  • Todaiji Temple and Nara Park (60 minutes)

    • You are required to check in at the JTB Sunrise Tours counter located at the Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal regardless of the hotel pick-up. Please go on board the bus assigned at the counter on your own.
    • Tour participants are required to fill out a form including name, sex, age, and nationality when entering the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

    • Vegetarian menus are available with advanced notice.
    • The tour schedule is subject to change.
    • On Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed. On these days, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The same is true of the period before and after the public viewing of Kyoto Imperial Palace in spring and autumn, May 14 - 17 due to the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event.
    • On Tuesdays (Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday) in January, July, August, and December, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.
    • During the Jidai Festival on October 22, Heian Jingu Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced in the itinerary by Chishakuin Temple. If the Jidai Festival is postponed, we will follow suit with the itinerary change.
    • Drop-off service is not available for participants who disembark at stations other than Tokyo on the return trip (Shinagawa/Shin-Yokohama stations). Please inform us when booking if you would like to disembark at a station other than Tokyo Station. Also, note that changes to the shinkansen trip length cannot be made after departure. The hotel drop-off service is for hotels located within the Tokyo 23 wards area. At the time of booking, please inform us of the name of your hotel.
    • At Kasuga Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.
    • The tour may not visit Nara Nagomikan if it is closed or due to traffic conditions.
    • During the Gion Festival (July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto, and Hotel Monterey Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions.
    • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions.
      Tour:
      An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating.
      An individual meal or snack will not be provided as well.
      If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
