This was my first time going down the Hozu River, even though I live in Kyoto. The boat was full, and most people were probably on a package with the train ride. My wife and I only did the Hozu River descent. The weather was great, perfect for a river ride. We enjoyed the usual entertaining commentary from the boatman, which made us laugh and have a wonderful time. I want to come back every year for this perfect river ride.

京都市内在住ながら初めての保津川下り。満員での乗船。ほとんどの人はトロッコとセットかな。私と家内は保津川下りのみ。天候も良く絶好の下り日和（？）でした。船頭さんのいつもの慣れた案内でひとしきり笑い、楽しく過ごさせていただきました。毎年来たいな。下り日和に。

On the day I participated, according to the boatman, the river's water level wasn't very high; he mentioned that it would be more enjoyable with a higher water level, but it was still a very fun experience. It was a graceful time spent moving close to the river's surface for a long duration. I participated around the beginning of the autumn leaves, but I would like to join again in a different season next time.

参加した日は、船頭さんによると川の水量がそこまで多くない、多いともっと楽しいということでしたが、それでもとっても楽しい経験でした。
長い時間を川面に近い目線で移動する優雅な時間でもありました。
紅葉の始まりくらいに参加しましたが、今度は季節を変えてまた参加したいです。

I was expecting the snowy Shirakawa-go, and to my surprise, we were blessed with a rare clear sky without a single cloud during this time of year. The sparkling diamond dust was impressive.

I learned that only a few authorized vehicles and the bus from this bus tour could access certain roads that regular cars couldn't, so I was glad I chose the bus tour.

The last stop was at a rice cracker shop (Sasara-ya), where the bulk rice crackers I purchased for home were delicious, so I ordered several online after returning.

This trip allowed me to reunite with a friend I hadn't seen in 30 years since our student days, and we were able to participate in the bus tour, experiencing a second school trip feeling. Thank you very much.

雪の白川郷を期待して行ったら、
この時期には珍しく雲ひとつない晴天に
恵まれました。
キラキラしたダイヤモンドダストが、印象的です。

一般車両は通れない道も、許可された一部の車両と
このバスツアーのバスのみだと伺い、バスツアーを
選んで良かったと思いました。

最後に立ち寄ったお煎餅屋さん(ささら屋さん)で
自宅用に購入したお徳用のお煎餅が美味しかったので、
帰ってからオンラインでいくつかまとめて注文しました。

今回、一緒に行った友人とは学生時代以来
30年ぶりの再会を金沢旅行を通して、
バスツアーにも参加でき、第二の修学旅行気分を
味わえました。

First of all, the guide was very friendly and created a great atmosphere, so I felt at ease throughout the tour. Both Shirakawa-go and Gokayama were covered in heavy snow, but the scenery was incredibly beautiful. I would like to invite my friends to join next time. Thank you very much.

I participated during a major cold wave. The snowy scenery was wonderful. Since it was a Saturday just after the Lunar New Year, most of the attendees were of Asian descent, and there were probably only a few Japanese people. I would like to visit again during the green season.

大寒波襲来中に参加しました。
雪景色が素晴らしかったです。
春節明け前の土曜日だったので、アジア系の方々がほとんどで、日本人は恐らく数人でした。
今度は緑の時期にお邪魔したいです。

I had always wanted to see the winter scenery of Shirakawa-go, and it was truly breathtaking! It was beautiful, the air was fresh, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The tour had about 50 participants, with more than 40 being international travelers, probably from Korea. Since I can speak some English, I was able to make friends with people from Korea and Vietnam, which became a wonderful memory for me. ^_^

ずっと見たかった冬の白川郷、本当に圧巻でした！
美しく、空気もキレイで、ゆったりとした時間でした。
ツアーは50人参加くらいで、40人以上が海外からの旅行者、おそらく韓国の方々かな？
僕はある程度英語がしゃべれるので、韓国やベトナムから来た方々と仲良くできたのも素敵な思い出となりました^_^

It was very worthwhile to visit the two World Heritage sites of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama in one day. Although it was the end of the year, we were blessed with good weather and were satisfied to see the scenery we wanted to see. The guide was very polite, and the appropriate distance made it very comfortable. The lunch was delicious. I would like to see Shirakawa-go in the summer next time.

白川郷と五箇山の二つの世界遺産を一日で回れてとてもお得感があります。年末だったのですが天気に恵まれ、見たかった景色を見ることができて満足でした。ガイドの方もとても丁寧で、適度な距離感でとても過ごしやすかったです。昼食のおいしかったです。今度は夏の白川郷も見てみたいと思いました。

私たちの元々の旅行は大雪のためキャンセルされました。幸運なことに、翌週の土曜日に予約を取ることができました。
旅行は組織されていて、日本人ガイドは熱心でした。一方で、英語のガイドは準備不足に感じました（自分の仕事が何か分かっていないようでした）。翻訳は雑で、時々情報が抜けていました。
ランチは美味しかったです :) （おかわりはプラスでした）
全体的に、素晴らしい旅行でした！

Our original trip was cancelled due to heavy snow. Luckily, we were able to make a reservation the following Saturday.
The trip was organized, and the Japanese guide was enthusiastic. The English guide, on the other side, felt unprepared (like she had no idea what her job was). The translation was sloppy, and information were left out from time to time.
The lunch was delicious :) (the okawari was a plus)
Overall, it was a wonderful trip!

I can't forget the Hida beef I had in Shirakawa-go during lunch! It was very delicious.

All the time was just right, with neither too much nor too little time—such a perfect schedule!

I highly recommend it!

The taxi driver was fluent in English and guided us through the famous sights of Kyoto. My foreign partner said they enjoyed learning various things about Kyoto thanks to the detailed explanations. We were also taken to a recommended delicious tonkatsu restaurant, so thank you very much!

英語堪能なタクシードライバーさんで京都の名所を案内してくれました。外国人のパートナーも丁寧な説明で京都を色々知れて楽しかったと言っていました。おすすめの美味しいとんかつ屋も案内して頂き、本当にありがとうございました！

On the bus ride there, the tour guide shared how to enjoy Shirakawa-go, and during our free time, we explored Shirakawa-go following her advice.

We drank the local sake doburoku, leisurely toured the gassho-zukuri buildings, and walked to the farthest edge of Shirakawa-go, which was cutting it close on time, but we had a very fulfilling experience.

When I visited, there was quite a bit of snow, but the snowy Shirakawa-go had a lot of charm, and I'm glad I went.

行きのバスの中で、バスガイドさんが白川郷の楽しみ方を教えてくださり、自由時間はそれに従って白川郷を散策しました。

白川郷の地酒どぶろくを飲み、合掌作りの建物内をゆっくり見学し、白川郷の1番端まで歩いていくと時間はギリギリでしたが、とても充実の時間を過ごせました。

私が行った時はかなり雪深かったですが、雪の白川郷もとても趣があり、行ってよかったです。

It was my first solo trip. During a two-day, one-night business trip to Nagoya, I decided to extend my stay a bit and signed up for a day trip to Shirakawa-go. Being able to see the scenery I had only seen on TV or in photos in person, as well as being able to explore inside the buildings, became a lifelong memory.

人生初の一人旅でした。
一泊２日の名古屋出張で　せっかくなら少し足を伸ばそうと　白川郷の日帰りツアーに申し込みました。TV越しや写真で見てきた風景を実際に見ることができ、また　建物の中の見学もできたことは一生の思い出になりました。

I received courteous service.
The guide on the bus was enjoyable, easy to understand, and very good.
It was a place I always wanted to visit, and I think it was great to leave it in their hands.
The tour conductor was very kind and cheerful.

Shirakawa-go covered in snow was beautiful, and the experience at the rice cracker shop was great. I was satisfied with everything, including the guide's information, explanations of the spots, and the sense of distance with the tour participants.

I'm not usually someone who writes reviews, but I had such a great time that I wanted to share my experience! My mother had been wanting to try river rafting for a while, so we booked this during our trip to Kyoto.

On the day of our adventure, we were blessed with beautiful weather, and despite it being winter, we enjoyed a warm day on the river for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. The guide's stories were entertaining, and the stunning views and thrilling rapids kept us laughing and cheering the whole time.

At one point, we got to try paddling in a calmer section of the river, but it was really challenging! Even though it was a short experience, my arms were sore from the effort! You could really feel the skill of the craftsmen.

The serene winter scenery was absolutely wonderful, but I definitely want to come back during the autumn foliage season next time.

かねてから母が川下りをしてみたいと言っていたので、京都旅行の際にこちらを予約しました。
当日は天候に恵まれ、真冬にもかかわらずぽかぽか陽気の中、約1時間40分の川下りとなりました。
船頭さんのお話もおもしろく、また、さすがの絶景・激流の連続で、終始歓声と笑いのたえない楽しい時間を過ごせました。
途中、流れのおだやかな箇所で船漕ぎ体験もさせてもらったのですが、とても難しい！短時間でしたが、腕が筋肉痛です笑 さすがの職人技を感じました。
冬の静謐な景色も大変すばらしかったですが、今度はぜひ、紅葉の季節に再訪したいです。

The guide in both Japanese and English was very helpful. The guide's personality was also great, and there were laughs throughout, making it a fun trip. The driving was smooth, and the bus ride was comfortable. I think it's very valuable for trips with limited time, as it allows for efficient touring.

日本語と英語の両言語でのガイドがとても助かった。
ガイドさんのお人柄も良く、随所に笑いもあり楽しい旅になった。
運転もスムーズでバスの乗り心地もよかった。
ツアーで効率良く回れ、時間が限られている旅では利用価値が高いと思う。

The vehicle had a malfunction, and I had to return home with the warning sound ringing in my ears. Rather than feeling anxious, it was just quite loud. I also stumbled on the step in the bus aisle and ended up with a bruise. It was disappointing that the vehicle was old.

車両に不具合があり、警告音が鳴る中での帰路となりました。不安というより、警告音が耳についてうるさかったです。バスの通路の段差につまづいて打撲もしました。車両が古いのは残念でした。

I was happy to take photos wearing a hat and holding a large sarubobo at the observation deck. I also enjoyed learning about the highlights of Shirakawa-go. Since it was a group trip, it couldn't be helped, but I wished we had a bit more time to stay. I would like to visit again during the fresh green season.

I visited Shirakawa-go for the first time in winter, right after a heavy snowfall. Just a few days before we participated, the tour was canceled due to the heavy snow. The roads to Shirakawa-go and Gokayama were covered in snow and in an icy condition, making it impossible to drive there by car. However, thanks to the bus tour, we were able to travel to Shirakawa-go and Gokayama safely. I was truly impressed by the driver's skills and am very grateful.

The snowy scenery of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama was truly wonderful. It was a sight that made me think, "I definitely want to come back next winter." Moreover, not just next winter, but I genuinely want to revisit in spring, summer, and even autumn... It was a journey that made me feel this way. My second-grade daughter also joined us, and she said, "I want to go again!" It's not an amusement park, zoo, or aquarium trip, but I believe it left a lasting impression on us. It was truly a wonderful journey. Thank you very much. I will definitely visit again!

始めて冬の白川郷、しかも、大雪の直後の白川郷に行きました。私たちが参加した数日前はツアーキャンセルとなるほどの大雪でした。白川郷、五箇山への道中も雪が降り積もり、アイスバーン状態の道路でした。とてもマイカーで行ける道中ではありません。しかし、バスツアーに参加させていただいたおかげで、安心して、白川郷、五箇山まで行くことができました。運転手さんの運転技術に脱帽、感謝です。
雪景色の白川郷、五箇山は本当に素晴らしかったです。「来年の冬のまた必ず帰ってきたい」と思える景色でした。また、来年の冬と言わずに、春になったら、いや、夏の季節も、そして、秋にも、、、と季節を変えて再訪したいと心から思える旅でした。小学2年生の娘も参加させていただきましたが、低学年の娘も、「また行きたい！」と言っています。遊園地でもない、動物園でも水族館でもない旅ですが心に残るものがあったのだと思います。本当にすばらしい旅でした。ありがとうございました。また、必ず、再訪させていただきます！

For lunch, not only was the Hida beef delicious, but the rice was surprisingly chewy and tasty!

Shirakawa-go covered in snow was very beautiful. The guide shared hidden spots that regular tourists don't visit and recommended local souvenirs, allowing us to enjoy the experience efficiently. The meals also let us savor local flavors, which was satisfying. I thought the free time might be too long, but it turned out to be just the right amount. I would recommend this to anyone traveling from Kanazawa to Shirakawa-go and Hida Takayama.

ガイドさんが一般の観光客は行かない穴場のスポットやおすすめの土産物などを教えて下さり、効率よく最高の楽しみ方ができました。食事も地元ならではの味覚を味わうことができて満足でした。
自由時間が長すぎるのではと思っていましたが実際はちょうど良い配分でした。
金沢から白川郷、飛騨高山に行かれる方にはお勧めしたいです。

Before arriving at the tourist destination, the tour guide clearly explained the sightseeing points, so we followed their guidance for our tour. We were able to explore efficiently without any wasted time.

観光地に着く前に、添乗員さんが観光ポイントを分かりやすく教えてくれたので、その通りに観光しました。無駄もなく、効率よく回ることができました。

Delicious food, beautiful scenery, and souvenirs.
Following the guide's instructions ensured everything went smoothly.
I met the best person who arranged everything to avoid inconveniences for the tour guests.

I wished there had been a warning for those speaking loudly on the bus. I couldn't hear the guide's announcements. Given the timing, I would have appreciated a reminder about keeping conversations to a minimum.

This was my first time visiting Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, and the explanations and guidance were very clear. The gassho-zukuri villages covered in pure white snow were incredibly beautiful, and I had a great time. My younger sister, who had just studied "traditional living" at school, kept saying, "It was fun and interesting."

The gassho-zukuri villages in winter were deeper in snow than I had imagined, and I really understood why they are referred to as "islands in the mountains." It was clear that the structures were built for winter as I walked through the village. I was amazed by the meticulousness of the attic spaces in the gassho-zukuri houses! The lunch was also very delicious, and I was able to have seconds, which made me very satisfied!

The last experience of making senbei was really warm and cozy. The timing for flipping them was a bit tricky, but the senbei I made myself was very tasty. I was also happy with the souvenirs!

白川郷も五箇山も初めてでしたが、解説&案内もわかりやすく、雪で真っ白の合掌造り集落がとても綺麗でとても楽しめました。学校で「昔の暮らし」を勉強したばかりの妹も「楽しかった面白かった」とずっと言っていました。

冬の合掌造り集落は、想像以上に雪深く、「陸の孤島」と言われた意味がよくわかりました。冬のためのつくりであることが、集落を歩いていてもよく分かりました。合掌造りの中は、屋根裏の部分の綿密さにびっくりしました！昼食もとても美味しく、ご飯もおかわりでき、大満足でした！

最後のせんべい焼き体験所はすごく暖かかったです笑
ひっくり返すタイミングはちょっと難しかったけど、自分で焼いたせんべい、とても美味しかったです。お土産も嬉しかったです！

I had a great experience. I think it might be a seasonal issue, but if I had to say something, the river rafting time was too long, lacking a sense of speed and excitement. If I get the chance, I would like to enjoy a different season.

時期の問題と思いますが、強いて言えば川下りの時間が長すぎスピード感もなく迫力不足、機会あれば違う季節を楽しんでみたいです。

It was a cold early December, but the weather was nice and warm. It got cold after sunset, but I warmed up by buying oden at a street vendor along the way. I had a great time throughout and would like to participate again in the summer!

12月上旬の寒い季節でしたか、天気が良く暖かく過ごせました。日が落ちてからは寒くなりましたが、途中の屋台売店でおでんを買って温まりました。終始楽しく、また夏にも参加したいと思います！

The guide and driver were both wonderful, and the conversations were enjoyable. Since they go to Shirakawa-go every day, they shared some hidden gems and delicious food recommendations. I had a really great time!

ガイドさんや運転手さんの人柄も良くて、お話も楽しく、毎日白川郷へ行っているからこその穴場情報やおいしい食べ物も教えてもらえて、本当に楽しかったです！

この素晴らしいボート体験にとても満足しています。その間、ボートのスタッフは私たちとおしゃべりをしてくれました。彼らは英語があまり得意ではありませんでしたが、一生懸命に景色を説明し、観光客と楽しい時間を過ごそうとしてくれました。ここを訪れることを強くお勧めします。

So happy with this amazing experience in boat, during the time, boat men chatted with us even though they didn't speak english well, but they try hard to explained view and made fun with tourists. I highly recommend to visit here.
