Fun tour and knowledgeable guide

Reviewed by: Josh, 2019/09/09

The tour was very fun and the guide was very knowledgeable about past and present North Korean - South Korean relations. The tour took us to all the premier locations along the DMZ and JSA and allowed us to stop for souvenirs along the way. The highlight of the tour was definitely the JSA where we were able to see North Korean soldiers and a North Korean DMZ tour group! The included lunch was also very delicious. Would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends and possibly attend again!

Great and memorable tour!

Reviewed by: Jeff, 2019/08/15

Tour was very well organized, even having to rearrange the schedule due to the end if the day JSA portion. Tour guide, SP, gave good facts and history along the way. Our bus driver was professional and drove very well first in the rain, then the heavy traffic returning.I was especially impressed that there was no asking for tips at the end of the tour.
The one thing I didn't like was having to stop for the ginseng and amethyst sales pitch. I'm paying for a tour, not a sales pitch. While our group showed no interest and we moved on quickly, I still didn't like it.

  • Famous site of luncheon by two leaders.

  • Greeted by a mass of North Korean generals.

  • Tree planted by the two leaders.

DMZ Tour

Reviewed by: Sandy, 2019/07/27

Very disappointed that JSA tour was cancelled for that day as it was the main reason we booked the tour. However, still an informative and interesting tour. Our tour guide Mr. Han was nice and friendly. good control of time but still enough time to walk around and take photos. Advised to eat breakfast beforehand as will eat lunch late since the tour ended at 2:30. Highly recommended for first time visitors to Seoul.

Informative tour. Great guide

It is a Good Tour. SP is very informative as his English is very well. The North Korean defector who was with us answered most of our questions translated by SP. although we didn’t go to the JSA... it’s still OK the tour is Good. Maybe next time.

Outstanding Tour!!

Even though the JSP portion was cancelled (Tour company does not have control) the tour was great. We were a family of 5 and my daughters and wife loved it. We got a great history of Korea. The Tour guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell he cared about sharing Accurate history of both Koreas. Highly recommend this tour group. We even had a question and answer session with a North Korean Defector.

Interest coverage of the DMZ

Reviewed by: Rakeem, 2018/10/05

The tour was meant to be a JSA/DMZ tour but was changed to DMZ tour only in the morning due to military reasons. Not the best of starts but I kept a positive attitude.
The theme park and observatory views were interesting points as you could view scenery off North Korea. The museum at the tunnel was very informative on the Korean wall and had many good displays. The tunnel was congested and a long wait.
The train station was also very interesting as they explained future plans with North Korea and the worlds train connections.

DMZ with JSA

Reviewed by: Lauren, 2018/07/13

We had an amazing guide who really explained Korean history and culture. My only complaint would be the unexpected stop by shopping areas, which, although informative, wasn’t anything I read about. I’ll need to read the fine print next time.

Outstanding Tour: Make Sure to Opt for the JSA Tour with the DMZ: you won't regret it!

Reviewed by: John, 2018/07/05

My daughter and I toured the DMZ and JSA. Fortunately, the JSA was open to tours on our day. The JSA tours are cancelled when the South (or UN Forces) and North are engaging in talks at the JSA, which has been occurring more frequently as of late.

The DMZ tour is great but you don't actually enter the DMZ. You must take the JSA tour to tour Freedom House and the Panmunjon site. The JSA tour is amazing, and I highly recommend it. It costs more, but its worth it, and you have the opportunity to cross over into North Korean territory.

  • Panmunjon

  • Imgingak Station

  • Korean Wishes on barbwire fence in the DMZ area

  • Dora Observatory

Tour guide Han provided a lot of interesting history and perspective

Reviewed by: Tracy, 2018/06/06

I enjoyed the DMZ sites like the Freedom Bridge, Third Infiltration Tunnel, viewpoint of North Korea and Dorasan Train Station. Han kept us interested and informed on the bus ride between the sites. We were back by 2pm. We didn't see PanMunJeon, because it was closed to visitors until after the June 12th summit. But I got a good feel for what it's like from the models and Han's descriptions.

The tour of the amethyst factory was not so interesting for me.

Overall, I enjoyed the tour.

Enjoyed every bit of it.

Reviewed by: Raffy T., 2017/09/06

Aside from several changes of vehicle in Seoul before the start of the tour, everything went well throughout the trip.
The number of participants was just right, the information given during the tour sufficient enough. I would have given it a 5 star if we were given a little more time to explore each of the sites we visited. We got back to Seoul, i thought too early.
But overall everything was great.
I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends and most likely will do it again.

A Great Learning Experience

Reviewed by: dstacho1, 2017/08/20

I did the full day DMZ and JSA tour with my dad, and found it to be a great learning experience as our host taught us many things about the Korean War and the current situation. It was split up into a theme of past, present, and future, in which each location represented a different symbol of the status between the two Koreas.

The tour started by being picked up in a private car from our hotel, and then onwards in a tour bus with our guide and presenter SP Hong. SP was amazing and he kept us entertained as we drove through Seoul, and even the bus ride there was filled with interesting conversation and sightseeing. At the DMZ, the tour is quick and hosted by the US military, but they were also friendly and engaging. The later portion of the tour was a bit tiring as it was a lot of walking and standing in the hot sun, but the tunnels and JSA were great. You're able to take plenty of pictures and get some good views on North Korea. I strongly recommend this tour package. Thank you!

Jsa and Dmz

Reviewed by: Taylor , 2017/08/12

Our tour started with a personal pick up at our hotel, the driver came right to the door which was nice because it was tucked away in the side streets and hard to find. The tour bus was large and air conditioned. The group was small enough that we did not feel lost or overwhelmed by the number of people. There could have been more information about the history of the war provided by the tour guide during the drive there. We stopped at the Jsa and were able to go inside the building and ask questions. The American soldier that guided us was very friendly. Our lunch was okay, the food wasn't amazing but it wasn't awful. We feel that the time budgeted for lunch (an hour) was too long and that if this had been shorter we would not have been as rushed when visiting places in the Dmz in the afternoon. The tour ended with a trip to an amythyst store which was not part of the itinerary and was not particularly interesting. There was no hotel drop off but the area we were dropped off in was full of shopping and restaurants which was nice, it was also at the subway. The highlights were the Jsa, freedom bridge (you neee to pay to see it all), observatory (you need money for the binoculars), the train station, and the tunnels (LOTS of walking). We were also able to buy souvenirs at many stops.
