I'm not very good at swimming, but the staff was nearby, which made me feel safe while swimming! I'm also grateful for the photos and videos they took. I definitely want to go again. Thank you!

I was taken care of by a polite and kind person. 😊 You can go hands-free since everything is provided for you, so there's no need to worry. They explained the precautions thoroughly, and even when underwater, they were close by, which made me feel safe while diving. I got to see many sea turtles that day, which was amazing! I participated in a night tour and mangrove SUP at Pipi, as well as a tour of Yubu Island!! ✨ Our guide, Ryusei, was kind and funny, providing detailed information about Iriomote Island along the way, which was really enlightening—there's so much you wouldn't know unless you join the tour! I'm really glad I did it! ♡

The night tour was amazing with so many creatures to see, and it had a completely different atmosphere compared to Iriomote Island during the day! (*^^*) I was super excited to see animals like coconut crabs, habu snakes, fireflies, and owls, which I’ve never seen on the mainland! (*^^*)

The next day's SUP was also wonderful, surrounded by impressive mangroves that felt like something out of a Studio Ghibli film. Ryusei kindly taught us how to paddle, so I was able to fully enjoy the mangroves while having fun on the SUP! ♡

Riding a water buffalo to cross to Yubu Island was thrilling, and seeing the plants and butterflies on Yubu Island was the best!

Even though I met the other participants for the first time, we all had a great time together, which is the charm of travel tours, right? ♡ It was so much fun!!! Thank you for the two wonderful days! ♡

After getting off the glass-bottom boat, we took a bus to the center of the island. We quickly received guidance for the water buffalo cart and boarded it. Although it wasn't a long time, it was a true Taketomi Island experience.

The biggest challenge was descending 22 km in 10 hours by 5 PM! I tried to book with several tour companies, but due to being 74 years old, I repeatedly canceled because of comments like "the guide might have to wait for you at some point" and suggestions for custom tours. However, during my final search, I found a "chartered bus from the hotel to the trailhead," and they kindly listened to my concerns about my age, allowing me to participate. (I secretly thought that since it was a chartered bus, it might be flexible if my descent was a bit delayed...) On March 17, at 4:20 AM, a large shuttle bus arrived at the bus stop in front of the hotel. (I realized that with this large bus, my personal requests would be impossible! I just have to do my best!) We arrived at the Arakawa trailhead in about an hour. The guide introduced the tour members, but it was dark, so I couldn't see well. After turning on my flashlight and having breakfast and warm-up exercises, we departed around 6 AM. It was still dimly lit before dawn. I followed the guide along the trolley path with my flashlight on. Our guide, Shimazu, was friendly and gentle. About 30 minutes in, dawn began to break, and I desperately walked while gazing at the misty scenery of Yakushima, including the iron bridge and Aiko Mountain. The key to walking, I learned, is to walk like a ghost, relaxed and without exerting too much effort.

We took our first break by the side of the path after passing Kosugidani lodge. Here, I witnessed a "mysterious walking style" that allowed someone to complete 100 famous mountains in 48 days. A young man in his 30s, who was friendly with the guide, joined us. Fortunately, he offered to carry my luggage. I became lighter and was able to walk much faster by mimicking the relaxed walking style I had learned. The trolley path to the entrance of the Okubo trail, about 8.5 km, felt quite long. After a restroom break, we entered the steep ascent. Unlike the trolley path, it was rugged. However, I was moved by the ancient and oddly shaped Yakusugi trees we encountered one after another. Trekking while listening to explanations and experiences was enjoyable. The highlight was the Wilson stump, a heart shape glowing in light green towards the sky. We all took a commemorative photo with the heart shape. We walked slowly without resting during the steep ascents and descents, balancing on one foot while walking. I was taught repeatedly how to walk without putting weight below my pelvis. Finally, I faced the Jomon Sugi, my long-held dream. I was able to take my time and enjoy the view from two or three observation points, leaving me extremely satisfied. This experience became a precious lifelong memory, blessed with the kindness and encouragement of our guide Shimazu, the young man who carried my luggage until the end, good weather, and various strokes of luck. Thanks to Shimazu's walking techniques, we enjoyed river play and were able to descend together as a tour group around 4:30 PM. Through our shared desire to "meet the Jomon Sugi," I felt deeply the beauty of human connections, as we encouraged each other with the same goal. It was a truly wonderful experience. 最大のネックは10時間22kmを5時までに下山！数件のツアー会社の予約を試みたが74歳の高齢のため「ガイドさんに途中で待ってもらうこともあるかも」等のダメ押しやカスタマーツアーガイドの提案等でキャンセルを繰り返し諦めていた縄文杉ツアー。最終の検索で「ホテルから登山口までバス貸し切り」を見つけ、高齢であること他こちらの希望を快く聞いて頂き参加に至る。（内心バス貸し切りのため下山が少し遅れても融通が利くかも・・・）という甘い思いもあったのだが・・・3月17日当日4時20分ホテル前のバス通りに大型送迎バスが来た。(この大型バスでは個人の希望は無理だろう！頑張るのみだ！）と気づく。荒川登山口に1時間位で到着。ガイドさんからツアーメンバーの紹介があったが暗くてよく分からない。懐中電灯をつけて朝食、準備体操後6時頃出発。まだ夜が明けやらぬ薄暗さ。懐中電灯をつけてトロッコ道をガイドさんの後ろについて歩く。気さくで温和な優しい島津ガイドさん。30分位で夜が明け始め朝もやの屋久島の鉄橋、愛子岳等周りの景色に目を凝らしながら必死で歩く。歩き方は、力を入れないで脱力で幽霊のように歩くことがコツだそうだ。
小杉谷宿舎を越えた道脇で第1回目の休憩。ここでは、百名山を48日で達成したと言う”斜めに走るような不思議な歩き方”を見せてもらった。ツアーメンバ
ーでガイドさんと懇意の30代の若者が同行。幸いなことに、その方が私の荷物を持ってくださることになった。私は身軽になり教えてもらった脱力の歩き方を真似て驚くほどスピードを増して歩くことができるようになった。大株歩道入口までのトロッコ道約8、5㎞はかなり長い。トイレ休息後本格的な登り道。トロッコ道と違って険しい。けれども次々と出会う太古で奇形な屋久杉達に感動。解説や体験談を聞きながらのトレッキングは楽しい。極めつけはウイルソン株。空に向かって輝く黄緑のハート形。ハート型を天にツアーみんなで記念撮影。急な登りや下りは休まずゆっくり歩く。浮いた片足を休ませながら歩行する。骨盤よりも下に体重をかけない。などの歩き方を繰り返し伝授し手助をして頂く。ついに憧れの縄文杉と対面。2，3か所の見学ポイントからゆっくりじっくりと対面することができ大大満足。ツアーガイドさんの島津さん、荷物を最後まで持って頂いた好青年、ツアーメンバーの優しさと励まし、好天、様々な幸運に恵まれた貴重な一生の思い出となる体験でした。島津ガイドの歩き方魔術で、川遊びも楽しみ4時半頃には登山口にツアーメンバーそろって下山できました。「縄文杉に会いたい」という同じ願いを通して人と人の出会い、同じ目的を持った者同士、声を掛け合う姿。”人間っていいな"を深く感じた体験になりました。本当に有難うございました。

It was my first time trying SUP, but I was able to operate it safely by following the guide's instructions. As I got better at it, the fun increased, and standing up on the SUP allowed me to see a different view. It was also enjoyable to change my posture on the board, sitting down to take a break when I got tired. SUP offers a higher vantage point than kayaking, making it easier to see underwater and feel the wind, which was a great new experience. Practicing SUP for the first time in a windless mangrove cove was ideal.

We took our lunch break individually, but the guide provided various information about restaurants, and shared little tidbits about the island during our drives in the morning and afternoon, so we never got bored while moving around.

During the snorkeling in the afternoon, the guide paid close attention to the conditions and depth of the water while walking in the sea, which seemed to reassure those who were not confident swimmers or were a bit scared of the ocean. The highlights of the cave exploration, explanations of stalactites, fossils, and crystals were clear, and the guide also carefully explained the snorkeling equipment and precautions, allowing the itinerary to proceed smoothly and making for an enjoyable snorkeling experience. 洞窟散策での見どころ、鍾乳石や化石、水晶の説明などもわかりやすく、シュノーケリングの装備品や注意点についても丁寧に説明してくれたので、行程がスムーズに進み、楽しいシュノーケリングになりました。
天気も良かったので海の中も綺麗に見え、いろんな種類の魚も見られて言うことなしです。

アクティビティが楽しいこともさることながら、行程の要所要所でガイドさんが写真を撮ってくれるので、水遊びのアクティビティの時にどうしても写真が撮れなかったり、自分のカメラの故障などを心配をすることもなく、遊びに集中することができました。
この写真サービスの良さはツアーが終わってから改めてしみじみと感じました。
撮れた写真もその日のうちに送ってくれたのでそれにも驚きました。仕事が速い！

I received my ticket at the check-in counter, then boarded the ferry by myself, took a shuttle bus on the island, and enjoyed a long free time during the tour. Since there were other tour groups as well, I was initially a bit anxious about making it back on time (the return times varied slightly depending on the tour company). However, at key points, the staff confirmed our names and provided precise instructions tailored to each tour, allowing me to relax and enjoy the experience. Of course, I returned safely on my tour's boat.

During the water buffalo cart ride, I spent the entire time looking at the buffalo's rear, but there was a surprise at the end where we could take a photo together, which made for a great keepsake. I was also able to learn a lot about the island from the guide, and even though my stay was short, I feel like I got to know the island more deeply.

During the free time, I was able to move at my own pace, which was also very nice. This tour allows you to experience the best of both organized tours and independent travel, so I highly recommend it.

また自由時間には、のんびりと自分のペースで行動でき、それもとてもよかったです。

Paddling through the mangrove-filled river on a stand-up paddleboard was a lot of fun. The weather was great, and the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees was beautiful. The gentleman took many photos for us, and every picture turned out beautifully, leaving us very satisfied. Interacting with the water buffalo named Rui on Yufujima, being able to take photos, and enjoying delicious gelato were all wonderful experiences, making for a very enjoyable day. Although the weather was unfortunately rainy and windy, the view of Kabira Bay was surprisingly good despite the bad weather. It was disappointing that the glass-bottom boat was not operating. The guide provided detailed explanations both on the bus and at the sites.

In the second half, we went to Taketomi Island with a different tour company, and there was no guide, so we took the ferry on our own. We started with a water buffalo tour and then had free time. We visited the pier and Kondoi Beach. The rain had stopped, but the scenery was not great. The weather can't be helped.

I think it's a cost-effective tour that allows you to efficiently visit two islands in one day.

前半は石垣島観光。石垣島をほぼ一周、名所を見てまわることができました。雨が降ったりやんだり、風が強かったりと生憎のお天気でしたが、川平湾の景色は悪天候のわりには良かったです。グラスボートが運休で残念でした。
ガイドさんはバスの中でも現地でも詳しく説明してくれました。
後半の竹富島はツアー会社が別で、ガイドもつかず各自でフェリーに乗って渡りました。最初に水牛観光をしてその後は自由行動。桟橋やコンドイビーチを訪れました。雨は止んでいましたが景色はイマイチ。天気は仕方ないですね。
一日で効率よく２島を観光でき、コスパのよいツアーだと思います。

I participated on the morning of March 10. The weather was wonderful, and it was very nice. It was a fun hike with a variety of experiences, such as crossing rivers and bridges, walking along mountain paths, and enjoying wooden walkways. The guide was an enjoyable person with remarkable stamina for someone in their 70s. As we drove up into the mountains, it felt significantly colder when we arrived at the starting point compared to when we left the hotel. It would be good to have a neck guard and gloves. The round trip took about three and a half hours. We took a break of about 20 minutes at the final destination, the mossy forest, and the Yakushima tankan we received was sweet and very delicious. There were announcements for restrooms at the starting point of the hike and along the way back.

川や橋を渡ったり、山道を歩いたり、木の遊歩道もあったりと変化に富んだ楽しい山歩きでした。
ガイドは70代と思えぬ健脚のお話が楽しい方でした。
車で山の中を登るので、スタート地点に着くとホテルを出た時よりかなり寒く感じました。ネックガード手袋があるといいです。
往復3時間半くらい。最終地苔むす森では20分ほど休憩します。頂いた屋久島たんかんが甘くてとても美味しかったです。
トイレは登山口のスタート地点と帰路の途中で声かけがありました。

This experience took place in bad weather. Canoeing in the rain was enjoyable, especially since we were among the mangroves where the rain didn't bother us at all! It was very disappointing that we couldn't land on Barasu Island due to the bad weather, but the cave exploration in such challenging conditions was thrilling, and I'm glad I participated. I also visited a tourist limestone cave in Ishigaki, but it was completely different from this experience. If you're coming to Iriomote, I highly recommend immersing yourself in nature. The guide was very kind and constantly checked on us throughout the experience. I would love to participate again when I come back to Iriomote.

今回は悪天候の中の体験でした。雨の中のカヌーでしたがマングローブの中だと雨も気にならずに十分楽しめました！悪天候のためバラス島に上陸出来なかったのはとても残念でしたが、それでも足元が悪い中の洞窟探検はスリル満点で参加して良かったです。観光用の鍾乳洞も石垣島で行きましたがそれとは全然別物でした。せっかく西表に来たなら自然いっぱいの体験をおすすめします。始終声をかけてくださりガイドさんもとても優しかったです。また西表に来た時は参加したいなと思います。

On the third day of my four-day trip to Miyako Island, I signed up for a tour. Since the start of the trip, we had been experiencing cloudy weather, and our sightseeing on the island was limited to driving and visiting the underwater park. I went into the second night feeling a bit blue. However, I thought the leisure activities planned for the third day would be enjoyable even in cloudy weather, so I went to sleep with that in mind.

On the third day, I arrived at the meeting point, where a friendly-looking young man greeted us, despite the rain forecast.

We started with stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The instructions were clear, and I had a great time paddleboarding in the ocean for the first time. The water was incredibly beautiful! The transparent water beneath the SUP was something I could never see in Honshu. As we crossed the bridge at Imugya Marine Garden and headed out to the open sea, we were met with rough waves, unlike the calm bay. I paddled hard against the wind and waves, and we took many photos in the open sea. When I looked up at one point, I saw the sun, which I hadn't seen in a long time. It was the first blue sky and sunshine of the trip, and my excitement soared.

We then moved to a different location for snorkeling. When we arrived at Shigira Beach, it was as if the previous two days had been a lie, with beautiful weather. Even though it was March, it felt like a tropical paradise. After a thorough explanation from the instructor, we quickly began snorkeling. As soon as I entered the water, I could see fish and coral. With the sunlight shining down, the ocean was stunningly beautiful. It felt like I was inside an aquarium. I was constantly amazed by the sheer number of fish. I felt embarrassed for thinking that I wouldn't see many fish while snorkeling and that diving might have been better. The two-hour session flew by, and I was very satisfied.

Later, I received the photos taken during the leisure activities. They were fantastic, with great locations and angles. The tour was very satisfying, from the explanations to the activities. I definitely want to repeat this experience when I travel to Miyako Island again.

三泊四日での宮古島旅行の三日目にツアーを申込みました。旅行始まって以来曇り空が続き、島での観光もドライブや海中公園観光ぐらいしかできませんでした。少しブルーな気持ちで二日目の夜を迎えました。三日目のレジャーは曇りでも楽しめそうな内容だと思って眠りにつきました。
そして迎えた三日目。雨の予報の中集合場所に行くと感じの良さそうなお兄さんが出迎えてくれました。
まずサップから始まりました。わかりやすいレクチャーがありはじめての海でのサップもとても楽しめました。なんと言っても海が綺麗！サップの下に見える透明な水は決して本州では見ることのできないものでした。イムギャーマリンガーデンの橋を越えていざ外の海に行くとそこでは湾の中とは違い荒々しい波が待ち受けていました。風や波に煽られながらも必死にサップを漕ぎました。外海では何枚も写真を撮ってもらいました。そんな中ふと空を見上げるとそこには久しく見ていなかった太陽がありました。この旅行始まって以来の青空と太陽。テンションの上昇は果てがありませんでした。
場所を移して今度はシュノーケリングをしました。シギラビーチについた時には今までの二日間が嘘だったかのような晴天でした。3月なのにもうそこは常夏の楽園と化していました。お姉さんの丁寧な説明の後すぐにシュノーケリングが始まりました。海に入るとすぐに魚や珊瑚が見えました。太陽の光もあり海はとても綺麗でした。まるで自分が水族館の中にいるかのように感じました。あまりの魚の多さにずっと驚きっぱなしでした。シュノーケリング程度では魚なんか見れないだろうしダイビングの方がよかったかなと思っていた自分が恥ずかしかったです。約2時間の行程でしたがあっという間に終わってしまいました。とても満足でした。
後日レジャー中の写真を送って頂きました。ロケーションもアングルも最高の写真たちでした。説明からレジャーからとても満足のツアーでした。また宮古島に旅行する時には是非リピートしたいと思いました。

In the morning, I experienced SUP at Imugya Marine Garden. It was my first time doing SUP, but the instructor taught me carefully, and I was able to paddle while enjoying the beautiful sea. I did fall into the water once while paddling standing up, but that became a good memory (laughs). In the afternoon, I went snorkeling at Shigira Beach. I was confused because the wetsuit size was too small, but they exchanged it for the right size. About a year ago, I participated in a tour for pumpkin caves and sea turtle snorkeling. Since I enjoyed it last time, I decided to join again this time.

We gathered at Shinjo Beach at 9:00 and first did the sea turtle snorkeling. The sea was very beautiful, and I was able to see many fish. We quickly encountered sea turtles as well. Swimming alongside them and seeing them up close was a memorable experience. We finished around 11:00, had lunch, and then regrouped at another beach at 13:00 for the afternoon activities.

In the afternoon, we tried stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). At first, I was scared and worried if I could do it, but I gradually got used to it and was able to paddle while standing, which was great. Even someone like me, who doesn't have good balance, was able to stand, so I think anyone can do SUP if they get the hang of it! We enjoyed it until around 15:00.

They took many photos during both the sea turtle snorkeling and SUP. It was a memorable tour. I will definitely participate again when I visit Miyako Island.

9:00に新城海岸に集合し、まずはウミガメシュノーケリングをやりました。海がとてもきれいで魚もたくさん見ることができました。またウミガメにもすぐに会うことができました。ウミガメと一緒に泳ぐことができ、間近で見ることができて思い出に残りました。11:00頃に終了し、昼食を取って、午後は13:00に別の海岸に再集合しました。午後はSUPの体験をしました。はじめは怖くてできるかなと不安でしたが、少しずつ慣れていき、立って漕ぐことができてよかったです。バランス感覚がない私でも立つことができたので、SUPはコツをつかんで慣れれば誰でもできると思います！15時頃まで楽しみました。
ウミガメシュノーケリングもSUPもたくさん写真を撮って下さいました。思い出に残るツアーでした。また宮古島を訪れた際には参加させていただきます。

I participated in the sea turtle snorkeling and SUP tour. It was my first time in Miyako Island, and I'm glad I joined this tour. The weather was cloudy and the wind was very strong, which worried me before participating, but the sea was incredibly beautiful and it became a wonderful memory.

For the SUP, the instructor was very thorough in teaching each step, and even though it was my first time, I was able to enjoy it. They took a lot of photos for us.

During snorkeling, I was lucky enough to encounter three sea turtles! I was deeply moved to see them eating and coming up to the surface for air. The clownfish that were friendly with the instructor left a strong impression on me; they were so cute. The instructor also took many photos during snorkeling, and looking back at them now makes me feel so happy!

It became a lifelong memory. I think this tour is perfect for enjoying the sea of Miyako Island.

I have used this service before, and this was my second time. The guide was very kind, and I felt safe and enjoyed myself.

Although the weather was not favorable this time, I was able to see several sea turtles on both occasions, and I was very happy to have taken many photos.

Even though we did SUP in the rain, I was able to spend a relaxing time in the waters of Miyako Island.

If you visit this island, you must enjoy the marine activities! It's wonderful to have a plan where you can spend the whole day having fun. I would like to use this service again next time.

以前も利用させて頂きまして、今回は2度目でした。ガイドさんがとても親切で、安心して楽しめました。
今回は天候に恵まれない中でしたが、ウミガメは2回とも何匹も見ることができましたし、写真も何枚も撮って頂き大変嬉しかったです。
SUPも雨の中でしたが、宮古島の海でゆったりとした時間を過ごさせて頂きました。

The weather wasn't very good, but I was able to see several sea turtles and fish, which made me very satisfied! They also took a lot of photos, creating great memories. Due to the weather not being very good, the snorkeling was canceled, but I was very satisfied with just the SUP! During the tour, they also provided explanations about the plants, which allowed us to enjoy the scenery even more! Usually, I tend to get too caught up in taking photos, but since they took many pictures during the tour, I was able to focus on the SUP and the scenery, creating wonderful memories. If there’s another opportunity, I would love to try snorkeling next time as well.
