It was a really fun mangrove and cave tour!!

On the day of the tour, the weather was bad, and even the ferry to Uehara Port was canceled, so I was worried about what would happen. However, once I got on the SUP and entered the mangroves, I felt like I had arrived in a different world on Iriomote Island, with no rain or wind! While paddling, I heard stories about various plants and wildlife! What impressed me the most was the suicide fruit!! (laughs) It looks red, round, and delicious, but eating it can lead to death! I was shocked to learn that such a fruit exists!! The waterfall was also incredibly mystical! I want to join the night mangrove tour next time!!

The cave exploration was just as the name suggests, and it felt like a real adventure, which was a lot of fun! Experiencing the darkness when we turned off the lights deep inside the cave was also memorable, as it was something I had never experienced before!!

Diego was amazing! I hope to join another tour with you soon!

とっても楽しいマングローブと鍾乳洞ツアーでした！！

当日は天気が悪く上原港に向かうフェリーすらも欠航になってしまいどうなるかと思いましたが、
いざサップに乗ってマングローブの中に入ると雨も風もなく西表島の違う世界に来た気分になりました！！
サップで進みながら色んな植物生物自然のお話を聞きました！
私が印象的だったのは自殺の実！！(笑)見た目は赤くて丸くて美味しそうなのに食べたら死に至るという実！そんな実があるのかとビックリ！！
あとは滝がすごい神秘的でした！
今度は夜のマングローブツアーに参加したいと思いました！！

洞窟探検は名前の通り探検してる感じが凄く楽しかったです！
洞窟の奥で電気を消したときに今まで経験したことの無い暗さを体験出来たのも印象的です！！

I participated in a one-day plan that included mangrove SUP, Barasu Island, and cave exploration. Our guide, Tomo, shared a lot of information about Iriomote Island, making the car ride enjoyable! The mangroves were breathtaking, and I was moved by the grandeur of nature. I learned that there are only two coral islands like Barasu Island in the world. Looking around, all I could see was the ocean, making it a precious experience! The cave exploration didn't follow a paved path; instead, we progressed through natural areas! We walked through water and crouched down, feeling excited and as if we were kids again.

I hurriedly booked this tour after arriving in Ishigaki Island, but I'm glad I chose this one! They took many photos, so I feel happy looking back at them after returning home. Thank you for a fun day! I definitely plan to come back to Iriomote Island again :)

マングローブSUP +バラス島 +鍾乳洞探検の1日プランに参加しました。ガイドのともさんが西表島のことをたくさん教えてくださるので、移動の車内も楽しかったです！初めてのマングローブは圧巻、、自然の壮大さに感動しました。バラス島のような珊瑚の島は世界で２つしかないそうです。周りを見渡しても海しかなく、貴重な体験ができました！鍾乳洞は整備された道を歩くのではなく、自然な状態の場所を進んでいきます！水の中を歩いたり、屈んで進んで行ったり、ワクワクドキドキして子供の頃に戻った気分でした。
石垣島に着いてから慌てて申し込んだツアーでしたが、こちらにお願いしてよかったです！！写真もたくさん撮ってくれたので、帰宅してから写真を見返している時間も幸せです。楽しい1日をありがとうございました！！また絶対に西表島に来ようと思います:)

I had my first SUP experience and snorkeling trip in Okinawa with a friend! We went snorkeling in the morning and did SUP in the afternoon. The water was incredibly clear during snorkeling, and I was able to see not only fish but also sea turtles! It was so cute to see the sea turtles while they were eating (*ˊᵕˋ*)♡ Additionally, the instructor took beautiful underwater photos, which were really stunning✨ I also got to meet clownfish, and it was so much fun!

In the afternoon's SUP session, I was a bit anxious since it was my first time, but the instructor was very thorough in teaching us, so I was able to get on the board relatively quickly! They also provided advice in difficult spots and connected the boards to prevent us from drifting apart, so I felt well taken care of ( ⸝⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝⸝ ). I was really moved to see the fish in the sea even from the board. I truly had a wonderful experience on my first trip to Miyako Island! I highly recommend it✨✨

友人と沖縄旅行で初のsup体験とシュノーケリングをしました！
午前中にシュノーケリングをして、午後からsupの流れでした
シュノーケリングでは、本当に海が澄んでいて魚はもちろんウミガメまでしっかり見ることができました！ ウミガメが食事をしているところは本当に可愛かったです(*ˊᵕˋ*)♡ また、インストラクターの方が水中で写真を撮ってくれるのですが、その写真も本当に綺麗で素敵でした✨
クマノミにも会えてすっごく楽しかったです！
午後のsupでは、初めてのこともありちょっと不安だったのですがインストラクターの方が本当に丁寧に教えてくれたので開始から割とすぐに乗ることができました！
また、難しいところではアドバイスをくれたり、ボードを繋げて流されないようにしてくれたりしてくれるので置いていかれることはなくしっかりと見てくれます( ⸝⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝⸝ )
ボードからでも下の海の魚がみれて凄く感動しました
初の宮古島で本当にステキな体験ができたなと思いました！本当にオススメです✨✨

Positive points:
- It was fun to learn many interesting facts about Ishigaki Island during the shuttle ride to the location.
- They called to suggest changing the date because the originally booked day had a forecast of bad weather. Thanks to that, we were able to do the tour on a day with good weather.
- It was reassuring not to have to drive on the dark roads ourselves.

Negative points:
- I had communicated my shoe size in advance for the boots, but my friend's were 0.5 centimeters too big and mine were 1 centimeter too big. I didn't realize this until we arrived and changed shoes, so I couldn't exchange them. It was a bit scary to go on the jungle tour in shoes that didn't fit properly in the dark.
- Although it was advertised as stargazing, there was hardly any time for that. The main focus was on searching for coconut crabs, and we had to walk quickly to avoid being left behind, so I don't think it's suitable for those who want to leisurely enjoy the starry sky.

良かった点
・現地までの送迎の車内で石垣島に関する豆知識を沢山説明してくれて楽しかった。
・元々予約していた日程が悪天候の予報とのことで日程変更の提案の電話をしてくれた。おかげで天気の良い日にツアーが出来た。
・自分達で夜道を運転しなくていいので安心だった。

悪かった点
・事前に足のサイズを伝えて長靴を用意してもらったが、友人のは0.5センチ私のは1センチも大きいのが用意されていた。現地に着いて履き替えるまで気付けなかったので交換も出来ず、サイズの合わない靴で暗闇でのジャングルツアーは少し怖かった。
・星空鑑賞とあるがほとんどその時間は無かった。ヤシガニ探しがメインで、置いていかれないように歩く必要があったので、星空をゆっくり眺めたい人には向かないと思う。

It was a private tour for two people.
Entering the pitch-black jungle by car might have been my first time in life. I was excited the whole time.
Our jungle expert, Arai, caught various wild insects and showed them to us. The explanations were very thorough. We also talked a lot about Okinawan culture.
It was cloudy that day, so we couldn't see the stars, but exploring the jungle was fascinating.
It was amazing. Next time, I want to go see the bioluminescent plankton in the summer!

2人貸切のツアーでした。
車を乗って真っ暗のジャングルに入ったのは人生初めてかもしれません。ずっとワクワクしていました。
ジャングルのプロ、新井さんがいろんな野生昆虫を捕まって、見せてくれました。とても丁寧な解説でした。沖縄の文化についてもいろいろ話をしました。
その日は曇りなので、星は見れませんでしたが、ジャングルでの探検は面白かったです。
最高でした。今度は夏に夜光虫を見に行きたいです！！

Since it was a weekday, there were about 10 participants on the large bus. It was a relaxed sightseeing experience. We visited four locations, and at each tourist spot, there was ample time for sightseeing. The tour included entrance fees and boat fares, making it much more reasonable and satisfying than renting a car.

平日と言う事もあって大型バスには10名程の参加者。ゆったりした中での見学。
4個所を巡り各観光地では十分な観光時間があり入場料、乗船料も含んでの観光バスなのでレンタカーを借りるより、とてもリーズナブルで満足なツアーでした。

The talk was interesting, and the knowledge shared was very rich and educational. Although it was just a half-day tour, I felt a desire to see other places. Thank you very much. Considering my return flight, the arrangement of a taxi was also a great touch. I will definitely visit Yakushima again!

We participated as a couple in our 50s who are beginners at trekking. Compared to my husband, I was filled with anxiety due to my lack of stamina. Fortunately, the weather was perfect for trekking on the day of the event. Thanks to our guide, Mr. Shiromizu's excellent escort, we were able to reach Jomon Sugi safely. He entertained us with various topics and took breaks just when I felt I might not be able to continue. He took many wonderful photos, and I am truly grateful since I had no energy left at all. On the way back, it started to rain, and my legs were nearing their limit, but we managed to reach the goal safely. It was all thanks to Mr. Shiromizu. Thank you very much. I look forward to your assistance when I visit Yakushima again.

トレッキング初心者の50代夫婦で参加しました。
夫に比べて体力が劣る私は、不安でいっぱいでした。
当日はお天気に恵まれてトレッキング日和。
ガイドの白水さんの絶妙なエスコートで、無事に縄文杉に辿り着くことができました。
色々な話題で楽しませてくれて、また、もうそろそろダメかもというところで休憩を入れてくれました。
素敵な写真をたくさん撮ってくれて、私は余裕が全くなかったので本当に感謝しています。
帰りは途中で雨が降り出し、私の足も限界に近いなか、無事にゴールできました。
白水さんのおかげです。

I had never gone mountain climbing since I was little, so I joined this tour feeling both anxious and excited. It was about a 12-hour hike to Jomon Sugi, Taiko Rock, and Shiratani Unsuikyo, but I was able to truly experience the great nature of Yakushima, making it the best experience! During the hike, Tsugimura-san taught us various things, and we were able to walk happily while playing games and quizzes. There were breaks along the way, and they adjusted the pace to match the participants, so even as a beginner, I could hike without any difficulty! Additionally, they took many photos and videos for us. The pictures and videos were ones we couldn't have taken ourselves, and even now that the trip is over, I'm still reminiscing about it. It seems that different scenery can be seen depending on the season, so I definitely want to participate again. Thank you very much!

小さい頃以来一度も登山をしたことがなかったので、不安な気持ちとワクワク感を感じながら今回のツアーに参加させて頂きました。
縄文杉、太鼓岩、白谷雲水峡と約12時間の登山でしたが屋久島の大自然を肌で感じることができ、最高の体験となりました！
登山中は津曲さんが色々なことを教えてくださり、ゲームやクイズをしながら楽しく歩くことができました。
途中で休憩もあり、参加者のペースに合わせて進んでくれるので初心者の私でも無理なく登山することができました！

I was unsure whether to hire a guide, but I'm really glad I booked this tour with Tsugimura. I gained a lot of knowledge about Yakushima and experienced attractions that I wouldn't have noticed if I had climbed on my own. During the monotonous paths, we played games and quizzes, and thanks to Tsugimura, we were able to enjoy trekking the whole time. He took many photos and videos, and I'm looking forward to looking back at them after the trip. When I go to Yakushima again, I would like to ask Tsugimura to be my guide. I will also recommend him to my friends! Thank you very much.

ガイドを付けるか迷いましたが、津曲さんのこのツアーを予約して本当に良かったです。屋久島の様々な知識も増え、自分達だけで登っていたら気付いていなかった魅力も味わえました。

On this day, there were a lot of clouds, so we adjusted the timing for the shoot! Thanks to the fact that we stuck around quite late, the moon finally appeared through a gap in the clouds at the very end, and we were able to capture some great shots with the clouds included! It was the best honeymoon ever! Thank you!

It was my first time trying stand-up paddleboarding, and the guide taught me very patiently, so I was able to get on the board right away! Paddling through the great outdoors felt amazing, and I believe it's an experience you can only have here. The guide's explanations were also very interesting, and during the trekking, I learned a lot of fun trivia, which made it really enjoyable. We got to take many photos, and we received beautiful pictures that were much better than what we could have taken ourselves. If you're considering a tour in Iriomote Island, I think this is definitely the place to go!

人生で初めてのサップでしたが、ガイドの方にとても丁寧に教えて頂き、すぐに乗れるようになりました！大自然の中をサップで進むのはとても気持ちが良く、ここでしか出来ない体験だと思います。ガイドの方の説明もとても面白く、トレッキングの最中色んな豆知識を教えていただき、とっても楽しかったです。写真もたくさん撮ってもらえて、自分たちで撮るよりも素敵な写真をたくさんもらえました。西表島でツアーを考えているならここで間違いないと思います！

The weather was favorable, and I was able to fully enjoy both Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo without any issues. The view from Taiko Rock, in particular, is exceptional. Since it was an advanced course, my body is definitely sore, but the sense of accomplishment after finishing the climb is truly rewarding. The guide's pacing and explanations were very smooth, making the trekking experience enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you so much for organizing the ambitious course! It has become a wonderful travel memory.

天気にも恵まれ縄文杉と白谷雲水峡をどちらも無事に満喫することができました。特に太鼓岩からの景色は格別です。上級者コースの為案の定身体はバキバキですが、登り終えた時の達成感は一入です。ガイドの方の進行や説明もとてもスムーズで終始楽しくトレッキングができました。欲張りコースを催行してくださり本当にありがとうございました！！とても楽しい旅の思い出となりました。

It was a one-day course, but far from just an introduction to Yakushima; it was a tour with thorough explanations that offered great value for the price. I was truly amazed at the high level of the tour for such a cost. On the day of the tour, we were blessed with good weather, and I was able to have a very satisfying experience.

一日コースでしたが、屋久島入門どころか丁寧な説明で、金額以上のお値打ちツアーでした。本当にこの金額でいいのか？と思うくらいのレベルの高いツアーでした。当日は天気にも恵まれ、大変満足な時間を過ごすことができました。

Since I don't usually go hiking, I was worried that my slow pace during the tour would inconvenience others, and due to COVID-19 prevention measures, I was looking for a private tour. I decided to book this tour because it included rental equipment and was a bit more economical than booking separately.

It rained almost the entire time during the tour, and perhaps to ensure we had enough time at Jomon Sugi, we walked a bit briskly. By noon, we safely arrived and were able to enjoy looking at Jomon Sugi to our heart's content. The guide was also very kind, which was great.

Due to my oversight, I forgot my shoes at the hotel (I borrowed slippers at the hotel entrance; it seems this was mentioned in a prior email), and I left some belongings behind, which caused quite a bit of trouble. However, I was very grateful for the polite assistance I received.

This time, due to my physical condition and schedule, I only visited Jomon Sugi, but I would like to go to Shiratani Unsuikyo next time.

普段登山をしないので、ツアー中にペースが遅く他の方にご迷惑をかけてしまうことが不安だったのと、コロナ感染防止の為、貸切ツアーを探していました。
このツアーはレンタル装備付きで、別々に予約するよりも少しお得だった為、申し込みました。

ツアー中はほぼ雨だったのと、縄文杉のでの時間を確保するためか、少し早歩きでした。お昼ごろには無事に辿り着き、気の済むまで縄文杉を眺めることができました。
ガイドさんも優しい方で良かったです。

こちらの確認不足で、自分の靴をホテルに忘れてきてしまったり(ホテル玄関でスリッパを借りました。事前のメールに載っていたらしいです)、
忘れ物をしてしまったりととてもご迷惑をおかけしたのですが、
丁寧に対応していただけたのでとてもありがたかったです。

今回は体力と日程的に縄文杉だけでしたが、次回は白谷雲水峡にも行きたいです。

We happened to ride two carts at the same time as another group, but our group was in the second cart (the one in the back) both going and returning. This meant we couldn't see the water buffalo pulling the cart from the front, and we could only take pictures of the back of the water buffalo pulling our cart. It would have been great if we could have switched the order of the water buffalo carts for both trips; it's a shame.

たまたま別グループと同じタイミングで2台続けて乗る格好になったが、こちらのグループは行も帰りも2台目(後方)の車だったので、水牛が車を引いているところを前方から見られず、自車を引く水牛の後頭部しか写真を撮ることができなかった。行き帰りで、水牛車の順番を変えてもらえれば良かったのに、残念です。

Today, I experienced mangrove SUP and landed on Barasu Island to explore a limestone cave. It was all my first time, but the guide was incredibly thorough in teaching us, allowing us to fully enjoy the nature of Iriomote Island! I was particularly anxious about how well I could do SUP, but the guide carefully showed us how to use the paddle and maintain balance, and I was able to glide smoothly in no time! The photos we received were also truly beautiful, and just looking at them makes me feel happy. Thanks to the guide's encouragement, I was able to bond with others who participated in the tour, making it a very satisfying day! Thank you very much!!!

本日はマングローブSUPとバラス島上陸・鍾乳洞体験を行いました。
全て初めての体験でしたがガイドの方が本当に丁寧に教えてくださり西表島の自然を堪能できました！！特にSUPは上手くできるか不安でしたが、パドルの使い方やバランスのとり方まで細かく見てくださり、すぐにスイスイ進めました！

We participated in a tour that included mangrove SUP (canoeing), a limestone cave exploration, and a landing on Barasu Island, as a couple in our 30s. Tomo was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us about the flora and fauna as well as the history, making it an educational experience while we explored! The mangrove SUP led us to a waterfall, where we had a refreshing time. I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for the beautiful nature!

We landed on Barasu Island by boat, and the sense of being in a place that felt completely inaccessible was thrilling! The final limestone cave exploration took us to a hidden gem reminiscent of Indiana Jones! The journey was enjoyable, but the elegance of the cave made me exclaim in awe. There are some very low areas, so it’s not just a museum walk; you can enjoy the adventure of crawling through!

With breaks included, it lasted about 8 hours, but it felt like no time at all. Tomo and Ryusei accompanied us this time, and they constantly engaged with everyone, ensuring that even solo participants had a great time! For those concerned about physical stamina, participants naturally became allies and helped each other, so I think it’s not a problem at all.

There are many tours available on Iriomote Island, making it difficult to choose, but you can’t go wrong if you leave it to pipi! Definitely give it a try! And both of them were handsome (laughs). Ah, it was so much fun!! Thank you very much!

30代夫婦でマングローブSUP（カヌー）・鍾乳洞探検・バラス島上陸がセットになったツアーに参加しました。
ともさんがガイドについて下さいました。
知識が豊富で動植物のこと、歴史のことを教えて下さったので探検しながら勉強になりました！
マングローブSUPは漕ぎ進んだ先に滝があり、リフレッシュした時間が過ごせました。
美しい自然に感謝の気持ちが溢れました！
バラン島には船で上陸し、絶対行けない場所感が凄く、わくわくしました！
最後の鍾乳洞探検はインディージョーンズのような秘境に行く事が出来ます！
道中も楽しかったですが、鍾乳洞の奥ゆかしさには思わず凄いと口にしてしまっていました。
かなり低い所もあるのでただ博物館を歩いて見るだけのようなイメージではなく、くぐり抜ける冒険感が楽しめます！！
休憩も入れると8時間くらいですが、あっという間に感じました。
ともさんと今回はりゅうせいさんが帯同して下さっていましたが、常にみんなに声をかけてコミュニケーションを取って下さるので、1人で参加している方も楽しめていました！
体力的な心配がある方も参加者がいつの間にか仲間になり助け合うので、全然問題無いと思います♪
西表島のツアーは沢山あるので選ぶのが難しかったですが、pipiさんに任せれば間違いないです！！
是非行ってみて下さい！

I participated in the half-day tour and planned to return on a flight right after, but the guide was very attentive, which made me feel secure during the experience. The guide's explanations and the driver's speed (taking it slow for the sights from the bus) were both excellent. Thank you!

半日コースで、終了後すぐの飛行機で帰る予定で参加しましたが、ガイドさんがきちんと気を配ってくださり、安心して参加出来ました。
ガイドさんの案内も運転手さんのスピード（バス中からの見所はゆっくりと）も、とてもよかったです。

I booked a tour for a 2-night, 3-day trip. It was great that I could make a reservation until 6 PM on the day of, allowing me to decide based on the weather and my mood!

During the actual tour, we went to places that seemed inaccessible to regular tourists, walking through the jungle as if we were on an expedition, searching for coconut crabs and animals that can only be seen on the island. I thought that the probability of encountering animals might vary depending on the weather during that time, which adds to the fun of the tour.

Regarding the starry sky, there were a bit too many clouds, and since it was close to a full moon, the brightness of the moon made it somewhat difficult to see. For those who absolutely want to see the stars, I think it's best to aim for a new moon.

Since we are dealing with nature, I believe it's more enjoyable to participate with a relaxed mindset, thinking of seeing animals and the starry sky as a 'lucky' bonus!

The guide was friendly and easy to talk to, which made me feel at ease. Thank you very much!

2泊3日の旅行でツアー申し込みしました。
予約も当日18時まででokとのことだったので、その日の天候と気分で申し込めたのもよかったです！

実際のツアーでは旅行客だけでは入れなさそうな所まで行き、ジャングルの中？！を探検のような感じで歩き、ヤシガニを探したり、島でしか見られない動物などを探しました。
その時期の天候などで動物たちと出会える確率も違うんだろうなぁと思ったので、それもまたツアーの楽しさかなと思いました。

星空については、雲が少し多かったのと、満月に近い日だったので、月の明るさで若干見づらかったところがありました。
星空は絶対に見たい！！という方は新月を狙って行くのがいいと思います。笑

大自然相手なので、動物も、星空も『見えたらラッキー！』という気軽な気持ちで参加する方が楽しい旅になると思いました(^○^)

The factory night view was impressive, but what I enjoyed the most was the captain's stories! There were couples, families, and groups of various types on board, but influenced by Noriko Eguchi's "Solo Activities," I decided to go alone. The captain shared some memorable quotes, and whether they were true or false, intentional or coincidental, it seems that various influential figures from the factory have contributed to the creation of this factory night view from different angles. The perspective of calling it "the Mont Saint-Michel of Yokohama" was particularly interesting! I believe this night cruise is an event that can be enjoyed not only by tourists but also by locals who have lived here for a long time.

工場夜景もさながら、名物船長さんのお話しが何よりも楽しかったです！
カップル、家族、グループ、様々な形態の人たちが乗船していましたが、私は江口のり子さん主演の「ソロ活」に影響され、おひとり様で乗船してきました。
船長さんの名言、ウソかホントか、故意か偶然か、工場のえらい人に色んな角度から影響を与えこの工場夜景が成立しているそうです。
「横浜のモンサンミッシェル」など、なるほど～と思う見方がおもしろい☆
お上りさんのみならず、ずっと地元にいる人も楽しめる、そんなイベントの一つがこの夜景クルーズなのではないかなと思います。

I participated in this tour held in October. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, and we couldn't see the starry sky, but I still had a great time exploring the jungle! I was amazed by the unusual plants and creatures I saw for the first time, especially the size of the coconut crab. As we walked, the guide shared a lot of interesting facts, and I was entertained for the full two hours! It was very enjoyable! I want to go again. I made wonderful memories, thank you.

10月開催の、こちらのツアーに参加させてもらいました。残念ながら天気が悪く星空は見られませんでしたが、ジャングル探検だけでも十分楽しめました！
初めてみる珍しい植物、生き物達、特にヤシガニの大きさにはびっくりしました。。
歩きながらガイドさんが豆知識をたくさん話してくださり、2時間飽きずに楽しむことができました！とても面白かったです！また行きたいです。

During the trekking, we were able to explore Shirakawa Unsuikyo and Jomon Sugi in one day at our own pace.
The view from Taiko Rock was especially fantastic!!
Additionally, the guide shared lesser-known photo spots and taught us about Yakushima's history while trekking, so there was a lot to learn.

One of the highlights of this course is that you can visit the must-see spots of Yakushima in one day, allowing you to use other days for activities besides trekking or to relax at your hotel, fully enjoying Yakushima.
Of course, the trekking itself is also wonderful!
Therefore, I recommend this course for those with good stamina!

特にこのコースのオススメポイントは1日で屋久島の醍醐味のスポットを回れるので、他の日はトレッキング以外のアクティビティに使ったり、ホテルでくつろいだりと屋久島を堪能できるところだと思います。

I participated in a one-day tour for SUP and sea turtle snorkeling.

First, we experienced SUP at Imugya Marine Garden starting at 8:30. It was my first time trying SUP, but the instructions on how to stand and paddle were very thorough, so I was able to stand up quickly! Although the weather was bad with strong winds and some rain, the water was clear enough to see fish.

The snorkeling in the afternoon was scheduled for 14:30. I had half given up hope of seeing sea turtles since the guide mentioned we might not see any, but we encountered one just before the end of the session!

I think the weather conditions were poor that day, but I still had a great time and was very satisfied!

SUPとウミガメシュノーケリングの1日ツアーに参加しました。

まず最初に8:30からイムギャーマリンガーデンにてSUPを体験。今回がSUP初体験でしたが、立ち方や漕ぎ方を丁寧に説明してくださるのですぐに立てるようになりました！当日は強風で天気も悪く、雨が降るタイミングもありましたが海の透明度は十分で魚も見ることができました。

午後のシュノーケリングは時間が空いて14:30から。ウミガメは見れないかも…という話をガイドさんからされていたので半ば諦めていましたが、終了時間間際に出会うことができました！

天候的にはコンディションが悪い日だったとは思いますが、それでも十分に楽しめたので大満足です！

I was very disappointed with the guide G on the first day (Jomon Sugi). However, the guide Yokota on the second day (Shiratani Unsuikyo) was wonderful, making the unpleasant experience of the first day feel like a distant memory.

Regarding the guide for Jomon Sugi on the first day, we had informed them during the reservation that we (three people) were beginners, but we ended up in a group with three experienced hikers. Despite this, the guide did not show any concern for us from start to finish. I felt that the walking pace was fast from the beginning, and I struggled to keep up. Other groups received explanations, breaks, and warnings about dangerous areas at key points, but G only stopped when he wanted to take pictures (he mentioned he guides Jomon Sugi every other day) and started walking again before we could catch up, resulting in almost no breaks during the two-and-a-half-hour trek along the trolley path. Once we entered the mountain trail, the gap between us and the other participants widened even more, and we finally reached Jomon Sugi with great difficulty.

However, what was unbelievable was the return journey. Without any confirmation or prior notice, the guide decided on the bus departure time (three buses before the last one), and we walked at a pace even faster than before (almost a jog), causing the distance between us and the people in front to increase, sometimes to the point where we could no longer see the guide.

Reading this far, one might think it was just our stubbornness or lack of fitness, but in reality, even the experienced participants often stumbled or struggled to keep up. When we finally arrived at the bus boarding area, the arrival time was exactly when the bus was scheduled to depart. However, we were told there were only six empty seats, and one person could not board. I was left wondering what we had worked so hard for. To make matters worse, we were told that if we didn't want to wait for the next bus (an hour later), we could board this bus and then find our own way back, either by walking or calling a taxi. After such an unpleasant experience, we couldn't bear to wait another hour with the guide, and we had no choice but to take this bus back (of course, we had to cover the taxi fare ourselves).

As part of the tour, we were supposed to have a guide's transportation from the bus to our accommodation, but in the end, there was no transportation provided, and we concluded the tour without any apology for not being able to accommodate everyone on the bus or for the lack of transportation at the end of the day.

The first day turned out to be filled with fatigue and dissatisfaction, and I learned that the satisfaction of the tour can vary greatly depending on the guide.

1日目(縄文杉)のガイドのGさんへの評価が非常にがっかりでした。ただ2日目(白谷雲水峡)のガイドのヨコタさんは素晴らしいアテンドだったので1日目の嫌な思いをなかったことにできるくらい良い思い出になりました。

1日目の縄文杉のガイドさんについてですが、予約時に私たち(3人)は初心者とお伝えしていたものの同じグループになったのは経験者の方々(3人)。それでも、ガイドさんは最初から最後まで私たちを気遣うことはありませんでした。
最初から歩くペースが早いなとは感じており、なんとかついていく状況。他のグループは要所要所で説明や休憩、危ない場所の注意喚起などされていましたが、Gさんはご自身が写真を撮りたい時(2日に1回は縄文杉のガイドをしているそうです)のみ立ち止まり、私たちが追いつく前に歩き出してしまうのでほぼほぼ休憩がないまま2時間半のトロッコ道は終わりました。いよいよ山道に入ると、私たちと他の方々の間が益々空いていき、不安なままやっとの思いで縄文杉まで到着しました。
しかし信じられなかったのは復路です。
私たち含め参加者全員の希望があったわけでも無いのに何の確認や予告もなくバスの乗車時間をガイドさんが決めており(最終バスの3本前)、往路以上のペース(競歩以上、ほぼ小走り)で歩くため前の人とどんどん間隔が空いていき、ガイドの方が見えなくなるくらい距離ができてしまうときもありました。

ここまでの文章を読むとただの私たちの我が儘や運動不足が原因かと思えてしまいがちですが、実際、参加者の経験者の方々も足を踏み外したりついていけない状況もしばしば。やっとの思いでバスの乗車場所に着くとなんと到着時間はバス出発時刻ちょうど。しかし、空席は6席と言われ、1名のみ乗れない状況となりました。何のために必死で食らいついてきたのかわからなくなってしまいました。挙句の果てに次のバス(1時間後)を待つのが嫌なら、このバスに乗って、そこから先は自分達で歩くなりタクシーを呼ぶなり自力で帰るなら先に乗っても良いと言われる始末。こんな不愉快な思いをして、さらに1時間ガイドさんと一緒に待つなんて耐えられず、疲れ切った私たちはこのバスに乗って帰る以外の選択肢はありませんでした。(もちろんタクシー代は自己負担)
ツアーとして、バスから先は宿泊先までガイドの方の送迎が付くはずでしたが、結果送迎がないままツアー終了となり、特に最後まで送迎ができない、かつバスに全員乗れなかったことに対してのお詫びも一切なく1日目の縄文杉ツアーを終えました。

疲れや不満など色んな感情が溜まるばかりの1日目となってしまい、今回の体験でガイドさんによってかなりツアーの満足度が変わることを学びました。

The boat from Ishigaki Island to Iriomote Island is very rocky, so I think it's a good idea to take medication for motion sickness. When we arrived by boat, we were guided by car. The mangroves were an incredible sight that made me feel like I wasn't in Japan. It was an experience I want to have again.

石垣島から西表島の船はとても揺れるので飲み薬等で対策をしておいた方がいいと思います。
船で到着すると車で案内してくださいました。
マングローブは日本とは思えない光景で感動しました。
また行きたいと思う体験でした。

I was anxious about joining the tour since I was alone, but it turned out to be the right decision. I learned various things, such as where to take breaks, how to walk, and that climbing this mountain path allows you to shortcut to the trolley path.

I’m a woman in my 20s, and I was worried about feeling awkward with a group of girls my age, but the guide was very considerate and talked to me a lot. I also became friendly with the other participants after sharing so many ups and downs together.

The day before, I climbed Shiratani Unsuikyo, but this was on a whole different level of difficulty. However, since I had no prior hiking experience, I felt like I got used to using my legs from the mini hike the day before. I don’t usually exercise at all, but since we spent more time on the flat trolley path, it wasn’t too physically demanding. (Although I did have terrible muscle soreness for about two days afterward...)

It had been sunny the day before and the day before that, but unfortunately, it rained on the day of the hike. They say it rains about 35 days a month, so I rented an extra set of rain gear in addition to what I brought, and wearing both kept me completely dry and allowed me to climb without losing energy.

Honestly, I wasn’t that moved by Jomon Sugi, but I did feel a sense of accomplishment when I reached the goal. I had always wanted to experience Jomon Sugi trekking at least once in my life, and I’m glad I did! It was a valuable experience.

ひとりだったので不安でツアーに参加しましたが、正解でした。どこで休憩できるか、どんな歩き方をすればいいか、ここの山道を登るとトロッコ道をショートカットできます、などなど、色々教えていただきました。
私は20代女性、同世代の女子グループと私で、参加前は気まずい思いをしないか不安でしたが、ガイドさんも気を遣って私にたくさん話しかけてくださり、他の参加者さんともこれだけの苦楽を共にすると仲良くしていただきました。

前日に白谷雲水峡に登りましたが、段違いの大変さでした。しかし登山未経験だったので前日のプチ登山で足の使い方など慣れた気がします。普段全く運動しませんが、平坦なトロッコ道を進む時間のほうが長いので、体力的にはそこまでキツくなかったです。（終わってから二日ほどひどい筋肉痛でしたが…）

前日前々日まで晴れでしたが当日はあいにくの雨…ひと月に35日雨が降ると言われるだけですので、持参した雨具と別に雨具をもう1セットレンタルし二重に着ると、全く濡れず、体力を奪われずに登ることができました。
正直縄文杉にはそこまで感動しませんでしたが、ゴールにたどり着いた達成感はありました。人生で一度は経験したいと思っていた縄文杉トレッキング、経験して良かった！貴重な経験になりました。

At the Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal, six of us, including my spouse and I, participated in the "Stargazing & Night Safari" tour. Our guide, Arisa, explained everything clearly with a strong voice. Joining a tour was the right choice for a night drive in an unfamiliar place, as it can be dangerous! We smoothly drove along the dark roads, spotting the Ryukyu Scops Owl along the way. After arriving, we changed into the provided rubber boots and used a small, powerful flashlight to illuminate our path while searching for rare subtropical creatures—it felt like a little adventure. We occasionally discovered coconut crabs, insects, and lizards! It was a moment that brought us closer to nature. Nature doesn't always conform to our expectations, whether it's the weather or the wildlife, but that unpredictability adds an element of excitement, making it a fun tour. Thank you, Arisa! In the future, when I join a tour again, I will look for tours by Veltra. By the way, I always used Veltra for tours abroad. Since traveling overseas is difficult now, I will enjoy domestic trips to rediscover the beauty of Japan!

石垣港離島ターミナル集合で私達夫婦を含めて6人が参加した「星空鑑賞＆ナイトサファリ」のツアー、ガイドは、良く通る声で色々分かりやすく説明してくださったありさん。知らない場所での夜のドライブは、危険なのでツアー参加が正解！真っ暗な道を目的地までスムーズな運転で進みながら途中、琉球コノハズクを見たり、到着後は、用意されていた長靴に履き替え小型強力なトーチで足元を照らしながら亜熱帯の希少生物探しちょっとした探検のようでした。時折ヤシガニや昆虫、トカゲなどを発見！自然との距離が一気に縮まる瞬間です。自然は、迎合的ではないので天候も生物も期待通りには、行きませんが、それはまた意外性を持つという一面にも繋がるのでワクワク感が常にある楽しいツアーでした。ガイドのありささん有難うございました。また今後の旅でツアーに参加する時は、ベルトラさんのツアーを探します。ちなみに海外でのツアーはいつもベルトラさんでした。海外行きが困難な今、日本の美しさを再確認する国内の旅を楽しみます♪
