Perhaps because the itinerary was quite packed, we had very little time for breaks. It was a shame we didn't have time for dinner, but considering it was the middle of a three-day weekend and there was traffic, I guess it couldn't be helped. Recently, I went on a matchmaking trip. Since it was a day trip bus tour, we started early in the morning! I had no trouble finding the meeting place at Shin-Osaka Station. And then, the tour began!

First, there were two bus drivers, which made me feel a bit more secure considering the number of bus accidents. The journey was a bit congested since it was a Saturday during summer vacation, but I didn’t mind and just relaxed. I realized again that Shimane Prefecture is quite far away.

First, we visited Yaegaki Shrine. There was a simple pamphlet, and even though I came without any study or preparation, I was able to enjoy myself without any inconvenience. After that, we headed to the main attraction, Izumo Taisha. The weather was nice, and I was able to worship at the sacred Izumo Taisha.

Finally, we went to Tamatsukuri Shrine, where I prayed at the wishing stone and was able to take home a precious charm as a memory of the trip! I felt that the time at Izumo Taisha was a bit short, but the timing for everything else was just right! On the way back, I was tired and fell into a deep sleep again.

The fatigue from the trip is part of the memories, and while feeling the essence of the bus tour, I’m immersed in the fun memories. I had a great time participating in this tour. Thank you very much!

願い石にお祈りをして、旅の思い出
大切な御守りを身につけることができましたっ！
出雲大社での時間は少し短く感じましたが、
他はちょうどいいぐらいの時間でした！
帰りは疲れてまた爆睡しましたっ。
旅の疲れも旅の思い出ってことで、
バスツアーの醍醐味を感じつつ、
楽しい思い出に浸ってます。
今回はツアーに参加でき楽しかったです。

I took the first train and arrived at Shin-Osaka, where the bus tour began early in the morning. I was surprised to see that most participants were women, either in pairs or alone, with no men in sight. The tour guide provided a brief explanation before stopping at each spot.

At the first spot, Yaegaki Shrine, I bought a fortune-telling paper for 100 yen and tried my luck at divination. Most people were eager to give it a go.

The main second spot was Izumo Taisha, where we had a two-hour free time that included lunch. Although it felt rushed in just two hours, I was glad to enjoy the local specialty, wariko soba, and zenzai.

The third spot was Tamatsukuri Shrine and Tamatsukuri Onsen. Unfortunately, we only had an hour and a half, which didn’t leave time for washing my hair or having dinner, which was a bit disappointing.

Due to traffic, we arrived later than scheduled at each spot, but I was really pleased that our stay times didn’t get shortened and we were able to stick to the original plan. While I wished I could have taken a bit more time to explore, it was a fulfilling day trip to Shimane.

そしてメインの二つ目のスポットでは、出雲大社と昼ご飯を含めて2時間の自由時間でした。2時間だったので駆け足でしたが、名物の割子そばとぜんざいも食べれて良かったです。
3つ目のスポットは玉作湯神社と、玉造温泉。1時間半しかなかったので、髪を洗う時間や夜ごはんを食べる時間がなかったのが少し残念でした。
渋滞で、各スポットに着く時間が予定時刻よりも遅れていましたが、それぞれの滞在時間が短くならずに、当初の予定通りとられたのが本当に良かったです。もう少しゆっくり見たかったなぁとは思いつつも、日帰りで島根まで行けて充実したツアーでした。

That was a bit disappointing. There are three buses per hour on the way back, and JR has a similar frequency, so it should take about an hour to return to the meeting point.

I took a bus from JR Atami Station to the Atami coast, visited the Kanichi Omiya statue, and Kaminoyama Shrine, then crossed the pass to take the cable car to the summit at Jukkoku-toge, hoping to see Mount Fuji, but it was cloudy and I couldn't see it... what a shame.

At Hakone-en, I could choose between the open-air bath at the Hakone Prince Hotel, the aquarium, or something else, but of course, I had to choose the bath at the Hakone Prince Hotel since you can't go to Hakone without enjoying a bath. That was a great choice!

There were only three of us, who seemed to be friends of my mom, in the bath, so we could relax and enjoy it thoroughly. Since it's a Prince Hotel facility, it was elegant and lovely. The mist sauna had seats that could be rinsed off with a shower, making it hygienic.

After that, we took a sightseeing boat on Lake Ashi, but again, we couldn't see Mount Fuji... what a shame. We visited the Hakone Checkpoint, bought souvenirs, and got off the bus at JR Odawara Station.

Unfortunately, I couldn't eat the black eggs at Owakudani since it was closed, but overall, I was quite satisfied. It seems there was a cancellation from a group tour, so there were only six participants, allowing us to have a large tour bus and an experienced tour guide all to ourselves, making it a luxurious day trip.

JR熱海駅前からバスに乗って、熱海の海岸、貫一お宮像、来宮神社と峠を越えて、十国峠でケーブルカーで山頂まで行って、富士山が見えるはずが、曇って見えない…残念。
箱根園で、箱根プリンスホテルの露天風呂か水族園かもう一個何かのどれかが選べるのですが、箱根で風呂に入らない訳ないので当然、箱根プリンスホテルのお風呂を選択。
これが当たりでした〜。
私とママ友らしい3人組だけしかお風呂に居ないので、ゆーっったり入れて満足。
プリンスホテルの設備なので、上品で素敵。ミストサウナも座席がシャワーで流せるので衛生的。
その後、芦ノ湖で遊覧船に乗って、やはり富士山見えず…残念。
箱根関所を見て、お土産買って、JR小田原駅でバスを降ります。
大涌谷は知っての通り通行止めなので、黒玉子は食べられないのが残念ですが、その他は概ね満足です。
団体客の日程違いキャンセルがあったらしく、参加者は6人だけで大きな観光バスとベテランバスガイドさんを独占できて、贅沢すぎる日帰り旅行でした。

We didn't know where to go in Tono, but wanted to spend an afternoon there, so we let the driver choose, おまかえ. We didn't request an english speaker, nor were we expecting one, but the drive spoke pretty good english. I was also only expecting the driver to just get us from point A to point B to point C, but he actually came to the different sightseeing locations with us and like a real tour guide, told us the history and significance of the places we stopped at. I had a lot of fun and would recommend the this tour in Tono. Great value and an efficient way to see much of Tono in just several hours. Will do this again next time I visit.

It was my first time to visit Toji temple and second time to visit Kinkakuji temple, and each visit touched me.
It was a great experience to see the inside of the 5 storied pagoda of Toji temple and learn about Japanese traditional architecture.
And I was enthralled by beauty of Kinkakuji temple in the sunset.
Time scheduling was well thought out, which is good because I was worried about missing the bullet train because I had to go back to Tokyo on that day. During the high season, give yourself extra time.
