It was cloudy, so unfortunately we couldn't see the starry sky, but we encountered a lot of creatures. I was really happy to see coconut crabs, firefly larvae (they were glowing!), and rare snakes. If you're not good with bugs, be careful! We also saw many small children participating. All the staff were kind and incredibly knowledgeable; they explained the ecology of each creature in detail and kept the atmosphere lively during the car rides. I really appreciated that they took a lot of photos and shared them with us. I want to come back and try again when the stars are visible!
曇っていて生憎ながら星空は見えませんでしたが、生き物にはたくさん出会えました。
ヤシガニやホタルの幼虫(光ってました！)、レアな蛇なども出てきて嬉しかったです。
虫苦手な人は注意！ってくらい虫にも出会えます笑
小さい子供もたくさん参加していました。
スタッフさんも全員親切で知識量も凄く、一匹ずつ生態を詳しく説明してくれたり、行き帰りの車の中でも終始盛り上げてくれました。
写真もたくさんとっていただいて、共有してもらえるのもすごくありがたかったです。
次は星空が見える時にリベンジしたいです！

We participated as a family of four, with our 3-year-old and 6-year-old children. Each of us held a light as we ventured into the jungle. We explored together, looking up, down, and sideways, discovering small insects, hermit crabs, and rare plants. The kids were incredibly excited even before entering the jungle, actively searching for creatures with our two guides. We were thrilled when we found a coconut crab hiding in the rock wall and shadows.
There were various creatures lurking everywhere—under leaves, in rock crevices, and beneath trees. We enjoyed the thrill of discovery and the sense of unity as we found things together.
The guides were entertaining and had a wealth of knowledge. The climax of our jungle adventure was the starry sky. We were blessed with good weather and had the best night tour.
I thought I was just accompanying my kids who love creatures, but in the end, I found myself seriously exploring as well. It was a fun time, and we were all drenched in sweat.

ガイドのお兄さんたちは、説明が面白く、話題が豊富でした。ジャングル探検のクライマックス、満天の星空。天候に恵まれ、最高のナイトツアーを過ごせました。
生き物が好きな子供に付き合って参加したつもりが、最終的に自分でも探索を真剣にするくらい、楽しい時間でした。 全身汗だくになります。

I participated in a jungle exploration and stargazing tour. At first, I was anxious about the night jungle exploration, but thanks to the kind guidance of the staff, I was able to relax and enjoy myself. The round trip to the tour location took about 30 to 40 minutes by bus, but during that time, the staff shared many stories about Ishigaki Island, making the time fly by! In the jungle, I was able to see rare creatures like coconut crabs and whip scorpions, as well as various other animals like frogs and insects up close. By chance, I also got to witness a cicada hatching, which was truly moving. 最初は夜のジャングル探検とのことで不安でしたが、スタッフの方々が優しく案内してくださったお陰で、安心して楽しむことができました。
ツアーの場所への往復はバスで30〜40分ほどかかりましたが、その間もスタッフさんが石垣島にまつわるお話をたくさんして下さり、あっという間の時間でした！
ジャングルではヤシガニやサソリモドキなどの珍しい生物や、カエルや昆虫など様々な生物を間近で見ることができました。
最後には偶然ですが、セミが孵化している所も見ることができ、感動しました。
また、その日は快晴だったので星空もとても綺麗で、流れ星もたくさん見ることができ、最後まで楽しく過ごすことができました。

We participated in a star and jungle tour as a couple! In the jungle, there are a lot of insects, so long sleeves and long pants are recommended. There were various creatures, and the staff helped us find them, including a coconut crab! Also, the stars were incredibly beautiful. We saw shooting stars several times. The staff were energetic, cheerful, and kind. There were some international guests in our group, and someone who spoke English assisted us, allowing everyone to have a great time until the end. Since my flight arrived in Ishigaki at 17:30, I thought I wouldn't be able to do anything on the first day, but I found this tour. It started at 19:30, so I had plenty of time after dropping off my luggage at the hotel. The meeting point was at the remote island terminal. From there, we traveled about 30 minutes by microbus. After that, we walked through the night forest to the coast. They provide lights and rubber boots for free, so you can walk comfortably. *It's a good idea to bring socks. I didn't get bitten by bugs even without long sleeves.
As we walked down the slope with the light illuminating the path, we encountered a coconut crab. It was a vibrant blue. I was amazed to see a creature I had never seen before.
I was also looking forward to the starry sky, but it was a bit disappointing because it was just after a full moon and too bright. However, it was still much prettier than in the city. I've heard that the sky looks best after a new moon.
On the way back from the coast, I spotted a cicada emerging from its shell. I haven't seen that since I was a child, and it brought back memories from that time. This experience will stay in my heart forever!
I felt like a child again and was able to experience a little adventure. I can recommend this to anyone with elementary school-aged children. I'm sure it will create wonderful memories!
石垣に17:30着の飛行機だったため初日は何もできないかと思いましたがこちらのツアーをみつけました。19:30スタートだったのでホテルに荷物を置いてからでも十分間に合いました。集合は離島ターミナル。そこから30分ほどマイクロバスで移動。その後夜の森の中を海岸まで歩きます。ライトと長靴を無料で貸してくれるので安心して歩けます。※靴下は持って行った方がいいです。長袖は着なくても虫に刺されたりはなかったです。
ライトで道を照らしながら坂道をくだっていくと途中でヤシガニと遭遇。鮮やかな青色。今までに見たことがない生物に感動しました。
星空にも期待しましたが、満月になったばかりで明るかったため星空としては残念でした。しかし都会よりもはるかにきれいな星空でした。新月のあとが一番きれいに見えるそうです。
海岸から戻る途中でクマゼミが羽化しているのを見つけました。セミの羽化を見るのは子供の時以来です。その時の思い出もフラッシュバックしました。経験はずっと心に残っていますね！
童心に返りちょっとした冒険が経験できました。小学生ぐらいのお子さんがいる人にお勧めできます。きっといい思い出ができますよ！！

I have always loved living creatures. I participated with my husband, who is not fond of insects. It was truly enjoyable to explore a jungle-like path without any leveling, using a flashlight that was given to each of us! Three young men acted as conductors, and I was impressed by their wealth of knowledge; whenever I asked, "What is this?" they would immediately tell me.
As we searched for creatures, shining our lights from our feet to above our heads, whenever we found something and reported it to the young men, they never showed any annoyance. Instead, they would stop and explain everything in detail.
After passing through the jungle, we arrived at a beach with a stunning starry sky! The moment everyone turned off their flashlights, another wave of emotion hit us. They also taught us about constellations in detail, and I was in awe of their extensive knowledge. Even my husband, who dislikes insects but loves stars, was moved by this experience.
I often get strange looks from others for my love of creatures, but in this environment, it was perfectly normal to touch a stick insect or get excited about frogs. I was so happy. I think this experience might not be suitable for those who are afraid of insects, but I highly recommend it for those who are okay with them! I would even want to come back to Ishigaki Island just to participate in this again.

整地が一切されていないジャングルのような道を、1人一本ずつ渡される懐中電灯を照らしながら探索するのが本当に楽しかった！
3人のお兄さんがコンダクターをしてくれますが、どの方もとにかく知識が豊富で「これは何？」と聞くとすぐに教えてくれることに感動。
足元から頭上まで各々で灯りを照らしながら生き物を探し、見つけたらお兄さんに報告すると、鬱陶しがることは全くなく、きちんと立ち止まって丁寧に説明してくれます。
そしてそのジャングルを抜けた先には、満点の星空が広がるビーチ！
全員が懐中電灯を消した瞬間に、また別の感動が訪れます。
そこでも星座などを細かく教えてくれ、知識量の多さに脱帽。
虫嫌いだけど星は好きな旦那も、これには感動していました。
生き物が好きすぎて普段は周りからドン引きされることが多い私ですが、ナナフシを触っても、カエルに興奮しても、それが当たり前に受け入れられる環境でした。うれしかったです。
虫が苦手な方は向いていないと思いますが、大丈夫な方には本当にオススメです！
これに参加するためにまた石垣島に来たいくらい。

We followed a staff member who called himself a coconut crab hunter, and we were able to see them safely!!! He was very satisfied after taking a commemorative photo with the coconut crab. I participated on June 25.
On the way to the site, I encountered an owl, and once we started walking, many creatures appeared. Each group got to take photos with coconut crabs and even touched a sea snake, which I think was unique to this tour.
We discovered so many creatures that we ended up extending our time quite a bit, but I was very satisfied. It was quite hot, so I think it's best to remember to bring water.
The stargazing was wonderful as the night progressed, with a clear sky full of stars. The view of the Milky Way was amazing. I was very satisfied that we were able to take our time compared to other tours.
Participating on our wedding anniversary created the best memories.

沢山の生き物発見で、かなりの時間延長でしたが大満足でした。かなり暑いので水分は忘れずに持って行った方がいいと思います。
星空鑑賞も夜がふけるにつれ雲一つない素晴らしい星空でした。天の川までみえる星空は素晴らしかったです。他のツアーよりもゆっくり時間をかけてもらい大満足でした。

It was fun! I participated because I wanted my 3-year-old and 6-year-old boys to experience the jungle. I was happy to see creatures that we don't usually encounter, like coconut crabs, sleeping birds, and sea snakes. The kids were also delighted, saying how happy they were that the guide kindly taught them various things! The weather was nice, and we could see a beautiful starry sky. It was completely dark around us with no lights, but since it was a full moon that day, it seems that the starry sky would be even more beautiful during a new moon.

I had an amazing experience on the jungle tour in Ishigaki Island that I couldn't have had without the tour! I was so happy to see the coconut crab, which I was looking forward to the most. The guides were very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the creatures we discovered, making the exploration very enjoyable. Since there is quite a bit of walking, I recommend bringing plenty of water. The guides will send you many photos they took after the tour. I highly recommend the night tour! Definitely give it a try!
ツアーなしでは体験できないジャングルツアーに参加できて最高な石垣島での思い出ができました！
1番楽しみにしていたヤシガニもみることができて嬉しかったです。
ガイドさんたちも知識豊富で生き物を発見したら名前やそのほかも豆知識も教えてくださってとても楽しく探検できました。
結構歩くのでしっかり水分をもって参加するのをお勧めします。写真はガイドさんがたくさん撮ってくれたのをツアー後送ってくれます。

I had an amazing time. I was really looking forward to it, but it exceeded my expectations.
About the guide: We explored the dark, tropical jungle illuminated by our lights, discovering rare creatures and enjoying the beautiful starry sky from the sandy beach.
I was overwhelmed by the guide's extensive knowledge of plants and animals. When I asked questions, he provided answers along with additional related information.
During this tour, we saw many rare creatures, including coconut crabs, baby coconut crabs like hermit crabs, bats, and owls.
I usually go to the sea and beaches when visiting Ishigaki Island, but I didn't know there was such untouched, vast nature in the jungle.
I would love to participate again.

I participated in mid-June. It was around the time when the rainy season was expected to end, and although it didn't rain, the weather was incredibly humid, making us all sweat a lot. Apparently, this kind of climate makes the wildlife more active. Thanks to that, I was able to encounter a turtle, which is rare, and even a coconut crab! At first, my husband wanted to participate, so my child and I reluctantly joined, but by the end, everyone had a great time. Despite the sweat, our eyes were sparkling with excitement. The guide was also very knowledgeable and kept talking, which was enjoyable! It was a great experience. Thank you!

I originally planned to join a different stargazing tour, but due to the cloudy forecast, I quickly decided to participate in this tour instead! As expected, we couldn't see the stars, but I had a great time exploring the jungle at night, which is something I wouldn't normally experience! I encountered a cicada emerging from its shell, saw birds resting, and spotted many coconut crabs! The staff were very knowledgeable and taught us a lot throughout the experience, which made it very satisfying! Next time, I would love to join again on a day when we can see a sky full of stars. I really wanted to see a coconut crab, so I participated in this night tour recommended by the guide from Pipi! I was amazed when the guide found a coconut crab clinging to a distant cliff, but not only that, they also helped us get a closer look at a coconut crab nearby by letting it hold onto a stick, allowing us to see its patterns up close! I expressed my desire to see more creatures, and I was so happy that they kindly accommodated my request! I will definitely join Pipi's tour again when I come back!

Today, my wife and I participated in this tour. Although it was cloudy and we couldn't see the stars, we still had an exciting night. The guide continuously introduced various features of Ishigaki Island along the way, making the journey to the forest very interesting without a moment's rest. Once we entered the forest, the guide eagerly helped us find various animals. I participated with my wife and our two sons, aged 4 and 10. It was an adventure tour exploring the hot and humid subtropical night jungle, and everyone was excited from start to finish. I participated in a stargazing and night tour for the first time because I wanted to see the beautiful starry sky and the tropical flora and fauna. Since there were only my child and me as participants this time, we were able to take our time and learn various things from the guide. We were able to see coconut crabs and hermit crabs, and the starry sky was beautiful to see with the naked eye. I truly had a wonderful time. My child was scared at first, but by the end, they said, "It was so much fun!" and we were able to create lovely memories on our last day. The guide was kind and shared a lot of detailed information about the various plants and animals. I would love to join the stargazing and night tour again the next time I come to Ishigaki Island. I experienced a full loop hike around Shiretoko Goko with a group of ten, including our guide. It had snowed the night before, leaving some snow on the ground, muddy areas, and droplets falling from branches above as we walked slowly. We encountered untouched nature, trees marked by bear claws, trees dug up by bears, areas of skunk cabbage where bears had lain down, and trees intertwined with vines that bears had pulled. Our guide provided a lot of explanations, and the three hours flew by.
The weather in nature can change quickly, and although it wasn't great weather, it was a very good experience. I must say, it was really great that our guide was a veteran.
As for clothing, I felt it was essential to consider the temperature and wear waterproof gear, even if you don't have rain gear. I wore waterproof sports clothing and a full set of rain gear to keep warm.
ガイドさん含めた10人で知床五湖大ループ全周散策を体験しました。前夜に雪が降り、足元には所々に雪が残り、泥濘、上からは木枝から雫が落ちる中、ゆっくりと歩き進み、手付かずの自然と熊の爪痕が残る樹木、熊が掘った樹木、熊が寝そべった跡の水芭蕉地帯、熊が蔓を引っ張り蔓と一体化した樹木等、沢山、ガイドさんからの説明があり、あっという間の3時間でした。
自然の天候は変わりやすく、好天では無かったですが、とても良い体験が出来ました。
おまけに、ガイドさんがベテランの方で本当に良かった。の一言に尽きました。
服装ですが、必ず、気温を考慮し、雨具が無くとも防水上下は必須だと感じました。私はスポーツ用の防水上下に、雨具上下のフルセットで防寒になりました。

I participated in late May!! Unfortunately, due to the cloudy weather, we had to give up on stargazing, but it was a great tour filled with adventure, including exploring for coconut crabs and discovering other small animals. It wasn't a physically demanding experience, so women were also able to join. The tour guide was very kind and friendly, making it a very fulfilling tour!! I think it's an experience tour that can be enjoyed by both groups and individuals!!!

It took about 30 minutes by car from the terminal. During the ride, our guide Gin-chan shared stories about the island and provided a fun tour, making the journey feel quick and enjoyable. When we arrived at the pitch-black jungle, we were each given a flashlight, and with excitement, we ventured into the jungle under Gin-chan's guidance. We encountered many coconut crabs, rare crabs, and spiders. It was incredibly fun. Although we didn't get to see the beautiful starry sky, I want to try again. The thrill of searching for creatures was exhilarating, and I had a blast. I highly recommend this experience! On the way back, we also encountered Ryukyu wild boars and frogs, which added to the value of the trip!
ターミナル集合から車で30分ぐらい移動。車中 ガイドさんの銀ちゃんが、ツアー案内から島の話から楽しい時間で飽きることも無くあっという間の移動でした。真っ暗なジャングルに着くと・・1人1人懐中電灯を渡されドキドキで銀ちゃんの案内の元ジャングル内へ突入。沢山のヤシガニ、珍しいカニ、蜘蛛・・との出会い。めちゃくちゃ楽しかったです。唯一素敵な星空には逢えませんでしたが、リベンジしたいです。生き物探しのワクワク 久々きゃーきゃーわーわーほんと楽しかったです。めちゃくちゃおすすめです♪帰り道 琉球いのししやかえるにも逢えてお得感満載でした♪

I participated in the Shiretoko Five Lakes group tour. On the day of the tour, we started at 9:50 AM with a total of 9 people, including one child. However, shortly after departing, we received information about a bear sighting, and we had to turn back without seeing any of the lakes. Thanks to our guide, Ayano, we decided to try again in the afternoon. In the afternoon, two more people joined us, bringing the total to 11 (including one child) as we started again. We visited the Fifth Lake and Fourth Lake, but once again, we received information about a bear sighting and had to turn back. In the end, we attempted the tour twice but were unable to visit all five lakes.
Ayano, our guide, was very knowledgeable, and I had a great time during the tour. However, when there are many people in the group, if you are at the back, it can be difficult to hear Ayano's explanations. Even if you can hear her, the line moves forward when you want to look at something, which was a bit disappointing. When there are children in the group, they tend to move ahead quickly, creating the impression that the group is moving at a fast pace. I think it would be better if the guide could ensure that those at the back also have time to listen and look, or if the group size could be limited to about five people. This way, it would be easier to experience the tour while seeing the actual sights.

当日は9時50分スタート、他のお客さん(子供1名)と合計9名でガイドしていただきましたが、出発して早々に熊の出現情報が入り、湖を1つも見れずに引き返しました。ガイドの綾野さんの提案により午後に再挑戦することに。午後には2人増え、合計11人(子供1名)でスタート。五湖、四湖と回ったところでまたまた熊の出現情報が入り引き返すことに。結局２度挑戦しましたが、五湖すべてを回ることはできませんでした。ガイドの綾野さんは知識が豊富でガイド中はとても楽しく過ごせましたが、対人数が多い場合、後ろの方にいると綾野さんの説明が聞こえません。また説明は聞こえても物を見る時には列は進んでしまっているので、ちょっと残念でした。お子さんがグループにいる場合、どうしても子供は前に行くのでサクサク進んでしまう印象でした。後ろの方にいる方にも説明はもちろん、見る時間も確保できるように進んでもらう、もしくは対人数を5人とかにしていただけると、もっと実物を見ながら聞きやすく体験できるんだろうなと思いました。
