It was my second time snorkeling in my life and my first time in Japan, but thanks to Ryoma's precise explanations and the "photo time," I was able to relax and fully enjoy the experience. And to my surprise, we encountered a sea turtle! The moment when everyone gathered and swam together at the shout of "Turtle!!" from a participant is something I will never forget.

After enjoying the underwater experience, we moved on to stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) for the first time. We started with learning how to paddle, but Ryoma kept the atmosphere lively with humor, and before I knew it, I was able to try standing up and even challenging poses! Spending time on the board while feeling the waves and wind was incredibly relaxing and wonderful.

The experience was so fulfilling that it felt like much more than just a morning activity, and I was able to spend a very meaningful time without any rush.

Even though it was a last-minute reservation, I was able to not just "see" the sea of Miyako Island, but to "feel it with my body," and it truly became the best memory!

We started the shoot around 10 PM!

En este caso, la actividad se realizó en una playa de la ciudad en la que no había demasiado que ver en cuanto a veces, y los corales tampoco eran demasiado bonitos. En cuanto a la parte del kayak fue un paseo agradable con nuestro instructor Hiro, pero igualmente, eché en falta más información sobre la fauna de la zona, y el poder, haber avisado más especies.

The mangrove cruise passed by in no time, making me forget the passage of time. The water buffalo worked hard to pull the cart to Yubu Island, and they were very clever and diligent. The island was full of plants and connected to the beach, allowing us to have a fun time.

I was disappointed with the buffet for lunch, but the oil soba I tried without expectations was incredibly delicious—was it the magic of shikwasa?

The only downside was the rental bicycles on Taketomi Island; while I could tolerate the worn and rusty ones, the handlebars were crooked, making it very difficult to ride after not cycling for a while.

There were no announcements at the waiting area, so we almost missed the boat. I wonder if there were others who missed it too.

This was actually my second guided tour to Jomon Sugi. When I brought my parents here before, due to their age, we only made it partway along the trolley path and had to turn back, which left me with a sense of regret. So this time, I brought a senior colleague along for a revenge tour.

Since I had only experienced up to the trolley path, the trail beyond was unknown to me, and it was quite a steep mountain path (I'm a beginner at climbing). If I had slipped, it wouldn't have just been a serious injury; it felt like I could have ended up in the afterlife. Finally meeting the long-desired Jomon Sugi was an overwhelming moment.

However, as the saying goes, "Going is easy, coming back is scary." The descent was tough on my knees and thighs, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to hold my ground at times. Despite all that, I was relieved when the other members of our group returned safely without any major injuries. We were also fortunate with the weather.

One thing I definitely realized is that beginners should absolutely go with a guide. I thought the walking pace on the trolley path was quite fast, and we ended up returning around 4:30 PM. Without a guide, I think it would be hard to manage the pacing. They also teach you tips for walking on mountain paths, which is reassuring.

Since we had to pay attention to our footing, I couldn't really take in the surroundings while trekking, but at key points, the guide provided explanations and took photos. It was amusing how, by the end, our unknown group felt like a school field trip. Thank you, Watanabe-san, for guiding us! It became the best memory!

実はガイド付きの縄文杉ツアー2回目です。ただ以前両親連れてきた時は、高齢なのもあってトロッコ道の終わりの方まで行って途中で断念していまして、それがとても心残りだったこともあり、今回は会社の先輩を連れてリベンジツアーです。
トロッコ道までしか経験ないのでその先が未知でしたが、もうすごい山道でした笑(登山未経験者)
普通に足踏み外したら大怪我どころか、あの世行ってもおかしくない道をひたすら登って何とか念願の縄文杉と対面できた時は感無量でした。
でもよく言う、行きはよいよい帰りはこわいって言いますが、帰りの下りの山道が膝と前ももに着実にダメージ蓄積するので、途中踏ん張りが効かなそうで怖かったです。
そんなこんなで、同じグループになったメンバーも、大きな怪我なく無事に帰れた時はほっとしました。天候にも恵まれたのも良かったです。

行ってみて確実に思ったのは、初心者は絶対ガイドと一緒に行った方がいいです。
トロッコ道の歩くペース結構早いと思いましたが、それでも帰りが16時半くらいにはなったので、ガイドなしだとペース配分が分からないと思います。山道を歩くコツとかも教えてくれますし、何より心強いです😁
足元を注意しながらの移動なので、あまり周りをじっくり見ながらトレッキングとはいきませんでしたが、要所要所で説明や、写真撮影も挟んでくれて、何より見ず知らずのグループが最終的に学校の遠足みたいな雰囲気になってたのが面白かったです。
ガイドしてくれた渡邉さん、引率してくれてありがとうございました！最高の思い出になりました🥰

The snorkeling and mangrove SAP tour on Balas Island was unexpectedly changed to canyoning and a mangrove canoe tour due to bad weather. I didn't know what canyoning was, but I chose it because it seemed more active than the water buffalo tour. In the end, it was a great decision! It was truly an extraordinary experience.
