手頃な価格で素晴らしい旅行でした。ファーン・グロットでのエンターテイメントは素敵な演出でした。エンターテイナーたちは帰りのボートにも乗ってきて、歌やダンスを楽しませてくれました。乗り降りも簡単でした。

Nice trip for a reasonable cost. Entertainment at the Fern Grotto was a nice touch. Entertainers then return on the boat with you for the trip back, singing and dancing all the way. Easy on and off access.

ワイメアキャニオンはこのツアーのハイライトでした。ワイルア川とファーン・グロットも悪くはありませんでした（幸運にももう少し時間がありました）。

全体的に、ツアーはバスに座っているだけのように感じ、景色の良いスポットでの時間が短すぎました。いくつかの景色の良いスポットでは数分の短い停車がありました。一方で、ショッピング場所で20分の停車がありましたが、正直言って他の景色の良いスポットでその時間を過ごせた方が良かったと思います。昼食は1時間でしたが、別の場所を選んでいれば、もっと早く昼食が提供され、昼食の時間も短くできたと思います。

全体的に、このツアーではあまり多くのものを見られなかったと感じており、それが残念です。ワイメアキャニオンがタイトルに含まれているツアーなのに、ワイメアキャニオンに関しては決定的に物足りないと感じました。

ドライバー/ガイドを責めることはできません。彼はユーモアにあふれ、元気でした。しかし、彼が運転しなければならないツアースケジュールは明らかに改善の余地があると思います。（ワイメアキャニオンの展望台の後、私たちがそのエリアにいる間にカララウバレーの展望台までさらに進むのはどうでしょうか？）

もう一つのことですが、ピックアップ時間が7:00だったのに、バスが到着するまで7:40まで待たなければなりませんでした。ドライバーはスケジュール通りのようでしたので、おそらく7:40が彼に伝えられたピックアップ時間だったのでしょうが、残念ながら私にはその情報が伝えられていませんでした。

私の休暇中に多くの素晴らしいツアーを経験しましたが、残念ながらこれはその一つではありませんでした。ただ、素晴らしいワイメアキャニオンを見ることができたことには満足しています。

The Waimea Canyon was the highlight of this tour. The Wailua River and Fern Grotto were decent too (more time there luckily).

On the whole, I thought the tour felt too much like sitting in the bus, and too short time at the scenic spots. We had short stops of a few minutes at some scenic spots. Whereas we got a 20 minute stop at a shopping place, which honestly felt a bit like a waste of time to me when we could have spent that time at other scenic spots. Lunch was 1 hour long, but if a different place would have been chosen, lunch would have been served quicker, and we could have done with less time for lunch too.

On the whole, I feel I didn't see much during this tour, which is a pity. For a tour that has Waimea Canyon in its title, it felt decidingly light on Waimea Canyon.

I can't blame the driver/guide, as he was full of humour and well-spirited. But the tour schedule he had to drive could do with definite improvement I think. (Why not, after the Waimea Canyon lookout, drive further up to the Kalalau Valley lookout while we are in that area?)

One other thing: I got a pickup time of 7.00, but had to wait until 7.40 'til the bus arrived. The driver seemed to be on schedule, so presumably 7.40 was the pickup time communicated to him, but it wasn't communicated to me by the organisation sadly.

I did many great tours during my holiday. This wasn't one of them sadly, although I'm happy I got to see the magnificent Waimea Canyon.

The Guide for the Waimea Canyon tour was excellent. Very informative and enjoyable! The Wailua River Cruise to Fern Grotto was a total waste of time. The "entertainment" was very, very poor. Back in Florida, a local restaurant has entertainment far superior. Would definitely recommend the Waimea Canyon tour. Would Never have Anything to do with the Wailua river cruise to Fern Grotto with the laughable entertainment. Not interesting or professional enough to keep even the attention of children.

An enjoyable lazy trip down the river to a beautiful waterfall. Great Hawaiian entertainment too. Need to give the dancers more room to dance.

ファーン・グロットはハワイの歴史の一部です。もともとは大きな滝のあった場所で、灌漑のために川が迂回される前は、数百本のシダが生えていましたが、サイクロンに襲われたため、この場所はかつての姿ではありません。
1900年代初頭には非常に印象的な観光名所だったでしょうが、残念ながらシダは成長するために水が必要で、現在は川がここを通っていないため、この場所は決して以前のようには印象的ではなく、観光業者は無駄な努力をしているようです。
川を再びここに流すことができ、シダが再生することがない限り、お勧めできません。このアクティビティは終了すべきです！

The fern grotto is a piece of Hawaiian history. Originally the site of a huge waterfall, before the river was diverted for irrigation, and originally the site of hundreds of ferns, before being battered by cyclones, this place is not what it once was.
It would have been a very impressive tourist attraction in the early 1900s but unfortunately ferns need water to grow and as it is with the river not going through here this place will never be as impressive and at the moment the tourist operators are trying to flog a dead horse.
Unless they divert the river back through here and let the ferns regenerate I would not recommend it. Time to put this activity out to pasture!

このエクスカーションには特に期待していませんでしたが、エンターテイメントは素晴らしかったです。物語の語り、音楽、ダンスがあり、エクスカーションをこれ以上良くすることはできなかったと思います。予想以上のもので、後に見たルアウの素晴らしいスタートとなりました！

I was not particularly excited about this excursion because the fern grotto is all dried up and you can't go in anymore. However the entertainment was great. I dont think they could have made the excursion better with all the story telling, music and dancing. It was alot more than i expected and it was a great start to the luau we saw after!

クルーズは海ではなく川で行われるので、服装について心配している方も安心です。非常にリラックスした雰囲気なので、どんな服装でも適しています。スタッフは本物で、歓迎してくれました。スミス・ラウイと一緒に過ごしました。

The Cruise Is On A River Not IN THE Ocean FOR Anyone Worried About attire. It is very laid back atmosphere so any clothes are appropriate. The staff where authentic and made you welcome. I combined with smith laaui.

女性1人で参加しました。
元々日本語ツアー希望で申し込んでいたのですが、人数が揃わず不催行となり直前で急遽このツアーに変更しました。(カウアイ島はアメリカ本土やカナダ等からの観光客が多く、滞在中ほとんど日本人に会いませんでした)

当日の参加者は私以外全員英語圏の方で年配のご夫婦や友達同士が多かったです。車内は当然オール英語で、女性ガイド(兼ドライバー)さんが車窓に見える景色や植物、カウアイ島の歴史について、時にジョークを交えながら楽しくお話しして下さいます。ガイドブックや地図を持参するとより理解が深まって楽しめると思います。車の乗り心地も快適で、ウトウトしてしまうほどでした。

全参加者のピックアップを終えると、古き良き風情の残るオールドタウンを抜け、日系人経営のお土産屋さんでトイレ休憩(15分)を取っていざ出発！ 途中右手にさとうきび列車(?)が見えたり町並みを楽しんでいると、車は次第に山合いへ。。
ワイメアキャニオンに到着！ 目の前に広がる緑と赤土の山々は壮観です‼︎ 空気も澄んでいて清々しい気持ちになります。(…しかしここで30分の自由時間は持て余してしまったので20分あれば十分ですね)

次に訪れたのはカウアイコーヒーショップ。コーヒーの芳ばしい香り漂う店内にはお土産コーナー・カフェ・試飲コーナーがあり、ここは15分では足りずもっとゆっくりしたかったです。

続いてゴルフ場内にあるレストランでランチタイム(40分)。開放的な造りになっているので、青い空と太陽・爽やかな風を感じながらのランチはとても気持ちが良かったです。
メニューはハンバーガーやサンドウィッチ等が中心で、ガイドさんいわく「ココナッツクリームパイ」が美味しいんだとか。ただ、大人数での利用なので早くオーダーしないとなかなか料理が来ません。私はわずか10分しか食べる時間がなく、半分残す羽目になりました…(泣)

続いてポイプの潮吹き岩に立ち寄り(15分)、車はワイルア方面へ。オパエカア滝を見学した後、ワイルア川クルーズ&シダの洞窟へ。カヤックを漕ぐ人々とすれ違いながら遊覧船で川を上って行きます。そして船着場で船を降り、ジャングルの中を少し歩くと森の奥から歌声が。。ハワイアンミュージックの生演奏に迎えられ、シダの洞窟に到着です！ 森の中のプライベート空間といった感じで、神秘的な雰囲気に包まれながらミュージシャンとダンサーによるパフォーマンスとちょっとしたセレモニーを楽しみます。帰りの船の中でもパフォーマンスは続き、盛り上がりのうちにフィナーレを迎えます。

このように見所満載のツアーですので、初めてカウアイ島を訪れる方・レンタカーを借りていない方には特におすすめしたいです。

これは興味深い旅行でした。たくさんの楽しみがあり、ルアウの良い「部分」でした。

This was an interesting trip. A lot of fun and a good "part" of the luau.

カウアイに来るたびに、このリバークルーズを利用します。とてもリラックスでき、ワイルア川の乗船は穏やかで、パドルを漕ぐ必要もありません！ フェルン・グロットでのエンターテイメントや、戻り道の楽しさも大好きです。これまで連れて行った皆が楽しんでくれました！ ルアウの前にいつもこのクルーズを利用しています。素晴らしい価値もあります！

Every time we come to Kauai we take this River Cruise. It is so relaxing and the ride on the Wailua is calm and you don't have to paddle! We love the entertainment at Fern grotto as well as the fun on the way back to the dock. Everyone we have taken has enjoyed it! We always take this cruise right before going to the luau. A wonderful value too!

これは必見のエンターテイメントで、素晴らしかったです。川をクルーズするのはとてもリラックスできました。天気も最高でしたし、ルアウは必見です。食べ物と飲み物も素晴らしかったです。

This is a must entertainment was awsome and the cruise up the river was great very relaxing weather couldnt have been better and the Luau is a must execellent food and drinks

Excellent tour. Our guide (Juan) gave us an unforgettable day. Not only was the scenery spectacular but Juan also managed to pass on the story of the Hawaiian people and Kauai as experienced by himself through his life growing up on the island. Juan is to be commended and the tour highly recommended. We also took other tours operated by Polynesian Adventure Tours and they were also of a very high standard.

We enjoyed the lush surroundings, however, it cannot compare to our previous trip which was many years ago. At that time we were able to actually walk into the Fern Grotto and listen to the singers in the grotto. We did enjoy the entertainment on our return trip back to the dock.

This tour is awesome! So much more than expected! The family/crew were all very nice and very entertaining! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn a little bit of island history and relax on the comfortable boat!

Was definitely worth the time! I would have liked to be able to approach the grotto, but our guide was magnificent & the boat team made it a very enjoyable trip. Talented dancer & singers! We will cherish this memory!

カウアイ島でのオプショナルツアーを探していたところ、英語のみですが催行が確約されているとのことで決めました。要所を１日で巡ります。
ドライバー兼ドライバー（女性）の説明や、バス内のサービスは快適で、一人でも安心して参加できました。
昼食で立ち寄ったお店は見晴らしがよく、料理も美味しかったです。
ハイライトはワイルア川クルーズとシダの洞窟で、船内と洞窟前でのフラショーは今回の旅行で最もハワイを体感できました。

楽しかったです。礼儀正しく、プロフェッショナルなスタッフ、楽しめるパフォーマンスでしたが、フェルン・グロットでの滞在は少し短かったです。

River was calm. Performance was nice, but overall not so exciting. Won't do it again.

がっかりしました。4年前に行ったときは、ファーン・グロットは美しく、たくさんの美しい花がありました。今回はとても茂っていて、滝がほとんど見えませんでした。また、急かされているように感じ、そこにある花をじっくり鑑賞する時間もありませんでした。お勧めできません。

I was disappointed. I had been there about 4 years ago and the Fern Grotto was beautiful with lots of beautiful flowers to look at. It was so over grown you could hardly see the water fall. I also felt rushed, no time to admire the flowers that were there. I would not recommend this.

I was disappointed that we could no longer go up to the fern area due to damage beyond the River Cruise control.

車がない場合や運転したくない場合、観光するには素晴らしい方法です。快適な交通手段で、バスの運転手もとても親切で情報豊かでした。私たちにとっては長い日で、11時間かかりました。プリンスビルでのピックアップだったので、リフエやポイプからのピックアップの方が良かったです。ランチは提供されませんが、ポイプのゴルフコースでレストランに立ち寄るので、その追加費用を考慮しておく必要があります。ファーン・グロットには少し失望しました。植物園の中にはもっと素敵な場所がありました。ボートライドは楽しかったです！若い子供やティーンエイジャーには少し長すぎるかもしれません。私たちにとっては、自分たちで運転した方が良かったでしょう。

If you don't have a car or don't want to drive this is a great way to see the sights. Comfortible transportation and the bus driver was very nice and informative. Long day for us, 11 hours, because we were picked up in Princeville, better if picked up from Lihue or Poipu. No lunch is provided however they stop at a golf course in Poipu to eat in their restaurant, so prepare for that additional expense. Was a little disappointed with Fern Grotto, we've seen much nicer areas in the botanical gardens. Boat ride was fun! Might be too long a day for young children and teenagers, for us it would have been better to drive ourselves.

I really enjoyed this. The staff were friendly, but not pushy. Nobody tried to sell me something else or tried to get me to upgrade to something else. The boat ride was pleasant, scenic, and informative. The grotto is pretty, but I think the benefit is the boat ride, music, and hula demonstrations. I would definitely do this again.

Our tour had no enthusiasm and excitement in his voice. The crew seemed like this was a task. The Hawaiian dancers were good, the singer was good.
Had been on the Fern Grotto tour a few years ago and was much better.
