀に会うことができ、妻も喜んでいむした。(沖縄、石垣、宮古島でｼｭﾉｰｹﾘﾝｸﾞしましたが、初めて一緒に亀と泳げました。)
終わった後はお店でシャワールームをお借りして(シャンプー、ボディーソープ有り、綺麗でした。)、サービスで頂いたアイスコーヒーも美味しかったです。

I had a great time meeting a lot of turtles.
I participated with my two children, so there were four of us.
They adjusted the pace for us, which made me feel safe participating.
We received a lot of underwater photos, and I was able to create many memories. ✨

I was able to see sea turtles up close. For some reason, the turtles in Yakushima don't run away. The sea around Yakushima is rich in various types of fish and, oddly enough, they are friendly. The guide was easygoing and provided a thorough lecture without any tension. Afterward, we moved to the shop, which had a nice shower room and changing area, so I felt reassured. I also enjoyed the coffee time. They took beautiful photos for free and transferred them to my smartphone!

ウミガメが至近距離で見れました。なぜか屋久島のカメは逃げません。屋久島の海は魚の種類も豊富でなぜか人懐っこい。気さくなガイドさんでレクチャーも丁寧で緊張感ナシ。終わった後もショップに移動してキレイなシャワー室と更衣室もあって安心です。コーヒータイムも楽しかったです。無料で写真もキレイに撮っていただいてスマホに入れてくれますよー

My flight was canceled, and despite the sudden change to travel by boat and the adjustment of the pickup location, they were very kind and accommodating.

The weather was also fantastic, even during the rainy season!

The underwater world was amazing. On this day, I encountered three sea turtles and had a rendezvous with them. I was so impressed that I could have such an experience so close to the beach in Yakushima.

I received great assistance from our guide, Harazaki, who provided me with information about Yakushima right after I arrived.

My satisfaction level is 200%. I want to try diving next time!

飛行機が欠航になって急遽船で向かい時間と送迎場所が変更になったにも関わらず親切に対応頂きました。

I was able to swim really close with the sea turtles! The ocean was beautiful, and I could see other fish as well; it was the best! It was a very satisfying tour!! I'm glad I used this service.

I went to Yakushima on a solo trip! I received one-on-one guidance, and there were more sea turtles than I expected, so I was able to take a lot of photos ^_^ It was fun!

I was honestly skeptical about the guide's claim that "the sea turtle encounter rate is 99%!" but I ended up encountering sea turtles quite easily. Not just one, but several! My friend, who kept saying how cold it was at first, completely forgot about the cold and was super excited by the end!

The sea around Yakushima was more enjoyable than I had imagined.

ガイドさんの「ウミガメ遭遇率は99%！」というお話には正直、半信半疑だったのだが、あっさりとウミガメに出会えてしまった。
しかも1匹ではなく何匹も！
最初は寒い！を連発していた友達も、最後は寒さなど忘れて大興奮！

It's fine for beginners. The equipment explanations were easy to understand. It became a great memory. Next time, I'm considering trying a discovery dive.
