Hi Keiko,
We keep in mind a very good moment and experience with you, for us share this cooking lessons, the lunch and the discussion has been very enriching.
Thank you so much.
Hi Cecile,
Thank you very much for your review!
I and my friends did enjoy the cooking and talking with you!
Hope you cook Okonomiyaki in France sometimes.
Please visit us again if you come to Osaka next time!!
Thank you!!!!!
My wife and I greatly enjoyed this tour. Jennifer-san, our guide, did a great job in explaining the Maiko and Geiko (Kyoto preferred name for Geisha) culture while we walked through three of the five Hanamachi (Geiko districts). She showed us tea houses and homes, talked about schooling and careers. She also showed us some of the supporting professional such as teachers, dressers, and hair stylists. We even caught a few glimpses of Maiko headed to work.
As we strolled in the early evening we admired the Cherry trees in blossom and watched the night settle in. Then after a short walk along the river, we had an excellent meal at a small restaurant. Sushi, pickled vegetables, tempura, soup, wagyu beef, pork, sake, and of course - rice.
It was a great experience. Come prepared to walk a bit and to enjoy a variety of Japanese foods.
We are extremely happy that you and your wife did enjoy the tour!
We hope to see you again soon on your next visit to Japan!
Thank you very much! :)
I took this class in Nov with the hope of learning about Udon making and Japanese culture. I got both. Wakana is a delightful host. She taught me how to make Udon noodles, which is easy and I have have made them since I have been home with great success. She also is a patient teacher with Origami. Take this class you won't regret spending time learning a new skill.
Sato was an excellent teacher assisting me in cooking some delicious rice burgers. The only problem was that we both didn't have room for all that we made :)
Dear cooking master
Thank you very much for your wonderful comments and review! I'm so glad to hear from you! I remember you showed me many great pictures of your dishes! Each picture you showed me was so amazing and inspiring! You're such a great cook! Also, food lover is always very welcome to my cooking class! Please come back here anytime! Again, thank you so much for choosing my class from so many cooking classes in Tokyo! See you soon!
It was a very beautiful annex, and I was able to enjoy delicious sukiyaki! The maiko were lovely, and it was a precious experience to see them dance up close. I was significantly late for my reservation, but they were very polite and accommodating. I would definitely like to use this place again if I have the opportunity. Thank you!
I booked this for 2 people even though I was going alone, because it was the only way the website would accept the reservation. The day of the tour I had my hotel contact them to update my hotel pick up info, which also updated the number of guest. I was pleasantly surprised that they refunded the second ticket. The food and location were amazing, as was the meetings with the maiko and watching them dance. I wish there was a translator during your meeting with them. Since there wasn't, I only spent about 3-5 mins with each maiko whereas the tables of Japanese guests spent as much as 15 minutes with each of them. Otherwise, it was amazing.
Making okonomiyaki at C Flat was an entertaining experience. It was a little disorganised, but a lot of fun and a fantastic, diverse group of people to cook with. We had a lot of fun.
Hello Rachel, Thank you very much for coming. We are so sorry for being disorganized, but glad to hear that you had a lot of fun.
Please visit us again when you come to Osaka. Thank you again for coming and your feedback.
This wasn't my first trip to Japan or cooking class, but it was indeed the first time where I finally learned a ton of actually useful, tasty and healthy recipes that could be reproduced outside Japan! I loved every minute of the class with Sato, he's adorable and very skilled and I cannot recommend this class enough! Also, he took me around Tokyo after lunch and it was a real treat! There are some things that you miss altogether if you're just a tourist, so I highly recommend the tour as well: we were also particularly lucky because there was the beautiful Kanda Matsuri festival and I had the chance to have Sato explaining everything to me plus I could enjoy the festive vibes and the music!
Thank you Sato-San, again, I had a blast!
Mamma Mia! Thank you for beautiful comments and great review! I can't thank you enough! I feel so lucky to meet such a wonderful person like you! Of course I had a great great time with you while we were cooking but more than anything else, I was so happy that I could take you to Kanda Myoji festival, one of the biggest festival in Tokyo and we ended up our short trip there! I'm sure we were invited by Kanda shrine! In addition, you have much respect to our culture and everything about Japan that made me so happy! I'm so proud of what I do for living! I know you will stay in Japan for a while. If you need any help while you are here, don't hesitate to let me know anytime! I'll see you very soon!!! Big big hug sato
I had a wonderful time cooking, chatting, eating and seeing some of the nearby neighborhoods. I would definitely take another course if I was in Tokyo again.
Omg! Thank you very much for your review! You told me that you've been to many countries and taken many cooking classes! I'm so honored that I've gotten such a great comments and review from such a sophisticated person like you! You make me proud of what I do for living! I can't thank you enough!
When you came to my class, it was a wonderful sunny day! We had such a great conversation and lovely weather made the day even more beautiful and memorable! Thank you for bringing me such a wonderful weather! Actually, I'm your big fan now because you are a so cool and funny person! I hope I can cook with you again someday! If you have any questions as cooking Japanese food, please don't hesitate to ask me anytime! Besides, I hope that you will cook for your friends and family with my recipes back home! See you soon! Take care:-) Peace sato
Sato was a wonderful host. He picked us up at the station and walked us to his home. My mother and I were the only participants. We were able to ask him questions about the food, the several ingredients and how to use them in the bento box.
His explanation of the little dishes were very clear. He also gave us the recipes so that we could make them at home again. When we finished making our bento boxes, we went to Shinjuku park to eat our homemade bento boxes underneath the sakura blossoms. We've enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you very very much for your wonderful comments and review! I can't thank you enough! I had such a great time with guys too:-) You guys are such an amazing family making me so happy!!! Besides, the full bloomed cherry blossom and beautiful weather made the day even more beautiful! In addition, I'm so happy to hear that you liked what we made in class! Please cook for your friends with the recipes! Hope you will send me pictures someday! If you have any questions as you make Japanese food, please don't hesitate asking me anytime!
Again, thank you for choosing my cooking class from so many cooking classes in Tokyo! Please come back again! See you soon!
We had a wonderful experience by participating in this tour. Our young tour guide was excellent. She gave us a very interesting commentary on Nada Sake Brewery and the history of the region including interesting castles around. We had the opportunity of tasting Sake and buying Sake bottles and Japanese confectionaries and souvenirs. She arranged a buffet lunch for us that was the best lunch we had in all our tours in Japan. Fantastic young guide we all would like to extend our great appreciation for her wonderful job. Good luck for her future
I'm sure most of you would take a step back when you look at the cost, but honestly, how often do you travel to a new country and by-pass all the tourist-y spots to experience their culture in-depth?
This is the perfect opportunity to experience one of Japanese's most beautiful culture --- tea and wagashi. You will learn about the ingredient, techniques, and how they use simple colors or shapes to capture the essence of seasonal beauty. All ingredients were made from scratch by our lecturer.
The green wagashi with pink tip is the flower bulb of a pink peony, captured at the moment it is about to bloom. It's absolutely amazing to see how colors are created and the various tools you can use to create its shape.
I would go again if I can! It's so much fun and our translator is very professional and accommodating.
Dear Janice,
Thank you for your warm comments. We are really happy that you enjoyed our lesson class.
We are preparing a diploma course now. If it get completed, we will inform you of that.
We hope that we can meet again.
Thank you and best regards,
Mat-Cha-Doh (抹茶道)
Sato is friendly, fun and a great teacher. I picked the kariage chicken lesson, we cooked soba noodles, the chicken, a salad and a fresh miso soup. This was all made in his shinjuku Appartment.
It was a great evening with a few beers experiencing local food with a local who wants to share his favourite foods.
Pass on the numerous generic sushi lessons and take one of these courses. I have repeated a couple of the dishes since being back in London - they are great reminders of Tokyo.
Thanks Sato!
Thank you very much for your wonderful comments and reviews! You are so kind! I enjoyed cooking with you and I was surprised that you are already very good chef and know many things about Japanese food! Besides, I admired that you respect our culture so much. I'm so lucky to meet such a gentleman like you! Please come back to my class again and tell anyone who comes to Tokyo about my class! I can't wait to cook with you again! See you very soon!
Great dinner despite some minor issues.
The food was tasty, but one slice of sashimi I had smelled bad.
The last tofu dish was nothing like I've ever had, and it was very tasty.
But it felt quite repetitive and the flavor easily became monotonous.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour with Ryo. It is worth doing this tour because we learned about food from different parts of Japan and we went to small restaurants that serve amazing food that wouldn't know otherwise. Ryo was knowledgeable, polite, easy going and fu to be with. We really like him and the tour. Highly recommended, don't miss it!
Thank you very much for this review Shirley
This cooking class turned out to be more than we expected. Making the food was loads of fun and getting to eat whilst chatting with the hosts was great. We stayed and chatted way after the class was finished and leant so much about japanese culture and cooking. We will definitely go back again when we next go to Japan, Highly recommended.
Thank you very much for joining our event and good comment !! We did enjoy the time with you! We hope you enjoy cooking Okonomiyaki there! We really look forward t seeing you two!!
We had a great time with Wanaka making Udon noodles and origami. My 8 year old was very excited to make pikachu origami! We enjoyed stomping on the udon dough and we also picked up a couple of beautiful pairs of origami earrings Wanaka made herself. Highly recommend!
I used this for a surprise birthday party for a friend who loves cruising. From the time of booking, they listened carefully to our requests, and we were excited for the day to arrive. I revealed the surprise to my friend with a blindfold and headphones in front of the ship, and they were incredibly happy! (I apologize to the other customers who were waiting behind us.) The inside of the ship was retro and really cute! The private room was even better than I imagined. It was drizzling, but we were able to enjoy the scenery enough. Above all, I was impressed by the bartender's personalized service, not just following a manual. He was handsome too. I will definitely come back! Thank you so much! o(^▽^)o

Truly a unique experience with a so friendly host. We learned a lot and will hopefully be able to cook it at home as well :D Sato was the perfect host and we got to see and learn things that we never expected.
Strongly recommended!
Thank you very much for your wonderful review and comment! I can't thank you enough!I was so impressed that you guys respect Japanese culture and people a lot! Please come back to Tokyo again! And hope that you gonna cook with my recipe and entertain your friends and family at home! I've already missed cooking with you! See you very soon!
I really liked my lesson in udon making and origami and the good talk with Wakana sensei. It was easy going and fun and still I learnt a lot. Surely I will try to make udon noodles again in Germany.
It was a good way to enjoy a couple of hours in Tokyo in a good atmosphere. Thank you, sensei.
It was my first time participating. The taste and appearance of the meal were average. I felt like it wasn't really necessary. The night special viewing was beautiful, but you can enter by paying the participation fee at the entrance without a tour, so there’s no transportation provided, and I don't think I will participate again. It was smaller in scale than I expected. The service from the staff inside wasn't very good either. Once was enough for me.
The wagashi making experience was very enjoyable! We were able to create three different wagashis (two of each design) and enjoy them with green tea. The technique was the highlight of the experience, and definitely something that I will use when I return from vacation.
Dear Gianni,
We are glad that you enjoyed our tour. Hope you have healthy and happy life with Matcha and Japanese Sweets.
See you again next time.
Thank you and best regards,

I visited with international students. Some of them were not fond of sushi or raw fish, but they prepared vegetable toppings for us, and during the meal, they also served udon! It was a highly satisfying activity. Thank you, Teru! I hope you can do catering as well!
Dear Mirai,
I apologize for the delayed response. Thank you for your visit the other day! Everyone who participated in the experience initially had some anxious expressions, but by the end, they were all smiling, which made me very happy. The director was also in high spirits, and it turned into a fun class!

Well orhanised. Noce show, good food.great location
Thank you!
we had a great time at the dinner. Recommend to come in June as you will see fireflies if the weather is good. Food is great and the service is amazing. Very worthwhile!
I was able to realize something I had always wanted to do: enjoy riverbed dining in Kyoto. I was so excited to participate, especially with the presence of maiko. It takes about 30 minutes by car from downtown Kyoto. It's a bit far, but my anticipation was building.
When I took my seat, the dishes were already prepared. They were cute and incredibly delicious, and I found myself eating them eagerly. While enjoying the meal, the maiko appeared and performed a couple of dances! It was moving! You can also take photos with the maiko.
During my visit, it was the season for fireflies, so they turned off all the lights for a moment, plunging us into darkness. I was able to see a few fireflies in the distance! Since it was a summer night, there were a few bugs, but that's to be expected. Let's enjoy that as part of nature! Overall, I was truly satisfied! I definitely want to go again.
Everything was wonderful !
Teacher has good knowledge and nice .guide was nice as well.
We enjoy very good afternoon.
Thank you for participating in our tour the other day.
It was impressive that you worked on the making of Japanese sweet very eagerly.
We are very glad of it.
Thank you again. We hope see you soon!!
nice food, we got there early and they allowed us in early. no seafood though.
I had a great time with my kids (9 years old girl and 7 years old boy)
Chef explained how to make sushi in a fluent English following with the history of sushi.
We actually made many kinds of sushi and the course ended up eating our own sushi and prime wakyu sukiyski they served in individual boiling pot with yummy rice.
The restaurant itself is very nice clean and decent place to go.
My kids will never forget this fun experience.
For someone like me who loves sake, being able to drink as much as I want of it was a huge draw. Besides sake there were also fruit liquors (apple, peach, chestnut) which were a great palate freshener.
As it is a standing bar I was a bot worried about getting tired because I was wearing heels. But at each table they provided disposable slippers, which was awesome!
As you can bring in your own food, I recommend buying lots of your favorite snacks and yummy things to much while you try all the sake!!!
