The meeting place was a bit hard to find, but…
We shared the ride with two other families.
Once on board, we had a wonderful time the whole way!

The captain kept making dad jokes,
the pleasant sea breeze during the cruise,
the emerald green of the Blue Grotto,
the magical sunset, etc...

It was surprising that the Blue Grotto looks more beautiful on cloudy days than in clear weather.

I've heard that during the morning and daytime, other companies' boats create traffic at the Blue Grotto, so I recommend the evening trips!

集合場所が少し分かりづらかったですが…
他2家族と同乗。
乗船してからはずーっと楽しい時間でした！

快晴よりも曇り空の方が青の洞窟が綺麗というのは意外でした

朝と日中は他社船で青の洞窟が渋滞するそうなので、夕方便はオススメです！

It was hot every day, but it was very cool on the water, almost chilly.
We encountered a pod of orcas.
We were able to see orcas multiple times.
The crew always navigated and guided us from the passengers' perspective.
The weather was great, making it a perfect memory.

At first, I was anxious, but the Italian captain was full of dad jokes and made it very enjoyable. Since it was early in the morning, the waves were calm, and the breeze felt wonderful. The beauty of the sea doesn't quite come across in photos, but I had a great time. I planned this during my spare time, and it was the most fun I had on my trip to Hokkaido.

始めは不安でしたが、イタリア人の船長さんはオヤジギャグ炸裂でとても楽しく、朝イチでしたので波もおだやかで風がとても気持ちよかったです。
写真ではあまりよさが伝わらないですが、海は美しくよい時を過ごせました。
余った時間で計画しましたが、北海道旅行で一番楽しかったです。

The foreign captain's stories are lively, and the time spent on the boat and the guidance along the way are enjoyable without getting boring. The Blue Cave is beautiful and mysterious. I think it's a perfect activity.

外国人船長の話も軽快で、船に乗る時間や途中の案内も飽きることなく楽しめます。
青の洞窟もきれいで神秘的です。
ちょうど良いアクティビティーと思います。

I was able to see several groups of orcas. I was thrilled to be able to watch them swimming alongside us. Next time I participate, I will make sure to prepare thoroughly for the cold.

I'm glad the Blue Cave looked properly blue. The speed of the motorboat during the transfer was fast, like a roller coaster, and all the passengers were excited.

青の洞窟がちゃんと青く見えて良かったです。移動のモーターボートのスピードが早くジェットコースターのようで、乗客の皆さん盛り上がってました。

It was a private tour for two, probably because we booked the last boat! The captain's puns were the best. Thank you for an experience that was worth more than the price!

最終便での予約だったためか、2人で貸切状態でのツアーでした!

At 8:50 AM, I took a bus from the terminal, which is a 3-minute walk from Dormy Inn Abashiri. I transferred to the Aurora boat at the port, which is connected to a roadside station, and cruised around the ice floes for about an hour, making five laps. After that, I took a bus to visit the Prison Museum for an hour. Then, I visited the Okhotsk Drift Ice Museum nearby and enjoyed some delicious soft serve ice cream. I moved to Abashiri city by bus for lunch (seafood rice bowl), but the seating was cramped, and the seafood rice bowl was just okay. I took another bus to JR Kitahama Station to view the drift ice from a sightseeing train. After that, I took a bus from Abashiri Station to explore the frigid Notoro Cape, returning to Abashiri at 4 PM.

It was a very packed day. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work.

Since it was the Lunar New Year, there were many gentlemen talking loudly and ladies coughing without masks.

朝8時50分、ドーミーイン網走から徒歩3分のバスターミナルで、バスに乗って、
道の駅併設の港からオーロラ号に乗り換えて、港周辺を１時間５周ほどグルグルと流氷の中を航行し、
またバスに乗って、監獄博物館を１時間見学し、
バスですぐ近くのオホーツク流氷館を見学＆美味しいソフトを食べて、
バスで網走市内に移動して昼食（海鮮丼）を食べて。（席が狭くて、海鮮丼もイマイチで・・）
またバスに乗ってJR北浜駅に行って、観光列車から流氷を眺めて、
網走駅からバスに乗って、極寒の能取岬を散策して、
網走に戻ったのが16時。

とっても盛り沢山な一日でした。スタッフの皆さん、ご苦労様でした。

春節だったので、大声で喋りまくる紳士や、マスク無しで咳をしまくる御婦人が多数いました。

The main attraction was the drift ice tour, but I was disappointed that I couldn't see it. However, thanks to the guide's entertaining stories and the driver's safe driving, I had a very enjoyable and memorable trip. Thank you very much.

流氷観光がメインでしたが観る事が出来ず残念でした。しかしガイドさんの楽しい話と運転手さんの安全運転のおかげで、とても楽しく思い出に残る旅が出来ました。ありがとうございました

I couldn't see the drift ice, but it was a great tour. The day was fulfilling. The guide's explanations were also good.

流氷には会えなかったけど、いいツアーでした。いちにち充実していました。ガイドさんの説明もよかったです。

My experience with the Abashiri sightseeing bus was very good, with the guide's explanations being clear and the course, including lunch, going smoothly without any issues. However, I was disappointed that the weather on that day was unusually warm across the country, and in Abashiri, the main attraction of drifting ice was flowing out to sea, which meant I couldn't have the experience I had hoped for.

I had been looking forward to this for a long time, but when I arrived, the abnormal warmth in February, which even the locals had never experienced, was surprising. I had prepared for temperatures around minus ten degrees on the Aurora ship, but with no wind and temperatures above ten degrees, I was relieved to be comfortable without my coat. Unfortunately, the crucial drifting ice had moved away, leaving only a small amount of ice floating around Abashiri.

What saved the day was the beautiful view of the snow-capped Shiretoko mountain range under clear skies. In the end, I believe the various attractions I visited in Abashiri were so good that they made me want to challenge myself to return again in the future.

　網走観光バスの体験は、ガイドさんの説明もよく、コースの先も昼食等何ら問題もなく、大変良かったと思っています。
　ただ、当日の気候は全国的に暖かくて、当該地の網走も気象観測値を更新する記録の中での本来の主目的であった流氷が沖に流れて期待以上の体験が出来なかったことが残念でならない。
人生の後短いものが、やっと念願のものが達成されると喜んでいたが、開いてみれば、異常気象で地元民も体験していないと言うくらいの２月の暖かさで、オーロラ号船上でマイナス１０度程度の気温を覚悟し防寒対策をして臨んだものの、風もなく10度以上の気温から上着を脱ぎ寒くなくて良かったと喜びもよそに、肝心の流氷は沖へ去り網走周囲には何もなく少しの氷が浮いている状況でした。
　救われたのは、晴天の遥かに知床連山の白い雪のかぶった山々がきれいに見えたことでした。
　最後に、網走で見学した各観光は年を置いて、再度挑戦する気持ちの起こる程に良かったと思います。

You can see the drift ice not only from the icebreaker but also from the train window, at the cape, inside the train, and from the rooftop. I think it's a very good tour.

流氷を見ることが出来るのは砕氷船からだけではないのです。車窓はもちろん、岬、電車内、屋上からとあちこちで見ることが出来ます。とても良いツアーだと思います。

The weather was perfect (except for lunch). The drift ice was in perfect condition, and the Shiretoko mountain range was clearly visible, which was very nice. However, about lunch... I had some hokke (a type of fish), but it was as cold as if it had just come straight out of the refrigerator. I didn't find it tasty at all. I can't recommend this place for individuals... I understand that it's challenging to accommodate a large number of people, but it was a bit disappointing... Everything else was perfect, so it's a shame.

天候にも恵まれ最高でした（除ランチ）。流氷は完璧な状態で、知床連山もくっきりと見えてとても良かったです。しかしランチはなんでしょうね…ホッケを食べさせてもらいましたが、冷蔵庫からそのまま出したような冷たさ。全く美味を感じませんでした。個人で行くにもおすすめできるお店ではありませんね…多くの人数の対応なので大変なのはわかりますが、ちょっと酷かったですね…これ以外は完璧だったのに残念です。

It was a very fulfilling tour that allowed us to cover so many activities in just one day. Above all, the guide's thoughtfulness was wonderful, as they apologized multiple times for the cancellation of the Aurora. Although the cancellation was disappointing, the sight of the drifting ice that I saw for the first time was amazing! Perhaps due to the Spring Festival, there were surprisingly many foreigners.

これだけの工程を1日で回れてとても内容の濃いツアーでした。何よりガイドさんのお気遣いが素晴らしく、オーロラ号が欠航になった事を何度も謝っておられました。欠航になったのはショックでしたが、初めて見る流氷の景色は最高でした！春節の影響でか？思いのほか外国人が多かったです。

Unfortunately, the Aurora was canceled due to strong winds, but we were able to see drifting ice in various places, and the scenery was more beautiful than I imagined. It was an emotional experience that you can only have by being there, and I’m glad I did. I also learned about the history of Abashiri City, which really changed my perspective on Hokkaido.

残念ながら、オーロラ号は強風でキャンセルになりましたが、色々な場所で流氷が見られ、想像以上に美しい風景ですした。現地に来ないと体験できない感動で、良かったです。網走市の歴史も知ることができ、とても北海道の見方が変わりました。

The guide's chatter was interesting, and they taught us about history and points of interest in a fun way. The driver also made sure to drive slowly when there were deer, ensuring safety despite the snowy roads. Thank you for that.

One hour at Abashiri Prison was definitely not enough, but the time allocation for the other activities was just right.

I would like to participate again.

ガイドさんのおしゃべりが面白くて、歴史や見所など楽しく教えて頂きました。運転手さんは鹿がいた時は徐行運転をしてくれるなど、雪道に関わらず安全運動をありがとうございました。
網走監獄は一時間では、とても時間が足りませんでしたが、その他の時間配分はちょうど良かったです。
また参加したいです。

All the places we went are worth visiting, and the weather was great, so the view was breathtaking.

But I feel I need to come back again another time, as the time length for Abashiri Prison Museum and Cape Notoro was way too short. The group size is big.

It was a shame that the tour didn’t allow us to watch the sunset at Cape Notoro; instead, we were stuck on the bus during the golden hour, going back to Abashiri Station.

Besides, when it came to lunch selection, there were only two choices, and I clearly pointed out the fish set menu to the guide, as the other choice contained raw fish that I don’t eat. I don’t know how the guide could even get it wrong. Luckily, there was a very nice girl who was willing to switch with me. But it was still annoying, as the guide's reaction made me feel like I was the dumb one who couldn’t even remember what I’d ordered.

The tour was fun! It felt like an attraction and was interesting!
The cave was quite beautiful!
And... seasickness... haha.

At the end of September, I went on a cruise on a day with not much whitecaps. Early on, we encountered many dolphins swimming, and during the approximately two-hour cruise, we saw three sperm whales. One of them was quite close to us. We also spotted a beaked whale swimming in the distance. I had a 0-year-old baby with me, but we participated using a baby carrier, and the baby slept the entire time during the cruise. There were two guides and one driver, making a total of three staff members, which made us feel safe while on board.

9月末、あまり白波も少ない天気の日に乗りました。
序盤よりたくさんのイシイルカ達が泳いでいるところに遭遇し、その後約2時間程度のクルーズで3頭のマッコウクジラを見れました。そのうち一頭はかなり至近距離で見ることができました。
また、遠くにツチクジラが泳いでいるのも見えました。
0歳の子連れでしたが、抱っこ紐で参加し、クルーズ中はずっと寝ていました。
ガイドさんが2名、運転士さんが1名で計3名のスタッフがいることにより安心して乗船できました。

It was a cloudy sky, but I was able to see a very beautiful crystal blue. The captain was also in high spirits, and it was a lot of fun.

曇り空でしたがとても美しいクリスタルブルーを観ることができました。船長さんもノリノリで楽しかったです。

I traveled from Abashiri, but on the Rausu side, it was foggy and rainy, and even though it was summer, it was very cold on the boat. It was quite difficult to encounter whales. I could see splashes in the distance. I would have been happy if I could have seen them a bit closer. For a beginner photographer, capturing whales and dolphins was challenging. The crew members were very polite!

網走から向かいましたが、羅臼側は霧と雨で夏なのに、船上ではとっても寒かったです。
なかなかクジラに出逢うのも難しかったですね。遠くの方で飛沫を上げてるのが見えました。もう少し近くで見えたら嬉しかったなぁ。
カメラ初心者にはクジラ、イルカの撮影は難しかったです。
船員の皆さんはとても丁寧でした！

The waves were high when we went out to sea, and I got seasick... It’s a good idea to take medicine beforehand; I managed to hold on somehow, haha.

The Blue Cave was mystical and beautiful. It was a sight that’s hard to see, and I’m glad I got to experience it.

I got my shoes and clothes a bit dirty from someone on the same tour, and my hat was thrown away... I was really disappointed. Since we were both traveling with family, I didn’t say anything to avoid creating a bad atmosphere, but even though it was a natural occurrence, I wished they had been a bit more considerate as a person.

Because of this, it turned out to be a rather awkward tour.

やはり海に出ると波が高く、酔いました…。
事前に薬を飲んでいくと良いですね、私はなんとか持ちこたえました　笑

青の洞窟は神秘的で良かったです。なかなかみられない光景で、見れて良かったと思います。

同じツアーの方に靴と服を少しですが汚され、帽子は、捨ててもらいました…、げんなりです。
旅行中で、お互い家族連れでもあり、空気が悪くなると嫌なのでこちらからは何もいいませんでしたが、自然現象とは言え、人としてもう少し気遣いをして欲しかったです。

こんなこともあり、微妙なツアーとなりました。

Since it's a covered cruiser, you can avoid UV rays. The captain entertains everyone with a fast-paced explanation mixed with jokes. However, the boat sways from side to side, and it feels like it's flying through the air—it's truly an attraction. It's great for those who want to experience thrills, but those who prefer a safe ride should reconsider. The wait time to enter the Blue Cave was long due to the busy season, but it was beautifully visible.

屋根ありクルーザーなので、紫外線は避けられる。
早口でジョーダン交えた船長の説明で皆を楽しませる。が一転、船を左右に揺さぶられたり、船が空中を走ったりとまさにアトラクションである。スリルを味わいたい人はよいが、安全運転を望む人はやめた方が良い。
青の洞窟へ入るための待ち時間は繁忙期だったので長かったが、キレイに見えた。

It was an incredibly enjoyable and wonderful experience that far exceeded my expectations! Unlike the Blue Grotto in Italy, which is relaxing from start to finish, the boat ride to the Blue Grotto here was thrilling like an attraction. I was able to enjoy both the mystical "stillness" inside the Blue Grotto and the "movement" of the attraction at the same time, which was fantastic. I will definitely sign up again when I visit Hokkaido!

予想を遥かに超えて楽しくとても素敵な体験が出来ました！イタリアの青の洞窟が最初から最後までのんびりになのに対して、こちらは青の洞窟に着くまでの船上がアトラクションのようなスリルがあって、青の洞窟の中の神秘的な『静』とアトラクションの『動』2種類が同時に楽しめて最高でした。
また北海道に行く際には申し込みします。

The captain is an interesting foreigner! The scenery is truly wonderful. It was a great experience! I can't say anything else. Why is fifty characters necessary?

船長は面白い外国人です！景色も本当に素晴らしい。いい体験になりました！他はなにも言えません。なぜ五十字で必要でしょうか。。。。。。。。。。

Private charter for two♡
The waves were too high, making the boat bounce, which added quite a thrill. The captain was a foreigner who spoke Japanese exceptionally well and even made jokes. He was handsome too. It might have been difficult to steer due to the high waves, but we managed to have a safe cruise experience for about an hour without falling off. I ended up with muscle soreness the next day from using muscles I don't usually engage (laughs). If I go again, I think I'll choose the handsome captain's tour. Please let me take some photos next time!

2人切りの貸切♡
波高すぎて、ボートが跳ねるので結構なスリリング感。
日本語が物凄く達者な外人さんの船長さん。ジョークもいいます。イケメンさんです。波高かったので、操縦難しかったかもですが、落ちる事なく、無事1hほどのクルーズ体験出来ました。日頃使わない筋肉の緊張などで翌日は筋肉痛です（笑）また行くことあったらイケメン船長さんのツアーにしょうと思います。今度はお写真撮らせてください

I used it for the first time with eight colleagues from work, and the cruising with the captain making unique puns was the best!
