Gold Kindami Yuzen Kyoto Fabric Dying and Handcrafts Lesson
Overall Rating
5.00Artisans teach you for real!
Reviewed by: Shona M, 2019/03/07It was such a privilege and honour to learn a true Japanese fabric technique from and artisan who had been working for 60 years! Finding the place is a little tricky, but it is so worth it. The bag you get in the end is made of durable denim and good for holding any little trinkets you collect in your travels. I was there in spring so I was able to buy a box of sakura manju, too. :) you can do this alone or with children. I recommend bringing friends.

Fun Fabric Painting Class in Kyoto
Reviewed by: joanne, 2016/11/28Saori Okabe was wonderful. Her English is perfect. I would recommend this class to any one interested in fabric painting. Very kid friendly. The craft center is very close to the Nishiki Market. Please check out the first pic as the buildings sign is not in English. I did mention this, they may have put up an English sign.

Even for begginers
Reviewed by: Kami, 2016/03/26That Yuzuen course is for beginners I think. My husband had good time to make it - but he isn't a artist so he told me it was nice. For me it was just nothing special - just drawing on mat - but I had good time too. Raden was more interesting if you are an artist. Something new.
