When we met a sea turtle, we were allowed to observe it closely for as long as we wanted, making the slow passage of time very precious.

Not only did we get to see the sea turtles, but we also enjoyed looking at corals and tropical fish at our leisure. This location is shallow and relatively small, so we felt no anxiety and it was very comfortable.

Our youngest had never gone snorkeling before, but they had no problems and enjoyed it thoroughly. During the transitions, the tour guide pulled us along, allowing us to safely watch the sea turtles. The explanations from the tour guide were clear and helpful.

Additionally, they focused on helping our family take natural photos with the sea turtles. Thanks to them, we got some wonderful pictures. The two hours flew by.

The guide was very skilled at storytelling. They explained things with humor and had a wealth of knowledge, making the three hours fly by. They carefully observed the forest while explaining and leading us, providing a sense of security without making us overly anxious in tense situations. I felt they were a trustworthy guide, which made the tour enjoyable until the end.

I would love to participate in the tour again when I visit Shiretoko next time; I’m really glad I joined this one. I traveled around Hokkaido and visited various places, but this tour left a particularly strong impression on me. Thank you for the wonderful memories of my trip.

During the trekking, I experienced all kinds of weather (including a thunderstorm!) and was able to meet Jomon Sugi safely. The size is overwhelming in a way that photos and videos can't convey! Although my body was exhausted, it was a day filled with an indescribable sense of fulfillment. I had a wonderful trekking experience, bonding with the guide and the other participants while supporting each other. The guide's explanations at key points added even more satisfaction to the trek. I was grateful for the shuttle service to the accommodation and the direct bus to the trailhead!

Since I was able to see the sea turtle, I was allowed to return after about half the scheduled time. 海に入り簡単なレクチャーを受けてすぐに出発。思っていたよりはすぐにウミガメに会えました(海に入り15分位)。人間に慣れているのかゆっくり見られます。近付いても来てくれます。担当のコメッチさんは元気で気さくな配慮のある人で良かったです。私はシュノーケリングで海酔いした経験もあるので不安でしたが「大丈夫。ダメそうだったら途中で陸まで送り届けます」と言ってくれて出発。ウミガメに会えたので予定の半分位の時間で私だけ引き返させてもらいました。陸まで送り届けてもらい「お子さん、ちゃんと見ますね」と言ってくれ、とてもありがたかったです。親切な対応でとても良い思い出になりました。
(今回は新城海岸の朝市のツアーでしたが駐車場がとても混んでいます。私は朝市なので停められましたが。早目の行動が必須です。)
