I went on the morning course, and it was great. The sea was perfectly calm and shallow for as far as the eye could see. We moved to a nearby island with SAP, and you can feed the fish. You can take a lot of photos, but I hope the weather is nice. Also, there were fewer fish than expected.

It was my first experience with canoeing, and I felt a great sense of accomplishment as the guides were very kind and attentive, running alongside us and leading the way. I participated alone, but I was warmly supported, for which I am grateful. The bus driver was also friendly, providing guidance along the way and addressing each family by name. I participated in a canoe tour at Kawahira Bay, which received three stars in the Michelin Green Guide. The weather was perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed the emerald green sea and nature! I was also able to see the power spot, Heart Rock, and I made wonderful memories on Ishigaki Island. The guide, Hiro-san, shared many fun stories and recommended several great places to visit on Ishigaki Island. Next time, I want to try stand-up paddleboarding! Thank you!

Due to the wind, we switched from SUP to canoeing, but we were able to reach places that we couldn't go to with SUP, so I think both were enjoyable!

I participated in the Kayak Tour at Kabira Bay that departs in the afternoon. Unfortunately, due to the cloudy sky, I couldn't see the clear waters of Kabira Bay, but I was able to enjoy the tropical trees and coral rocks along the shore! I was hoping to do SUP at Kabira Bay, but due to the weather, we ended up canoeing. Canoeing was easy enough for elementary school students to paddle, so both adults and children could enjoy it. I was satisfied that we could go to an area behind Kabira Bay that is usually inaccessible. The guide was friendly and it was really great.

Snorkeling in the beautiful Miyako Blue sea was so much fun. The guide was very attentive and taught us well. We were able to see sea turtles and clownfish! The canoeing was combined with SUP, so the guide seemed to have a bit of a tough time.

The sunset was incredibly beautiful, absolutely the best! Our guide, Hina, was amazing too!! It was my first time canoeing and I participated alone, but I was able to enjoy canoeing with peace of mind thanks to Hina's careful support and thoughtfulness.
Paddling through the calm river, I felt relaxed yet put in a lot of effort while canoeing. The sunset over the mangroves at Ishigaki was a breathtaking view that can only be seen here.
I really wanted to experience the mangrove canoeing, so I made a last-minute reservation for a ride and joined in the afternoon. During the ride, Hina shared a lot of information about Ishigaki, and I was able to chat and exchange information with the other participants.
It was so much fun! I'm really glad I could participate!

Initially, I was a bit anxious because there were strong winds and rain like a typhoon from early morning on the day of my participation, but I was able to join the snorkeling, which is less affected by the weather. In April, Okinawa has already opened its beaches, but due to the weather, it was cold before and after entering the sea. However, since they lent me a wetsuit, it wasn't too bad while I was in the water! The snorkeling took place at Shigira Beach, where the water was shallow and the waves were calm. It was my first time snorkeling, and since it had been a while since I last went to the sea, I struggled at first to get the hang of breathing (to be honest, I thought about giving up), but within a few minutes, I was able to enjoy looking around underwater. I was also wearing a life jacket, so I felt safe as long as I didn't thrash around too much. It was my first time visiting Miyako Island and Okinawa, and I was surprised to see corals and colorful fish even close to the shore. Thanks to the guide, I was very happy to encounter a sea turtle and a clownfish! The guide taught us about Okinawan fish (the Oya-biccha left a strong impression) and adjusted the pace for each person, which made my first snorkeling experience enjoyable and reassuring. We also took commemorative photos before entering the water, and they captured moments of us swimming and with the sea turtle. However, since I had to wear a life jacket and stay on the surface, it seems quite difficult to get the best shot with the sea turtle on the seabed unless you're really lucky!
As for the SUP, I was able to switch to an early morning slot the next day. The location was at Ingyamarine Garden, a bit further east from the previous day, in a calm bay. Meeting at 6 AM was quite challenging, but it was refreshing to slowly paddle along the quiet sea while watching the sunrise. I don't usually have a habit of exercising, but it was an activity that even beginners could enjoy enough to stand and paddle. We also took a lot of photos.
当初の参加日は明け方から台風みたいな強風と雨だったので少し不安でしたが、その日は天候に左右されにくいシュノーケリングだけ参加させてもらいました。4月の沖縄は既に海開きしていますが、天候が天候なので海に入る前と後は寒かったです。ただウェットスーツをお貸しいただけたので海に入っている間はそうでもなかったです！シュノーケリングはシギラビーチで行いました。遠浅の海で波も穏やかでした。シュノーケリングは初めてで、久々の海ということもあり、最初は呼吸のコツを掴むのに苦戦しましたが（正直リタイアしようかと思いました）、数分もすれば海の中を眺めるのを楽しめるようになりました。ライフジャケットも着ていたので、よほど暴れない限り溺れることもなく安心だったと思います。宮古島はおろか沖縄に来たのも初めてでしたが、陸に近いところでもサンゴや色鮮やかな魚が見られて驚きでした。ガイドの方が見つけてくれたおかげで、ウミガメとクマノミにも会えてとても嬉しかったです！ガイドの方は沖縄の魚（オヤビッチャというのが印象に残りました）について教えてくれたり、一人一人のペースを見ながら進行してくださったので、初めてのシュノーケリングでしたが安心して楽しめました。写真も海に入る前に記念撮影をし、泳いでいるところ、ウミガメと一緒のところも撮ってもらいました。ただどうしてもライフジャケットを着て水面にいるので、海底にいるウミガメとベストショットを撮るのはよほど運が良くないと難しそうです…！
SUPの方は翌日早朝の枠が空いているということでそちらに移らせてもらいました。場所は前日からもう少し東に行ったインギャーマリンガーデンで、入り江になっている穏やかな海でした。朝6時集合でなかなか大変でしたが…日の出を見ながら静かな海をゆっくり進んでいくのは爽やかな気持ちでした。普段運動の習慣はありませんが、それでも立って漕げるくらいには初心者でも楽しめるアクティビティでした。写真もいっぱい撮ってもらいました。

The canoeing at Kabira Bay and snorkeling at Osaki were the best. I had booked SUP at Kabira Bay and a trip to the Phantom Island, but due to strong winds, the boat couldn't go out, so they offered an alternative. It turned out to be a great decision to go with their suggestion.
Both the Kabira Bay canoeing and Osaki snorkeling included GoPro filming, so I didn't have to worry about losing my own camera or smartphone. The conversations during the car ride about Ishigaki Island and recommended dining spots were also enjoyable and helpful for the trip.

I participated in snorkeling at Barasu Island and sightseeing at Yufu Island. In the afternoon, I participated in a snorkeling tour to see sea turtles. The water was a bit cold, but I gradually got used to it. Even though I felt a little anxious about swimming, our guide, Mayu, held a float and led us, so I was able to participate with peace of mind. Luckily, that day I got to see a sea turtle breathing at the surface, and Mayu took photos of me with the turtle and fish underwater, so even though it was a short time, it was a very precious experience.

今回どちらも初めての体験でしたが、とっても楽しく過ごさせていただき、どうもありがとうございました！！

After arriving at Iriomote Island, we quickly boarded a bus for a 15-20 minute ride to the area near Urauchi Bridge. We put on life jackets and received paddle instructions in the parking lot. My child was given a smaller paddle. It had been about 15 years since I last canoed, so I was a bit anxious, but since the shallow areas allowed the paddle to reach the ground, I felt reassured. While my child was crying the whole time, another participant's mother kindly said, "This child used to cry all the time too," and seeing a boy who wasn't crying at all made me feel that he had grown up strong. I thought that one day, we would look back and laugh about times like this. 午前カヌー午後由布島観光に参加しましたが、ここでしか出来ない体験だらけで大変良い思い出になりました！
西表島に到着後バスにすぐ乗り、15-20分バスで浦内橋付近まで。
ライフジャケットを着て駐車場でパドルの説明を受けます。子どもには小さいパドルをいただきました。
カヌーは約15年ぶり2回目で不安でしたが浅瀬で何かあればパドルが地面に届くので安心でした。子どもはどうなるのかイメージが湧いておりませんでしたが、前か真ん中に座ることが出来、落ちそうな気配もありませんでした。ただ、親のパドルが上になったときにポタポタ落ちる水が嫌だったような大泣き。終始「家に帰りたい〜」と叫んでいました笑 水が好きなお子さんでしたらとても楽しいと思います。
マングローブがたくさん生い茂るトンネルのようなところまで連れていってもらい、たまにマングローブにぶつかることもありましたがそれはそれで楽しく、景色を楽しみながら漕ぐことができました。
帰り道では実際に川の中でカヌーから降りてもいいですよと言ってもらい、降りたい人はその場で降りてマングローブに近づいていました（膝程度なので全く怖さはありませんでした） とっても貴重な体験ができ本当に楽しかったです。
子どもが終始号泣していると、他のツアー参加者のお母様が「この子もいつも泣いてたのよー」と声をかけてくださり、全く泣いてない男の子を見て、成長した姿がたくましく見え、いつかこんな時もあったと笑えるんだろうなと感じました。その時だけの方々でしたが、ツアーだとなんとなく一体感が生まれるのが醍醐味だなと感じました。
水牛車も由布島も大変楽しめました！

In the morning, I was worried about the strong winds, but by the time we started, the sun was shining and the wind had calmed down, making it an amazing experience!
I was able to make a reservation the day before, considering the weather, and on the day of the event, the pre-payment made everything go smoothly.
The water temperature was warm for March, and even when I fell off the SUP, I had borrowed a coat in advance, so I didn't get cold.
It was so much fun, and during the cleanup, I received a video that turned out beautifully! They filmed from above with a drone, allowing us to fully appreciate the beauty of the Ingyamarine Garden.
I was also able to borrow a smartphone case, so I could take photos underwater.
I want to experience this again!

I also experienced mangrove canoeing in Ishigaki Island and Amami Oshima, but the canoeing in Iriomote Island was the most interesting. With the guidance of our guide Yume, we were able to paddle deep into the mangroves from the wide river.
石垣島、奄美大島でもマングローブカヌーを体験しましたが西表島のカヌーが一番面白かったです。
ガイドのユメさんの案内で広い川からマングローブのずいぶんと奥までカヌーで入って行く事ができました。
The possibility of capsizing is low, but please be prepared for your bottom to get wet as water drips from the paddle.

I participated in a tour of Yubu Island and a mangrove canoe tour. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Barasu Island due to the weather.
Yubu Island has cute water buffalo and beautiful nature, and I really enjoyed it. There were also animals and birds along the way to Yubu Island, which was a lot of fun.
It was my first time kayaking in the mangroves, and I had a great time. I've often seen photos of mangrove tunnels, but the mangroves we visited were quite small, so I hope to see larger ones next time.
Before going on the canoe tour, we were told that the guide would take photos with a GoPro, so we didn't need to bring our smartphones. However, our guide used something like a digital camera instead. All the photos had a foggy appearance in the middle. I thought it might be mist, but since the same area was white, I believe it was due to lens fogging. I wanted to capture great memories in photos, but they didn't turn out well, which is disappointing. I wish they had used a GoPro instead. I wonder if it varies by guide.

カヌーツアーに行く前に、写真は、ガイドさんがゴープロで撮るのでスマートフォンは、持っていかなくても大丈夫と言われましたが、私たちのガイドさんはゴープロではなく、デジカメ？のようなもので撮影をしてくれました。全ての写真の真ん中あたりにモヤがかかっていました。霧かな？とも思いましたが、ほぼ同じ場所が白いのでレンズの曇りだと思います。せっかくの思い出を写真にのこしたかったのですが、あまりいい写真ではなく、残念です。また、ゴープロで撮影してほしかったです。ガイドさんによって違うのでしょうか。

The weather was great, and I had an amazing time! The guide, Yume, provided clear explanations on the mangroves and how to paddle a canoe. We also took a lot of photos, which became wonderful memories!
