What surprised me on the bus was that, including the two of us, there were about five people, and aside from the Japanese, everyone else was of Chinese descent. The guide's announcements on the bus were mostly in Chinese, so I couldn't understand anything at all (laughs). Later, they came to us, the minority Japanese, and gave a brief explanation before moving on. It was a strange bus tour experience.

I was also looking forward to the scenery of Shirakawa-go covered in snow, but it started to rain instead... I ended up having to buy a plastic umbrella at the shop (laughs). Since it's natural weather, I can't really complain about that...

乗ったバスで驚いたのは、私達2名を含め5名ほどが日本人の他は全部中華系の外国人。ガイドの方の車内アナウンサーも殆んど中国語で何言ってるのか全く分からず(笑)後で我々少数派の日本人の所へ来て簡単な説明だけしておしまい。奇妙なバスツアー体験でした。
また雪で覆われた白川郷の景色を期待していたのですが、なんと雨が降ってきて…
まさかの売店でビニール傘を買う羽目に(笑)
自然の天候なので、これに関しては誰にも文句は言えませんけどね…

I visited Shirakawa-go for the first time. In the afternoon, I leisurely explored the streets lined with gassho-zukuri houses, and at night, I was able to enjoy the illuminated snowy landscape from the observation deck, captivated by its enchanting beauty.

Drinking sweet sake on such a cold day was an exceptional experience. The weather was also favorable that day, and the transportation was smooth, which was truly wonderful. I am sincerely grateful to the tour guide for providing detailed instructions. Thank you very much!

初めて白川郷を訪れました。午後は合掌造りの街並みをのびのびと散策し、夜には展望台からライトアップされた雪景色を眺めることができ、その幻想的な美しさに心を奪われました。

このような寒い日に飲む甘酒は、格別な体験でした。当日は天候にも恵まれ、交通もスムーズで本当に良かったです。添乗員さんも細かく注意事項を伝えてくださり、心から感謝しています。ありがとうございました！

It was great to have the atmosphere I wanted. The weather was very nice, making it the best experience. I hope they increase the shuttle buses to the observation deck.

The long-awaited Shirakawa-go light-up was very good. The weather was warm that day, and there was no snow on the roofs, which was a bit different from what I had imagined, but it was a fantastical world. I was also surprised by the beauty of the stars. The bus tour was on time, and I think we returned a little earlier than expected. It was a fun day!

The weather was also favorable, and I was able to fully enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Shirakawa-go! The soba was delicious, and with the taxi guide, I was able to tour smoothly.

It was very good.

The weather was relatively favorable, but I was extremely satisfied to see two different sides of Shirakawa-go: the bright, snowy landscape during the day and the beautifully illuminated village after sunset.

Above all, the view of Shirakawa-go from the observation deck was truly stunning, unlike the scenery I had seen while walking around nearby. It was so beautiful that it felt like something straight out of a brochure. Climbing up the snowy path in the dark was quite a struggle, but it was worth it.

比較的天候にも恵まれた事もありますが、
明るい中の雪の白川郷、陽が暮れてからのライトアップされた里と２つの異なる白川郷を見られて大満足です。
何と言っても展望台からの俯瞰で見た白川郷は
散策して近場で観ていた景色とは異なり、本当にパンフレットそのままの現実とは思えない美しさでした。暗い中雪道を登るのには結構苦労しましたが、その甲斐がありました。

The tour had about 90% foreign participants, but everyone showed great respect for Japanese culture and had good manners, so I had no concerns. (Participants were from Australia, Italy, the United States, Singapore, etc.) For children, this environment provided a valuable experience.

The guide explained in Japanese first, followed by English, and I was amazed by the variety of topics covered, from geography and history I studied in school to interesting trivia.

Winter in Shirakawa-go can be tricky with the weather, so I think it's best to have an umbrella and snow boots (rubber boots) regardless of the forecast. Children will also have fun playing in the snow if they have ski gloves!

Additionally, the viewpoint in Shirakawa-go can be accessed by walking or by bus, but the buses only come every 20 minutes and are small, so if other tours overlap, you might have to wait for the next bus due to congestion. I think it's better to go early once you arrive.

On the bus, we received a sightseeing map of Shirakawa-go and Takayama (in Japanese or English), which allowed us to explore efficiently in a short amount of time.

If anyone is interested in Shirakawa-go, I would highly recommend it, and I hope to visit again in a different season. Thank you for your assistance!

外国人が9割のツアーですが、みんな日本文化にリスペクトがある方ばかりでマナーも良く心配な点はありませんでした。（オーストラリア、イタリア、アメリカ、シンガポールなど）子どもにとってはその環境も貴重な体験になりました。
ガイドさんが日本語→英語の順に説明をしてくれて、内容も学生時代に勉強した地理や歴史から雑学的なものまでトピックの引き出しの多さに驚きました。
冬の白川郷は天気が難しく、予報にかかわらず、傘とスノーブーツ（長靴）はあった方がいいと思いました。お子様はスキー用の手袋があると雪遊びもできて楽しいです！
また、白川郷の展望台は徒歩かバスで行くのですが、バスは20分おきでしかも小さいバスなので、他のツアーの方などが重なると混雑で次のバスを見送らなくてはならない状況になりました。到着したら早めに行くのがいいと思いました。
バスの中では、白川郷と高山の観光マップ（日本語or英語）がもらえて、短時間で効率よく散策できました。
白川郷に興味がある方がいたら、おすすめしたいですし、また別のシーズンに再訪できたらいいなと思います。お世話になりありがとうございました。

I joined a tour to see the night illumination in Shirakawa-go. On the day of the tour, there was snowfall, and it was very beautiful. There was a bus to take us to a high point where we could see the entire village, but it wasn't too difficult to walk up there. While the snow made everything look stunning, it was also quite cold. There was a place to warm up and take a break next to the large bus parking lot, but we weren't given any information about it, so we spent our time hopping between souvenir shops. As the time to leave approached, I discovered that there was a waiting room at a bus stop a little further away. I'm not sure if there were restrictions on using the waiting area or if it was just not mentioned because it was a bit far away. In any case, it was cold.

白川郷の夜のライトアップが見たくて、ツアーに参加しました。当日は積雪があり、とてもきれいでした。郷が一望できる高台に行くためのバスもありましたが、徒歩で登ってもそれほど大変ではなかったです。積雪で美しかったですが、寒かったです。暖をとって休憩するような場所は大きなバス駐車場に隣接してありましたが、私たちにはその案内がなかったため、お土産屋さんの梯子をして過ごしました。帰る時間が迫ってから、少し離れた場所にある、バス停待合室があることを発見しました。待合場所を利用するための制限があったのか、または少し離れていたために案内がなかったのか、詳細は不明です。ともかく寒かったです。

The guidance was concise and easy to understand. It would have been nice to have a few more recommended spots. One-third of the participants were Japanese, and two-thirds were foreigners. Everyone was respectful of the rules, making it a comfortable experience.

I received a text message one hour before our morning meeting, which made me feel relieved. It took about 70 minutes from Kanazawa to Shirakawa-go. Although it was said to be the most crowded ever, thanks to our driver, Mr. Higashi's quick thinking and arrangements, we were able to enter the village smoothly. After being guided, we walked for about 20 minutes towards the observation deck. I was surprised by the sheer number of foreign tourists, but we were able to secure a place to eat and enjoyed delicious soba and Hida beef bowl (we had to wait for an hour due to the crowd).

On our way to Gokayama, we stopped by the important cultural property "Iwase House," where we received unexpected and generous hospitality from the head of the household and his wife, who showcased the board-sawing instrument despite the cold. Although we went over our scheduled time, we were finally dropped off at Higashichaya District, and my family of four had a meaningful and enjoyable time. I am truly grateful to Mr. Higashi from Fuji Taxi. If I had rented a car myself, I would have been stuck in traffic and would have faced a nightmare. The experience was worth more than the price. I highly recommend it!

当日朝集合1時間前にショートメールが届いてやりとりでき安心しました。金沢から70分程度一路白川郷へ。史上最高の激混みとのことでしたが、運転手の東さんの機転と計らいでスムーズに入村、アテンドしていただき、徒歩で約20分、展望台を目指しました。あまりにも外国人観光客の多さに驚きましたが、食事の場所も確保していただき美味しいお蕎麦と飛騨牛丼（混雑で1時間待ちましたが）をいただきました。その後五箇山へ向かう途中に重要文化財「岩瀬家」に立ち寄り、寒い中、当主ご夫妻に板ささらの楽器をご披露いただくなど思いがけない手厚いおもてなしを受け感動しました。予定の時間をオーバーしてしまいましたが、最後は東茶屋町まで送っていただき、家族4人、有意義な楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。富士タクシーの東さんに心から感謝しています。もし自分でレンタカーしていたら渋滞に巻き込まれ地獄を見るところでした。お値段を上回る価値がありました。本当に超おすすめです！

The participation rate of foreigners is about 90%, but there were no issues at all as they explained everything politely in both Japanese and English. I was able to learn information that I wouldn't have known through individual actions, and there were also things that could only be done as a group, so I was able to spend a meaningful time.

外国の方の参加率が90%程度と多いですが、日本語、英語で丁寧に説明して下さるので全く問題なしでした。
個人行動では知り得ない情報を教えて頂け、また団体でないと出来ない事もあるので、有意義な時間を過ごす事が出来ました。

Last year, I drove from Hiroshima to Shirakawa-go via Matsumoto, but I almost got stuck in a huge traffic jam and had to give up, which made me sad. After two years, I finally got to enjoy my long-awaited Shirakawa-go, and I was so happy.

去年、広島から車で松本経由で白川郷に向かいましたが、あと一歩で大渋滞にはまり、断念し悲しい思いをしていました。２年越しでやっと念願の白川郷を堪能出来、幸せでした。

Despite the rain, we were able to explore the two World Heritage sites of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. Since my parents, who joined me, are elderly, they got tired from walking in the rain, so we were able to take a break on the bus earlier than planned, which was a great help. There were many participants from overseas, and the explanations on the bus were given in both Japanese and English, which also helped me with my English studies. The lunch was delicious, and it was a satisfying tour overall. The guide and the driver were both very pleasant, and it seemed that my parents had a great time as well.

雨の中の観光でしたが、白川郷と五箇山の二つの世界遺産を散策することができました。
一緒に行った両親は高齢だったため、雨の中の散策で疲れたので、早めにバスの中で休憩させていただき、大変助かりました。
海外から参加されている方も多く、バスの中での説明は日本語と英語で行われ、私自身、英語の勉強にもなりました。
昼食も美味しくいただくことができ、満足できるツアーでした。
ガイドの方をはじめ、運転手の方もとても感じがよく、両親も楽しく過ごせたようでした。

I thought the price was a bit high, but the tour was enjoyable. It was a little disappointing that many shops in Shirakawa-go were closed on Thursday. I think it would have been nice to hear more guidance and stories from the tour guide, even if it was just for those who wanted it. It became a good memory. Thank you very much.

We had two hours of free time in both Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go, but it felt a bit tight. Given the travel time, it might have been unavoidable, but I think having two and a half hours would have given us a little more leeway. Most of the tour participants were foreign tourists, and the tour guide was also from China (I found it a bit difficult to understand their Japanese). We were blessed with good weather, and it turned out to be a great trip. Thank you very much.

飛騨高山、白川郷それぞれ二時間の自由時間でしたが、ややタイトでした。
移動時間の関係で仕方がないのかもしれませんが、2時間半あれば少し余裕があったかなと思いました。
殆どが外国人のツアー客で、添乗員さんも中国の方でした。（日本語が少し聞き取りづらかったです）

Unfortunately, the weather was rainy, so we couldn't relax, but the scenery of the gassho-zukuri in Shirakawa-go was beautiful. Above all, I was surprised that most of the tourists were foreigners.

あいにくの雨模様の天気で、ゆったりとは、いきませんでしたが、白川郷の合掌造りの景色は、良かったです。
なにより、ほとんどの観光客が外人だらけで、びっくりでした。

Eighty percent of the participants on the bus tour were tourists from overseas, and the guide spoke both English and Japanese. I was worried about time management, but there were no issues at all, and we had a great time on the bus. The guide explained various things very well in both languages.

Shirakawa-go: There were reports of bear sightings, but when we visited, the bus was running as usual, and we could also walk to the observation deck. If you're confident in your walking abilities, I highly recommend taking a walk. The village was unfortunately crowded with tourists, and I couldn't help but wonder if the residents were inconvenienced by it. Although general vehicles are not allowed, I think they should charge an entrance fee to the village. The "Shiso Monaka" recommended by the guide was incredibly delicious!

Hida Takayama: There were many unique items such as sake, miso, soy sauce, woodworking crafts, and furniture. This place also attracts a lot of Asian tourists.

For lunch, all participants of the bus tour ate together in Shirakawa-go. The seating was assigned, creating a relaxed atmosphere where solo travelers could easily chat with other participants. Additionally, it was possible to converse in English with foreign participants.

バスツアーの80％が海外からの観光客で、ガイドは英語と日本語でした。時間のルーズさなどを心配しましたが、そのようなことは全くなく車内でも楽しい時間を過ごせました。ガイドさんは２か国語で色んなことをとても上手に説明してくれます。

白川郷：クマ出没の件がありましたが、私達が行った時はバスも通常運行な上、徒歩でも展望台に行けました。足に自信がある方はぜひ歩きがお勧めです。村の中は気の毒なくらい観光客がわらわらしており、住民の方々の暮らしは不便ではないのかと気になってしょうがなかったです。一般車は入れないようになっているものの、村への入場料を取るべきじゃないでしょうか。
ガイドさんにお勧めされた【紫蘇もなか】がとても美味しまったです！

飛騨高山：酒、味噌、醤油、木工細工、家具など珍しい物がたくさんありました。ここもアジア系の観光客がたくさん来ています。

お昼ご飯は白川郷でバスツアーの参加者全員で食べました。席が決まっており、1人旅の方も他の参加者と気軽に話せる雰囲気でした。また外国人の参加者と英語で話すこともできます。

The tour itself was good, but the tour guide was clearly coughing from a cold on the bus without wearing a mask. A few days later, I developed cold symptoms and couldn't enjoy my trip.

ツアー自体は良かったのですが、添乗員がバス内で明らかに風邪で咳き込んでいるのにマスクなしでした。　私は数日後から風邪の症状が現れ楽しい旅行ができませんでした。

I went on my first trip to the Hokuriku region. The stories from our bus guide, Mr. Goto, were interesting, and the height of the surrounding mountains along with the autumn leaves were breathtaking.

The food in Shirakawa-go, especially the sweet grilled ayu (sweetfish), was delicious, and even I, who have many dislikes, was able to enjoy everything.

If I have another opportunity, I would like to see Shirakawa-go during a different season as well.

バスガイドの後藤さんの話も面白く、周りの山の高さと紅葉が圧巻でした。

白川郷のご飯は鮎の甘露煮が美味しく、好き嫌いが多い私も全部いただけました。

またの機会があれば別の時期の白川郷も見てみたいです。

I participated in the tour on November 13th. Since my daughter, who lives overseas, was with me, there was an English-speaking guide, which made the tour even more enjoyable. The guide's explanations were very clear, and they also used a number board to show the meeting times, which helped us remember visually. Overall, the tour was very well organized. The free time for exploring Shirakawa-go and Takayama was just right. And above all, the lunch, especially the Hida beef, was incredibly delicious! If anyone is considering this tour, I highly recommend it.

11/13のツアーに参加しました。海外に住む娘も一緒でしたので、英語の通訳ガイドの方もいらっしゃり、よりツアーが楽しめました。ガイドさんのお話、説明もとてもわかりやすく、また集合時間も数字のボードを使って見せてくださったので目でも覚えられて、全体的にとてもオーガナイズされていました。白川郷、高山での自由散策の時間もちょうど良かったです。そして何より飛騨牛を始めとしたランチがとても美味しかったです！

Inbound tour mainly for Chinese tourists
There were also a few Japanese participants.
The guide was fluent in Japanese.

Due to a road closure from an accident, we couldn't go to the main Shirakawa-go.
Instead, we went to Gujo Hachiman.
No one complained about the cancellation of Shirakawa-go; everyone quietly listened to the explanation, so I felt that all the participants were reasonable people.
The bus company and the guide did everything they could, so while it was disappointing not to visit Shirakawa-go, I was pleased with the experience.
People often say that foreigners lack manners, but everyone was very well-mannered.

道路が事故で封鎖になりメインの白川郷には行けませんでした。
代わりに郡上八幡に行きました。
白川郷中止に誰一人、文句言わず静かに説明聞いていたので参加者は皆、常識人だなと
バス会社、ガイドさんも出来る限りのことはしてくれたので白川郷は残念ですが嬉しく思いました。
世間では外国人のマナーが・・・

The explanations were polite and precise, allowing us to enjoy all the sights without missing anything. The guide was truly wonderful, recommending great places to eat.

The bus seats were spacious, allowing us to enjoy the trip without getting tired. The tour guide communicated the necessary information clearly without talking too much, which was great. It would have been better if lunch had a bit more volume; perhaps they were expecting us to snack while walking around?

The course was two hours in Takayama and two hours in Shirakawa-go. It was a good decision to have lunch in Takayama as per the guide's explanation, and we were on schedule. The autumn leaves were just beginning to change, and I could feel the season. In Shirakawa-go, I experienced the quiet lifestyle of the snow country from long ago. It was unfortunate that the Wada House, a national cultural asset, was closing early and we couldn't go inside. The bus was comfortable, the guide provided clear explanations, and everyone else on board was quiet, making for an enjoyable time.

高山２時間、白川郷２時間のコースでした。
時間通りの日程で、ガイドさんからの説明どおり高山で昼食をとり正解でした。紅葉になり始めており、秋を感じました。白川郷では、騒音のない雪国の昔からの暮らしを感じ取れました。国の文化財の和田家が、早く閉館する日で中に入れず残念でした。
バスも快適、ガイドさんからも分かりやすい説明があり、また同乗の他の方々もみなさん静かで、楽しいひとときでした。

The humorous explanations from the tour guide were incredibly enjoyable. Shirakawa-go had nice weather. The Kanda family house was not crowded, but it was definitely worth seeing. The inbound visitors were captivated by the rice harvesting with the combine. We were able to capture great scenes with the remaining rice stalks and the trees starting to turn red.

On the other hand, it started to rain in Ainokura, but at Yusuke, we could vividly imagine the silk farming from that time. Additionally, the washi paper-making experience was a great memory for the family from Germany who were also delighted.

　白川郷はいい天気。神田家は空いていたけど見ごたえ十分。
　インバウンドの皆さんはコンバインでの稲刈りの様子に見入っていました。稲穂が残っているところ、赤く色づいてきた木など、良いシーンが撮れました。
　一転、相倉は雨になってしまいましたが、勇助では当時の養蚕業の様子を具体的にイメージできました。また、和紙漉き体験はドイツから来た親子も喜んでいていい記念になりました。
　

I was able to see the festival in Hida Takayama, and Shirakawa-go had great weather, making it the best day ever. When we gathered in the morning, there were mostly foreigners and only four Japanese people, which made me a bit anxious. However, our guide KAKU was very attentive and communicated in Japanese, which was great. He also recommended shops and food, allowing us to move around efficiently. However, the two hours of free time felt a bit short, and I wished I could have enjoyed sightseeing a little longer.

飛騨高山のお祭りも見られて、白川郷もお天気が良くて最高の一日でした。
朝集合した時、外国人の方達ばかりで日本人は4人のみで、不安でしたガイドのKAKUさんが丁寧に日本語で対応してくださりとても良かったです。お勧めのお店や食べ物も教えて頂き、効率よく回れました。
ただ自由行動の2時間はちょっと短く、もう少しゆっくり観光したかったです。

The crew's response was wonderful. Their broken Japanese was amusing and nice. Their smiles were impressive and left a good impression.

This was my first time participating in the tour, and I really enjoyed it. The weather improved compared to the forecast, making it great for a walk.
