It was a bit early for the autumn leaves, but it was great to be able to sightsee without walking too much by taking a taxi. The Jōruri-ji Temple, which we visited on short notice, was quiet and a very nice place. I would like to request the same driver next time.
紅葉には 少し早かったけれど、タクシーで あまり歩かないで 観光できて良かったです。

This year, the autumn leaves were late, and by mid-November, they had just started to show some color. I thought it would be crowded with visitors during the tourist season in Nara, but perhaps because it was a bit far from Nara Station, I was able to visit the temples leisurely and comfortably. The guide's explanations were very enjoyable and impressive. I was able to visit calmly, and I had a happy time meeting many Buddha statues, including the Bodhisattva Hanka Shiwizō at Chūgū-ji. We welcomed two aunts in their 70s and 80s from western Japan for their first sightseeing experience in Yokohama, accompanied by three women in their 40s who live in Yokohama.
Before departing from the hotel, we received an explanation of the Western-style buildings we would visit, allowing us to request specific ones we wanted to see. This gave us a sense of reassurance.
During the journey, we learned about Yokohama's historical buildings, as well as the history of Chinatown and Motomachi. The aunts, who were visiting Yokohama for the first time, were delighted and even asked the driver personal questions. His thoughtful responses left a strong impression.

I thought the observation deck and the aquarium were in the same building, but they were in separate buildings. The aquarium is located on the rooftop, so I didn't have high expectations, but it was very interesting. The penguins' aerial walk felt like they were flying in the city sky. Everywhere we went was wonderful, and it was interesting to hear the monk's stories while looking at the garden of Jiko-in. I was prepared for a lot of walking, but it wasn't that tough.

I used this service for solo travel. In the morning, I did some sightseeing, and in the afternoon, I planned to explore around Nara Park, so the 4.5 hours was just the right amount of time. I started at Hōryū-ji early in the morning while it was still quiet, and I was taken to places like Yakushi-ji and Tōshōdaiji that I wouldn't have visited without the driver’s guidance. I was also shown great photo spots and managed to take some wonderful pictures! I was supposed to be dropped off near Tōdai-ji on the way back, but since it was a weekday and not crowded, I was able to visit Nigatsu-dō, which wasn't part of my original plan, thanks to the extra time. I was really happy about this surprise addition to my sightseeing. The guide, Mr. Maruyama, was experienced and calm, making it a memorable trip to the ancient capital. Thank you for your help!

To avoid the crowds, I chose to visit the Shosoin Exhibition in the evening and participated in a tour during the less busy daytime. Last year, I also joined the Nara Regular Sightseeing Bus and had a great experience, so I didn't hesitate to choose it again this time.
As predicted, there was heavy rain in the afternoon, but that was expected and not the fault of Nara Kotsu. Recently, some tours have had tour conductors but no bus guides. Personally, I definitely prefer having a bus guide. The amount of information shared during the journey is completely different. They talk about not only history and information about the tour destinations but also details about the municipalities we pass through and recommend delicious places to eat. I believe they put in a lot of effort every day.
I've participated in the regular sightseeing buses of neighboring prefectures many times, but I feel that joining the one in Nara was a much better experience.
混雑を避けるため正倉院展は夕方としたため、空いている日中にツアーに参加しました。
昨年度も奈良定期観光バスも参加してとてもよかったため、今回も迷わず奈良定期観光バスからの選択肢となりました。
前日からの大雨予報のとおり、午後の一部は大雨警報の中の参観となりましたが、それは想定内。奈良交通さんのせいではありません。
最近のツアーで添乗員さんはいても、バスガイドさんはいないことがあります。わたしは断然バスガイドさんがいて欲しい派です。
道中の情報量が全く違います。歴史やツアー先の情報だけでなく、通っている市町村の情報やおいしい店など、いろいろ話してくれます。日々相当の努力をされているものと思います。
お隣の府の定期観光バスにも何度も参加しましたが、奈良の方が参加してよかった感が高いです。

As soon as we started from Kintetsu Nara Station, we were guided in real-time about various places visible from the train window, which allowed us to learn about things beyond just the places we visited, making us feel like we got a good deal.

It was sunny and hot at the time of departure, but by the time we arrived at Hōryū-ji, the weather started to look ominous, and by the time we visited Chūgū-ji, it had turned into light rain. However, thanks to this, we experienced a completely uncrowded and luxurious sightseeing trip.
I had checked the reviews before booking and was aware of the high reputation, but not only were the World Heritage sites, national treasures, and important cultural properties impressive, but the work and attentiveness of the bus guide and driver were also outstanding.
出発時は晴れて暑かったですけれど、最初に訪れた法隆寺に到着した頃から雲行きがあやしくなり、次に立ち寄った中宮寺からは小雨混じりの天候となりましたが、おかげでいずれも全く混み合うことのないがら空き状態で、本当に贅沢な観光となりました。
申込前に口コミをチェックし随分評判が高いことは認識していましたが、訪れる先々の世界遺産、国宝、重要文化財の数々はもちろんのこと、何よりもバスガイドさんとドライバーさんのお仕事ぶりと気配りが素晴らしかったです。

I thought the scale was not very large, but I was glad that it allowed us to feel close to the bears. During the feeding experience, my child was so engrossed that they kept buying more food. It seems they were captivated to the point of wanting to feed the bears again!

Even though it was a bus tour, we walked 13,000 steps, so I give it 4 stars. The grounds of the places we visited are spacious, and it's not the tour's responsibility. Compared to using public transportation, it was much easier. I recommend participating in comfortable shoes.
Personal disappointment
I think the visit to Jiko-in was unnecessary. I enjoyed the matcha and sweets, but there were similar sentiments from other participants regarding the content of the discussion. I would have preferred to spend that time exploring Daibutsuden more leisurely.

The weather forecast had predicted three days of rain, but on the day of the bus tour, it was the only day it rained. However, since we were able to see everything by bus, I didn't feel like it was a waste and felt lucky. The guide's explanations were wonderful, and they explained important points twice, making it very easy to understand and memorable. Everyone moved quickly, and while we tried to keep up with the time, we were satisfied with the day.
There was an overwhelming number of inbound tourists everywhere, but the bus tour was exclusively for Japanese people. It wouldn't be fun if you didn't understand Japanese. I had done the Hozu River boat ride the day before, but I got tired of the staff responding in strange broken English catering to inbound tourists, so I felt relieved during this bus tour. The meals were also satisfying.
After the tour ended, I thought I should have considered where to go next. We finished around 5 PM, so we still had a little time to play.
事前には3日間雨続きの天気予報だったが、その日になると、バスツアーの日だけが1日雨でした。
が、その日はバスで全て回ってくれるので、無駄にした気がせず、ラッキーに感じました。ガイドさんの説明は、素晴らしく、まただいじなところは2回ずつ説明してくれて、大変わかりやすく、印象に残りやすかった。
みなさん、とても回るのがはやく、私たちは時計を気にしながら頑張って進めた気がしますが、1日満足できました。
どこへ行ってもインバウンドがものすごかったのですが、バスツアーだけは、日本人のみでした。日本語がわからないと面白くないですからね。
保津川下りも前の日にしていたのですが、インバウンドに迎合した変なカタコト英語でスタッフが対応していたことに疲れてしまい、このバスツアーでほっとしました。
食事も満足です。
ツアーが終わってから、どこへ行こうか考えておけばよかったかなと思いました。17時頃解散で、まだ少し遊べました。

From the Hell Tour in Beppu to popular attractions like Mojiko in Kitakyushu, Kokura Castle, and Fukuoka Tower, I could enter immediately with the Funpass QR code. I enjoyed sightseeing comfortably and at a great value.
In addition to sightseeing tickets, it also includes gourmet exchange vouchers and shopping coupons, making it very convenient for us tourists.
