The tour itself was fine but most people going from Naha have to be ready to waste 2-3 hours picking up people in other areas before actually going to the attractions. (Same with going back home)

The bus driver was rude af and racist towards the foreigners.

At first I thought the guide was fine but then oops nope changed my mind. In the aquarium it was very windy and we had to stop 3 times in random places outside the building to hear her explanation in Japanese so its like wasting 20-30 minutes while having yourself blown by the strong wind.

And when she distributed the ticket, she called in all of the Japanese passengers first by their names and after all the Japanese have their tickets. She gestured to all the foreigners to come to her and get the tickets by ourselves. Which is very rude and racist.

The tour says it will provide english, chinese and korean guides throughout the whole day but none. Only some random english tapes are played and the guide talks in Japanese a lot throughout the day.

And mind you 60% of the people who joined are foreigners and only 20% speaks English. I genuinely feel sorry for the Chinese and Korean who comes to the tour thinking it will provide them with some guides but no.

Also the bus driver, he makes noises from inside the bus every 5 minutes before the departure time at each spot as if reminding us to hurry up. And he talks to the tourguide keep blaming how the "foreigners" are slow blablabla probably thinking "foreigners" don't understand Japanese.

The bus driver is very racist and rude also the whole tour is just okay.

Went by another company the next day and was surprised at how interactive the guide was plus it was 100 times wayyy better.

The walking time feels just right for moving around thoroughly. While you can't cover everything if you're drinking doburoku and eating mitarashi dango, it seems just enough to keep things interesting. Shirakawa-go has a touristy vibe, while Gokayama has a strong sense of community, making them a perfect pair to visit together. The viewpoints in Gokayama don't require too much effort, so it's just right to soak in the village atmosphere. Senbei is perfect for the cold winter, but it might be tough on hot days!

散策時間は、がっつり動き回ってちょうどという感じ。どぶろく飲んだり、みたらし団子食べたりしてると全体は回れませんが、飽きない程度でちょうどよいのかな〜と思います。

I was worried about not being able to drive, but I had a fulfilling day on the bus tour! I was able to take a nice long nap on the bus too! I had to leave the tour partway due to hotel arrangements, but the bus guide and driver were very kind, and a taxi arrived quickly, so I was able to get to the hotel right away! It was truly the best. I recommend spending a day relaxing on the bus too!

First of all, please note that this tour is not a single package; it's a combination of different tours! The island sightseeing is one tour, and it feels like it’s attached to that. There is a setup for Taketomi Island, but you go there individually. Of course, there is no guide. That's something to keep in mind.

The island sightseeing covers all the places you should visit. However, as others have mentioned, it’s really rushed!! There’s hardly any time. To make matters worse, when I went, one person was left behind!! They left while I was in the restroom! The guide apologized, but said, "You need to keep to the schedule." Isn’t that terrible?? I thought it was their mistake for not checking.

The lunch at Auntie Popo's was fairly good. However, it was disappointing that there was no explanation of the menu.

I thought we could explore Taketomi Island more thoroughly, but it wasn’t that great. The water buffalo sightseeing felt somewhat superficial? It seemed like they were just trying to make us laugh and sing. It might be fun if you go with family, but maybe the vibe was off??

Since we had some time, we walked to Kondoi Beach and the star sand area. A bicycle would be great for that!! I wanted to spend time relaxing on the beach. Even though the weather was bad, it was refreshing, so I think it would be amazing if it were sunny.

Trekking in Yakushima was my first experience, but the guide was very attentive, explaining various things and skillfully incorporating breaks. I thought an 11-hour trek might be too much for me since I'm over 60, but thanks to the guide, I was able to complete it safely! I believe it's better to join a tour since going alone would be quite challenging.

I stayed in Kanazawa for two nights, so I participated in this tour for one day. Half of the participants were foreigners.

In Shirakawa-go, I enjoyed the snow, and the tour guide informed us that we could use the hot spring at the lunch hotel, so I took a bath. The temperature was just right, and the water was soft, which warmed my chilled body and added an extra layer of enjoyment.

Although I participated alone, I was able to use two seats on the bus, allowing me to relax comfortably. I think it was great since it's not easy to go alone.

It was a multilingual tour that was almost full, but there were only four Japanese participants. We joined as a pair, but everyone was quite quiet, and I didn't realize there were other Japanese participants until the end. There were unavoidable delays due to icy road conditions. It was disappointing that the lunch was cold, even the rice. I regretted skipping the hot spring because I was worried about getting cold, but it turned out to be a good decision. I ended up catching a fever after the trip due to fatigue from the cold.

I was able to travel to Shirakawa-go on a budget for a solo trip. I had been there once in November on a group tour, and there was no snow at that time. I don't get many opportunities to go, but I wanted to see the snowy scenery again, so I went on my own. I was surprised to see so many foreigners. Unfortunately, the snow was piled up along the roadside and looked a bit dirty. I would like to go again during the heavy snowfall in January or February.

I rode a water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island and then enjoyed some free exploration. Everything on the island, from the buildings and roads to the flowers and water buffalo carts, was beautiful, allowing me to fully enjoy the tropical atmosphere. Very good service from Japan Gray Line; a customer service representative was at the meeting point (hotel) to welcome and to get us on the bus.
The tour is very good and really highlights what to see and to do in Tokyo, leading to exploring on own more areas in the following days, should time allows. The guides provide good explanation of the areas toured, and would go the extra mile to satisfy the customer beyond the basic service of the tour, to include attending to personal requests from the customer.
Overall good job, making a day we very much enjoyed.

The cycling option on Taketomi Island wasn't bad, but the hills were quite tough. Depending on the day's temperature, I think those who usually ride electric bikes should consider paying the extra fee to rent one. I was sweating a lot!

I participated in the tour on the afternoon I arrived in Ishigaki Island. I was able to efficiently visit the highlights of Ishigaki Island. The guide was easy to understand, and I think it was a great tour for the first day. It’s all a matter of luck, but I believe it would have been an even more wonderful day if the weather had been better.

I cruised upstream along the Nakama River in Iriomote Island, enjoying the refreshing breeze through the mangrove forest. Next, I took a water buffalo cart to Yubu Island. While gently swaying, I listened to island songs and felt relaxed. On the island, I explored freely, spending time picking up shells and coral on the beach where manta rays could be seen, and watching butterflies resting on beautiful flowers. Although it was just half a day, I had a fulfilling time.
