There were several cancellations so we ended up with a private tour! Our guide was excellent in sharing the workings of the ranch and also of Hawaiian culture and history! We loved the time he took to tell us many stories of Hawaii and more.

Bryce and the crew were amazing!! We weren’t able to see any rays the first trip, so they had offered to bring us back to the later scheduled ride that evening, and we were able to see them then! This was such a cool excursion for us, we truly enjoyed every second of it. We will definitely be back!! Thank you guys :)

This was money well spent. The crew was very nice and sent emails for confirmation reminders and directions. They were very knowledgeable and gave a ton of information about rays through the evening. While I would love to have stayed in the water a bit longer it was a good amount of time to watch the rays swimming around. Plus it started to get a bit cold since you are not actually swimming.

Trevor, Allie and Diego were excellent hosts, both informative and entertaining. They provided all safety info in a clear manner, all the manta ray facts you could wish for, and a good laugh as well! We saw so many rays!! Allie was helpful with participants having trouble with positioning, Diego took great photos and shared them, and Trevor kept us all afloat and played great tunes. Would recommend, would go again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amount of time was perfect!
I'm not a person who gets seasick but I did in the water after laying horizontally with the waves for so long.

Saw so many manta rays.. at least four. They came close many times. Enough to record and to turn off your camera and just live in the experience.

Would recommend to anyone!

I liked this company because it's a small group and you get to ride a canoe.

The guide in the water was very nice and gave lots of information about the mantas. Small enough group that even though I was on the very end, I could hear him.

The manta rays definitely put on an amazing show for us, so I would give them five stars. More importantly though, we would give the crew five stars. They put in a lot of effort to make sure everyone was informed and comfortable, and they were very efficient. We would certainly recommend Iruka for this manta ray experience.

This was a fun experience. If you zipped before, you may find the first few lines not very exciting - they're shorter and mostly traveling over farm field without much in the way of scenery. But....the last 2 lines are really great and offer some fabulous views! The staff is also really great!

We booked our tour not knowing quite what to expect. We were absolutely blown away. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and hilarious. I was new to snorkeling and nervous (i had approximately 1 hour practice messing around on a local beach) but i immediately knew i was in good hands with the crew and there was always a crew member close enough so i could relax. Words cannot explain seeing these amazing creature swim inches from you. The rays were super active the night we went and put on quite a show. I think the topper for me was a few days after our tour we saw a crew member at a local farmers market and he remembered us and came up and spoke to us about our experience. I absolutely recommend doing this because we will do it again next trip.

Views were amazing. Driving the jeep was very fun, even for a person that had never driven one before. Guides were very informative. Worth every penny!

Pros: You will get as close as possible to many Manta rays, completely safe, even for kids, very informative guides.

Cons: They don't yet have an option to buy underwater photos or GoPro video of your experience, so bring your own.

Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

This tour is somewhat expensive, but worth the cost. The utv’s are in good shape, the trail is perfect and the guides demonstrate a high level knowledge of the islands. We very much enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hawaii.

I’ve never been snorkeling before so this was a first experience for me. This company offers great services. They have an option for you to pay $30 more per person for them to come pick you up at local hotel (within their distance). Great option because we didn’t rent a car for our trip to Hawaii. They offer wet suit for rental $10 per person. We didn’t rent any because it was warm enough but it’s a great option. The boat ride was about 30 minutes each way and they included sodas/a cup of hot chocolate and chips for you. The manta-rays we saw were huge and there were so many of them!! They came super close as well. The best part was that they even recorded the manta-rays and air dropped the videos to us!!! I don’t have an underwater camera so it was a great surprise when she (the owner?) offered to airdrop us videos.

Everyone says to do a helicopter tour in Big Island and they were not wrong!

We had such a great time on the zipline tour and would definitely do it again. The guides made us feel safe and instructed us on everything, especially since it was our first time. They made the entire experience fun and the views were breath taking. They walked us through everything and caught us at the end of each zipline. Highly recommend!

For those of us who had been to previous luaus this experience was amazing. The attention to history and story telling was very interesting. The costumes, dances and national history was educational as well as entertaining. (Especially the fire dancer!) Some of our friends had never been to a luau before and also thought it was wonderful. The food was presented beautifully and delicious. (The drinks were excellent too!) We even tried the poi because this was the first time it had ever been explained to us how to eat it and with what food combination. The location was easy to find and parking was ample. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great experience for our group of six and would highly recommend this event.

Going to the luau was a great way to kick off our trip to Hawaii learning about the history and culture, traditions and customs. Staff were attentive, meal was varied to allow for local cuisine and picky eaters in the group ( who knew Chick nuggets and Mac was customary but a fan fav for the kids!). Banana bread delicious. The show entertaining and ambiance pretty overlooking the water.

The tour guides were wonderful and knowledgeable. They made sure of everone's comfort levels and helped those who were inexperienced. The area is beautiful and the horses were gentle.

This was a fantastic Luau! Not my first one, I enjoyed the everything about it. The live musicians, singers, actors/dancers were all top notch. Very informative and exciting. The food was decent too, lots of choices.

We had a great time on the shuttle. Our driver, Forest was fun, professional and had so much to share about the area and island. We got to go down to some beautiful spots and get out to take pictures. It was amazing. I highly recommend you take this tour. The windows are out so you don't feel closed in. It is a long way down and up so think long and hard about hiking it. We are so glad we choose to Book this tour-- You will be happy you did! It was an amazing experience.

From our check in contact with Jeremy, our driver, to our trail guides, the guys were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The UTVs and all other equipment are top rate and inspire confidence. I have off road experience but we got my wife experienced and she did the initial 4 wheelin. She was thrillin and grinning. I have the video to prove it. We took in a lot of spectacular views and scenery. Cruising through the different climate zones was interesting and fun. There were a few, almost “oh shhhh” moments, that made the trip thrilling.
Our guys went out of their way to find us fresh tree ripened fruit. We sampled and took home some Strawberry Guavas and Pineapple Guavas. So delicious.
We were a family group of 5. The oldest is 72 and the youngest is 10 years old.
We agreed, we would all do this tour again. Thanks again Kohala UTV.

Our guide, John, was very patient with me. I've had zero experience riding an ATV but he took the time to make sure I was comfortable while encouraging me to do the solo ride (I was also given the option to switch to a two-seater). I'm so grateful because I had the best time and wish it could go on longer. We drove through the beautiful Umauma property -- rolling green gentle slope with a gorgeous view of the ocean and a sea of cows (yes, cows, that John had to persuade to move to give the riders more room to drive thru). We took a break at the watering hole where my son and husband enjoyed a cool dip near a low waterfall and enjoyed a quick snack. Thank you, John, for making it fun, adventurous and exciting!
