As the title suggests, I was able to encounter sea turtles. The snorkeling lasted about 50 minutes, which was enough time to enjoy the waters of Yakushima from the surface. First, there is a safety briefing to ensure proper snorkeling techniques. You can participate in just swim trunks, and they will lend you a wetsuit. If you borrow a wetsuit, it seems fine to declare your current weight plus 5 kg. They also take quite a few photos.

タイトル通り、ウミガメに出会うことができました。
シュノーケリングは50分ほどですが、屋久島の海を海面から堪能するには十分な時間でした。
最初に安全にシュノーケリングをするための動作確認などあります。
海パン１枚で参加してもウェットスーツを貸してもらえます。
ウェットスーツを借りる場合は現在の体重➕５kgで申告しても良さそう。
写真もかなり撮ってくれます。

I went snorkeling for the first time!

There was a lecture at the beginning where they explained the points, and I thought it would be easy, but once I got into the water, I felt a bit scared. Under the precise guidance of our instructor, Harazaki, I gradually got used to it, and in the end, I was even able to spot a turtle, which was really great. There were also beautiful fish swimming in the shallow waters, and it was a lot of fun! I encourage everyone to take a look under the sea. I want to participate again!

シュノーケリング初めてやりました！

最初にポイントを教えてくださるレクチャーがあり、簡単に出来そうた思いましたが、いざ海の中に入ると少し怖い感じがしました。
ガイドの原崎さんの的確なご指導のもと、段々と慣れていき、最後には亀を見つけることもできて
本当に良かったです。
浅瀬にも綺麗な魚が泳いでいて、楽しかったですよ!皆さんも海の中を覗いてみてください

At first, I was worried about whether I could do it well, but thanks to the careful instruction, I was able to get into the water right away. I also saw three sea turtles, and their graceful swimming was very soothing. Additionally, various fish, including clownfish, kept appearing, which was a lot of fun. Thank you very much!

My first time in Yakushima.
One of my goals was to meet sea turtles!
It was my first experience with snorkeling, and it had been years since I had even entered the ocean, but I was taught carefully from the beginning, and I was able to enjoy the underwater world 100% (no, even more!).
I was lucky to have good weather during this rainy season and to meet the sea turtles, making it the best day ever.
I also took a lot of photos, creating wonderful memories.

初めての屋久島。
目的のひとつが、ウミガメに逢うこと！
シュノーケリングは初体験、海に入ることさえ何年ぶりかの私でしたが一から丁寧に教えていただき、海の世界を100%(いえ、それ以上!)楽しむことができました。
梅雨のこの時期にお天気にも恵まれ、ラッキーにもウミガメちゃん達にも逢うことができ、最幸の一日でした。
写真もたくさん撮っていただき、素敵な思い出になります。

I felt安心して参加できました with the careful guidance! Although not everyone participated in the first snorkeling experience, I was very happy with the thoughtfulness and consideration shown! My slightly older mother was able to join in partway, and I’m really glad for that experience alone. Next time, I will definitely complete it! I think that kind of trip is also great! On May 29, 2023, I signed up for snorkeling because I wanted to see sea turtles. I was lucky enough to see them! On this day, I was the only participant, and the guide took care of me one-on-one. It had been quite a while since I last went snorkeling, but the guide explained how to use the equipment and breathe properly in detail, which helped me remember my past experiences and swim comfortably. I was able to swim alongside the sea turtles up close, and I enjoyed watching the clownfish and other fish gathered around the coral. It was a wonderful snorkeling experience.

I got a bit seasick, and when I got back to the shore, I felt dizzy. I apologize for worrying the guide. I hope to spend more time by the sea and visit again for diving next time. Thank you!

2023年5月29日、ウミガメを見たくてシュノーケリングを申し込みました。
見れました！　この日の参加者は運よく？私一人で、ガイドさんがマンツーマンでお世話してくれました。随分久しぶりのシュノーケリングでしたが、道具の使い方や息遣いなど丁寧に説明してくれて、昔を思い出して上手く安心して泳ぐことができました。ウミガメとゆっくり並走して間近で見ることができたし、クマノミはじめサンゴに集まる魚たちを鑑賞でき、とても素敵なシュノーケリングでした。
海酔いして、浜に上がった時には目が回り、ガイドさんに心配かけましてすみません。もう少し頻繁に海に接して、今度はダイビングで訪れたいと思います。

We rented the place for three family members. Since I can't swim very well, it was great to have the private session starting at 10 AM, which allowed us to go at our own pace. They provided wetsuits and life jackets, and for the kids, they also prepared floaties just in case. When putting on the life jackets, be ready for them to be tightened suddenly (laughs).

The sea turtles seemed accustomed to us and were adorably munching on their food without paying us any mind. The water was clear, and for some reason, it didn't feel sticky at all.

After the experience, we had to be a bit careful returning to the shop with wet bodies in the rental car, but the large seat covers made it manageable. They also shared recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing spots.

家族3名貸し切りで利用しました。
あまり泳げないのでマイペースにできる10時からの貸し切りにしてよかったです。
ウエットスーツとライフジャケットを、子供は念のために浮き輪？も用意していただきました。ライフジャケットを着せられる時、いきなりぎゅっと締め付けられるので覚悟してください（笑）
ウミガメさんは馴れているのか、私たちを全く気にすることなく黙々とごはんを食べててものすごくかわいかったです。
海の水もきれいで、なぜかあまりべたべたしませんでした。
体験後は体が濡れた状態でレンタカーにシートを敷いてお店まで戻るため、少し気
を付ける必要がありますがシートが大きいので大丈夫でした。
ご飯やさんやおすすめの観光スポットも教えていただけました。

I was happy to have a thorough explanation and to see the sea turtles. The showers and rest area were well organized after the activity, and I appreciated being able to relax with a drink! Thank you very much.

I participated with a friend. Our flight back was at 12:50, so we managed to find a snorkeling tour that started at 8:00. When we arrived, there was another participant, so there were three of us with one guide. In mid-May, the seawater wasn't cold, and we had a great time.

Soon after entering the water, we encountered a sea turtle, which came close to us, and it was really fun. While floating, I felt a bit seasick, but the guide advised me that it was better to look underwater, and I felt better right away.

It was great that we could walk into the sea from the sandy beach and take a shower afterward. I would love to participate again.

友だちと2人で参加しました。帰りの飛行機が、12時50分だったので、その前に、なんとか8時から参加できるシュノーケリングを見つけて、、、現地に行くと、他にもう1人参加者いて、3人にガイドさん1人でしました。
5月中旬で、海水の冷たさ感じず、楽しめました。
海に入って早々に、ウミガメに会えて、また、近づいてきてくれて、ほんと楽しかったです。
ぷかぷか浮かんでると、ちょっと酔って気分悪くなりましたが、海の中見た方が良い！ってガイドさんにアドバイスもらって、すぐに良くなりました。
砂浜から歩いて海に入れると、終わった後にシャワーもできて、ほんと良かったです。
また、参加したいです。

I was able to meet two sea turtles and various fish. I was surprised that I could swim so close to the sea turtles and even have my picture taken with them! The instructor took many wonderful photos for me. I had a happy time that flew by in an instant. Trekking is great, but I definitely recommend snorkeling as well!

2匹のウミガメと色々な魚に会えました。ウミガメとあんなに近くで一緒に泳いだり、写真を撮ってもらえるなんてビックリ！！インストラクターさんに素敵な写真をたくさん撮ってもらいました。あっという間の幸せな時間を過ごせました。トレッキングもいいですが、シュノーケリングも絶対におすすめです！！

During snorkeling, I was able to encounter four sea turtles and even got to take pictures with them! I also saw beautiful fish that I had never seen before, making it an amazing experience!

I participated in this trip alone. The sea is clear and transparent, so much so that you can see far into the distance; it's truly magical. I was also able to encounter a sea turtle, which didn't seem afraid of people, allowing me to see it up close. If you're coming to Yakushima, it's a waste to only go trekking! The ocean activities are fantastic too!

I joined a tour while traveling alone, and since it was a weekday, I was the only participant that day! I was very grateful that they still conducted the tour with such kindness. I had experienced trekking the day before and was a bit tired, but they provided a careful snorkeling guide tailored to my condition, which allowed me to participate with peace of mind. I encountered sea turtles in the beautiful waters of Yakushima, and it was a thoroughly satisfying snorkeling experience.

一人旅でツアーに参加し、平日だったこともあり何と当日の参加者は私だけ！それでも快くツアーを催行してくださり大変有り難かったです。前日にトレッキングを体験し身体の疲れもあった中、体調に合わせて丁寧なシュノーケリングガイドをしてくださったので安心して参加することができました。美しい屋久島の海でウミガメにも遭遇し、大満足のシュノーケリングでした。

Thanks to Kanno's lecture, I was able to relax and enjoy myself, even though I'm not good at swimming. Despite the heavy rain, the water was very clear, and I was able to see a lot of fish! It was a wonderful way to wrap up my trip. Thank you for adjusting the schedule as well.

Although we had to give up on snorkeling due to bad weather on the scheduled day, I really appreciated the suggestion for an experience the next day and the flexible transportation arrangements. The waves were high, so I wasn't sure if I could go into the sea, but I decided to take a chance, and it was the right decision! I got to meet some cute sea turtles, took lots of photos, and had a great time. The shower and coffee service at the lovely shop after snorkeling was also very nice (^^).

波が高いので海に入れるか行ってみないとわからない…という状況でしたが、一か八か行ってみて、大正解でした！

Although the day I participated was sunny, the wind direction was unfavorable, and we couldn't go to the sea turtle point. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied to see various fish, and I was moved when a sea turtle appeared at the end of the tour, allowing us to swim together up close! The photos and videos turned out beautifully, making for great memories. Even now, after leaving Yakushima, I find myself reminiscing while looking at them.

Additionally, the guide was kind and attentive to our needs, which made for a very fulfilling day. I am very grateful for that. I would love to rely on your services again when I visit Yakushima!

参加した日は晴れていたものの風向きが悪く、ウミガメポイントには行けませんでした。それでもいろんなお魚を見られて大満足でしたが、ツアーの最後にウミガメが現れてくれて、間近で一緒に泳げたのは感動しました！写真や動画もとてもきれいで、良い記念になりました。屋久島を離れた今でも眺めて思い出に浸っています。
また、ガイドさんが親切で、こちらの相談に乗ってくださったため、とても充実した1日を過ごすことができました。大変感謝しております。

I participated along with two other groups. Even though I was alone, I felt comfortable and had a great time. It seems that due to the effects of the typhoon, the sea was murkier than usual, but we were still able to see plenty of turtles and fish.

Since the guide was handling everything alone, all participants had to act together, but if there were those who needed more time to get used to snorkeling, they increased the practice time and took many photos, which they sent to us right away.

Snorkeling requires a slightly different way of breathing, and it can be anxiety-inducing to swim out to deeper areas where your feet can't touch the ground while wearing unfamiliar fins. However, once I put on the wetsuit, I floated effortlessly, so I didn't have to worry about drowning.

Thank you for your attentive service, even though I made a last-minute reservation.

私の他に2グループの方達と参加させていただきました。
1人参加でも気兼ねなく、とても楽しめました。台風の影響？らしく、海はいつもより濁っていたとのことでしたが、それでも亀やお魚も沢山見れました。
ガイドさんが1人で全て対応さているので参加者全員一緒に行動をすることになりますが、シュノーケルに慣れるまで時間がかかる方達がいたら練習時間を増やして対応されたり、写真も沢山とってくださり、すぐ写真も送ってもらえました。
シュノーケルは普段と少し違う呼吸の仕方？になる上に、慣れないフィンを着けて足の付かない深いところまで浜から泳いで行くので不安になりますが、ウェットスーツを着れば何もしなくても勝手に浮いてくれたので溺れる心配もありませんでした。

ギリギリで予約したのにも関わらず、丁寧に対応をしてくださりありがとうございました。

Not only did I encounter sea turtles, but I also met a rockfish, making it a wonderful memory. The guide was also very good. While Yakushima is known for its mountains, the sea was great as well.

海亀のみならずカサゴにも出会え最高の記念になりました。ガイドの方も非常に良かったです。屋久島は山が注目されていますが、海も良かったです。

I was worried that it would be cold in October, but it turned out to be a sunny day and quite warm. It was my first time snorkeling, but the thorough briefing made me feel at ease. I was moved to see not only the fish but also a baby green sea turtle. Regarding transportation, due to COVID-19 measures, we gathered and dispersed at the entrance of Miyanoura Port. There may be changes in the future.

10月は寒いかと心配していましたが、ちょうど晴れた日で暑いぐらいでした。シュノーケリングは初めてでしたが、丁寧なレクチャーで安心出来ました。お魚はもちろん、アオウミガメの子どもに会えて感動しました。送迎について、コロナ対策のため、宮之浦港入口での集合と解散となりました。今後は変更があるかもしれません。

It had been a while since I went snorkeling, but the instructor's detailed and careful explanations helped me swim without panicking in the water. I usually get seasick, but this course starts from the shore. I recommend it for those who get seasick since you don't have to get on a boat. I was very satisfied to see sea turtles and fish in the beautifully clear blue water!

久々のシュノーケリングでしたが、インストラクターのお姉さんの説明が詳しく丁寧で、海の中でパニックにならず泳ぎ続けることができました。
私はいつも船酔いするのですが、このコースは海岸から泳ぎ出します。船に乗らないので船酔いする人にもオススメです。
透明度の高い水色の海で海亀も魚もみれてとっても満足でした！

The instructor was very kind, and the children were able to participate happily. It was a shame we couldn't see the sea turtles, but it became a good memory!
