After picking up the rental items at Yakushima Airport, I planned to have lunch before heading to the designated location, but the flight was delayed. After borrowing shoes and other items, there was no time to eat, and I couldn't find a convenience store, so I thought I would have to trek on an empty stomach. However, they kindly informed me of a pharmacy within walking distance and came to pick me up there.

While eating the bread I bought at the pharmacy in the car, we headed to the entrance of Shiratani Unsuikyo. From there, I walked a lot in the great outdoors for the first time in a while. I learned about the cedar trees and various other things, and thanks to the guide's explanations, I had a very enjoyable half-day.

There were some paths with significant elevation changes, and there were members in our group who were not used to mountain trails, but the guide provided some explanations to help us progress slowly and comfortably, making the walk pleasant and enjoyable.

On the way back, they dropped me off at my accommodation, and my checked suitcase and shoes were delivered there. They also came to pick up the rental items afterward, which was incredibly helpful. I am grateful for the wonderful time and the warm personalities of everyone involved. Thank you very much.

屋久島空港でレンタル品を受け取った後、お昼を食べてから指定の場所へ行く予定でしたが、飛行機が遅れ、靴などを借りた後に食べに行く時間がないし、コンビニも見当たらないし、空腹でトレッキングか、と思いましたが、徒歩圏内の薬局を教えてくださり、そこまで迎えに来てくださいました。
薬局で買ったパンなどを車中で食べながら、白谷雲水峡の入り口へ。
そこからは、久しぶりに大自然の中をたくさん歩きました。
杉の木や色々ご案内いただき、ガイドさんの解説のおかげでとても楽しい半日を過ごしました。
一部、段差の大きい道があり、グループの中に山道は不慣れな方がいらっしゃいましたが、ゆっくり一歩一歩進める様にちょっと解説入れてくださったりして、和やかに楽しく歩きました。
帰りは宿泊先まで送ってくださり、預けたスーツケースや靴などは宿泊先に届けてあり、その後に借りたレンタル品は宿まで引き取りに来てくださって、至れり尽くせりで本当に助かりました。
素敵な時間と温かい人柄の皆さんに感謝しています。

We used this service for a trip with our family of three. We were blessed with clear skies and vibrant autumn leaves, allowing us to explore the stunning Shirakawa-go and Takayama. The scenery along the way was filled with beautiful fall colors.

There were eight groups of foreign tourists and three groups of Japanese tourists, and our guide, Mr. Kuroda, alternated between speaking Japanese and English. Based on the map provided, we were given recommendations for great photo spots, souvenirs, and hidden gems for our free exploration. We had two hours in Shirakawa-go and one hour and 45 minutes in Takayama, which was ample time for the tour. However, we were so engrossed in taking photos in Shirakawa-go and enjoying street food in Takayama that we felt we could have used more time.

The traditional gassho-zukuri houses and the old townscape were certainly impressive, but the overall atmosphere, especially with the season, was the highlight for me, making it a wonderful experience.

この日は雲ひとつない晴天と彩り豊かな紅葉に恵まれて、絶景の白川郷、飛騨高山を散策することがでした。道中も山々の全面に紅葉が見られ、ひたすらに美しかったです。

配布していただいた地図を基におすすめの写真スポットやお土産、穴場を教えていただいての自由散策。時間は白川郷は2時間、飛騨高山は1時間45分の散策で、ツアーとしては十分に確保してくださっているものの、白川郷では写真撮影、飛騨高山では食べ歩きに夢中で時間が足りないぐらい楽しむことができました。
合掌造りや古い町並みはもちろんながら、季節を含めた空気感が私にとっての感動ポイントで、素晴らしい体験になりました。

I participated on the night of my arrival in Miyako Island!

- Iriomote Island: I enjoyed a mangrove cruise while listening to our guide's stories, which felt like a real jungle adventure. We stopped to learn about the names of the mangroves and the purple heron, allowing us to fully appreciate Iriomote Island.
- Yubu Island: We crossed to Yubu Island on a water buffalo through shallow waters, which was a rare experience to interact closely with the buffalo during our free exploration of the island! The lunch included in the plan allowed us to taste local Okinawan ingredients, and later, I personally enjoyed gelato (island banana and milk) at a café that was quite delicious.
- Taketomi Island: We took a bus to Kaiji Beach, famous for its star sand, where we searched for star sand and enjoyed the scenery, fully experiencing Taketomi Island. After that, although it was from the car window, we could view Kondoi Beach and take a round trip while riding a water buffalo through the town, making for a very fulfilling plan.

Due to the weather, we ended up snorkeling at Sakura Beach instead of the Blue Cave, but it was also very beautiful and enjoyable.

Safety was taken into consideration, and my mother in her 50s had a great time as well. The staff were very kind and it was the best experience.

This was the worst sightseeing bus tour I've ever been on, and I won't participate in such a tour again. At the very least, it should have an audio guide format like the ones in Hokkaido, available in Japanese, English, and Chinese; otherwise, essential Japanese tourists won't join. Since the explanations of the sightseeing content are not in Japanese, it sounds boring and just like noise.

Visited on October 30, 2023. Due to the unusually hot temperatures lasting for a long time, the autumn leaves were about 80% changed. The weather was clear, so it was a great opportunity for sightseeing. Most of the passengers were foreigners, but the atmosphere on the bus was quiet. The guide's explanations were mostly in Chinese, but it was nice that they also provided information in Japanese. When most of the passengers are foreigners, it's beneficial to have some prior knowledge about the sightseeing spots. Understanding what the locations are like before arriving can enhance the enjoyment, even if the guide's Japanese explanations are limited. The guide was very proactive in taking photos, which was appreciated for solo participants.

At the Toyako Onsen area, we had free time for lunch, but there were fewer restaurants. The restaurant I had researched had a four-person wait. Since lunch time was limited, I couldn't eat there and had to go somewhere else, which was a bit disappointing. I regretted not buying food at a convenience store before boarding or at the Seicomart near Lake Toya. We got caught in traffic just before arriving at Shikotsu Lake and arrived 40 minutes late. It was too dark to enjoy the sights of Lake Toya. The tour was planned to arrive just before sunset in Hokkaido, but that didn't happen, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a packed itinerary, and I thought it might have been better if the time at the two souvenir stops was reduced. Thank you to the guide and driver for their long hours of service!

2023年10月30日利用。異常に暑い気温が長く続いたため紅葉は８分位。晴天だったので良い観光ができました。殆ど外国人の乗客でしたが、車内は静かでした。ガイドさんの説明時間は殆ど中国語でしたが日本語でも対応いただき良かったです。乗客が殆ど外国人の場合、事前に観光地の情報、知識等を自分で把握しておいて、ガイドさんの少な目な日本語の説明がなくても現地に到着してどういう所なのか、理解していると楽しみも増します。ガイドさんが写真を積極的に撮ってくださるので一人参加者の場合、ありがたかったです。洞爺湖温泉街で各自に自由な昼食になっていますが、レストランが少なめ。事前に調べていたレストランは4人待ち。昼食時間が限られているため、このレストランでは食べられず、別の所で食べましたがちょっと不満足感。集合前にコンビニで食物を買って乗車あるいは、洞爺湖近くにセイコーマートがあるのでそこで買えばよかったと悔やまれました。支笏湖到着間際に渋滞に巻き込まれ、40分遅れて到着。真っ暗で洞爺湖観光どころではありませんでした。ツアー予約前にぎりぎり北海道の日没時間前に間に合うかと思うプランでしたが、叶わず、ちょっと残念。総合的に盛りだくさんで、お土産2か所の時間を減らすと、いいかも？と思いました。ガイドさん、ドライバーさん長時間にわたってありがとうございました！

As a group of five middle-aged to senior individuals with no mountaineering experience, we were filled with anxiety at the start, worried about whether we could all achieve this together. However, we were encouraged by specific prompts like, "We'll take a break in about X minutes" and "We'll reach Wilson's Stock in about X minutes." We were able to distract ourselves with workplace stories and discussions about plants and animals, and we were reminded to stay focused by the tough words about the possibility of retiring and the pace of our return. Somehow… we truly managed to achieve this together, and I am incredibly grateful for that.

Although it rained, thanks to the rental trekking shoes and rain gear, I didn't get wet inside, so I was able to spend the day without discomfort or feeling troubled by the rain. I had prepared a complete change of clothes, including underwear, expecting to be soaked, but it turned out to be unnecessary.

On the way back, the rain stopped, and we were delighted to see cute deer and monkeys along the bus route, which made us excitedly speak in our dialect (laughs).

It was a fleeting trip to Yakushima, but I believe the emotions we felt when we saw Jomon Sugi and the tough journey we took will continue to be topics of conversation, highlighting that our achievement as a group of five was thanks to Mr. Konaka's guidance.

登山経験のないミドル〜シニア世代5人組なので、出発の時には不安しかなく無事にみんなで達成できるか心配でしたが､『あと◯分で休憩しましょう』『あと◯分でウィルソン株に着きますよ』などの具体的な声掛けに励まされたり､職場の話や動植物の話などで気を紛らせていただいたり､リタイヤの可能性や帰りの歩くスピードでの厳しい言葉に気を引き締められたりで､なんとか…本当になんとかみんなで達成出来たことに､とてもとても感謝しています。

雨ではありましたが､レンタルのトレッキングシューズとレインウェアのおかげで中まで濡れなかったので不快感も雨に悩まされた感もなく過ごせました。全身ずぶ濡れを想定していて帰りのバスに乗る前に着替えようと下着から一式用意してましたが必要ありませんでした。

帰りには雨も上がり､バスの道中で鹿や猿が可愛い姿を見せてくれたので､つい方言丸出しで盛り上がってしまいました(笑)

あっという間の屋久島旅行でしたが､縄文杉を見た時の感動と辛かった道のりと共に､小仲さんのガイドあってこその5人全員での達成だったと話題にあがり続けることと思います(^^)

これからも身体に気を付けて､皆さんを『達成』へと導くお仕事を頑張ってください！

Since I was traveling alone without a car, I participated in this tour that seemed great for exploring Ishigaki Island. It turned out to be very good. The view of Kabira Bay on a sunny day was beautiful, and I was able to see sea turtles from the glass-bottom boat. It was a small group of six people. Since we were moving as a group, I had to be a bit mindful of time-consuming adjustments to clothing. The path seemed straightforward enough that we wouldn't get lost, but it was nice to hear about points of interest that we might have overlooked without a guide. I was also happy that our guide took many photos for us.

In the end, we had to descend quickly due to the bus schedule (only on the trolley path), which was a bit tiring, but I think it was good to have someone lead us since missing the bus would have been more difficult.

Since it was nearly a 10-hour trek, I realized that building up physical strength is essential for the Jomon Sugi trekking.

6人の少人数のグループでした。グループでの行動なので、時間のかかる服の調整などは少し気を使いました。
道に迷うことはなさそうな道ではありましたが、ガイドさんなしだったらスルーしてしまいそうな見所も聞きながら行けたのはよかったです。写真もたくさん撮ってくれるガイドさんだったので嬉しかったです。
最後はバスの時間がありかなり速足での下山(トロッコ道のみ)となり少し疲れましたが、バスに乗れない方が大変なのでリードしてもらったのはよかったかなと思います。
10時間近くのトレッキングになるので、縄文杉トレッキングには体力作り必須だとよくわかりました。
