  • Heian Shrine (40 min)
    A shrine maiden in front of Heian Jingu Shrine One of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan. The architecture is modeled after the Kyoto Imperial Palace and is home to one of the largest Torii (Japanese-style main gates) in all of Japan.
  • Sanjusangen-do (30 min)
    A serene Kyoto temple This Buddhist temple received the popular name of Sanjusangen-do (Hall of 33 spaces) from the architecture of the 120 meter long hall. The hall holds 1,000 statues of the Thousand Armed Kannon, one of the most important Buddhist deities in all of Japan.
  • Kiyomizu Temple (60 min)
    Kiyomizudera Temple and the city overlook Offering sweeping views of Kyoto, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a Buddhist temple famous for its architecture (not a single nail was used in the construction of the temple) and its waters known for their healing powers.
  • Kyoto Station
    Return to Tokyo by shinkansen.

    • This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.
    • If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 20 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be cancelled.
    • The arrival time to Kyoto after the tour on Day 1 may be between 22:00 and 23:00 or later depending on traffic conditions.
    • The trip from Odawara to Kyoto on Day 1 may require a train transfer midway at Shizuoka or Nagoya station. If so, a staff member will assist participants in transferring. If the tour runs late due to traffic congestion, etc, and misses the scheduled train, transportation from Odawara to Kyoto will be on non-reserved seats on the Shinkansen, and participants may not be able to sit down.
    • If you would like a vegetarian menu, please inform us at the time of reservation.
    • About Day 1 Itinerary (Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour)
      GPS-equipped audio guides are available in Chinese and Spanish. Please make a request when booking if you would like an audio guide. There are a limited number of audio guides available, so it may not be possible to provide one for each participant.
    • Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to heavy traffic. The tour will not be cancelled or refunded for such an itinerary alteration.
    • If Fuji Visitor Center is closed or the tour is behind schedule due to traffic, Fuji Visitor Center may be omitted from the itinerary.
    • If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji's 5th Station is closed due to icy roads, the tour will be taken as high as possible.
    • Mt. Fuji's 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing.
    • The tour will not be cancelled or refunded even if Mt. Fuji is not fully visible due to weather conditions.
    • Lake Ashi Cruise or Hakone Komaga-take Ropeway may be omitted, due to traffic, weather conditions, or other operational concerns. If either or both are omitted the following alternatives may be used: Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani valley, Hakone Sightseeing Cruise (pirate ship), Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Sekisho (checking station) remains, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, or Itchiku Kubota Art Museum.
    • The tour will not be cancelled or refunded for such itinerary alteration. The English interpreter guide will make decisions regarding itinerary alterations.
    • About Day 2 Itinerary (1-Day Kyoto Tour)
      On Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed. On these days, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The same is true of the period before and after the public viewing of Kyoto Imperial Palace in spring and autumn, May 14 - 17 due to the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event.
    • Please note that before entering the Kyoto Imperial Palace you will be required to fill out a form with your personal information such as your full name, sex, age, and nationality. (The form will be provided on the tour day.)
    • On Jan. 25, Apr. 25, Jul. 25 and Oct. 25, Nishi Hongan-ji Temple will serve as the alternative for Kitano Tenmangu Shrine.
    • On Tuesdays (Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday) in January, July, August, and December, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoan-ji Temple instead.
    • During the Jidai Festival on October 22, Heian Jingu Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced in the itinerary by Chishaku-in Temple. If the Jidai Festival is postponed, we will follow suit with the itinerary change.
    • This tour will not enter Heian Jingu Shrine's Shin-en garden.
    • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions.
      Tour:
      An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating.
      An individual meal or snack will not be provided as well.
    • Accommodations:
      An extra bed or futon mat will not be provided.
      In the case meals are included in the accommodation, a separate meal will not be prepared.

      If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
