Normally, we would receive a notification by 5 PM the day before regarding whether the tour would take place. However, at that time, it wasn't raining yet, and since there was a forecast for bad weather the next day, it was decided that we would go to the Arakawa trailhead and make a decision at 5 AM on the day of the tour.

At 5 AM, it was still just a light rain, so we proceeded with the trek. We started our trekking already wearing rain gear from the beginning. However, the rain intensified as predicted, and by the time we reached Jomon Sugi around noon, it was pouring. There were numerous instances of thunder rumbling in the distance.

Despite this, our guide was very considerate, setting up a tent in the rain so we could have lunch comfortably and even making instant miso soup for us. Everyone quickly finished their lunch and silently walked back the way we came. Even with a rain cover on my backpack, water got inside, my shoes were soaked, and my pants were drenched. But I was glad we went ahead with the trek.

I heard from a staff member at the hotel shop that there were customers who had their trekking plans canceled due to rain in the weather forecast the day before, only to find the weather clear on the day of their tour. So, I felt fortunate that our tour was held, and we were able to go and return safely.

Trekking in Yakushima, known for its rain with 35 rainy days in a month, became a wonderful memory and a great story to share. Thank you to our guide and all the fellow tour members for your support.

本来なら、前日の17時に、ツアー催行の可否の連絡が入るのですが、その時点ではまだ、雨も降っておらず、明日荒天の予報となっていたため、当日荒川登山口まで行って５時の時点で可否を決定するということになりました。
そして、当日の５時、まだ、ほんの小雨だったので決行。
初めから雨具を着てのトレッキングスタートでした。
しかし、雨脚は順調に予報通りとなり、縄文杉に到達した昼近くには土砂降りに。
幾度となく、雷鳴も響き渡り・・・。
それでもガイドさんは皆を気遣ってくれて、昼食が食べやすいように雨の中、テントを張ってくれたり、即席のみそ汁を作ってくれたり・・・。
皆、そそくさと昼食を終え、来た道を黙々と歩きました。
ザックカバーをしていても、リュックの中に雨水が入り、シューズの中もビチョビチョ、パンツの中もグッショリ。
でも、決行していただけて良かったです。
ホテルの売店の店員さんから「前日に天気予報で雨と言われ、トレッキングが中止となったのに、当日お天気になったお客さんもいた」という話を聞いて、
とりあえず、ツアー開催となり、無事に行って帰ってこれただけでも良かったと思いました。
１か月の内、３５日雨が降ると言われている屋久島ならではの雨の中でのトレッキング、良い思い出になり土産話になりました。
ガイドさん、そしてご一緒したツアーの仲間の皆さんお世話になりました。

In the morning, I experienced a mangrove kayak tour, and in the afternoon, I participated in a snorkeling adventure at the Blue Cave!

Both activities were in small groups, and I was able to enjoy them while receiving thorough explanations.

They also recommended great places for lunch, and I truly appreciated the attentive service!

During the kayaking, I leisurely floated down the mangrove river in a line with families.

For snorkeling, we went quite far out and were able to observe the fish swimming among the coral!

I was also grateful for the free photo service!

The reservation date was unfortunately canceled due to bad weather, but I was able to change it to the next day and finally participate in the long-awaited Jomon Sugi tour. The shuttle from the bus stop near my accommodation to the trailhead was very convenient.

The 22-kilometer trek was honestly tough, but thanks to the guidance of our guide, I managed to get through it and was rewarded with some truly beautiful scenery. The tea they made for us during a break gave me a boost of energy, and the photos I took in the poses suggested by the guide make me smile when I look back at them.

It was a tour that makes me want to go again.

予約日は、あいにくの天候で中止になってしまいましたが、翌日に変更して頂き何とか念願の縄文杉ツアーに参加出来ました。宿泊先の近くのバス停から登山口までの送迎は、とても楽でした。
22キロのトレッキングは正直しんどかったですが、ガイドさんの指導により何とか乗り切る事が出来て、とても素敵な景色に出会えました。途中の休憩時に作って下さった紅茶で元気出ました、言われるままのポーズで撮った写真も後から見ると、クスッと笑える良い写真です。
また行ってみたいと思えるツアーでしたた。

In the morning, I experienced canoeing in the mangroves, and in the afternoon, I explored the Blue Cave and went snorkeling.

It rained during the morning mangrove tour, but the combination of the rain and the mangrove atmosphere was very enchanting. I was worried about whether I could paddle well since it was my first time canoeing, but the guide kindly taught me, and I had a great time.

In the afternoon, for snorkeling and the Blue Cave, they provided wetsuits, fins, and life jackets, so I could swim with peace of mind. It was also nice that when I got tired, I could hold onto the guide's float and take a break.

They took a lot of photos and sent me all the data without any additional charge, so I can always relive the memories.

It was a very enjoyable tour.

午前中はマングローブでカヌー、午後は青の洞窟とシュノーケリングを体験させていただきました。

午前中のマングローブは雨でしたが、雨とマングローブの雰囲気が合っていてとても幻想的でした。
初めてのカヌーでうまく漕げるか心配していましたが、ガイドさんが優しく教えてくださり、楽しく体験できました。

午後のシュノーケリングと青の洞窟はウエットスーツやフィン、ライフジャケットも貸してくださり、安心して泳げました。
疲れたりした時はガイドさんの浮輪？に捕まって休憩したりもできるのでありがたかったです。

写真も沢山撮ってくださり、追加料金なしでデータ全て送ってくださるので、いつでも思い出に浸れます。

とても楽しいツアーでした。

We transferred to a bus and headed to the cruise ship terminal. The driver and guide was very good at speaking! After switching to the cruise ship, we observed the mangroves. Having done quite a few guided river cruises in Southeast Asia, I wasn't particularly impressed. We then transferred to another bus to go to the water buffalo cart station. The water buffalo cart ride while listening to Yaeyama folk songs was nice! The Okinawan cuisine at Yubu Island, accompanied by explanations, was delicious! After the meal, we took a commemorative photo with the water buffalo "Rui-kun"! I wanted the photo data and purchased two for 2500 yen. You can quickly download the data with a QR code. Then, there was a thunderstorm! During that time, we enjoyed Yubu Island coffee and cake at the Yubu Island tea house. The coffee was very tasty with a slight acidity. It seems to be a daily blend. When the rain lightened up, we returned to Iriomote Island by water buffalo cart, switched buses to go to the port, and took a boat to Taketomi Island. We took another bus and visited two beaches. At the much-anticipated Hoshizuna Beach, the rain stopped, but we couldn't find any star sand... After that, we enjoyed a guided tour of Taketomi while listening to Yaeyama folk songs on the water buffalo cart. After finishing, we took a commemorative photo. The data costs from 1500 yen. With only 20 minutes left, we went up to the observation building, bought ice cream at an ice cream shop, and ran around—then took the bus back to the port to return... I wish they could shorten the cruise time and give us an additional 30 minutes for sightseeing on Taketomi Island. It was quite a hassle to tear off and present tickets for every part of the itinerary. I would prefer a system where you just show a printed wristband with the course number, like at an amusement park.

色々なツアーの方と一緒でした。西表島までは結構長かったです。バスに乗り換え、クルーズ船乗り場まで行きます。運転手兼ガイドさんが喋りが上手いです！クルーズ船に乗り換え、マングローブ見学。東南アジアあちこちで、手漕ぎ船ガイド付きリバークルーズを、かなりしたので、イマイチ感動は無かったです。またバスに乗り換え水牛車乗り場まで行きます。八重山民謡を聴きながらの水牛車は良かったです！由布島について、説明付きの沖縄料理も美味しかったです！食後に水牛「るいくん」と記念撮影！写真データが欲しくて2枚2500円購入しました。QRコードですぐにテータ取り込めます。そこで雷雨のスコール！！その間、由布島茶屋で由布島コーヒーとケーキをいただきました。少し酸味のあるとても美味しいコーヒーでした。日替わりブレンドだそうです。小雨になるころにまた水牛車で西表島に帰り、バスに乗り替え港へ行き船で竹富島まで行きます。またバスに乗り２つ浜を回りました。楽しみの星砂浜で雨が上がりましたが、星砂は見つからず・・・。その後、水牛車にてガイドと八重山民謡を聴き竹富観光。終了後記念撮影。データーは、1500円～。
残り時間20分で展望ビルに上り、アイスの商店でアイス購入し、走り回り～またバスで港へ行き船で帰港・・・。クルーズ時間を短くするかして竹富島観光時間を、あと30分は取って欲しい。全ての行程でチケットを切り取り、出すのが大変でした。遊園地の腕輪のようにコース番号印刷をはめれば見せるだけでOKみたいなものを使ってほしいです。

2: Regarding the ox cart, I was informed by the local staff that moving to a different seat (especially towards the back) puts significant strain on the ox's neck, which has led to instances of fainting and even life-threatening situations in the past. It would have been better if this information had been provided during the adjustment phase when we were confirming our seating positions before departure, but this discussion happened during the return trip. I found it very stressful to receive a stern warning without prior explanation during the outbound trip when we were fixing our seats. I will never visit this island again. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I will not support it.

3: Additionally, the tour did not include the "2022 shuttle bus timetable" until I pointed it out. It was still showing the expired link from early 2021. 3:また本ツアーは「2022送迎バス時刻表」を私が指摘するまで掲載がありませんでした。リンク期限切れの2021年前半掲載のままでした。
管理担当者はツアー会社側と本仲介(マッチングサイト)両者と推測されます。管理担当者の運用意識が私にはわかりかねました。

4:ツアー前日に電話がかかってきてその際に集合時間を案内されますが(他ツアーも同じく)申し込みがWebなのにその後アナログ対応で電話とは。。。IP電話だと電話代発生しますし沖縄旅行だと前日もバタバタしていたり離島や電波の悪い場所にいたり(私はそうでした)。運用システムの改善を強く要望します。
要は、目的が「集合時間、場所相互認識一致」ですよね。
なら申し込みに使用したメールアドレスからそのような画面へうつってクリックするなりすれば目的は果たせますよね？
アプリや大掛かりなシステム開発では費用がかさむこともありますが
この程度のものなら短時間少人数で対応できるわけです。
今回沖縄旅行で2つのツアーを申し込みましたが、現システムの悪さを踏まえてもリピートはありません。
IT知識向上と最新情報のブラッシュアップ、マーケティングを再度見直してください。

上記理由と体験から、ツアー申し込みよりも個別オプションを自分で手配した方が不満回避になると思いました。

The Yaeyama region entered the rainy season considerably earlier than usual, so the island tour I was looking forward to was greatly diminished in enjoyment due to heavy rain. I apologize for this evaluation being based on the weather rather than the tour itself, but please understand it as a reflection of the experience.

I should have been surrounded by the blue sky and blue sea, creating a rare experience. Even with the cloudy skies and heavy rain, I managed to enjoy it to some extent, but my expectations were too high. (laughs)

The gelato at Yubu Island Chaya was delicious. I felt a bit sad that Taketomi Island has become more touristy compared to my visit 20 years ago.

Next time, I hope to use the tour again on a sunny day and give it a perfect score.

八重山地方が例年よりかなり早く梅雨入りしてしまったため、楽しみにしていた離島ツアーは大雨で楽しさ半減以下でした。

本当から青い空と青い海に囲まれて得難い経験ができたはずです。

竹富島は20年前に訪れた時より観光地化してたことが寂しく感じました。

On the day of the tour, we gathered at 10:30 at Imugya Marine Garden! The instructor was a cheerful and lively person named Kuma-kun. I was nervous since it was my first time canoeing, but I was grateful for the thorough explanations he provided. It was the middle of the rainy season, and unfortunately, the sea was murky due to heavy rain the day before, but luckily, the weather was calm on the day of the tour, allowing us to paddle smoothly to our favorite spots. I was so excited to discover how much fun canoeing can be! Along the way, we peeked into the water, navigated through narrow gaps between rocks, and even saw an eagle carrying a large fish (Kuma-kun mentioned it was his first time seeing that too). Chatting with Kuma-kun made the 1.5 hours fly by.

After that, we had a lunch break from 12:00 to 14:00, during which we could freely explore, eat at nearby shops, or visit souvenir stores.

In the afternoon, we gathered at Shigira Beach at 14:00, and the instructor was Mao-kun! He provided detailed explanations with great effort. I had done snorkeling a few times before, but I felt that he was the most thorough instructor I had encountered. In the sea, he took us to a spot where we could see clownfish, and then to a location where sea turtles were present for my long-awaited sea turtle snorkeling! I had seen sea turtles from above the water several times, but this time, they were so close that I could reach out and touch them (they stayed about 1 meter in front of me) while they were eating! I was able to witness the turtles coming up for air three times, every five minutes, and it was truly a lot of fun.

About an hour after the tour ended, they sent us many photos of the canoeing and snorkeling via LINE! This was amazing! Also, it's often difficult to take good photos while in the water, so receiving the data was really appreciated.

そのあと、12:00～14:00は昼休憩ですが、自由に行動できるので、近所のお店で食べたり、お土産物屋さんにいったりできます。

午後は14:00にシギラビーチに集合で、インストラクターはまおくんです！
一生懸命、丁寧に説明してくださりました。シュノーケリングはこれまで何度かしたことがありますが、今までで一番丁寧に説明してくださるインストラクターさんだな、と感じました。
海では、ニモのいるスポットに連れてってくれて、その後はウミガメがいる場所に連れてってくれて念願のウミガメシュノーケリング！！
ウミガメはこれまで海の上からは何度か見ることはありましたが、手を伸ばせば触れる近距離（目の前1mくらいのところにずっといます。）で、食事をしているところをずっと観察！！ウミガメの5分おきの息継ぎを3回も見ることができて、本当にとても楽しかったです。

ツアーが終了して約1時間後には、LINEを通してカヌーとシュノーケリングの写真をたくさん送ってくれました！これはすごい！また、海で自分で写真を撮ってもなかなかうまくは撮れませんし、データでいただけるのはすごくうれしかったです。

大満足な一日でした。

As a beginner in mountain climbing, it was really tough for me. After returning to the lodge in the evening, I was so exhausted that my spouse and I just fell asleep right away. However, since people of all ages participate, I think anyone can join. According to our guide, the moss isn't beautiful unless it rains, and you can't see the view from Taiko Rock unless it's sunny, so it was rare to have such an ideal day with rain the day before and good weather on the day itself. The nature and moss along the way were beautiful, but the view from Taiko Rock and the thrill of the cliffs were absolutely the best. It was hot, so I ended up not wearing most of the rental gear. There were quite a few people who took off their clothes along the way because they were drenched in sweat.

It's early in the morning and tough, but I think it's worth going at least once.

First, the trolley path takes about 2 hours one way, and after that, there's a 2-hour hike. For those who don't plan to hike or do similar activities, I recommend renting shoes, trekking poles, a backpack, and rain gear. Personally, I believe mid-cut trekking shoes are essential. I think I would have injured my ankles if I hadn't worn mid-cuts on the way down.

Also, if the weather isn't favorable, it might be quite tough... The scenery from the trolley path to the end is full of highlights. For those who love nature just by walking, I think it's irresistible.

There are water stations here and there, so you don't need to carry too much water. Bringing powdered sports drinks can help lighten your load a bit. The toilets are limited in number, so I managed to avoid using a portable toilet by keeping my hydration moderate.

Having a few sweet snacks made things much easier. Overall, it's tough, but for those who want to experience a sense of achievement and overwhelming nature, I think it's worth it.

最初にトロッコ道が片道約2時間、これが終わると登山を2時間あります。
これから登山などをする予定が無い人は、レンタルで靴やストック、リュック、雨具などをした方がいいと思います。
個人的にミドルカットのトレッキングシューズは必須と思います。
下りで2回ほどミドルカットでなければ足首痛めてただろうなぁと思います。
あとは、天気に恵まれないとかなりキツイかも…
景色はトロッコ道から最後まで見どころ満載です。
歩いてるだけで自然が好きな方にはたまらないと思います。
飲み物は、ところどころに給水場があるのであまり大量に持って行かなくても大丈夫でした。
粉末のスポーツドリンクを持っていけば少しだけ荷物減らせます。
トイレは、場所が限られてるので水分補給はほどほどにしてなんとか携帯トイレ使わずに済みました。
あとは、甘いものが少しあるだけでだいぶ楽になりました。
とにかくキツイけど、達成感と圧倒的な自然を体験したいかたは行く価値ありと思います。

ガイドさんにも天気にも恵まれて最高の旅行になりました。
本当にありがとうございました。
また屋久島に来ます。

・ケガした場合は背負うが、可愛い子限定だと連呼。
・疲れたからトロッコに乗せて欲しいと友人と冗談で話していたら、「首の骨が折れたら乗せてもらえる」と。耳を疑った。
・復路に足を滑らせ転んでしまったが、なんのケアもない上、自分が歩きやすい所を歩いているのに、見ていないのがダメなんだと言われる。
・復路のトロッコ道はなぜかガイドが最後尾にいき、私が先頭を歩かされた上、もっとスピードあげろといわれ、トイレ休憩すらままならない。最後のトイレのタイミングも教えてもらえなかった。
など、あげたらキリがないが、トータル、楽しんでもらおうという気がなく、自分を褒めて欲しいという自己中心的な、最悪なガイドだった。

I signed up for a snorkeling tour at the Blue Cave and a mangrove SUP tour, but we couldn't go to the Blue Cave due to bad weather. However, the day before, they suggested snorkeling at a different location, and I decided to experience that instead. On the day of the tour, it was cloudy with some light rain, but I was able to enjoy both snorkeling and SUP thoroughly.

They took over 100 photos during the experience, and I was happy to receive the data for free. I didn't have to worry about taking my own photos, which allowed me to focus on the activities. The guides were really cheerful, and I had a great time throughout the experience. I decided to join on short notice when I came to Miyako Island for work! Since I participated alone, I was a bit embarrassed at first, but the staff were easy to talk to and very nice, which helped me relax before the shoot, and I was able to take beautiful photos! I challenged myself with my mother in her 60s, and although I had concerns about our physical stamina, the guide taught us walking tips and made sure we took adequate breaks, allowing us to reach the summit. We also learned various things, such as why the Yakusugi trees live so long, and we took many photos, which made the trekking experience much more enjoyable. We were blessed with good weather, and the view from Taiko Rock still excites me when I think about it.

Since the hiking trail is not as well-maintained as Mount Fuji's and there were puddles even on sunny days, I was glad I brought hiking boots. Additionally, trekking poles were a great help for my mother both going up and down. (Although there were no available plans with gear rental, we were able to borrow them from a rental shop near the airport.)

We created the best memories of a mother-daughter trip. Thank you to our guide, Mr. Manabe, and the three women in our group who matched our pace.

　富士山のように整備された登山道ではないのと、晴れてても水溜りがあるので、登山靴は持参して良かったです。また、母には登りも下りもストックが良い助けになりました。（グッズレンタル付きのプランは空きが無かったのですが、空港近くのレンタルショップで借りられました。）
　最高の母娘旅行の思い出ができました。ガイドの真辺さんも、ペースを合わせてくれた同グループの女性３人組も、ありがとうございました。

Everyone was a beginner and felt anxious, but our guide, Ryusei, provided thorough explanations, and we gradually got the hang of it, making our way through the mangrove forest. The trekking to the waterfall was thrilling as we crossed a river that had risen due to the rain, and we arrived at the waterfall. We took photos in front of a rare waterfall that looked different from usual ones. We also enjoyed paddling back in the canoe. In the afternoon, we were able to land on Barasu Island, which we had given up on, and at two snorkeling spots, we saw wonderful coral reefs and tropical fish. Ryusei was cheerful and attentive throughout, which made us feel really safe and able to enjoy ourselves. For those worried about the weather, I highly recommend this tour as you can have a great time even in the rain!

出発前日に潮位の関係でバラス島上陸が難しいかもしれないとのご連絡を頂き、また、天気予報も雨だったので正直、少しがっかりした気持ちでの参加でした。当日はフェリーで西表島へ向かう途中から雨。お迎えの車内で説明を聞き、雨の中カヌーがスタート。50代女3人旅で、カヌーも3人乗り。皆初体験で不安がありましたが、ガイドのりゅうせい君が丁寧に説明して下さり、次第にコツを掴み、マングローブの森の中を進む事が出来ました。滝までのトレッキングは、雨で増水した川を横切ったりとスリル満点の中滝に到着。普段の滝とは様子が違うレアな滝の前で写真撮影。帰りのカヌーも楽しく漕ぎました。午後のシュノーケリングは、諦めていたバラス島にも上陸出来、2カ所のポイントで、素晴らしい珊瑚礁と熱帯魚を見ることが出来ました。りゅうせい君が終始明るく細かく声をかけてくれたので、本当に安心して楽しむ事が出来ました。天候で悩んでる方には雨でも全く心配なく楽しめるツアーなので、オススメしたいです！
