Discover the history between the two Koreas with an eye-opening visit to the DMZ. Get the rare opportunity to visit the Joint Security Area (subject to operation changes) and explore the Third Tunnel, one of the infiltration tunnels created by North Korea. Enjoy a Korean lunch, your choice of Bulgogi and Pyongyang Cold Noodle. On this tour, you'll be accompanied by a top specialist of the area licensed by the United Nations Command. No shopping stop guaranteed.

Please Note: The DMZ/JSA is subject to sudden closures by the United Nations Command (UNC) due to various military activities and security reasons. Alternatives and refunds will be offered for confirmed bookings. At the event of JSA cancellation, you may still explore other areas of the Korean demilitarized zone with Korea DMZ Tours.

If the DMZ is unavailable, you can still get close to the border with a Northern Limit Line Tour which includes a visit to the Korean War Memorial.

Joint Security Area (JSA)
The JSA is where all negotiations since 1953 have been held, which in general have done little more than eased tensions between the two nations slightly. The border line (MDL) goes through the conference rooms and through the of the conference table where the North Koreans and the United Nations Command - mainly made up of South Koreans and Americans - meet face to face.

Third Tunnel (DMZ)
The North and South are still technically at war and have been since the Korean war - only a cease-fire agreement was reached. The Demilitarized zone (DMZ) is a mass of land between the north and south spanning 2 kilometers that civilians are prohibited from entering. It is the third discovered tunnel that the North has drilled in secret to try and invade the South. It is believed that there may be several other, as of yet undiscovered tunnels running through the DMZ.
