This was a simple, easy, comfortable and beautiful way to check off another island for your bucket list. Crew was friendly, ferry was clean, and it was just a fun way to see the whales---I suggest doing this than paying for a whale watching experience because we saw more whales here on our way to Lanai. After years of annual vacations on Maui we finally planned a day-trip to Lanai. Out of respect for the native culture and not wanting to violate any sacred areas we decided to hire a local guide to show/drive us around. That was a great decision and great fun. We went all over the island hearing stories of the olden days and current events. If you are at all curious about how Maui (and other Hawaiian islands) looked and felt decades ago, than a trip to Lanai should be on your next itinerary. Like many other Maui adventures, you have get an early start as the first 45 minute Ferry run to the island leaves Lahaina at 6:30am. Enjoying sunrise on a boat in paradise can't be beat. We were greeted at the harbor by our tour guide, who has lived on the island for 20 years. He knew every inch, nook and cranny of the island. He told us about his growing up on the island, and stories old and new of life there.

After lunch in Lanai City we had time to shop in the few local shops and boutiques. Life is a much slower pace there, with way fewer cars and less people. We continued on our tour with a few more afternoon stops, ending at a beautiful beach a short walk to the harbor. We caught the last ferry back to Maui and enjoyed an evening ocean cruise back to Lahaina.

I would highly recommend a day trip and guided tour of Lanai. It's great fun and you never know who you might bump into on this unpretentious paradise island!

We're glad we took the full day tour otherwise you only get to see a glimpse of the island. We got to the terry just in time (arrive early even at 6:30 you’ll be searching for parking). We rode it to Lanai stayed in lanai 30 minutes then got back on ferry and returned to Maui. So for cost of ferry we got to go to more than one island on our trip to Hawai’i.
Boat was clean and comfortable everyone who worked for ferry was courteous and nice. Great trip. We saw a couple of whales and a pod of dolphins.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip from beginning to end. The food was plenty and very well done. The lunch especially made you feel like you were royalty. The crew served everything. There was plenty to go around. They were all like a well oiled machine working in harmony to get everyone taken care of. The snorkeling was really nice because it wasn't crowded. We had the whole cove to ourselves. The hike was just right. The ride back was a wild one thanks to the wind. They had even supplied supplies at lunch like ginger and dramamine for sea sickness. I give them 5 stars. Best tour I have ever been on. Thanks to you all.

Awesome tour with Bruce! He provided many interesting facts and information about the island. We saw areas of the island that we would have missed if we were on our own. He offered us the opportunity to spend extra time at the cat sanctuary with over 600 cats when we told him we liked cats, such an awesome place. I mentioned we hadn’t seen many turtles (honu) and he took us to a beach that had about 6 right along the shore. Though not guaranteed, we were able to see Maui, Molokai, Oahu, Big Island of Hawaii, Molokini and Kahoolawe from Lanai (per Bruce he’s only seen Oahu a few times from Lanai).
Definitely would recommend this tour!

We had a great experience with Trilogy to Lanai. The captain and crew were welcoming and accommodating from the first moment to the very end. We were cared for and serviced for all beverages (coffee, juice, water, cocktails, you name it!) from morning until the last moment as well as with all of our meals, plus some surprise snacks. For being a group excursion, we were pleasantly surprised with how fun and completely relaxing this day was! We only wish it could have been longer… but next time, we’ll sign up for that. I can not express how perfect our day was going to Lanai with Trilogy.
I have always wanted to go to Lanai so my friends booked this Birthday excursion. Captain Casey and his crew exceeded our expectations!
From the moment we check in and got on board the beautiful catamaran we were treated like VIPs. The hot cinnamon rolls, breakfast sandwiches, and fruit and were delicious.

As we came into the pristine Lanai Harbor the crew again were amazing in escorting us to the bay to snorkel. They made sure we has sunscreen and were constantly insuring our safety in and out of the water. We also purchased the photo package and I will always cherish the amazing above and below water professional photos.

We headed to the Harbor Pavilion for a hot lunch cooked and served by the crew. It was so good we had ate until we could not chew anymore.

Sailing back in to Lahaina was almost as fun as snorkeling. The crew were professional yet so fun! Hoisting the sail we glided across the ocean with cold drinks in our hand.

I can not express what a delight it was to be with the Crew of the Trilogy! I will never forget my Best Birthday Ever!

The ferry ride to Lana’i was amazing! It was a smooth sailing with a professional crew. Ship was clean, comfortable, and safe. We sat on the upper deck and received several salt water showers which was fun! A bonus was seeing the whales spouting, blowing and playing in the channel! This was a special trip!

The ferry made our overnight trip to Lanai so easy. The boat itself seemed to be well-maintained and clean. It was not overly crowded and was very punctual. I think the price is reasonable considering the service provided.
A side note: We saw more whales on our trips to and from Lanai than we have on any whale watch we have ever taken!
