I was initially worried about the Kirishima trip due to the volcanic ash. I was able to safely meet up with the person in charge, who was very kind. They adjusted the schedule while checking my interest in transportation methods and sightseeing spots after the group disbanded. I was happy to visit places outside the standard course. In the end, they saw me off to the station's ticket gate, which made me feel at ease. If I have another opportunity, I will make a reservation!
火山灰の関係で、当初霧島旅行に心配しました。
無事に担当者と合流し、すごく親切な方です。解散後の移動方法、観光地について興味有り無しを確認しながら、スケジュールを調整してもらいました。定番コース以外の場所も訪問ができ、嬉しかったです。

This was my second time on the Nara Kotsu sightseeing bus tour. My purpose for this tour was to visit Jiko-in, Yakushiji, and Toshodai-ji. The temperature in Nara that day was 34℃! I borrowed a parasol provided by the guide and ended up sweating a lot during the tour. At Jiko-in, I enjoyed matcha and traditional sweets while listening to a talk from the head priest. During that time, there was a pretty intense thunderstorm! The rain didn’t stop for a while, but thanks to that, I was able to listen to the priest's talk for a bit longer. The borrowed parasol transformed into an umbrella! 😅 At Toshodai-ji, the rain finally lightened up, and the greenery of the trees was very vibrant and beautiful. The guide helped me find great angles for Instagram-worthy photos, and I couldn't help but smile when I looked at the pictures I took. 😊 The driver even got off the bus to check for safety at the crosswalk. Nara Kotsu always provides a pleasant experience. This time, it was a very enjoyable and memorable bus tour! 😊
今回は2度目の奈良交通さんの定期観光バスツアーになります。このツアーの私の目的は慈光院さん、薬師寺さん、唐招提寺さんでした。この日の奈良の気温は34℃！ガイドさんが用意して下さった日傘を借りて汗びっしょりでのツアーになりました。慈光院さんでは、ご住職さんの法話を聞きながらお抹茶とお干菓子をいただきました。その最中にかなり激しい雷雨がバリバリバリ！雷雨がなかなか止まず、しかしそのお陰でご住職さんのお話をしばしお聞かせいただくことができました。そして借りていた日傘が雨傘に変身！😅唐招提寺さんでやっと雨が小降りになり、樹々の緑がとても鮮やかで綺麗でした。いろんなところでガイドさんにインスタ映え写真のアングルを教えていただいて自分で撮った写真を見てニンマリ。😊運転手さんはわざわざバスから降りて横断歩道まで出て安全確認をして下さってました。奈良交通さんは毎回気持ちがよいですね。今回もとても楽しく思い出深いバスツアーになりました😊
個人的には薬師寺さんのお隣にある休ヶ岡八幡宮もお勧めです。宮司さんが国宝にまつわるいろんなお話をしてくださるので、楽しいてすよ😊時間が許せば是非どうぞ。

The tour was efficient, lasting four hours in the afternoon, and our guide, Minori, was kind and knowledgeable, which was great. The English guide via the machine also seemed good. The five-story pagoda is under renovation and won't be visible for a while (7 years?), but I still recommend it. The staff at the reception and the driver were all very pleasant, making for an enjoyable sightseeing experience. Thank you very much.

I used this bus tour with my fifth-grade child on our first trip to Nara. The guide shared many interesting stories both on the bus and during the tour, allowing us to learn things we wouldn't have known if we had gone on our own. The tour efficiently covered the famous sites, and I highly recommend the bus tour. It was unfortunate that it rained, but since we were on a bus, it wasn't too inconvenient.
The lunch set with persimmon leaf sushi was quite filling, and it was delicious. My child is not fond of mackerel, but I heard we could change it to chirashi sushi. My child chose to stick with the persimmon leaf sushi and really enjoyed it.
Family and relatives said that my child would find Nara boring, but they had a great time and really liked Nara. The Ishibutai Kofun seemed particularly fun for them. We enjoyed learning about Prince Shotoku and Asuka-dera together, saying that these topics will come up in school! It might have been even better if we had come right after learning about history.
I thought I would like to visit Asuka Village again. Next time, I want to take a leisurely stroll along the old roads that the guide mentioned.
The meeting point at Nara Station was easy to find at bus stop 4, but the reception area was only noted as the regular sightseeing bus information center, which left me wondering where it was. 初奈良旅行で、小学5年の子供と一緒にこちらのバスツアーを利用しました。バスの中でも引率中でも興味深い話を沢山してくださり、個人で行ってたら分からなかったであろうことを知ることができました。名所を効率良く周れますし、バスツアーはおすすめです。
雨だったのが残念ですが、バスなのであまり不便も感じませんでした。
昼食の柿の葉寿司の定食は結構ボリュームがあり、お腹いっぱいで味も美味しかったです。
子供は鯖が苦手なこともあるので、チラシ寿司に変更できるそうです。うちの子はそのまま柿の葉寿司にしましたが、美味しいと気に入ってました。
家族や親戚に子供は奈良なんて行ってもつまらないと言われましたが、結構楽しんでましたし、本人も奈良を気に入りました。特に石舞台古墳は楽しかったようです。
聖徳太子や飛鳥寺なども、これから社会で出てくるよ！と言いながら親子2人で楽しみました。
本当は歴史で習った直後に来るともっといいかもしれませんね。
明日香村はまた行きたいなと思いました。
今度はガイドさんが教えてくれた古い道とか、ゆっくり散策してみたいです。
奈良駅の集合場所はバス乗り場の4番とのことですぐにわかりましたが、受付場所が定期観光バス案内所としか記載がなく、どこ？？となりました。今回は時間に余裕があったので人に聞いたりして大丈夫でしたが、改札出てすぐ横などの目安になる言葉や、地図の記載などがあると助かるなと思いました。ご検討ください。

We often go around collecting goshuin (temple stamps) on our own, but it feels like we're just going to get the stamps. On a bus tour, we can learn a lot of things, which is really appreciated. The tea service at Jiko-in was something we wouldn't have experienced if we went individually, so it was really great.

The guide was interesting and amazing. They kept the participants engaged with various stories and talked throughout the travel and the tour. (It's a tough job.)
Not only were they entertaining, but their knowledge was incredible. Even during traffic jams, they flexibly brought up different topics, which impressed me. They also included recent topics, and I felt they must be constantly learning and staying updated on what to discuss during tours.
I participated in the tour the day after visiting the National Treasure Exhibition, and I thought the guide was a treasure of Nara. I hope they continue to do well and stay energetic. Since I came from Tohoku, I can't often go to Kansai, but I would recommend it to my friends, and I personally want to participate again to meet the guide. Thank you very much!

The Nara Kotsu sightseeing bus tour included lunch and was a full-day course. This tour provided a sense of security. The service was polite and punctual, and I received a cute towel handkerchief as a memento. The guide's explanations included history with a touch of humor, which was just right.
I was able to visit the places I wanted to go, and having prior explanations helped deepen my understanding of things that I might have just passed by. The tour was packed with visits to Hōryū-ji, Chūgū-ji, lunch & shopping, Jikō-in, Yakushi-ji, and Tōshōda-ji, and involved quite a bit of walking. Some participants finished in half a day, so it seems like it can be arranged according to one's physical condition and schedule.
Lunch was kamameshi, which was average... Since it was a souvenir shop, I could do some shopping and received a 10% discount coupon. *There aren't many shopping places on this tour.
At Jikō-in, which I visited for the first time, I was able to enjoy tea service and spend a relaxing time. In the end, I could also see the Suzaku Gate from the bus window, and I thoroughly enjoyed Nara, feeling like I time-traveled back to the Asuka and Heian periods throughout the day. With entrance fees, lunch, tea, and a gift included, it was very economical to efficiently visit so many places in one day!

法隆寺・中宮寺・昼食&買い物・慈光院・薬師寺・唐招提寺と盛りだくさんで、かなり歩くツアーでした。半日で終了するかたもいたので、体力や都合に合わせてアレンジできそうです。
お昼は釜飯で、普通でした…お土産店なので買い物もでき、10%オフ券をいただきました。※このツアーでは、買い物する場所はあまりないです。
初めて知った慈光院では、お茶の持てなしもありゆっくりした時間を過ごせましたし、最後には朱雀門も車窓から見ることができ、一日かけて飛鳥・平安の時代にタイムトリップした感じで奈良を満喫しました。
入場料もお昼もお茶もつき、プレゼントもあり、一日でこれだけの場所を効率よく回れるのはとてもお得でした！

At the Hōryū-ji Treasure Museum, I was able to see a Kannon statue that is usually not on display. At Tōshōdai-ji, I was shown a flower called keika, which resembles a white hydrangea. There were so many Kannon statues that I couldn't tell them apart, but the guide pointed out which one it was, allowing me to see it. Even though the viewing time for the keika had passed, thanks to the skill of the veteran guide, I was allowed to enter and experience something that I couldn't have done on my own. The guide's explanations were delivered in a relaxed and humorous tone, and I was really glad to have participated in the tour. I've been to Nara many times, but this was my first tour. I highly recommend the tour for those who want to explore efficiently!

Hōryū-ji Temple exuded an atmosphere that made it feel as if I had traveled back to the Asuka period just by standing there. Although the grounds are spacious, they are relatively compact, so I hardly got tired from walking. The ancient statues and Buddhist implements remaining in their original state were mystical and left a lasting impression on me.
