There were nearly 40 participants today, and I was the only Japanese person. The guide was from Shanghai and spoke Chinese, English, and Japanese. That's impressive. However, when I mistakenly went to Toyohira Valley instead of Jozankei, the driver kindly took me back, and when I dropped my smartphone during my free time and panicked, they waited for me. While listening to the audio guide through my earphones, I visited Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu for the first time. The snowy scenery was incredibly beautiful thanks to the favorable weather. From the window of the hotel restaurant where we stopped for lunch, I enjoyed a wonderful view that looked like a postcard, along with elegantly arranged kaiseki cuisine. I was very satisfied to be part of this tour.

Shikotsu Lake, Toya Lake, lunch, Usuzan Ropeway, the weather was great and it was the best experience.
I didn't have high expectations for lunch, but considering the sightseeing fee, it was very good.
The outbound and return journeys were significantly delayed due to snowy roads, but thanks to the driver's careful driving and the timely guidance from the tour guide (Mr. Yamauchi), I was able to enjoy the trip without getting bored.
The other passengers were also great people.
Overall, it was excellent.
All the crew and passengers were wonderful.
If I have the opportunity, I will use Chuo Bus and Veltra again.

We are very impressed with the guide as she was friendly and her explanation with sufficient knowledge kept us interested with the sites. We enjoyed Gokayama very much (touched my heart!) but Shirakawago was a let-down as the location was packed with Asian tourists. It was not like in Japan at all! Although we had more than 3 hours there to explore, we had to wait about one hour just to get in a restaurant for lunch. We later noticed that the places which require an entry fee were less crowded. Our recommendation is "Minkaen" and "Kanda House." The map they provide is not very accurate (the numbers on the map were confusing). The guide was very kind and it was great. Her explanations were thorough, and we listened with interest. Gokayama was serene and moving. (I received a very detailed explanation at the farmhouse. It brought me to tears.) Unfortunately, Shirakawago was disappointing. It was extremely crowded with Asian tourists, and it didn't feel like Japan at all. Even though we had more than 3 hours to explore, it wasn't enough. We had to wait over an hour just to have lunch. We should have given up on the shuttle to the observation deck from the start; if we had gone to places that require an entry fee, we could have enjoyed a quieter experience. I made a reservation and had some requests that I communicated through inquiries, but on the day of the pickup, I was told I wasn't on the customer list... The guide confirmed with the head office, and I was finally able to board. However, since I wasn't on the list, even though I reserved for four people, we couldn't all ride together and had to split into two buses with two people each. The order of the route was different, so in the end, we mostly ended up going around separately. I was quite disappointed.

The tour itself was conducted with two large buses, one in Chinese and the other in English. コース自体はそれぞれの場所に30-90分くらい滞在する形でちゃちゃっと全部周るという面ではとても良かったです。自由行動なので経験は人それぞれになるかと思います。短いと感じる時もあれば、もういいやと思うときとありました。ひとまず、時間通りにというのを誇張されていたのでみんな規律と時間厳守ですごく統制は取れていました。

Our guide, Catherine, was very knowledgeable and skillfully explained things in Japanese, English, and Chinese. She was also a great speaker, and I really enjoyed it! I would love to join her guided tour again.

About 80% of the other guests were from Korea and China, and there were few Japanese guests, but everyone was quiet on the bus and adhered to the meeting times, making it a very comfortable tour.

The only downside was that I was looking forward to the photo of the Showa Shinzan Ropeway included in the tour photos, but we didn't have enough time to ride it, so just be aware of that. Other than that, it was a very satisfying tour!

ひとつだけ残念なのは、ツアー写真に昭和新山のロープウェイの写真があったので楽しみにしていたのですが、ロープウェイに乗るには時間が足りず乗れないので、そこだけ注意です。
それ以外はとても大満足なツアーでした！

Whenever I go to Arashiyama, I always take a boat ride down the Hozu River and then enjoy walking around and eating in Arashiyama. It's so much fun, and I recommend it especially during the autumn foliage and cherry blossom seasons as it's beautiful. You might get a little wet. There are no restrooms for about two hours, so make sure to go before you start.

On the last Sunday of November, due to the high season, my reservation for 9 AM was canceled about four weeks in advance. Not wanting to give up, I managed to successfully rebook for 9 AM about two weeks ago, which was a relief.

It seems that slots that were previously unavailable are now opening up at the last minute, so it might be worth checking frequently. Although you are asked to arrive 15 minutes before your reservation time, there is a shop in the waiting area where you can eat and drink, and there are spacious, warm benches to sit on, so arriving early shouldn't be a problem.

You can bring food and drinks onto the boat, so you can enjoy snacks while calculating restroom breaks. The travel time by boat seems to vary depending on the river's water level. If it's not winter, there is a shop on the boat towards the end where you can also get warm food.

We happened to see a monkey, which made my child very happy. We enjoyed the autumn leaves while being entertained by the fun talks of the three boatmen. If I have the chance again, I will definitely come back!

猿とたまたま会えたので子供がとても喜んでました。
紅葉を楽しみながら船頭さん３人の楽しいトークに引き込まれました。また機会があればお世話になります!

The boat ride is thrilling yet relaxing, and once you reach the dock near Togetsukyo Bridge, enjoy some herring soba, visit the Kamo Shrine, then head into the crowds for a stroll through the bamboo grove and to enjoy the autumn leaves. It’s a packed itinerary! I’ll be going again in spring.

Since there were few participants, we could choose our bus seats freely and sit comfortably, which was very pleasant. Both the guide and the driver were nice people. The lunch was also delicious. I think it was much more cost-effective in terms of time and money compared to going by public transportation on our own. However, it was a bit disappointing that we ended up with a group of foreign tourists on the Usuzan Ropeway, and it was extremely noisy.
