At the end of March 2023, I participated with my son and nephew. I was thrilled to see two long-awaited coconut crabs, which was one of the children's goals for this trip! We also spotted small scorpions, hermit crabs, and gobies.

The starry sky was cloudy when we were by the sea, but my nephew said it looked beautiful from the car window on the way back ^^ (I couldn't see much from my seat).

Our guide, Akari, was cheerful and fun to talk to. She provided detailed information about the creatures and plants, and also shared recommendations for restaurants while we were in the car, which made the experience very enjoyable. I was happy to receive photos as well, allowing me to look back and remember those moments.

In our daily lives, we are overwhelmed by too much information that comes to our eyes and ears, which can be exhausting and numbing. When we got off the bus, we found ourselves in a dark mountain area with no signal, and we excitedly ventured down a path that felt like a beast trail with our flashlights, searching for coconut crabs. We finally reached the coast, and when we turned off our flashlights, we were greeted by a sky full of stars. Since it had rained the day before, I wasn't expecting much, but it was truly moving. Experiencing the pitch-black sea illuminated only by the stars and moonlight was something quite rare.

This was my first time participating. My children love bugs, so we were looking forward to it. However, I had given up on other tours since they required participants to be in elementary school or older, but just before the trip, I found this tour that allows participation from age 3 and made an immediate reservation.

It was cloudy around noon, so I was worried about the starry sky, but we were able to see a sky full of stars. Since we had a 4-year-old with us, I thought they might be scared in the dark, but they were happy to follow their siblings with the flashlights that were provided, one for each of us.

We were able to find large and small coconut crabs, purple land hermit crabs, and other creatures, making it a very enjoyable tour. Additionally, we received photos from the day via LINE after the experience tour ended.

Additionally, I was able to encounter many creatures, and the guide was very thorough in his introductions, which made it enjoyable! You can also rent rubber boots, so it felt safe and secure! I’ll definitely ask for this again when I go to Ishigaki Island!

今回、残念ながら楽しみにしていたヤシガニには出会えませんでしたが、都会ではなかなか見ることのできない星空が見られ楽しかったです⭐︎

ジャングルのような所を歩いて行くので子供は大喜び、寒くてあまり生き物には出会えませんでしたが、ガイドさんのおかげで楽しく過ごす事ができました(^-^)

生き物や植物、星空の撮り方など色んな事を教えていただきとても勉強になりました。
